GM Post; *CLACK-CLACK-CLACK-CLACK* The sound of her red heels sounded through the halls as she hurried to the main chamber. She check the papers in her hands, checked, and rechecked. Everything was in order and the time was here finally. If this all went well everyone in the company would soon become very wealthy. The first to create a fully functional, world-wide, virtual reality. She grinned. This was going to make them all famous. She came up to a large door and moved to knock but before she could tap the door he came through the door. His only words being "You're early." As his assistaint she was used to these odd moments of him seeming to know everyone's actions before they happened. She walked with him into the testing room and when straight to her station at the main computer. As she typed, logging him in, setting up the health moniters, powering up the microphones, the goggles, everything. "Whenever you're ready sir." she said into the speaker that led into the test room. Her nodded and settled in and with that, the games began. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Everyone is to be logging into the game chat at their own home computers. OOC |

Jack sat at his desk leaning back in a chair that easily cost much as most people's monthly pay check with a cup a cup of coffee that rivaled most people's daily wages. The laptop left open in front of him was flashing screens, messages, statistics, and a few expected warning with other computers and programmers fixing the problems fast as the computer could find them. He had spent the last 24 hours doing nothing but staring at the screen and working. And now that his assistant had finally arrived he had the chance to close his eyes and relax as she logged him on. A deep sigh and a few gulps from the over priced drink later he was reaching out for the game's interface system. It didn't look like much more than a rather expensive and shiny pair of shades yet it would block out all other sights, smells, noise, and even feelings of touch then replace them with that of the character in the game. The exact sensitivity and sync ratios could be adjusted to preference of course as long as it was in line with the safeties in place to prevent to much feeling to pass by. In short, it would let you see, smell, hear, and touch in game but would reduce the feeling of pain to that of a mild bruise no matter how sever. Just enough to let you know it was there but not enough to have horrible real world repercussions. "Ms. Dellecor, I'm going into the game. I'll have the settings on high, so if you need me contact me via mail in the game. I trust you can do this." No need in waiting for a response, his assistance was top notch and could run the show by herself for a few days if need be. One more deep breath and he put the glasses on and leaned back letting his mind fall into the game world. When he opened his eyes he was sitting in one of many chairs surrounding a round table. One chair per person expected to show up. The world around the table and chairs was vibrant and beautiful, one could have called it a piece of art that would fool any. The floor was a beautiful bright mahogany wood that looked well kept with large rugs with exotic designs layered about in seeming strategic locations. The walls were brilliant stone work with tapestries, art work, and varies sculptures decorating them further. The ceiling was high with hole near the top to let air circulate helping the building to stay cool. It was a beautiful clan hall and doubled as a meeting place when just logging in. Yet more than that was the feeling and rush his body had once again. Young, vibrant, full of strength. No more pain from his old joints, no more flare ups from old wounds, and he could feel his leg again. Not fake impulses from some bionic implant, but his own flesh and blood. He could once again feel the muscles pull and give, could feel the leg of his pants brush his skin, could feel the tightness of his shoe, feel the ground beneath his foot, he could even feel the movement of his toes. He couldn't help but to chuckle from the sensation he had for so long missed and the shear thrill of that alone would hold his attention with exuberance and joy until the other beta testers logged in. |

Not one to waste any time, Christopher had been waiting until the exact moment when everyone was supposed to show up before dropping into the virtual world. The instructions seemed simple enough. He was to create a completely unique character, adjust the settings to how he liked them, go somewhere he could relax and be logged in, and slip on the glasses. It sounded like a simple process. His character and setting had already been modified to his liking. The entire house was a sanctuary for him. All that was left was to log in and slide on the new shades. The glasses themselves intrigued Christopher. He heard so much about them. It almost seemed unreal. He truly hopped they worked like he heard they did. A place where he could interact with others without actually having to leave? Perfect. He was very tempted to put them on early. He wanted to find out if they did work. Two things stopped him. One was the fact that he wasn't aware of what awaited him, and he didn't want to get lost without some form of guide. And the second thing was his own morals. It just didn't sit right with him, so he was patient and waited for the time to meet up with everyone. Finally! It was time. The shades went on and a very excited Christopher laid on the nearby couch. It almost felt like falling asleep. His senses faded away quite slowly; however, new senses started flooding through him. No longer was he in his home, on the couch, but rather an ornately decorated hall that put everything he had ever seen in shame. The round table made him snicker. Perhaps an obvious tribute to King Arthur? No matter, it was a thrill that the glasses had most obviously done their job. A glance around told him that not many others had shown yet. Though, that was to be expected. The only other person he saw was a man that appeared to be a, very satisfied, dark elf of some sort. This must be the one running the show. Christopher made sure he was 100% on time, and this man was the only one to beat him here. "Hello, sir. MoonSlayer64 here and accounted for," he offered with a grin. |

Laetitia sighed as she sat in her desk chair. She had her feet on her desk, leaning back dangerously far. She looked up at the clock, sighed then looked back at the screen. She watched the stock points as they moved across the screen. She did the math in her head, guessed the next amount then watrched. Right again. She shook her head. At least this meant she wasn't going to loose anything anytime soon or at least not by the stocks. Her mother however had just taken 90% of the money she'd just made by working with a computer company in Tokyo on their new system's bugs. Tia heard her brother waking up and smiled. She watched him head passed her door towards the bathroom so she snuck down to the kitchen. She made them both some tea and got him some cereal and took it too his room "Momma said she's working late tonight. She's off tomorrow and considering how much she took with her this time I don't expecter her home at all until then." She said shrugging. She then set up both thier laptops in his room and took her place on the back, sitting with her back to the wall. They had made their characters and found the settings already so she picked up the shades and grinned. "Anyway. See you on the otherside." she said logging in and slipping into the game. As she looked around and ook in her surroundings it seemed odd how well the VR worked. It truly all felt real. This was deffenitly something to take note of later. She looked over the others present taking them in. Her eyes cold as she nodded to them. "Angel of Despair." she stated bluntly before returning her attention to the surroundings. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sheena dashed down the street full speed. The sirens had died down hours ago but she would take no chances. She made the sharpe corner into a dark side ally. She pulled out her key and opened and old wooden door partially green from mold. She locked it tight behind her then sighed relaxing. She glanced up at the clock. 7:30 "Shit..." she muttered to herself. She was late. She ran into the twin's room and woke the up. "Hey I'm back. I've got a load for you guys to invintory for me today. I'd do it but I have that tester gig to start in a few minutes ok? I'd really appreciate it if you ould please try to watch the girls today. I'll only keep one ear on, the other can be muted but please try?" they nodded in agreeance and Sheena smiled, hugged them both then dashed off. She ran in booting up the old computer in her room. It would take a bit to warm up so she decided to jump in the shower. Hair dripping she jumped into some loose clothes and sprinted on toes back to her room grabbing a cup of coffee on her way through the house. She down it as she logged in. She slipped on the glasses and rushed through making her character. She made sure to go into the settings, muting her left ear before she fell into the new world of dreams. She sighed, it looked like she was on time. There were still a few people not here yet. She took a moment to settle herself in before introducing herself. "Serpant Princess presant" she said smiling gently. |

Liliana Hearn Lily spent much of her day playing games, the way she played most games though made it seem like it wasn't fun. See she doesn't play the games to beat them, nor to have fun, she plays games to break and exploit everything she can, then tell programmers what she did and how they might be able to fix this. Often she's asked to test single player games, or sometimes multiplayer components, but this is the first time she's gotten an invite to test an mmo. She didn't actually get invited to test this mmo, she was told about it and someone else sent in a request. About a week ago she got a letter with instructions, and the instructions told her to sign on today at eight. So she opened the box that came a few days ago then started the install while she looked at the rest of the things. She looked over the glasses, gave them a few flicks before saying, "How is this supposed to work?" Grabbing the instruction booklet she started reading through it. Once the computer gave a beep that everything was installed she laid back, then put on the glasses and felt herself fade, or perhaps fall. Everything got dark and she started setting up her character, essentially making herself but slightly different. Once she pressed okay she found herself standing in a large expensive looking room with a round table. She counted the chairs, took note of the people, then immediately set about moving around the room. She moved paintings, pushed against some of the sculptures, knocked on the wall. Unlike the others that were signing in she didn't bother giving her name, primarily because she wasn't used to giving her name in the games she tests as they already know her name, then again as stated she's never tested a game like this before. ________________ Reia Va'Les Reia laid on her bed, her covers thrown off the bed and her pajamas crumpled and rising in such a way as to suggest she had been tossing and turning all night. She had been released from psychiatric care and was 'adopted' by a rather nice young police officer, Tera. The woman was one of the ones that found her so she knew what the girl had done, eg killed her entire immediate family, so obviously she knew the dangers of keeping the child. However beyond bad dreams everything been quite good, assuming that you don't yell at her or move to strike her. When in psychiatric care Reia was allowed to play video games and access the internet for the first time in her life, the selection of games she's aloud to play is fairly limited obviously. However this was still quite big for the girl and she's became quite attached to both. One day she was surfing around the internet when she came across an offer to test a game, after clicking on it and having Tera fill out the information she waited and was eventually accepted. Everything had already been installed and set up but Tera kept the glasses from Reia to prevent the girl from signing on before the date. Entering the room Tera sighed and picked up the covers from the floor then sat on the bed and lifted the sleeping child up and started stroking her hair. "Reia, time to wake up." She softly called, smiling as the girl gave a whine and attempted to roll over and bury her face in Teras arms. "Now don't be like that you wanted me to wake you up at eight." There was another whine as Reia attempted to wriggle free and lay back down. "Alright, I guess I will just go and put these back up on my dresser." As she moved to get up Reia whined and clung to Tera. Slowly Reia opened her eyes and looked at the clock, "Its only seven forty." She whined. "And I'm not going to let you log onto the game without breakfast. If I do I won't be able to get you off until dinner where you will be complaining about missing lunch." Tera stated as she lifted Reia up and carried the girl out of the room. Once in the kitchen Reia was put down where she stood there swaying some before moving and sitting on a chair and watching as a bowl of cereal was laid in front of her. Once the cereal was eaten the girl was at least more awake then previously so she got up and went to the game room and sat on a beanbag chair, watching as Tera sat next to her and handed her the glasses. "If you need anything I will be right here." She stated as Reia put the glasses on. Everything dulled and Reia opened her eyes to find herself in a large rich looking room surrounded by people, she did a quick spin and giggled as everything felt so realistic. She clapped her hands and giggled again before hearing someone say their username. "I'm Flandre." She stated not really to anyone as she was currently climbing onto the table inorder to not be so short compared to everyone else. |

Mercy began her daily routine of waking up around five, grabbing breakfast, getting cleaned up and running errands for her neighbor. Her alarm clock went off, causing her to jump out of her nightmare. She sighed, aggrivated and threw her clock across the room. She got up, got some cereal, the proceeded to eat it quickly. After breakfast, she showered, brushed her shortish red hair and got dreesed in jeans, a t-shirt and her vans. Mercy then went to check on her neighbor, Miss Barbosa, to see if she needed anything. The woman was seventy three and could barely get around, so Mercy, being Mercy, offered to help her whenever she could. The little old lady wanted her to run to the store to get a few groceries. She got the groceries, went back to Miss Barbosa's house and put them away for her, then left. By the time she returned to her house it was five til eight. "Well, i suppose i better log in..." She said to herself as she sat in front of her computer, turning it on and waiting for the screen to pop up. After finding the server, she logged on. The area she was ported to in the game had a round table in the center of the room. The room itslef was beautiful, and she smiled slightly. She walked over to the table to join the others that were here before her. She nodded to everyone, and said "Merciful_Hate." She had a feeling this game would be something worth while. Or something incredibly insane. |

Quincey sighed, packing up her bag. It was the end of the day, and she was more than ready to head back to her dorm for the night. She brushed her black hair from her eyes once again, and headed towards her dorm. She got there a few minutes later, and collapsed on her bed. She laid there for a few minutes before remembering something. She was supposed to log on to that new game. Glancing at the clock, she half jumped off her bed, and grabbed her laptop. She typed quickly, and was soon logged in. The next step was creating a character, and that was where Quincey decided to have some fun. Deciding that she wasn't going to be her usual self, she created a male character. One who was good at everything, but a master of nothing. Quinton was in a larger room, a room filled with many characters. He looked around, and, seeing nothing excessively interesting, he sat down at the table. --- Cris woke up earlier than usual that day, and was soon bored. She didn't really have anything to do, so she sat around. She played around on different online games, trying to find something to fill the time. She checked in on her classes, then played guitar for a while. That was basically her entire day until 8 rolled around. As soon as the clock struck 8, Cris was logging on. She was excited to get around to doing something new and, she hoped, exciting. She created her character quickly, yet purposefully. Anariel arrived in a room just like everyone else seemed to. She pointedly ignored everyone, not really sure what to say, and settled herself to playing her lyre quietly in the corner. Edited by Dream, October 7, 2011, 9:16 pm.

Des sighed slightly staggering back from the restroom catching the sight of his little sis running into his room. Today they had that game to play so she most likely brought breakfast up. As it turned out he was right, off brand honey nut cheerios with milk. The milk was a bit rare, normally they had to deal with it being dry or worse, in water. But it was best to leave that thought alone this earlier in the morning or afternoon or when ever. "Mornin' sis." A few minutes later he had sat down in his computer chair scarfed his food and started to craft his character. Looking over to see how his sister was coming he found she was already in the game, not really surprising. He put the head gear on and leaned back a bit letting himself drift into the game. Or to be more precise get pulled into as his senses left reality. Morning Star opened his eyes in what looked like a grand highly polished hall surrounded by a group of other players. Only two really stuck out though, the first being the dark elf sitting at the round table with a few others and the chick with boobs the size of mountains. Why did he get the feeling that was his sister? Oh wait, it was because she was the only one interested with moving the pictures to make sure it was possible. A quick sigh and he looked up to introduce himself, "Morning Star. I would have gone with Lucifer but it was already taken." |

Rick stared in mild disbelief as he opened the box. The interface was...some sort of headset? He had to admit, this was the most bizarre gameplay apparatus he'd ever seen. How did it even work? How COULD it work? Digging further through the package, he produced the rather hefty user's manual. After reading over the first few pages, he got to work hooking it up. His parents were gone for the weekend, so he had plenty of time to himself. Unsure of what to expect, he turned on the strange device, sat down in a comfortable chair, closed his eyes, and slipped the apparatus over his head...and was greeted by a beautiful character creation interface. To be honest, he wasn't quite sure how the interface worked, but after a bit of experimenting, found it to be quite intuitive. Was this machine really responding to his thoughts? Regardless, it was likely this feature which allowed him to create a favorite character in his roleplays... Feeling a sudden change in environment, he, or rather she, opened her eyes. She stood still for an unknown period of time, taking in the new sights and smells through her new feline senses. Now in complete disbelief, she looked over at her muscular arms, marveling at her ability to move each clawed digit. What manner of computer could manage such detail? She pondered for a moment just how much detail there was, or even could be, before taking note of her surroundings. Several people of varying species sat around a large table. Quickly taking a seat for herself, she spoke, "S-sorry about that." Evaine was once again surprised by her now (relatively) feminine voice. A thousand possible explanations ran through her head as to how this was possible, before she finally dismissed the matter, now more concerned by her roleplaying quality. He was no longer Richter Walcher. He was Evaine Khyber, in the virtual flesh. |

"Wise Man. Pleased to meet you all." Jack smiled as he stood up and gave a light head bow to the room moving his can beneath his arm, "As I'm sure your all well aware now the virtual interface turns your mind into the controller. And unlike other systems that have touched on this possibility 'Letter's to Hell' has perfected. You will be able to smell, touch, taste, feel, and hear just as you would in the real world. The only sensation that has been nerfed is that of pain. All of the sensations sync ratios can also be adjusted in your drop down options menu, which you may access by simple wishing for it appear or by clicking options on the games starting page were you sign in." "Along with these options you'll find settings on what information is to be displayed, like your HP, MP, names, mini-maps, party members, target's name, and target's information when possible just to name a few. That all said, I'll be your clan leader and GM while beta testing is still in progress. If you have questions people now is the time to ask. I'll give you all a few minutes to adjust your settings and ask questions before moving us on to the actual game testing and main task of our clan. And before you ask what that is, we'll be one of the few groups to focus on the main story of the game." With that Jack took a deep breath which in hind sight felt rather nice since the last time he had been able to do that was twenty some years ago. But now wasn't the time to think back but to wait and watch how his players reacted. The little speech was meant to answer most basic questions and introduce him as the top dog to look up to if a dispute or bug popped up. |

Merciful_Hate looked around at the new arrivals, judging by how quickly everyone had arrived, the game would soon be underway. She turned her attention to Wiseman, listening to his little speech about the different settings, she quickly set hers to her prefrences and sighed. He had also said to ask any questions, but she wasnt sure if the one she wanted to ask would be stupid. ' Well, might as well get it out of the way.' She thought miserably. She hesitated at first, but got her nerve back after a minute. She sat up straight and asked, "This may sound stupid, sir, and I assume this is going to be one hell of an experience, but I was wondering..." She stopped herself, for she had forgotten her question. Now she looked rather idiotic, and felt it also. " Hm, I seem to have forgotten what I wanted to ask, I apologize, sir. Forgive my absent mindedness." She said, bowing her head. ' Note to self, improve memory.' She thought, sarcastically. |

Kyra struggled with the key to her apartment, finally pushing the door open on the third try. Dumping her heavy book bag off near her computer desk, she dropped down on her couch, and pulled a blanket over her legs. Why did I have to sign up for early morning classes? she groaned inwardly. Glancing around the room, Kyra's eyes fell upon a small, open box with an odd-looking headset sitting on top. "Oh no, oh no! What time is it?" She muttered aloud, looking frantically around for a clock. The time was 8:02. Kyra jumped up, ran over to her book bag, grabbed her laptop and the headset, and rushed to her room, slipping the headset on over her head as she went. Once she was settled down, Kyra logged on and opened the program that was already installed on her computer. She arrived in an ornately decorated room, where she was to be known as Anya. Quickly sliding into an empty seat, she was just in time to hear the GM, a man called Wise Man, introduce himself and deliver the introductory speech. Glancing around the table, she saw several other players listening attentively as Wise Man talked. This is amazing, she thought. I actually feel as if I'm Anya. This is truly amazing technology. Laetitia smirked a bit at her brother as he looked her over. She winked once which she knew would bring the glare. She just chuckled. As she turned back towards the man who introduced himself as Wiseman. Then, just as she was qabout to speak another girl spoke up. She seemed to be their preistess. And she ask - 'She forgot....really?' Tia shook her head. She simply hoped not all of the otherse were as hoplessly mindless. Angel then she sighed and spoke up, rising to her feet as she spoke. "Simply put, being that this system takes the nervical shocks for our minds to cause the movements in the gam, will we be moving in real life as well?" She asked trying to move the conversation past the Merciful's blundering. Her eyes never left his as she said her question. Not a form of challenge or arogance but simple observations. His reactions, his responses, she noted everything. Even how with every movement his avatar made he seemed a bit dreamy, as if his mind was far away from this, drifting into a differant place, perhaps even a differant time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sheena listened carefully to the man's intructions. She attempted a few times to bring up the menu with her mind. A couple attempts later and the vision of a list of options appeared before her. She closed and reopened the menu several times until she was certain she could do this on a whim. With her sisters she knew with out na doubt that this would happened quite often. Just as the though ran her mind She heard Bianca screaming at the top of her lungs at Ollie, Lynn was trying to handle it, very loudly. Sheena was also almost certain that it could be heard over the game's mic. She sighed biting her lips her eyes closed. A bit of embarressment coming over her. She shook her head and pulled open the Mic options. After a few moments she had it adjust so it would only pic up sounds that were either blarring loud or right in the mic. She nodded to the company apologeticly letting them move on. |

MoonSlayer64 This was definitely going to be fun. Christopher had easily brought up the menu. It was always a good thing to read the manual with anything before beginning, and with the elf starting things off, it seemed as if everyone was finally around. Good. That meant the game was starting soon. Everything seemed in order. Nothing that really needed to be asked on his part. Angel of Despair had a good question though. Christopher didn't recall reading about that. However, that would seem to be a rather large technical mistake to overlook, so he figured it wasn't so. Serpent Princess and Merciful_Hate both seemed to be having some issues. He thought about offering his aid should they need it, but then he realized that that would be disastrous if Chris or Mikey was in control. He just sighed and shook his head. It was terrible how he had to live his life in accordance with them. However, there wasn't anything he could do about it. He did figure that he would get an idea as to what they were going to be running into would be a good start, though. "Other than wondering if we will only be known as our usernames, I have one question. You mentioned us focusing on the game's main story. What exactly does that entail?" |

Evaine waits until everybody else had spoken before continuing with her question. True, none had been answered yet, but this type of round-based speech should speed up the conversation. "How much will this..." She paused. She was Evaine, so she ought to SPEAK like Evaine. "Two questions. First, how much'll this cost to play once beta's over? Second, are we allowed to have more than one character?" Nodding to herself with satisfaction, she brushed some of her long hair in front of herself, marveling at it. Was every strand really individually animated? How could any server take such a load for more than a handful of people? Was it simply displayed on his/her own end? Seeking an answer, she began to claw gently at the chair she sat on. |

Everyone seemed to have arrived so the one who called them all here told them everything that will happen, and mentioned that they will focus on the main story. Lily, or rather Xanadu, was already in the options activating and deactivating every option and tweaking everything, not for personal taste but to see what the creators decided was important enough to allow the players to change. Once she finished screwing with all of the options she changed everything to personal taste before saying, "I have a question. Will we be able to explore and break the games systems in-between the story? After all this is generally what you want testers to do on a beta." ________________ Flandre had climbed onto the table and was standing on it giggling and having her hands on her hips while she stood proud in that she was probably just about the tallest person here…right until she gets down from the table. Questions were being asked and one of them told what they would be doing, however Flandre wasn't really listening to any of this. [[Sorry for the crap Reia post, thats Kravs character]] |

Des sighed as Morning Star giving his sister a halve hearted glare. Why did she always have to pick such slutty avatars? Games had moved on from the days of female characters being nothing but pin up models. What was worse was her age, if they started to get any odd phone calls out of this he was going to have to change the phone numbers... again, due in thanks to his mother. Another sigh and his head was back in the game listening to the man in game before playing the in game options a bit. From what he could tell you could make it seem like another MMORPG with all the trimmings, or you could hide everything so it all looked like real life or a messed up dream. Which in all honesty was cool as hell. He also watched a few of the other character that seemed to stand out a bit like his sister in the weird actions case, one was a.... anthropomorphic tigress lady playing with her hair and another was a girl climbing up on to the table. Had he more computer sense he would have awed at the fact they could do that do that so freely with out putting any stress on the game's display. And when it came to questions he honestly didn't have any, or any he had were asked already so it was just best to wait for the GM to start answering after everyone was done talking and playing with options. |

A few minutes had passed as people played with settings and ask questions. Of the people Jack looked over Merciful_Hate caught his attenuation first and he couldn't hold back a rather disgruntled glare. The girl had some how managed to forget her question while asking it, he would have to talk to his secretary about this later and see why she was placed in his group. A deep breath latter he let the urge to smack her with his cane go and moved his eyes to the scantily clad big breasted knight instead and mulled over her question a bit before answering, "There remains a small possibly of this happening, 1/10000 from what are studies show. The chances may drop to 1/8000 if you experience a truly great desire to move. That said, if you wish to move your body out side of the game as well the system can and will register that. So you shouldn't ever have a problem like this but will still be able to walk around your room and take off the glasses as you when you see fit." From there his eyes trailed over to the young man that had spoke up and asked about the story itself, not a bad question but it would require a longer answer and probably raise more than it really answered but that was why it needed to be, "For all extents and purposes in game, yes you will be. You may swap personal information and use your real names freely between yourselves but the company wont be responsible for any repercussions of said information. If we need to contact you as a player though we'll use your account name, email, and mailing address as needed. As for the main story, its just as the tin says. Our focus as a group will be the main story campaign and its many choices, twist, and turns. Depending on the choices made by you we may have to try and kill you later to progress or die trying. These sort of events will be rare with warnings given, but will be one time only trials. You fail, your character dies and you must create a new character or switch to a back up but if you succeed it means great rewards and playing a hand in the very shaping of the game's world. In this game your personal choices can, and will, change the game as a whole not just for yourself but for everyone else as well. If only in a small way. That is unless you go on to do something bold or rare if not near impossible. I'm not at liberty to explain how this works in full detail, but the expansion of towns, cities, states, countries, territories, kingdoms, and such will all depend on your actions and choices. Depending on your choices, both self made and represented and those offered in game, will decide were you fall into place in this world. Be good, be evil, rule a country, hunt heads, hunt monsters, hell, try and kill a few self proclaimed god's and devils. You may even be able to take their place one day." A breath later and before that could settle in to much he went on to answer the girl in blue dress, "As for playing out side of the group sessions, yes you may. Feel free to explore the world at large." Next on his list was the tigress woman who was trying to act tough, a roleplayer it seemed, nothing wrong with that. This system promoted it if nothing else as a main factor, it was a bit funny that she was braking the forth wall by asking about prices though while still in character though, "It will be on the pricey side. $200 US dollars for the install data and glasses. Prices are expected to lower in the next few years as they become cheaper to produce. Then after the first month the game will cost $40 US dollars a month to play. It sounds high, but look at the level of the game, it cost quite a bit to keep this up. And I can promise that the price will continue to be worth it into the future as the game makers have no plans to ever stop producing new content, more so with the world evolving itself from the actions of the player's with in. Fact is, even the enemies in this game can be terrifyingly powerful AI's capable of learning and adjusting their own battle strategies to those fighting them. Normal enemies have a set function though so no need to worry about that less you go hunting big game like dragons, high level monsters, or rare event bosses. You will see this functions more often than not though with NPCs who are already hard to tell apart from PCs intelligence wise. The goal in this is to not dispel the illusion of the game being just that. But I'm getting ahead of myself, you will be allowed multiple characters. Up to three each unless you wish to pay for more character slots. Though I see no reason as to why you would ever need more than three. Maybe a large family with a shared account, ether way I don't care." with that he waved his had to dispel his last comment and took a deep breath before starting to stand and walking over to the main door using his cane to single the rest follow after him. If they still had questions to ask they could ask as he showed them around town and got on with it. |

MoonSlayer64 Oh, this was going to be very interesting. The game molded itself around the character choices. It wasn't the same thing all the way through. Making himself into a name people only dare to whisper, and that only rarely, unless they were stupid, would be an interesting challenge. He was an assassin after all. Maybe gaining some of his fellow players as allies wouldn't be a bad idea. They could go and kill the bigger baddies to make a name for themselves. Fun times await them. That's for sure. Now, to make the start more interesting. Christopher jumped up to follow "Wise Man" and tapped him on the shoulder. "I'm sorry, but I have one more question. Could we possibly have a practice round with the gathered players? We could get a feel for our capabilities and even take a peek into the battle system before we actually begin playing. It could be the battle tutorial," he explained. A small smile began to form while he started to mentally flip through possible sparring partners. |

Laetitia nodded as she listened to his answers. He clearly knew the game indepth, almost too much so. She smiled softly. "Alright, you obviously know how to contact us, how will we be able to contact you?" she asked as began to turn her sythe over in her hands, getting a feel for it. The motion also seemed as though she were speaking a bit absent-mindedly, as though her question didn't really need an answer, or if the answer didn't matter. She took in the sive and cut of the weapon, watched the decorative carving in the handle. Her fingers following the design, her eyes simming intent on this movement. (sry, kinda short.) |

$200...? Richter thought to himself. That was indeed pricey, but he was more concerned about the monthly fee. He HATED monthly fees...regardless, the man had a point. This was well above and beyond anything he'd seen before. Perhaps that was even a bargain. As for three characters...that would be acceptable. Apparently characters were to be deleted when they died, anyway. He'd have to ask more about that. Evaine stood up to approach the door, marveling at how she could touch the underside of the chair's armrest. It seemed trivial, but to be honest, in what kind of game could you actually do that? As she walked up to the leader, she spoke, "You said something about if a character died, that you could switch to a backup, what did you mean? Is that like copying a character into another character slot or something?" |

[[both are short but I got a doctors appointment that I got to leave for now XD]] Their questions were answered, a price was given, and they started to walk out of the room they were in. In all honesty there was little chance she would play the game after release, but thats how it was for most games with her, after all its not ilke she had a lot of time to spare on these games. The others seemed to still be asking questions, but her own question was answered and she had no more just yet. Flandre hopped off the table and started following Wise Man, humming lightly to herself as she did so. However her attention was grabbed by anew question raised, or rather two words in the question 'battle tutorial'. She giggled at the thought of using her solitary spell in a battle. |

Kyra (known as Anya) listened listlessly to Wise Man, but toyed with her settings just to get the hang of things. Once she had altered everything to her liking, she brought her full attention back on the conversation around her. She noted that the price did seem to be a little high, but if this game was all it was cracked up to be, she would find a way to manage. She zoned out again, deciding that if she had any difficulties, she would just contact the GM. Kyra chose to take this time to examine her weapon, and was pleasantly surprised. It was a fine weapon, expertly made. She rubbed the horsehair bowstring between her fingers, and marveled at the realism of this game. She stood up and walked around. In this world, worries of homework overloads did not exist, there were no exams to study for. Sighing contentedly, Kyra started after Wise Man, anxious to get outside and see what this virtual body was capable of. |

Sheena listened carefully to each answers, taking notes on a booklet on her desk. As Eveline ask her question she smiled across at her. "Not really, Evaline is it? A back up character is an extra character you make and use. Usually less often then your main character. Most people keep extra characters to use mostly as storage and to do the missions that gain either special items or money. Basically they're storage units that they use to trade the items back and forth with their main character." she explained calmly. Then she turned to Wiseman and asked. "So where are we begining in this story? Or what is our first mission I assume would be the better phrasing." |

Merciful_Hate listened to the others questions and the answers Wiseman gave. She then proceeded to rise from her seat an follow the others out the door. A few of them were examining thier weapons, and the weapons themselves held great detail. She looked at her rosary and smiled faintly, it was amazing how real it looked. She also was curious about what Serpent Princess had asked. "Yes, I too am curious as to where we shall begin." Merciful_Hate followed closely behind, not wanting to be to close but also not to far away. Mercy sighed as she realized this game was going to be a long ordeal. She smiled at the thought of a battle tutorial, but was also fearful because she didnt want to be the first test dummy if Wiseman agreed to it. She continued to fidget with her rosary, praying that the game would go well and that these people, whoever they really were, were going to do well also. ((shortish....)) |
