I'll whisper in your ear, You are mine, and you will never have to be alone. And when I pull you near, You'll know I love you like I never loved anyone. So let me be the one to lift you up, I'll carry you home. 'Cause now I'm here to keep you safe, And to catch you when you fall.

I am, but I decided to pick the dragon in a similar way that Firestarter almost proposed picking one of his characters.
I'm basically going to hold an audition for the dragon. I'll get the stats up for dragons the last, and once those are up anyone who is interested in playing the dragon will post in the OOC an audition post, wherein they post as the dragon in the situation I will give. I've gotten too many requests for the dragon part to give it fairly to any one person, so this is the best way I can come up with choosing.
So, what I'm saying is if you wanna be my dragon, you gotta get with my friends. Make it last forever. Friendship never ends. If you wanna be my dragon, you have got to give. Taking is too easy, but that's the way it is.

And on tracking progress in the RP, I will do that as the Game Master, posting stats of opponents in a bestiary as you come across them, tracking how much damage your attack does to the creatures, and rewarding you with bonus abilities, ability scores, and new features for your class and class path.
Basically, leave it up to me to track how it works. ;)

I honestly don't want to overwhelm people with these stats, so that's why I'm putting myself in charge of tracking them. I'll give you guys bonuses and stuff to your attacks as you progress so you'll know the different ways you can attack and interact, but again, I really don't want to overwhelm everyone. Haha.

I might audition for the Dragon just for fun lol. I like doing stuff like that. But, probably still going for a Shadeling, depending on the classes.

Hrmm.. so this is more like a Fantasy RPG than a Fantasy RP..? Can't half tell you're a gamer, Juice
It is reminding me of a Deltora Quest that got lost in Oblivion Elder Scrolls which was then thrown into Middle Earth. So basically, an all-good-things-fantasy Milkshake! Om nom nom!
I'll apply for dragon too, win it, then sell it on the Roleplay Black Market for a large sum of dubloons. Obviously.
Still excited about this

It's a Roleplay searching for Dragons - a whole bunch of people were bound to want to play a dragon, even without seeing your post idea to be a dragon.
I think what Juicesir has done is the fairest way to assign potentially the most powerful character in the roleplay. People should be able to audition for such an important role, rather than just whoever 'posted first'. That'd be a little silly for such a critical role You don't cast the star of the show to the first actor who shows up!! You audition them.
This really is the fairest way, and I don't think we should make Juicesir feel bad about it. If he gave it to you just because you were online at the time and posted first with the idea, then other people would complain about not seeing the thread before, timezones, etc. Or even not realising they could even play a dragon!
Hope that makes sense, and you don't feel too hard done by. This roleplay is pretty important to Juicesir I think, and his doing his best. I'm pretty sure the majority of people will see this as the fairest way. Besides, EN you might still get it anyway if you win!!

Juice, I'll admit I haven't kept up on this as well as I should have, seeing that it is quite simply the best darn thing I've seen in a while. (Nothing against my other roleplays, of course.)
A suggestion? I notice the dragon positions are sought by many. *cough* Possibly including myself. *cough* Maybe someone aught to start a dragon rp.
You mention a few different dragons. The wild and free ones, ones used as weapons (though I'm not sure how playable they would be), and then the Bringer. That's 3 dragon spots that you could have open and fill as you wish. (I enjoy the posting idea best.) If you have the numbers for it, three dragons could satisfy some of the want for the position.
Also, are you going to have classes for the Lost Races?

Oh Pssh - I am Australian too - as are Scarecrow and Akaiyu just to name a few - you're hardly 'token'. You're just excited because you finally noticed that you were given a title by Juicesir after a few days of blissful ignorance don't flaunt your favouritism card here or I'll start more than a fire with you, Brother!

Just playing with you; glad you finally joined up. Can't wait to get started, hopefully Juicesir can start working on it again now that yesterday's little incident is over. Hope Uni isn't too boring, Firestarter!
Anyone heard from Juicesir about this thread lately BTW...?

1. Myriad, as much everyone wants to be dragons, I cannot let more than one person. The focus of this is dragons, not playing as dragons. IF IT HELPS, there may be a sequel to this. Or prequel. But let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Haha. Oi vey...
2. Yes, the Lost will have their shit up by either tomorrow or sometime before Wednesday. I'm centering focus on this.

Sorry for disappearing. I had no internet access for a week. I am of course, still interested. Seems like a lot of people are interested in elves. I'm going to go take a look at the other races again, and it's possible I might change my mind. Probably not, though.
Stats... the muddle me. I will make an attempt to make sense of it all. So, off to read~

Okay, so a few things: none of you will be dealing with stats. I'm not even giving you stats. You don't have to pick stats. I will keep track of them all myself for your convenience, so no worries there. When you attack someone or are attacked, I will give a brief description of what it does to them or to you via a GM post. You will know it because it will be all in red. If afterwards you still feel like you would like to describe in more detail the effect I just briefly described you may do so.
And with that, ladies and gentlemen, Dragon Force is now open and accepting of characters. I have posted everything you need to know to create a character. The OOC is now open. Finally. Officially. At long last.
I will be putting up the info on dragons later. For now, have at your characters, ask any questions you may have, and thank you very much for your patience. It's been a lot of work.

Vane's Ildari Breaker(In Progress) Character Name: Rafti - Subject to Change Race: Human - Ildari Class: Breaker Age: 26 Gender: Male
Physical Description:
Standing at a height of six foot even Rafti is rather tall for his people, though his tall stature is more than likely from when he infused his Darima into his chest. Along with the increase in height Rafti's body has been changed into one of efficient power. His build is extremely athletic despite his slight appearance, this gives him the benefit of being underrated when it comes to battle especially when wearing his coat made of dragon skin which only adds a slight look of bulk to his frame.
As far as what he usually wears Rafti is one for the refined but convenient, preferring to wear a dress shirt and loose pair of slacks. Over that he wears his normal dragon skin jacket. The jacket is a deep blue that has been embroidered with a golden silk. Strapped to his back is the Dragon Bone Sword and on his head is the hairband of dragon fangs which give him an overpowering look.
A small side note, with the fusion of his Darima to his body the immense power that comes with that fusion has affected Rafti's eyes causing them to glow a smokey grey much like the color of his Darima.
Personality: A solemn man Rafti prefers to keep to himself and avoids crowded areas as much as he possibly can even though some of the best information comes from areas like that. Since fusing with his Darima Rafti has always felt different from others, not like he was on a higher or lower plane than them but rather that he was an entirely different entity that had no real place on the world yet. This difference Rafti feels between himself and others has caused trust issues to form within his mind and keeps him from opening up to most people.
These trust issues though are not allowed to get in the way of Rafti's goal, if Rafti knows for certain that a step in accomplishing his goal can come from working with questionable people he is more than willing to ignore his feelings and follow his logic instead. Cool and calculating would be one of the best ways to describe him and the attention to detail that comes from his past in art definitely don't hurt either.
Bio: From birth Rafti has always been a bit different from most Ildari. While others were out tending to the fields, Rafti remained cooped inside his room staring at the 'soul' he had been blessed with. The smokey grey color entranced him, almost consumed his thoughts entirely. If it weren't for his parents' constant meddling the fate he would eventually come to know might have come much sooner. As it was though his parents ever concerned with the strange actions of their child made it a goal to have Rafti at least become somewhat normal if he were to lock himself in his room. The understanding the family had come to was that as long as Rafti would paint and sell the art he could remain in his room and to his own devices. It was a simple enough condition and the twelve year old Rafti was more than glad to take the offer.
For four years Rafti painted the images in his mind that he thought others might enjoy and while initially his paintings were slow to sell they grew in popularity at least briefly and he could revel in the fact that his art wasn't terrible to those that bought it. Now at the age of sixteen his mind began to wander, wander back to the Darima that had enthralled so much before. Remembering his feelings from before Rafti turned to attempting to capture the beauty he saw in the Darima, but to no avail. Consumed by his failure Rafti's mind came to the conclusion that if one were to capture true beauty they must become one with their subject, the subject this time being his Darima.
Implanting the Darima into one's body is both excruciatingly painful and pure ecstasy at the sheer amount of power that begins to course through one's body. To implant the sacred Darima into the body though is the greatest sin among the Ildari and while exile isn't always immediate it is sure to come when people begin to notice the sudden change in a person who has implanted their Darima. Rafti was of no exception, while his habits and personality hadn't changed much the initial surge of power had consumed him and in that Rafti had gone on a rampage killing his mother and destroying most of the home he had grown up in. With so much evidence stacked against him exile came within a few days and the news of his sin was spread to all known Ildari villages so that no refuge would be given to one whose sin was so severe.
All this didn't matter though, to Rafti now that he was one with his Darima his emotions were heightened and he could focus more clearly. For several weeks Rafti traveled through plains, forest, and mountain until stumbling upon a small abandoned shell of a cabin in the middle of a fire scarred clearing. Signs of traffic of the human kind was non-existent and from the minor tracking skills Rafti possessed the presence of animals while somewhat further away was still present. Determining that this was the best place for him to stay and remain self-sufficient Rafti moved into the husk and over the next two years began to remodel the inside and continue to paint aiming to capture the true beauty of the Darima.
Now at the age of eighteen the inside of his home is made of brand new wood from a nearby grove of trees. In one corner of the home is a small bed, and in another a small area kitchen. The biggest part of his home though is his work area used to paint and all along the floor lie scraps of canvas of failed paintings. While fusing with the Darima had brought him to a higher level emotionally and physically he still couldn't comprehend the true beauty of the Darima and with each failure he produced his heightened emotions caused his mind to continue to come closer and closer to the brink of cracking. It wasn't until two months later that he finally broke, the fusion with his Darima had caused his soul to convert into power and his power turned into pure energy that surrounded him. Wrapped in that energy he began to rampage, destroy the entirety of his art and a large portion of the cabin.
For two days this went on until there was nothing left in his mind, starving and numb Rafti collapsed weeping that the past 7 years of his life had been wasted chasing after something he could never accomplish in the first place. In darkness though there is always light, and that light would come from somewhere that Rafti would never had expected. During his rampage Rafti had destroyed the home he had spent so much time fixing and while the emotional toll was great the unexpected surprise he had found within the rubble of his former home was more than enough to distract him. From within the rubble a blade could be seen, but this was no ordinary blade it was one made of the bone of a dragon. At that point in time it had all begun to make sense at least for the most part.
If he couldn't accomplish the goal he had set for himself he could always find another goal and try again after accomplishing that. While it wasn't exactly what he had expected finding this blade had changed everything, while Rafti wasn't an entirely normal Ildari he did still know of the teachings and how dragons were actually considered friends to the Ildari. Dragons, great and powerful beings said to possess magic that other beings could not comprehend and within the bones of those dragons was imprinted a small amount of that magic. If he could gather enough of these weapons maybe Rafti could use that magic to enhance his connection to his Darima and fulfill his wish of conveying the true beauty of the gem to others.
Once again Rafti was off to find his destiny and while he wasn't exiled from his home this time it was just the same having no place to come back to. Leaving from his home Rafti traveled for a year moving from town to town following the rumors of dragon bone weapons and magical items made of dragon parts. At first the going had been rough, learning to control his soul power and sword usage to survive in the rougher areas of the world to defend himself from the wilds. While mastering the power over his soul and how to utilize it was simpler for him sword fighting was something entirely new, his soul infused body was strong but moving his muscle in such an unfamiliar way was painful and the injuries and calluses caused were more than what Rafti was use to. After his year of travel though he became at least somewhat skilled in using his magic blade and had found his first magical dragon item.
What he had found couldn't necessarily be called a weapon but it did possess a small fragment of a dragon's magic and while accessorizing was never his strong point the item he had found was a hair band accented by two large horns made from the tips of a dragon's fangs. The item had been made for a warmonger who had died on the battlefield, while unsure of how to access the magic in the horns like he could with the blade wearing the horns gave the soft spoken Rafti a strong demeanor and granted him a new found respect among those who saw him as being one of power. With his first find a success Rafti was content to chase after the next artifact.
Since that time seven years have passed and while chasing rumors of different dragon items Rafti has stumbled upon hundreds of fakes. The price of wasting his time and attempting to trick him into believing such knock-offs were pure dragon blades was destruction. For the liar all stock they possessed was shattered before Rafti's hand of destruction and for those that led him to his next find the hand of salvation was raised through word of mouth of quality stock and increased business, though whether that business was continued depended on the salesman.
Today Rafti has only found two other items made of dragon parts, an intact sac where dragon's are said to produce their fire from and a coat made from the soft underbelly of the dragon that is both flexible and strong. While these finds are great it is still not enough for Rafti to become entirely one with his Darima and until that time he will continue to chase the ultimate dragon artifact and any others along the way.

Adantiel Gra'Taliae Character Name: Adantiel Gra’Taliae – The Woman of the Wilderness. Race: Ildari Human Class: Sentinel Nationality: Ildaria Age:25 Gender: Female Physical Description: Picture Written Description: Adantiel’s Darima is a shade of smoky grey, complete with a rather faint shade of light purple. When she was a very young girl, her Father crafted a rather intricate bow for her, and incorporated the stone into its design. It now sits at the centre of weapon, jutting out and lining up directly with any arrow she should decide to prime. The bow itself is crafted of a crystalline soul stone that completely mimics her Darima in terms of colour – one would have to take a rather thorough inspection to figure out where bow ends and Darima begins. What’s even more interesting about the bow’s design is that it grows as its owner does, very likely due to her Darima having been built into it. The glowing markings that adorn the entirety of her forehead are no tattoos; in fact she was born with them as she was with her Darima. While they bring a lovely look to her already beautiful features, they are mostly effectively used as a warning sign. For when the symbols start to fade, Adantiel is not someone you’d like to be buddied up with. As a final note, she has the word “Slave” marked on her lower right leg just above the ankle as a painful reminder of her past. Personality: Adantiel is a woman of the wilderness, and there’s not a place in the world where she’d feel more at home than high up in the trees, watching and guarding the creatures of day and night as they carried out their existence. She hopes to save the last Clutch from the wrong hands, knowing that only pain will come to the creatures she reveres. From a very young age, she’d always been quite the independent girl, able to use a bow extremely competently from the young age of 5. Twenty years on, her abilities have increased astoundingly and she certainly considers herself a rival to the Elven Archers. If this woman sets herself a task, you can be sure that you won’t hear from her again until that task is completed. She is heavily obsessed with getting the job done, and getting it done right. While she’s very good at working alone in the treetops and acting as a lone wolf of sorts, Adantiel finds that her best work is always done within a group of people, inwardly taking heavy pride in her archery as well as her tracking and scouting abilities. Having said this, you’ll never see her taunting or dismissing others in favour to her own prowess. Adantiel is as humble as the humans come, and is very quick to make friends in this regard. Unless of course, the symbols above her head are missing; In which case, friendship would be the last thing on the girl’s mind. Simply put, Adantiel has Dissociative Identity Disorder. Up to the present day, she only has only one alter – Dantilae the Huntress. As can be expected, Dantilae stands for everything Adantiel does not and represents all of the pent up pain, grief and rage the latter feels over the death of her family, as well as the ten years she spent captive in a Bordrosian Camp. Dantilae is rude, lacking in both tact and class, and enjoys getting up to all sorts of mischief – and that’s on a good day. She “appears” whenever Adantiel is scared, stressed, inwardly angry, outwardly angry, sick, tired, happy, sad, nervous… Well, she appears whenever she feels like it – though it can be said that the anxiety and anger-related emotions are the most common triggers. The girl is powerless to stop the change, and remembers nothing when the symbols return and she finds herself back to being her again. In complete contrast, Dantilae is completely aware of all that goes on in Adantiel's mind. What few had ever realised was the truth behind the alter and how she came to be… Dantilae is actually Adantiel’s deceased sister. Bio: Adantiel was a happy child, living a perfectly normal life with her parents and her twin sister in the wilderness. Their parents brought their children up without a whole lot of issues, and had no problems telling them apart thanks to Adantiel’s forehead; Dantilae was not branded with such a mark. They loved the kids more than the Wilderness itself. Adantiel and her sister spent their childhood up in the trees, playing hide and seek for hours on end, befriending the creatures of the wild and practicing their archery and sword fighting together. Neither of them could ever be better than the other was; whenever one would make a near impossible shot, the other would split that arrow down the middle with one of their own. The two of them were the ultimate rivals in everything they did. But not all twins were exactly the same; whereas Adantiel was kind, compassionate and caring, ready to throw herself into anything that required her attention, Dantilae was almost the polar opposite in that she was rude, disrespectful and very quick to dismiss those who required her aid. They were always at ends with one another, with Dantilae always getting them into trouble at Adantiel’s expense. However, her sister never held a grudge against her; she didn’t even know how to express any kind of negative emotion. Anytime something horrible would happen to her, Adantiel would brush it off as though it were nothing. The only concern from her parents was that one day she would unleash the bottled up rage and do something she’d regret. This however, was the least of their worries. Adantiel and Dantilae were 8 years old when the Bordrosians captured a newly found Dragon and broke its will. In accordance with their general desire for powerful war weapons, they decided to send the Dragon running rampant through a part of Ildaria’s Valley that was considered “untouched”. The creature’s mind was lone gone when it arrived with some handlers, and without a second thought they set it loose on the Valley. Fire ravaged the lands and destroyed most of the inhabitants therein. Adantiel’s parents were killed as they attempted to buy her and Dantilae time to escape, burned to death by the crazed Dragon’s flames. With their home destroyed and their only family gone, the twins were lost and afraid. Despite their competency in archery, it wasn’t long before they were both captured and made slaves of the Bordrosian Mercenaries. The two of them were subject to daily beatings for ten years, abused by their captives in almost every way, and branded by the mercenaries. All the while they held onto each other for support, hopes of escape never leaving their hearts. However, for one of them it wasn’t meant to be. One night, things were worse than usual; it was a week after their eighteenth birthday and Dantilae had just refused a mercenary’s order to go to bed with him. Adantiel was on the opposite side of the camp when she heard the screams, but was too late. She’d arrived just in time to see her sister lifeless on the ground with the mercenary’s hands around her once beautiful neck. And just as her parents had feared all those years ago, Adantiel exploded. She ripped a sword from someone’s scabbard and ended her sister’s murderer within seconds; all the rest of the thugs were paralysed with either disbelief or trepidation. In the ensuing shock of the moment, Adantiel grabbed her sister’s body, stole a horse and ran for her life. The Bordrosians never followed her, as though some sort of hex had fallen upon them. After three days’ worth of riding, the girl had made it back to where her life had burned down before her eyes. The wilderness was slowly growing back, new plants growing from the ashes of the old. The dust from her parents’ bones were gone, but she crafted graves for them both regardless. Curiously, Dantilae’s Darima did not fade away unbeknownst to the girl. Laying down with her sister on the ground, all Adantiel could do was cry, wishing that she could’ve been there sooner, wishing she could’ve been faster, wishing she could’ve saved a life rather than avenge it. Her sister’s voice echoed back in her head… Why sister..? Why did you let me die? Had things been reversed, I would’ve saved you… And you know it…Adantiel cried herself to sleep that night, wishing that her sister could still live on. And the moment she lost consciousness, she got her wish. When she awoke again, it was three days later and she was back in the Mercenary camp with her Soul Bow lying across her front. Adantiel was surrounded by corpses and covered in blood that didn’t belong to her. The camp was as silent as night, and it soon became clear just why that was… One mercenary stood a little ways away, pants soaked with unimaginable fear. “No!” he shouted as Adantiel rose to her feet… “No, no! Stay back Dantilae you evil wench!” As if being covered in blood and being surrounded by dead mercenaries weren’t enough to give the girl the shock of her life. Her sister was back… *seven years of a new life later* Adantiel is now back in an almost completely renewed Wilderness, and watches over its inhabitants with keen eyes. She’s been known to cause trouble for those who cause trouble for her home, and still receives frequent “visits” from Dantilae when such people do appear. However, less and less troublesome folk have encroached on her territory recently, and her mind has been straying to other, much bigger concerns. Respect the Woman of the Wilderness, or Taste the Wrath of The Huntress…Languages: Adantiel is fluent in Lowric, Primic and Kamarasi. Weapons: She carries with her the enchanted bow her father crafted for her as a young child, as well as two quivers – one laying diagonally across from her shoulder to mid-back as well as one that attaches to two clip on her clothes at her lower back. Though archery is without a doubt her strongest point, she carries with an iron sword just in case close quarters is unavoidable. Armor: Never having been one for worldly riches, or working under anybody after her experiences, Adantiel has naught but the clothes she wears in terms out outfitting for armour. Other Possessions: Once again, Adantiel has naught but her bow, arrows, sword, clothing and apparel. The only other things in her possession are both Dantilae’s Darima as well as her own, and the black horse she stole the day she escaped the camp. Both she and Dantilae call the horse by different names; Adantiel calls her "Lightning", whilst Dantilae prefers "Thunder". Abilities: ~Calling to the Wild: Using willpower, sheer concentration and your love for the wilderness, you are able to summon to your side one of three creatures who can assist you in the plight to subdue your enemies: 1. Supressive Serpent: A black snake approaches you as you prime an arrow and layers it with deadly venom. When the arrow hits a target, the poison will enter the bloodstream at an astonishing rate and - impact injuries aside - the victim will die a quick and painful death over the span of three minutes. 2. Helpful Hare: A small, furry rabbit ducks and weaves through the immediate environment, creating a distraction for you as an opponent loses concentration for one, fateful moment. 3. Protective Predator: When you find yourself cornered by a group of five (or less) opponents, you are surprised to see a wolf jump in front of you, seemingly attempting to keep you from harm. It lets loose a bloodcurdling snarl that sends your enemies in the opposite direction with their tails between their legs. ~Ricoshot: Angling your arrow off of another surface you are able to hit something that would otherwise be out of reach with your arrow. A surface near enough to the target must be available, and if it is so, you may hit them in their weakest spot. An arrow that would fly at the face of an attacker suddenly strikes off of a ledge and stabs them in the back. ~Duelist Jump: Surrendering momentary control of your own body, the nature of the Huntress combines and allows for you to reach places others might not. Running off of purest instinct, you climb walls and squeeze through crags that others might be unable to. The lack of control is short and may only cause minor collateral damage to others, but the benefits of getting to unreachable places is one that is much needed.
