The sun seeped through her small motel room window. She was staying in a motel. Thats what her parents drove her to. All because of a stupid deal with the devil. People say they sell their souls to the Devil, but for her its true. She is stuck with this damn curse. It follows her everywhere. It's the reason she is damaged. It's the reason she is alone. The curse killed her parents. Only after they realized how big of a mistake they had made. Ebony is starting new. She moved to a little disserted town and now going to try and finish high school. To try and be normal. One thing she never knew is why did it have to be her. What did God care nothing about her?Was he just going to let Satan win. The thoughts bombarded her restless mind as the sounds of 200+ teenagers filled the atmosphere around her. Ebony walked into the busy hallway at school. This was going to be interesting. She got her schedual and then went to her homeroom number, 666. Tiaynn's day started off like normal. Her normal shitty life. Her parents were gone, as usual, on some business trip. The nanny was asleep and her house guest was off, somewhere. She got dressed and went off to meet up for a morning smoke before school started. It was senior year and she couldn't wait to get the hell out of this crappy town. They were none as the pot-heads, who got high everyday and through great parties. Tiaynn didn't know how she got started in the drugs. Probably because of her lack of authority in her life. Her nanny was some foriegn lady who was lazy and spoke very little english. That in return made it very easy for Tiaynn to get away with pretty much anything. Its a thrill. The drug. It makesher forget all the pain her parents have caused in her life. They never cared. Her group of friends understand her. They make her feel accepted and they are like her. They like getting high off of eachother's high. After her morning drug she went to her homeroom, 666. |

"I can't believe I'm here." A young man thought as he pushed his way through the crowds. He brushed a strand of blonde hair from his face, and nearly ran into a random teen. "I'm an Angel. Very nearly an Archangel, when it comes right to it. I should NOT be wasting my time watching over some girl. Just because she's living on her own means nothing. There isn't a protector for every single person who livs alone. This is stupid." he complained in his mind. He blinked his eyes in a futile attempt to clear the blur. The contacts were killing him. Then again, it was better than trying to explain why a normal teenage guy had bright red eyes. He was getting enough stares because of his arm as it was. The shining golden metal stood out against the dull colors of earth in a way that made everyone both curious and wary. With a sigh, Aden stopped in the middle of the hall. They wanted to stare? Fine. Let them stare. He was just going to be in the middle of everyone's way while they did so. For an angel, the young looking man sure was spiteful. He held a piece of paper close to his face, trying to read the words printed there. The contacts he had to wear to hide his eye color were making his vision worse. It was very irksome to the angelboy, who was used to having beyond the normal human's "perfect vision". Eventually, Aden found the room he was looking for. "666" he muttered with a laugh. "Of course." he shook his head slightly, finding amusement in the irony. Send the angel kid to a room with the devil's number. Aden walked into the room, and looked around. There were only a few people sitting there, but fortunately, one of those people was the one he needed. He knew he couldn't very well go up to her and tell who he was, however, so he had to think up a different approach. The blonde walked over to her, and smiled. "Hello?" he asked, looking at her. "I am Aden..." he wasn't sure what she would think of some random kid walking up to her and trying to start a conversation. Hopefully she wouldn't be scared of him, or think he was a creep like most. That would make his job much more difficult than it already was. The day was just starting, and the warrior boy already wanted to quit. Edited by Dream, January 6, 2012, 7:39 pm.

[tab]Emma walked through the doors of the school to discover that almost nobody was in the hallway. This didn't surprise her, since she liked to get to school early. Pushing her glasses up, she walked through the hallways, enjoying the silence. Since it was the first day of school, she only carried with her a notebook and a leather-bound composition titled "The Complete Works of E.A. Poe, book IV", to pass the time for when the teachers finished talking early. A pencil was neatly tucked behind one ear, should she be in nead of a writing utensil. [tab]The first day back from summer vacation was usually rather dull, and used to explain the school rules and go over the class syllabus. Emma looked at the number that she had written on the back of her hand when she got up for breakfast. 666, the devil's number; a bit of an odd number. Emma doubted that there were even that many rooms in the school. Well, her homeroom was supposedly on the second floor, so off she set. [tab]When Emma walked into the room, she was the only student there. Walking over to the corner, she set her things down by the seat next to the window. She opened her book, and all else faded away as she immersed herself in the literary genius of her favorite author. [tab]Emma looked up from her book sometime later, and saw that she and the teacher were no longer alone. There was a girl who she had never seen before. Must be new. She looked... Frightened in a way. Like she would rather be anywhere but here. Emma was considering going over to introduce herself, when someone else walked into the room. His name, as Emma found out by listening to the boy introduce himself to the new girl, was Aden. He was new, as well. His nervous aura was very... Unique. He looked frazzled, and there was something strange about his eyes. Nevertheless, with the two new kids introduced, Emma felt no need to go and say hi. She happily turned back to her book. |

Nathan did not like such confinement, nor did he like the idea of being at this school so early. There was no one in the hallways as was escorted by in Foster mother to his homeroom. Meandering behind her slightly, but not too far. Nathan wouldn't be so rude even though he could care less about participating in school activities, doing homework, or group assignments they had students do in school. "All the Above," He thought, "I cannot be here, being more awake than the sleepers here." Thinking of such as they found his homeroom, his foster mother was horrible with navigation. Nathan got pushed into the room by the Foster parent, "Yeah. Later. I'll stay for homeroom." As if he would stay for the schooling, but he kept his promise finding a spot in the back of the classroom, which was empty except for a teacher riding on a chalkboard. Nathan "Draugur" took a seat and promptly put his head on the table acting as if he was napping till everyone arrived for the start of the day. Being at this school at 7:15 in the morning did not have any students wandering the halls, except for those that were in clubs or those that there are early birds. This gave him plenty of time to not be interrupted as he closed his eyes. THE GHOST: "Haha! Kid you surely do get bored quickly." Nathan:"So you would say," he spoke with his mind like he would with his voice, but no one could hear their conversation, "You have yet to give me your name, and you still make such remarks." "Haha! well aren't you just fond of my company." "Yea sure... So what is it today that will get you to trust your 'Host' you damned spirit." "Well I do like the scenery of the Forest, but if ya can find me a lake beyond the brush, then I will consider returning your sleep you 'Insomniac' hahaha..." An echoing laughter covered Nathan's head making him twitch slightly. "Yea as if you give me a choice anyways, keeping me awake so you can see the stupid stars." A crude smile was imaged in Nathan's head taking away the laughter, but making him see this dragon-formed spirit sear a flaming Cheshire smile in his mind when he blinked his eyes. "How annoying," He thought as he opened his eyes and the ghost chuckling, fading away. As his eyes opened to reveal the light of day, spraying through the windows of the classroom, it came to his knowledge that the room was almost filled with bodies of people in each seat. *sigh* great i still have time to spare. He thought that might as well figure out what his schedule is and which rooms he would have to visit every now and then, as he looked at his printed schedule paper his homeroom number said '666', what a strange number to have in a school. When he saw the information on this paper, Nathan smirked slightly, "hah, what an interesting homeroom number, still won't make me stay today," thinking to himself again as he continued reading his schedule. Homeroom Room# 666 Mathematics Room# 159 English Room# 544 LUNCH @ 12.30 History Room# 333 Health Room# 544 Great a boring day, everyday. Better off going to library. Nathan crumbled the paper and threw into the trashcan that was up at the front, next to the teacher's desk. Score! He smiled at the successful throw into the can, as he pulled his hood up of his hoodie and acted as if he was sleeping but his eyes were open, no one can see his face though, as he had put his head on the desk again like any other morning napper in this homeroom. Luce was parking in the teachers lot behind the school. he parked right in front of the dumpster, the dumpster that was issuing smoke.... Right, cause that looks healthy as he got out of his car and walked around the front very near to the dumpster he called out, Johnson you wasted no time getting in trouble it seems to the general sound of coughing and sputtering and stomping out a cigarette. Stay after class fourth period to see me he said as he walked inside. As he unlocked his room he looked at his number. 666, I gotta get that changed... he thought. He unlocked his room, walked inside hit the lights and went over to his desk and emptied his contents into their respective drawers. As he started writing his name on the board a few students meandered in, one of which immediately started to sleep. well he looks like a productive member of society Luce said quietly to himself. The next patron, a girl, walked in and immediately started to read. Now her, lets open that soul to see what we have he thought as he feigned fishing around in his briefcase. He set his soul onto her so search her, to see who she was, her strength, her integrity, her character. Smart...witty...shy...oh, what..was this girl soul unconsciously fighting his out?...interesting, ah there it is, too awkward in social situations to be of any real use to me. Then, Oh happy day he thought, Ebony waked in. Ebony. Wonderful, unprotected, alone, angry, Ebony. This will be good. It was at this point a boy walked in, this kid was new he didn't know hi yet, and Luce knew the whole student body, this child, well more of a man really. He had a conviction about him, he even walked with it, Aden was this mans name. He started to search soul, which immediately seared pain through his head and body. A soldier, that's what this boy was, a fighter, to the end. What though, did you fight for, and why the hell did that cause so much pain. As he left her conscious the bell rang meaning that all the students should be there, he looked up. Most were, subtracting the few dregs that were late on their first day, but they all filed in, the latest of which being no more than 5 minutes late. He opened with Good morning class, most of you know me, but for those who don't, my name is Luce Dalhoffer, but I expect you to call me Mr. Dalhoffer |

Oh, had it been a long night. He hadn't been able to sleep, not really. From ten until twelve he'd tossed and turned - back and forth, face up, even face down as a last resort in sleeping positions. Breathing suffocated in the pillow, neck bent at an angle that neither looks nor feels comfortable, he made a choice. Either he could spend the night churning up the covers with wishful thinking, or he could do something productive with his time. Grabbing his coat and struggling to pull his jeans on in the dark and dangerous mess of a room, out the window he went. Mrs Barnes didn't like her son wandering around during the day, if she knew he'd spend many a summer night not sleeping over a friend's she'd throw a tantrum. She'd stand ramrod straight, ominous clouds forming around her darkly, "You listen to me, boy -" (and that one hurt because he'd figured once he turned eighteen he'd at least be considered a man-child at best, he thought it one step up from just plain old, 'boy') "It's a dangerous world out there, and that pretty little face isn't going to stop anyone." Rhys paused as he climbed over the rail, thinking about it, replaying her words enough times to make an impression - then shrugged it off and continued down the fire escape regardless. He'd return at half past two in the morning, climb back up the same ladder and suck it back up into the shadows of the alley between his building and the next and collapse on the bed, asleep and awake in time for school without having shifted an inch for comfort in the remainder of the night. At least the first day of school would be semi-exciting. No lectures or due dates or other worries, he might actually be able to stay awake until he could make up for lost time after school with a nap on the couch. Rhys moved through the familiar-unfamiliar halls with relative ease, dodging others with a precision like he'd been in that same spot yesterday. Thank God in reality it had been three months. He could only be sad it was over, but he could definitely say the time had not gone for naught. He walked in to his first class, not paying much attention as he took his seat. Not until the teacher started introducing himself. Rhys immediately perked up, trying to place the voice. The face didn't ring many bells but that voice... It came to his memories as the one from the empty building on Crawton Ave. Which reminded him he was supposed to be looking for someone today. A new girl. Ebony. Odd name, but that much didn't really matter to him. Did he think it off that a stranger had approached him in a dark and abandoned building he assumed neither of them should have been just to ask him to (basically) spy on some new and peculiar girl? Well, yes, but it had seemed so intriguing to Rhys, he wasn't going to ask questions. He had a soft spot for 'intriguing' and curious things, and this seemed like a real mission, more so than simply the strange things he sometimes found in those abandoned buildings. But still, the face of 'Mr Dalhoffer' didn't seem familiar to the boy. He couldn't even say the voice was exactly the same, just eerily similar. He hadn't gotten to really get a good look at the man who wanted him to 'spy' on this new girl, whoever she was. So for now, he just did his best to pay attention to all the little things. Little things that betray a person. |

Nathan lifted his head up after the teacher's, oh wait... Mr. Dalhoffer's first few words to the morning class. As Nathan thought to himself mostly, ignoring the noise that was actually present outside of his head, he pondered how he should flee to the woods from the wretched confinements of this building. Speed would be everything, sprinting across the open fields and getting to the heights of the branches. Just the idea of getting out without anyone of high importance knowing, that would be the challenge. As Nathan stared out the windows of the class room that overlooked the open fields and the parking lot below, there was an idea that seemed fairly nice. It might risk the fact that someone from the principal's could see him for a moment. TheGHOST: "Ya know, waiting for time to catch up with your thoughts seem quite degrading. How about we make things interesting... boy..." Nathan: "What do you want now?!" This could not be good in any way as it is difficult to satisfy a deathly spirit, but what can I do? "Hahaha... You will have to leave now if you want to make it on time..." "What!? why would you say such a thing?" His brained went blank with an evil grin imprinted in the empty space and echoing laughter fading in and out. "You bastard, you must know there is a lake out there. You have to be so demanding when I wanted to do this my way for once." Nathan was angered at such a request, but being that there is no choice for him he had to make a move now... His relationship with this bonded ghost made Nathan live a life he partially did not like at all. Choices that were made for him, all to figure out why he had to be the host for mischief, also, to figure out how to remove this supernatural thing from his life. Then again he did like the abilities and power he was given, for living the life he had would have been difficult and he would have died years ago. *So be it you mischievous fiend*... Nathan decided that he must fulfill the request to rest easy later and to keep the relationship he has with the entity living in his body. With his strong his mind, Nathan "Draugur" stood up, and only ten minutes left of this morning gathering was left too. His hood fell back as he took his stand. "Sorry for the disruption, but I cannot stay here for much longer," Nathan exclaimed to Mr. Dalhoffer, which at the moment started walking ontop of a couple desks to reach a window to open. When he opened the window wide open, the smell and breeze of the elevated fresh air lifted his spirit, breathing a deep breath, inhaling the wind into his lungs softly closing his eyes for a short moment. Looking back at the teacher, Nathan smiled like a child and giggled as he perched at the opening of the window like a gargoyle. "So long, I might be back later," he mentioned out loud as images of the lake's location flashed in his mind. Once he had the location after a couple seconds he simply jumped down into a grouping of brushes and flowers below. "HEHE, excellent boy... I wander what reactions you'll get from that?" "SHUT IT! you damned spirit. All that just to make it more entertaining for you what were you thinking?" His legs quickly absorbed the landing and the energy that was given to heal quickly dispersed to running speed, jolting shortly after his landing. "Don't insult me with words about thinking. I'm here for you and a bit of fun, and last time i checked... you were the one with the brain, and you now have only TEN minutes to reach the lake, I hope you can jump on branch as fast as you can run, don't wanna suffer poison IVY...." *Damn him and that maniacal laugh of his* Nathan ran his anger till he was out of the parking lot, then quickly realized that he had to scale three quarters of a mile of open fields followed by one and a half miles of branch jumping. This did not seem like the fun he wanted, but who wants poison ivy. Before he knew it, the fields were not a problem as his quickly disappeared into the tree line. August 25, 2010 5:45 Today was the first day of classes. My one teacher, Mr. Dalahofer, had a erie vibe, and it was like half of me, probobly Asura, belonged to him. There was also another kid. Aden. He was unusual and crippled. he seemed eager to talk to me, and there was something about him that made the other me cringe inside. Also, a very strange boy was in my homeroom, he got up walked across the desks and jummped out the window. Strange... It was so weird being back in school. Lying to all the teachers who were telling her to have her parents fill out these forms and return them ASAP. After the fourth or fith one she wanted to shout: "My parents are dead! They died the moment they regreted their decision to sell me to the devil." I have so much anger inside me towards them. Why did they have to make that awful decision 17 years ago. Anyways the rest of the day went ok, I noticed a shy girl sitting alone at lunch today, I would have sat by her but, it was my friest day, and I wanted to be alone, so went to the roof top and ate. Only 179 more days left before I move to another town and continue fighting this bitch inside of me or... well, I'd rather not go down that road. I hope Asura does not go to the back to school bash in the woods tonight.... that would be social suicide. The sun is setting.... Ebony. Tiaynn was up in her loft bedroom blasting music while getting high off the fumes of nailpolish, she was redoing her black for the party tonight. He friends were supplying the booze. Tonight would be fun. She had skipped most of homeroom so she had got lectured by Mr. D-for dick-head-. But, none of it mattered, her parents didn;t care and her 17th 'nanny' didn't speak english. Later around, 7:30, she went out, dressed in her usual skank, goth outfit and headed for the woods with her pot and fake ID. Tonight was going to be fun. The teacher soon entered the room, and Aden's attention was drawn straight to him. There was something about the man; something familiar. He couldn't quite place the feeling, but he felt that he had met the man before. That couldn't be possible, because he never went out into earth before that day. He turned away from the man, then sighed. He was no longer really paying attention, losing himself in thought, when a presence was felt intruding on his mind. His mind fought back instinctively, shutting off all access in a burning wall of fire. His eyes traveled around the room, trying to identify the source, but he couldn't quite figure it out. --- Aden was sitting on the bed in his small hotel-room style apartment. The whole day, all anyone had been talking about was the "Back to school" party. It was enough to make the poor angelboy sick. He was never a fan of the party scene, and yet there he was, basically forced to attend. He had to keep up appearances, after all. He supposed it couldn't get that bad; it wasn't as if he'd actually get drunk or high or anything. It was more annoying than anything else. With that thought in mind, the boy flew across the sky - in angel form - heading towards the party. |

[tab]The sun was sinking over the horizon. Asura was rising from her daytime stupor, spreading her control over the body. As the growing shadows encapsuled the land, her power became more and more complete. She stretched her stolen limbs, asserting her usual nighttime dominance. Oh, these humans and their weak mindsets. How easily they succomb to another's will. I hardly had to fight to gain control tonight. She must be tired from the school day. Well, now lets see, shall we go to that party tonight? Asura grinned a malicious grin, an otherworldly look in her eyes. She walked over to the closet in Ebony's apartment, and grabbed the tightest black outfit she could find. She took scissors and ripped it up a bit. That's a bit better. [tab]Walking through the shadows, Asura saw the lights and heard the noises of a rather rowdy party. She hung on the outskirts of it, just observing the mortals that busied themselves with the consumption of fermented beverages and the rythmic movements of the body. There was no real danger here. No good. She walked a little ways back into the woods. Focusing her energy and ignoring the protests of the mortal inside the body, Asura gathered the forces of hell behind her will. Suddenly, a pain shot through the mortal body, and the girl inside was screaming in pure agony. Asura smiled, glad to have caused it. A pair of jet black raven wings broke through the skin out of her back. The demon forced the body to familiarize itself with the feel of flying, and sped into the air away from the party. She flew for a minute until she happened upon a barn, where she decided to land. Looking back, Asura could still see the lights from the party. [tab]The demon retracted her wings, and forced the body to shed them. The lifeless structures promptly turned to ask and blew away in the wind. Asura looked out over the barn. It was too simple. All she had to do was jump off, which would destroy the life of Ebony, the girl who Asura had been trying to kill for as long as the mortal had been alive. As soon as she started running, the girl inside started fighting. She was nearing the edge when she felt her grasp on the control of the body weakening. Ebony was fighting back. Just as she was about to jump, the body jerked to a stop. Frowning, Asura struggled with Ebony. Neither was going to give up. [tab]Damnit! Asura gained momentary control over the body. Enough to force it to sit down on top of the old, decaying structure. Human will to live is too strong. I'm going to need to try a different tactic. She started throwing the body around, bruising and scratching it while the girl inside cried out in pain. It wasn't enough to cause any real damage, but enough to weaken the willpower of the girl trapped inside. Asura kept this up for a while, knowing that the marks would be hard to explain tomorrow at school. She would need to converse with her master to find a new tactic for loosening the girls hold on her body. |

The stench of alcohol and marijuana was pushed up Emma's nose by a cool, brisk breeze which forced her to inhale deeply. The damp moss that she was crouching on acted as a sponge, transferring the water from the ground to the seat of Emma's second-hand jeans. These were her favorite pair of jeans; they had so many memories. They were so old and worn-in and comfortable, just like a good book. The flashing lights and loud, repetitive music were overwhelming. There were hundreds of teenagers there. Emma knew all their names, but none of them really knew her. She didn't fit into any social norms, not even the nerds. So why was she here? Those two new kids, Ebony and Aden. She wanted to learn more about them. There was something strange, it almost drew her to them. She could handle being alone, but for once, it would be nice to have someone to talk to. So, here she was. Out of her element in a tank top and shorts. She never wore tank tops, so she had a faint uncomfortable feeling in the back of her mind, but she dismissed it. Emmaline looked around, but couldn't see either Aden or Ebony. Well, I might as well go home. There's no point in staying. Hold on, is that a light by that old barn? It almost looks like there's a person over there. Should I go over and check it out? Yeah. What else do I have to do? I told my parents I wouldn't be back until later. Its going to take a while to walk there. I'll go for it. I talk to myself a lot, don't I? Its probably because I'm alone so much. Fast forward a half of an hour, and Emma wrenched her tank top out of a briar bush as she stumbled into the clearing where the decrepit barn stood in the moonlight. There was indeed a person on top of the barn. He/she seemed to be meditating or something of the sort. What was going on? Hello? Is everything alright? The figure did not hear her, apparently, because he/she did not respond. Should I leave him alone? Should I go check it out? What if they need help, and I just walk away? That wouldn't be right. But what if they just want to be left alone, and that's why they aren't replying? Situations like these (by which Emma situations involving other people in general, since she was not used to them) are so confusing. I should just stick to hanging with Socrates. Emma contemplated this dilemma for several minutes more, eventually deciding to sit down and wait until the person on Edited by Frostbitten, March 1, 2012, 10:53 pm.
