Comrade, the work you put into your character makes me ashamed to post mine.

Since I hate writing out characters, naturally, it sucks. But, here it is none the less.

AAAAAND DOOOOOOM is she gonna be an NPC or a playable character? I mean go for it but just lemmie know which section to put her in.

I read that wrong. Anyways uh....I think I'ma make another CS for NPC's because....all that info is kinda unnecessary. So uh. use this for the sister

Code:

[align=center][b][big]USERNAME's NPC[/big][/b][/align]
[b]Name:[/b]
[b]Age:[/b]
[b]D.O.A:[/b] (that stands for Dead or alive...which...just write if they're a zombie or human)
[b]Appearance:[/b] (once again, description or picture. keep the desc. basic)
[b]Relatives:[/b] (family members or who is 'responsible' for them)

Name: Zach Meyer “Miles”

Age: 17

Appearance:
Spoiler: click to toggle

He has back messy hair with dark brown eyes. He is about 5 foot 6 inches and weighs around 150. He wears a white shirt (now with blood stains) with knee length shorts that are blue jeans with two loops on the side for his Kama. He also wears his Kabujitsu belt around his head, Black.

Personality: He keeps to himself most of the time, but will speak up when he needs to. He is completely stubborn and wants to do everything his way. He is more the type A personality. A bit of a sore loser, but when he wins everyone that is a loser he makes sure they know he is the winner. Can be aggressive, but from karate he has learned that his hands are a weapon and will be treated as so. He learned that one the hard way. He is laid back with time, never in a rush.

Strengths:
• Good at Karate and the kama
• Deep down has a good heart
• Thinks things threw
• Knows the area quite well
• Has good stamina

Weaknesses:
• Loner, he doesn’t talk to many people unless needed
• Believes survival of the fittest
• He does whatever it takes to make his sister happy
• stubborn
• Thinks that he is better than everyone else

Family: He watches over his little sister Eilley(Elly). She is about six years old and carries around a stuffed chikadi called chicdi. She holds Zach’s tonfas as weapon. Her height is about 3 feet and 2 inches. She weighs about 45. Hair and eyes match Zach’s. She wears a purple dress with white frills around the edges.
Zach is unsure of his mother’s where-abouts. She was at work when the outbreak had happened and never came home. Other family members have probably been killed off.

History: The reason why Zach and his family had moved to Laim is because his parents got divorced when his mother was pregnant with Elly. And ever since Elly was born Zach has been taking care of her. Making sure she had fresh air, someone to play with, and most of all someone who loved her. All of this caring for his sister made him not care to much about school. His grades got poor and he didn’t care. He skips most classes and never does home work. The only school subject that he ever goes to is math, because he is excellent in it. On an average day you will be able to find him wandering the town looking for something to do. He doesn’t like most people and is a loner, so he has no friends to really talk to or do things with.
Zach is super good at a type of karate called Kabujitsu. It came from Okinawa, japan, when Japan started to take it over, so the farmers there fought back with whatever they had, which was farmer tools. So he is skilled in a bo(long stick/ ore), Kamas(shorter stick with blades on the end), and Tunfas(wooden and looks like a short stick with a handle sticking out the side). He has been taking classes ever since he was young and had only stop within the past year, for he no longer could teach classes because his grades were so low.
The day everything happened he was in the house playing with his sister for she had just gotten out of Kindergarten. And took care of her, believing his mother had finally decided to leave the kids behind.

What about weapons? Like, they weren't listed in the profiles, but I intend to have my guy using a machete, .22 pistol, and a crossbow. That cool, or no?

Aren't they in a Walmart? o.O Where's he going to get a crossbow and machete?

All those items (and more!) can be found in the zombie killing aisle.

I know for a fact, that the Walmart near here, has firearms, in limited supply, they get them around deer season. Normally it's kids .22 rifles and shotguns, sometimes medium size rifles like a few steps up from a .22, the have muzzleloaders too, but they're loud as hell and take too long to reload, aaaaaaaand they have some COMPOUND bows. Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd again, in the camping section, they have cheap machetes and hatchets.

But, my dude already had them. He's a hick, so naturally he'd have these things xD

But, if that's not ok, I can settle for a small compound bow, a cheap machete, and a kids .22 rifle. All of them would work fine for dealing with zombies. Hel, a BB/Pellet gun can kill you if you're hit in the right place.

Edit: Also, Commie, if I remember correctly, most Colt replicas/remakes cost over or around $1.000, so if shes not a firearm enthusiast, she probably wouldn't have one. Probably more likely to have a cheap 9mm or a .45. They're easily had for under $200 up to $500 for a really good one. (a maker here in ohio, Hi-Point, has handguns, in both 9mm and .45 acp, for only $150)

<,< But ya know, I'm not like, really wanting to hoard guns in real life or nothing. >.>

Chase is going for the sports section- Baseball bats galore!- along with the tools section for the really fun stuff.

@Twisted: ._. Wicked. I haven't really paid Walmart's sections much mind since I don't go in there often but I guess some of them contain gun sections or, if anything, hunting gear.

True Commie, true. Here in Ohio, I live between two Walmarts (we do 80% our shopping there, since they're "Super Centers"), the one to the north ONLY has BB/Pellet guns, muzzleloaders (cause they're black powder loaded, not like actual rifles.) and bows. Where the one to the south, has all the above mentioned, plus shotguns and small caliber rifles.

Edit:... I forgot what I was going to edit in here... Meh, it'll hit me later.

Dibs on the shovel; cut, bash, dig/bury, etc.! Ace of Spades sounded like a cool enough nickname for a zombie apocalypse, but apparently Spade is a derogatory term. Never heard it used that way. Ever. So I'm pretty sure Urban Dictionary's trollin'.

Aaaaaanyway. SHOVEL TO THE FACE! :u

Lawn and garden has good zombie fighting things too. Like axes, rakes, hoes, shovels, and even machete looking things used for "garden work" believe they were made by Fiskars or Gerber, I can't remember. They have a short machete like blade, and a small point on the reverse side of the top that looks like a hook/point. Nice for digging into the head if need be.

Crowbars are nice, but they are HEAVY, especially the 3' long ones. I couldn't swing them easily.

I AM one of those weird people that walks through the store theorizing what item could save my ass in the Zombie Apocalypse. Then again, I am paranoid.

So, if firearms and such are outlawed in this role play, I'll just resort to what things I know walmarts normally have universally.

I have no idea what would be in a Walmart. Going off what I've heard, it seems that you can buy pretty much anything in a Walmart, including deadly weapons. What is it with Americans and always having to have guns so close at hand? It boggles my mind.

In all honesty, I can only imagine James wanting to work his way home to his own weaponry. Unable to resist the urge, I've wanted to use one of these swords. It's a custom-made sword, from a website that makes custom-made, fully functional blades. I'm sure it would be pride-of-place in James' home.

I'll stick with my home appliances. Chase is the comedic relief (and klutz) so I can't wait to write her trying to hit something with, say, a vacuum.

That's a beautiful sword.

As for the Americans and weapons thing. I don't know. I guess with all the hicks and haters, there's not much room for peaceful groups. I mean, gangsters and rednecks need firearms. xD

I have a .22 rifle, but I just use it to kill pests and have for home defense. I have a few bows, but I never really learned how to use them accurately. A lot more effort and skill goes into using a bow than a rifle. You have to have almost perfect form to shoot a bow accurately. 'Tis why lazy people opt for a crossbow. It's basically the sniper rifle of the bow world. Pull back the string, it locks into place, put in the bolt, pull the trigger, away it goes. Do have to be relatively strong to pull back the string. Some are like 150lbs draw, (though I'm not certain that actually equals pulling back 150lbs of weight, never used one, just a 50lbs compound.)

In my house we have several guns, all of which are very carefully licensed and monitored by the Australian government and a few compound bows which go entirely unnoticed by the government for some reason. I've got a recurve bow, which I much prefer. The beauty and simplicity of the wooden limbs~
At any rate, it's a weak bow and I'm not a very good shot. I haven't touched my bow in ages.

Crossbows are illegal in my state. Something stupid, along the lines of 'people might leave them loaded and then a kid will pull the trigger and it'll bounce up in his face'. If they ban crossbows over that, I don't know why they allow guns. My step-dad is hugely into hunting, so I reckon he'd be all over a crossbow if we could have them.

I think my bow is 30lb draw-strength? I'm not very strong at all, so I can't pull back anything that heavy. My step-dad's big-ass compound bow, which is covered in all sorts of gadgets and wot-zits is around 80 lb draw-strength. I can't even BEGIN to pull it back.

EDIT:
I forgot about this, but I'd like to renew my offer to you, Kitten.
Do you want a map of the town? Give me what you want on it, and I'll make it for you. Approximate size, main features, etc. I really love making maps and it would probably really help the RP out, as we'd be able to have firmly defined places and distances.
If you want, I could even do it in a certain style (Rough map made by survivors, probably splattered with blood, perhaps a proper 'town map' that's a bit roughed up, an entirely practical map with 'more matter, less art', as they say in Shakespeare).

What have i started in this thread??? But I like it!

I figured the first thing someone that was protecting someone would grab weapons, just so happens that my character is violent and protects his little sister at any cost, so i figured it would fit right in. I tried not to make him to strong, so i figured he wouldn't be too fast of a runner because he wouldn't have much practice.... He doesn't get well with others, so no sports for him. And i liked the idea of Kabujitsu.. I like Japan and find it super interesting.

And i'm assuming some people might not be in the walmart right away. Like me i figured i would write my first post with him going to the walmart for supplies. I mean it would be about a week since it happened, so locked up in his house for that time he would just about start to run out of food and have to go and get more for his sister, but not willing to leave her behind in fear of her getting hurt. I'm not sure on how many people Kitten had planned to already be in the walmart, since she said 70 people still alive in town and i know she has students following her... it might be a bit crowded..

I think I like the idea of this Walmart being our initial meeting spot. After braving the dangers outside their own homes, it seems that any in the town with a spot of sensibility has come to the only known local food source remaining.

Also gives us an opportunity to have 'prepared' stuff from home. People do not (usually) walk down the street with a gun or a sword, unless they expect to use it! I doubt we're in some sort of horrid crime-filled ghetto...

EDIT: For clarification, I meant 'initial meeting spot' as 'we arrive there' not 'we start there'.

@doom: i agree. I just like long first posts. And i figure that would be easy to do if we are all coming from home to the walmart... and if kitten wants that map, i think that would be helpful, for them
