Kira
[tab]Kira stood under the bleachers of her school at 6th period, making a deal with the drug dealer at her school. He gave her an insane price, and she narrowed her eyes at him. “The price raise twenty percent in the past day. Are you screwing with me?” She asked him, her voice firm and threatening. Everyone at their school knew not to screw with her. Bad things would happen if you did. He hastily lowered the price and she grinned, buying a packet of the magical white substance he was selling her. “Nice doing business with you.” With that she ran off again in a blur. She felt no need to go back to classes, so instead she decided to run the downtown of the city. Nothing really intrigued her; she needed no new clothing or money so she went hope. She learned over the years that the less attention you drew to yourself the better off you were.

[tab]When she got home her foster parents were waiting for her, a letting in their hands. A prissy looking lady stood behind them, a fake, cheesy smile on her face.

[tab]“What the hell is going on?” Kira demanded, her parents just shook their heads and passed her the bag that was against the wall.
“We cant afford to take care of you if you aren’t going to try anymore, Ki.” They told her softly, and they shook their heads sadly. “We can’t deal with the juvenile record you have set, or how much trouble you get into at school.” The lady stepped forward and put her hand on Kira’s shoulder. “We are sending you away to a boarding school. It will help you.” Kira shrugged off the lady’s hand and wanted to run off. She didn’t need another boarding school and she didn’t need her foster parents. But instead she went to the car that was in the drive way that the lady led her to. She sat in the back with her bags next to her. One small suitcase and one backpack. The car drove and drove for what seemed to be hours until it arrived to a old gothic looking castle in the middle of nowhere. The road they were driving on was a dirt path and had been like that for the past twenty to thirty miles.
“Welcome to PAA. Your bags will be taken to your room and you will attend an assembly in dining hall that will explain the expectations of you and the school.” They lady told her as they drove past the main gate that clanked closed behind them. Kira nodded, but wasn’t listening. She didn’t honestly care. She would go to the first meeting, figure out who she was going to be around then disappear into the shadows until this hell was over. She got out of the car and into the school. She ran to the dining hall, her bag over her shoulder to get away from the prissy lady. Her feet were fast and she got there within seconds.

[tab]She stood in the back and surveyed the room and the others in it. So, she wasn’t the only sad soul that was dragged here. Kira adjusted her dark aviator sunglasses and made sure her hood was pulled up as she stood in the back of the room. She tapped her hand against the side of her leg, her ADHD kicking in a bit. To calm her nerves, she lit a smoke and took a log drag from the back of the room.

[tab]The room was dark and had a long table in the center of it. Candles were lit on the table and the chandelier above it was brightly lit. Torches hug on the wall and had a warm glow coming from them. Suits of armor stood next to the doors at attention as if someone was actually inside them. The room reminded Kira of a middle ages museum she robbed once with Logan back in the good days. She wondered if the rest of the place was like this, but restrained from leaving the room.

Sad eyes looked through the tinted window of the all black car. Their green color muted by the glass. She said nothing through the whole car ride. It wasn't until they arrived at what was supposed to be her new school that she spoke. "Dont." she stated when the driver attempted to close the door right behind her. She forcefully held the door open, waiting for her three friends to exit before allowing it to be shut. The driver gave her a look of confusion, but was warned not to fight with any of the students.

Katrin Grunwald moved in the direction of the school, tugging on the arm of one Mikael Karae. "Come on, Mikael." she grumbled. "You promised you'd help me keep Markus in line, and you're causing more trouble than he is!" she had a point. The usually well-behaved twin was putting up quite a fight, not wanting to enter the school, while the usually more obnoxious, misbehaved one was already at the door, waiting. "FINEEE" he sighed, taking a few steps forward until the two of them were walking together, still holding hands. The couple arrived at the doors, and the group of four entered together.

They made their way to a large room, and found seats towards the back. Katrin smiled at Mikael. "So. This is it." she said with a smile. "Yeah, it is, isn't it." he commented. "This is such a waste of time." Markus interjected. The twins then began their usual bickering, at which point Katrin lost interest.

Naruhina attempted to escape the schools suffocating walls and small spaces.Being the social butterfly that she was today she had decided to hang out with the druggies, she usually didnt do drugs unless she wasnt taking her medicine and the terrible headaches came for her.She rolled up her joint as they joked around, laughing a little. As she took a long drag a very official looking man strode out of his car to her,

"Miss Naruhina Song your parents have requested that I take you to our Elite boarding school."he grunted in a deep manly voice.

Naruhina already as high as a kite followed him joking about him as if he were a rapist taking her away to his house and keeping her locked up like a dog.She giggled the whole way all her things already packed into small bags and suitcases but she was far away in another world. The man gave her directions to where the dining hall was,her head now free of the cocaine. She proudly strode down the hall and opened the door.

Naruhina entered The vast dining hall looking about the streaming sea of faces.'Why am i even here?' she wondered stepping further into what would ultimately be her doom. She stuck out like a sore thumb in her Blood red leather vest, striped blue tee, poofy blue skirt, big red bow, and red skinny jeans. She stood near the back of the room looking to the high ceilings with delicate chandeliers."My, what a large place,"she whispered in awe.She was shoved aside by a larger, darker boy.Her temper flared but she toned it down again, she had learned to control her temper long ago.

Kellan

What did you say to me you little s**t?! The only partially full whiskey bottle flew through the air, making a slight whistling sound. Luckily alcohol has a tendency to blur ones perception and aim, and the bottle struck the wall about two feet from Kellan Breaker's head. Still, the impact and the sound of shattering glass was enough to make him wince as his father's last words slipped from his mouth "You little shit.". Damn whatever god thought it funny to create Echolalia. He stood as tall as he could, which was about 3 inches taller than the drunken mess of a father on the other side of the kitchen. "I said I'm leaving, oh dear, gracious father. I have an opportunity to try again! An opportunity to do what..what Erika tried to do for me! I have a chance to get away from you! He hefted his backpack on his back and reefed open the door to behold a thin man in a dark suit, hand raised as if to knock on the door.

The man's expression was rather surprised, although if he was just getting ready to knock when the door flew open in his face you could hardly blame him. A car with darkly tinted windows stood idling at the end of the walkway, and the man quickly composed himself and gestured to the vehicle. Maren nodded, indicating that the man should go first, and he complied, hurrying to the car. Maren paused, picked up the duffel bag at his feet, then turned back to where his father was still cursing fit to embarrass a sailor. "Hey Dad! The man turned towards him, his drunken eyes trying to focus on his son. Thanks for the ink! He jeered, then walked out and slammed the door in the face of a whole new wave of insults and curses, and from the sounds of it another bottle. He shook his head in disgust, jogging out to where the man was holding the car door open for him.

About an hour or so later

A bump shook Kellan from the daze he'd fallen into, and he looked out to behold the castle-like school that he was supposed to be going to. He leaned back against the seat, rolling his neck to crack it a couple times before the car stopped. He opened the door and was out before the driver could come around to open it for him. Shouldering his pack, he walked into the dark hall and almost immediately found the dining hall, a small assortment of youths already inside. Choosing a spot that meant he wouldn't have to talk to people much meant he wouldn't be ridiculed just yet, so that was what he did. As far away as possible from everybody else was rather difficult though, so he settled with what he could do and sat down, crossing his arms and drumming his pale fingers on his heavily tattooed biceps.

Twenty two escape routes. Three, four, five exits in total. Option one, a distraction. A well aimed throw to the chain of the chandelier and it could provide this sufficiently enough. Option two, stick to the shadows and leave before anyone can notice. Option three, stay and find out what this is all about.

“Option three, it is,” Maia whispered under her breath, sliding through the crowd as gracefully as though she were performing a formal dance. Bright emerald eyes slid across the faces of the people, searching for those who had brought her here. They had appeared outside the motel room she had been using as a hideout. How they found her, she was curious to discover, but until then, she’d hear them out.

“Curiosity killed the cat burglar,” She joked to herself quietly, moving to a corner of the room. Her blonde ringlets brushed her cheeks, a few stray strands clinging to her light pink colored lips. She readjusted the pink and black plaid headband that matched her short skirt. Her hands, the fingernails painted a light pink, adjusted the black ear buds, whose cord fell into the pocket of her pink sweater, attached to an off iPod. Her black heels, which concealed the ends of her bright pink stockings clicked on the ground as she moved off into the corner. As she did, she ran right into the back of a random male. One ear bud fell as she stumbled back, blinking up at him.

“I’m sorry,” She said softly, replacing the ear bud back into her ear. “I wasn’t watching where I was going.” She turned to walk away, her head down as she inspected the leather wristband she had lifted from the male’s backpack. She blinked, placing the bracelet into her pocket, moving off into the corner, though she went against habit, straying from the shadows. She tried to keep in sight, her goal to be underestimated.

Just as he located a spot to sit, a small girl bumped into him, causing him to stumble forward slightly. Shaking his head to the mumbled apology, he walked away quickly before she could hear his repeated mumble. As he then sat and waited for whatever it was that they were waiting for to begin, he noticed, much to his chagrin, that the same girl had sat down only a few seats away from him, in a spot in the corner. He squirmed a little uncomfortably in his seat, hiding it by readjusting his leg posture. If she insisted on talking to him, he wouldn't be able to hide anything about his speech...

He turned his attention to the end of the hall, where a woman in an official-looking uniform was standing, giving some sort of speech welcoming them to the new school they were currently sitting in. He listened only as long as it took for her to explain where he was going to be sleeping, although with the uniformed men and women distributing schedules and maps of the castle to every student there wasn't really any point in listening to that anyway.

"Would you please put that out.....miss?" A lady told Kira as she walked into the room and too the table. She couldn’t tell if Kira was a guy or girl because of the hoody that was wrapped around and the dark glasses that shielded her green eyes. Kira liked to keep people guessing, it was fun to see them try to figure out who she was. But no one knew who she was, not after Logan at least.
Looking around the room, Kira saw mainly girls and the one lone guy. Interesting bunch of kids. Kira rolled her eyes and took another drag from the stick of death she held in her hands. There were too many girls in this room for her taste. She would much rather be in a room of guys.
"I said, please put that out." The lady's voice became more firm and Kira narrowed her eyes at her. She dropped the small stick to the ground and put it out under the heal of her shoe. A sweet, perky smile filled the lady's face and she beckoned the kids to come sit at the table with her.
A thick manila envelope hit the table with a soft thud and a few papers scattering out. Kira walked over and glanced at one of the papers that skidded out. It was a picture of her and Logan, taken from a few years back, capturing them leaving a department store. Kira watched as other folders were put in front of the other kids, some almost as thick as hers was.
"Please, come sit kids." the lady chirped to them, a wide grin on her face. Kira slowly took a seat across from the guy, on leg tucked under her. Kids? She wasn’t a kid. She hadn't felt like a kid for over four years now.
Kira started to flip through the folder. Pictures of her and Logan littered the pages. Along with pictures from the many funerals she had to go to, and her as a child. Was that girl in the yellow dress really her? That girl with the red hair and the wide smile? No. That girl wasn't her any more. That girl died with her father.
She flipped through a few more pages, her hands twitching slightly, as usual. She came across a school report that she wrote for Logan. how did they get this? He had gotten an A for this paper that he never wrote. What was going on here? This was...insanity. How did they have so much info on her, most of it with Logan.
"Welcome to PAA. As you look through these folders you will see who you once were, the fault you were. Here, you can fix yourself. Here, you will become perfect." The lady started speaking and kira looked up. What? what was she talking about? Perfection? That was slightly overated. “Every one of you has the chance to be something more than what you are.” The lady looked at the one girl who seemed to be talking to herself.
There were just enough seats for everyone to have one, kira noticed. She looked back down at her folder. This was all so weird, even for her. Information and pictures of her and Logan? Pictures of her as a little girl? The programs from funerals of her parents and Logan? This had to be hard or nearly impossible to get.

Katrin looked away from the boys just to see a woman gesturing for everyone to gather around a table. She walked over, then went to sit, before noticing that there weren't nearly enough seats. "Excuse me, we need three more chairs." she stated. "I'm sorry?" the woman looked up at her, then smiled. "Ah, Katrin Grunwald. No, I'm sorry. You're wrong. There are plenty enough chairs. Mikael, Markus, and Myrissa are not real." at the woman's words, Katrin's face fell.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?" she screamed. "YOU ARE WRONG. THEY ARE REAL!! THEY'RE RIGHT HERE!!!" she gestured to her right, where the three were standing. She looked at them, then back to the woman.

Maia leaned back in her seat beside the male she had stolen the bracelet from, her green gaze trailing across to each of those at the table in turn. An uptight lady, a classic thug, a girl who seemed to be trying to hard, a schizo, and a reserved boy. She could take all of them easily enough, she guessed, if the situation called for it.
"I don't know about the rest of the people here, but I'm already perfect," Maia joked with a forced giggle, her gaze sliding to the male beside her.
When the lady placed the folders down, Maia casually reached out to skim through her own. She froze as her eyes read the first words on the page. Her name. They knew her real name. They had a list of all the places she had stayed. They had a list of all the things she had stolen, of all the places she had stolen them from. They had a list of all of her mother's boyfriends. They had photographs of her as a child, of her with all of her foster parents. They had still shots of her in front of banks and inside museums, about to steal her precious things. They had a photograph of nearly all the places she used as hideouts for her things. Instantly, she slammed down the folder, sending paper and photographs flying.
"How do you know any of this?" Maia asked in rage, enunciating each word harshly. She stood up suddenly, her chair falling back onto the floor loudly. She slammed her hands down on the table and repeated the question with a yell. No one could know these things. No one.
"How do you know?" She screamed at the woman before she finally snapped and launched herself across the table to tackle the lady.

Maren looked down at the folder, noticing with some amusement that it was the smallest one of all the folders that had been thrown down in front of them. Picking it up, he looked around at the other people, looks of shock, surprise, and in some cases dismay spreading across their faces. Smirking, he flipped open the folder, and immediately choked on his next breath. A picture of Erika, one of the ones from when she spent a brief period as a model, stared back up at him. Her bright blue eyes, one of which she shared with him (He had different-coloured eyes) looked at him, and it was as if she was sitting on the table looking at him. He flipped to the next document, and then the next, continuing down into the folder, revealing his entire life in paper format. His father's prison documents, his release papers, his mother's death warrant, records of places Erika and he had lived in, his school papers, receipts from the tattoo parlors, etc. Anything that could define who Maren was was in there.

He flipped back to the first picture of Erika, one of many that he had now unearthed, taking a last look at it before closing the folder. Suddenly a loud, shrill voice rang out into the air, and Maren jumped even as the girl's last words slipped through his lips. He looked up as the girl slammed her folder and her hands on the table and screamed her question again, and suddenly she was moving fast over the table, and Maren could tell that blood was in her eyes. Quicker than he knew he could, he was up and his arm was snaking around her waist, dragging her back and into his lap, where he tried to restrain her as she tried to finish her attack. "It's not worth it!" He growled through gritted teeth. As she started to calm down a bit, he leaned forward slightly and whispered, "Not yet." He turned to the side, setting her in his chair as he stood up, and glared at the woman. "Well, now that our time has almost ended before it's begun, tell us the truth. Why are we here?"

Nox looked out the window of the car as it drove to some unfamiliar place. His thoughts went back to his sister and he sighed. A screw up, that was all he was. It was his own fault that he wouldnt be able to see his sister again. Or even talk to her. If he just kept his emotions under control, and listened to what his parents said, he might be able to. But now he was labeled as a killer and a freak by his own father.

He punched the side of car and let tears streak his face. The driver turned back to him and glared. "Sorry." Nox muttered softly, his eyes down. Salty tears ran down his face and he forced himself to wipe them away. Maybe this wouldn’t be as bad as he thought it would.

Maybe his mom wasn’t actually dead. Maybe his dad didn’t think of him as a freak. Maybe he wasn’t dyslexic.

The car groaned to a stop, and he got out quickly. The driver told him to go to the dining room to meet everyone else. He nodded once roughly and walked into the building.

After a couple minutes of hiding in the shadows of the room, he took a seat at the table and looked over the folder. Pictures of his sister were on the pages. Along with his awful school records. and a picture of his first girlfriend. That picture brought a smile to his face. it was of her and his sister. Memories of the two of them came to mind and his smile widened.

His sister looked so innocent. So happy in these pictures. Her curly blond hair flowing around her perfectly in the wind. Her bright blue eyes sparkling with happiness. A wide smile as she looked into the camera. This picture was taken years ago, but Nox remembered the day as if it was yesterday.

His thoughts and memories were interrupted by a spazzing girl and jumped slightly. he closed the folder and looked at everyone in the room. He knew that most of this information probably wasn’t that hard to get if they had the right resources, but said nothing. Instead he just watched everyone else. Some girl was screaming about how her 'friends' were real, another was about to attack the lady, and a guy was holding her back. Well this was just wonderful.

--
Kira kept flipping through her folder and sighed, snapping it shut. "How did you get this?" She demanded, glaring.

The lady looked at her and the other guy and sighed. "All will come clear in time, kids. But what you need to know now is that you are here for a reason. You are special. Gifted even. You are strong, smart and fast.”

That you for stating the obvious,” Kira mumbled under her breath and watched the girl. So what, she was ‘special’. That didn’t mean she wanted to be here.

“You were created to be perfect. We’ve had a few…bugs in the plan to make that happen. You all have a problem.” The lady continued, and Kira rolled her eyes. She seriously wanted to punch this women and leave. That’s usually what she did in these types of situations. Just another person trying to help her with her ‘problem’. She didn’t have a problem. “You were brought here to fix you. To fix your problems. To make you perfect.”

"Nothing is perfect lady. And I do not wish to be ‘perfect’. Perfect for you probably means taking away our individuality and turning us into the perfect kids. I am not into that shit. So, thanks, but no thanks. I’m out of here. " Kira stood up quickly and went to the door.

“Not perfect kids, but perfect warriors.” Kira stopped walking at that. What? Kira turned and looked at her. What the hell was she talking about? Warriors?

Katrin looked around. Apparently everyone was just as upset as she. With one exception: she had yet to open the envelope. Judging by the other people's reactions, she decided she really didn't want to. She already knew what she would find. They knew everything. They would know about everyone. They would know about Ashton. They would know about everything she ever went through. They might want her to relive that, but she had no intention to.

After a moment, she turned to face Mikael. "Somehow, i think this is going to end badly." she said, leaning against him. "Somehow, i think you're right." he responded, holding her. He then moved her to the chair, and sat her down, standing just behind her. Markus and Myrissa were off somewhere, Katrin didn't want to know where.

"Don't worry. You've still got me." Mikael smiled, his hands on her shoulder. She nodded, not saying anything more. She knew he was right, and wasn't going to fight.

---

A car pulled up to the small brick house, and Max was the first to notice. "MOMMA!! SOMEONE'S HERE!!" he called, running to the door. He stood right at the door, standing on his toes in an attempt to see who it was. His mother came over, and opened the door, letting the woman enter. Max took one look at the woman, and spun around to hide behind his mother. She took him by the arm, and pulled him out from behind her."Max, dearie, settle down. This is a doctor. You're going to go with her for a while. Don't worry. They will take good care of you." she told him, before gesturing for him to follow the woman. Max's eyes were wide with fright, but he did as his mother told him. He always did what she told him to, so long as it wasn't harmful or wrong in any way.

A few hours later, Max arrived at the Academy. He got out of the car, not waiting for the woman to reach the door. He didn't want to be around her. He was scared of her. He went into the building, and somehow found himself in the same room as all of the others. He took one look around, and noticed that he was one of the few guys there, that the majority of people there were girls. Noticing this, Max had a small panic attack, wanting to run off and hide in the corner as soon as he arrived. And that was exactly what he did.

Maia's petite body shook in the boy's grasp, trying and failing to calm herself. She took a deep breath and slowly relaxed into the boys lap, not bothering to move. Her eyes held the woman's gaze, shooting daggers, eager to hurt her. Sure, these papers would be easy to acquire for anyone. But, she wasn't anyone. She was no one and she had tried hard to keep it that way. She felt as if all her aliases had died.
Nails dug deep into her knees as she tried to concentrate on the woman's words.
A warrior? Her? She wasn't a warrior. She dealed in stealth, not in fightingg.
"Are you a kook, lady? Have you seen the people in your company? We're obviously not warriors..." Maia growled, glancing to the boy who had restrained her. She gave him a nod of appreciation, the best she could manage for gratitude.

Maren looked around at all the protests around him, nodding in agreement to each one of them. They weren't perfect, that much she was right about. But warriors? That was pushing it a little too far in his opinion. They were KIDS for chrissakes! He scoffed, "Warriors? Maybe you haven't noticed, but we're not exactly warrior material! We're kids! Sure some of us can probably hold our own in a fist fight, but come on!" He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Sitting down, he shook his head, folding his arms and sighing loudly.
