׺°”˜Civilization`”°º×

ண It is the year 3000. Earth has been filled to its capacity with humans and animals have all but vanished from existence. The future looks dim and humankind searches to the stars for a new home but no matter how hard they study the planets or the moon, there is just no place for them to cultivate other than Earth.ண
ண The world as we know it has ended in a slow decay from wars and pollution. Humans have found it hard to breathe, the air being filled with chemicals and smoke from nuclear plants, gasoline, and the other harmful likes. Diseases are emerging that are deadly and they are killing off many by the hour, and out of panic governments are overthrown. ண ׺°”˜Elements`”°º×

҉ The elements were in danger of being destroyed. They had been abused and killed off by civilization for human needs. They were to become extinct like the animals, like the humans would. It was up to the elements to change fate. ҉
҉ The elements made a pact with humans, promising to restore Earth to its former glory before mankind. Fresh air, new land, a fresh start entirely. But, the elements could not do this without something in exchange, something that they hoped would guarantee the Earth's safety. They wanted in exchange for the Earth, a chance to prosper as well- in the bodies of humans. Having agreed, the elements chose their beings according to personality. Earth sought out the wise, Air the sensible, Fire the fierce, and Water the accepting and easygoing. It seemed all was well... ҉
׺°”˜New Earth`”°º×

♋ Years have passed since the pact and human kind is flourishing in New Earth. They have grown into the landscape, using their elemental affinities to further them into the future. But, all is not as well as it seems from above. ♋
♋The elements clashed and so did humans. So, it is only natural that there are those who do not agree with one another. But at this time, so fragile in development, any type of anamosity can be disasterous. The time for a new world order is approaching as people discuss the possibility of one of the elements rising to power. People have divided into clans, sticking to those with like affinities. Hunger for power is building...♋
♋Who will you become? Who will fight for power, who for peace? Which element will take the crown, if any at all? ♋
Culture/History of Each Clan. Eat your heart out :P
Fire- Fire is the most structured of the clans, with a recognized Master that is treated much like a monarch and addressed as “Master –insert name here-”, though history has shown that “mad kings/queens”, Masters who went from the positive spectrum of passionate creativity to the negative side of fire: rage, have been overthrown by the people many times. The Master has a small group of warriors that are sworn to follow every order given to them by the one who is currently ruling; due to their passion and commitment, they usually perish along with the Master when the clan decides to bring a new leader; who usually leads the revolt. Another accepted way of gaining power is by challenging the current Master to a duel, using only the element of Fire to fight in order to determine who has more skill with the element itself and proves to be the true Master of Fire. Either the previous Master surrenders and is shunned from the community or dies; most fight to the death because of their determined nature.
The people here are usually seen in pairs and the culture entails that a person, once reaching adulthood is meant to find love in multiple places, though there are a few within the clan that take only one partner during life. As well, it’s a tradition, once children reach thirteen, to disown them in order for the young to develop into strong individuals. This has varied results. It is normal to see a fight every day, and if a month passes without someone becoming severely hurt or killed, it’s strange. Fights are culturally seen as hardening tools, allowing people to grow stronger with experience. The Fire clan’s motto is to love deeply, and fight passionately.
Women and men are equal, passion making it hard to push one another into a lower category. And, in their forming military, both females and males become involved, and the Master is usually of either gender.
Unlike many of the other clans, Fire is becoming developed with clay buildings that are made through the use of fire and have a central headquarters where the Master dwells, along with his/her group of warriors, who also serve as counsel. This building is then surrounded by circles of the “outer layer” of houses for the rest of the clan, forming a circular surrounding with high walls protecting the entire clan’s area; there is only one entrance into Fire’s city in order to prevent invasions by other clans. This main city is located in a temperate climate.
Water- Water is the most fluid and diplomatic of the clans, and the Master is usually just a figure that is looked up to for guidance. This person lives among the rest of the people and usually simply addressed by his or her name, instead of “Master –insert name here-”. Masters are chosen by their skill over Water and also their sensitivity, diplomacy, and sympathy towards others. Usually, the Master is not challenged and is chosen for life; once they die, the people choose the next in line.
People here do not tend to get into one another’s business, though they are social creatures, and usually they commit themselves to one person throughout their lives (Marriage isn’t really an established concept in any of the clans). Parents raise their children and keep them at home until the children feel ready to leave, allowing them to develop spiritually, emotionally, and creatively. People hold personal and intellectual development over everything else and have strong schools formed over their region, though they are held outside to keep in tune with nature and with their element’s spirit.
Women here tend to be of the more nurturing kind, though they only stay home when they have young children. Women and men work equally here, usually studying and working in fields of creativity; such as molding, painting, teaching, and other forms of art; this makes Water the most developed creatively as they hold many festivals for dancing, eating, and creating as well as watching performances.
As for buildings, the Water clan lives out by the ocean with homes made out of wood from surrounding forests, which is traditionally set out to bleach in the water before construction. These houses are located further up the beach, in order to keep away from incoming tides, and face out into the water in rows.
Air- Air is the most methodical and adventurous of the clans, and the Master is a person selected by the clan to represent the ideals held within the clan, depending on the ideology “climate”. Every five years, the clan comes together for a ceremony in which they either vote to keep their current Master or to bring up a new Master, who would have been socializing highly during the previous month in order to gain popularity among the group by stating his or her ideals and plans for the future. The previous Master is still respected once he or she is voted out, and welcomed back into the community with open arms. The Master does live separate from the main community, in order to keep his ideals pure from the gossip and discussion of others, though he or she usually is seen among the people.
People here tend to gossip, a lot. It is socially inadequate not to take part in conversations when they occur and children are raised to explore the creative nature of storytelling and thinking for themselves. They are raised as unemotional beings that usually pair themselves up with a mate that will logically keep him or her in a good position for the rest of his/her life; such as status within the clan, success in his or her current task/job, and ability to conceive.
Women here tend to socialize and become storytellers, while men are considered the “strategists” of the clan, and organize each voting ceremony and help the Master with his or her needs and plans; usually this Master is a male. There is ongoing argument within the clan about the dominance of males due to their assumed higher intellect and women are beginning to morph the current ideology by attempting to assume higher positions in the clan, some even daring to dream of being the Master.
Due to their nature as a clan to travel, buildings consist of tents that can easily be detached from the ground and moved to the next location of interest. Usually, each tent is a few yards away from it’s neighbors to maintain privacy and so, the clan is well spread out.
Earth- Earth is the most productive and sensual of the four clans, and the Master is selected by the people for life and is picked for his or her ability to connect to nature, wisdom, his or her skill with the element, and also the drive to produce. The only time a Master changes is either when that person dies or fails to live up to his or her promises and duties to the clan, which mainly consist of increasing agricultural production as well as increasing the development of the clan itself in its size.
People here keep to themselves, isolated from one another, and devote themselves mostly to educating themselves in their element and improving their skills. They are wise and kind. It is socially accepted to make mistakes or fail, though never to break promises. People pair off at older ages, though they go into relationships at some points in their lives for the experience but it is not adequate to have a child or commit at a young age. People are expected to think hard before making a life decision such as committing to someone, since it is a promise that must never be broken. Sometimes, men and women alike, swear to a life of solitude in the name of being one with their element. In essence, they are monks.
Women and men are equal in their own spheres. Both are able to be selected as Master but usually tend to be separated by nature in their career/social paths. Females work as teachers or as life-long students to their element. Males as well may choose to be life-long students but also tend to drift into agriculture or in roles as an unofficial counsel to the Master.
Since Earth is naturally more inclined towards the five senses and nature, they live within the earth. They live in cliff dwellings, pueblos that are carved into the underside of a cliff.
Myths, Universal Beliefs & Traditions ✌ Clan members traditionally fight with their elements, though they may use weapons that enhance the power of the element. It is a universal belief that one should use their element to further themselves, and so they use the elements to assist with every day things.
✌ Through the years, humans have begun to wonder if they can communicate with their element; like one would to a god. It has been many years since the pact and the current generations do not know what it is like to meet the elements face to face. There are shrines built in each clan in dedication of their element; the belief holds that if one sits in meditation or uses their element in ways that are approved by said element that it will manifest itself either in the mind or in spirit. There isn’t any proof that this is true.
✌ It is universally accepted that those without affinities have been foresaken by the elements due to their souls not being deserving of the gift, though this isn’t necessarily true. Due to this “myth”, people tend to shun those without affinities.
✌ Each year, the clans celebrate the anniversary of The Pact with a festival of large proportions; it includes dancing, food, performances dealing with the elements, and storytelling about The Pact. It is traditional to keep the peace on this day, in order not to anger the elements.
✌ I’ll probably add more stuff; I have a feeling I forgot something.
Elemental Powers: Rules, Regulations, and a Sprinkle of Common Sense ✌ There is no such thing as an almighty move that will destroy your enemy, and if there was it would most likely kill the character or make them so weak that the enemy can easily crush them without lifting a finger. Why? Each time one makes an element move by manipulation, it requires energy. Energy is neither created nor destroyed and because of this, energy from the human must be transmitted to the element in order to make it move, since movement=energy. This energy does not necessarily come back to the human once the move has been done, though there is a “religious” belief that if one is close to their element spiritually that it will grant the human return of his or her energy. There is no proof of this. You can try it, have fun, and die ✌ It takes concentration to move particles and when it comes to shifting a portion of an element, it takes some serious concentration. This results in your Masters, skilled, intermediate, and not so very good people when it comes to manipulating matter. If someone isn’t concentrated when manipulating his or her element, it can get messy and sometimes dangerous. Ex: try making a pile of earth into a ball; it will crumble if the mind doesn’t focus on each particle of dirt, rock, and plant clinging together with enough force to stay in the shape of a ball. The same goes for water, fire, or air. The water will drip and ultimately end up on the floor. The fire will have sparks falling to the ground and bam, you have an uncontrollable fire on your battlefield. The air doesn’t carry as much “bang” as you wanted it to because it wasn’t concentrated enough to have much impact on the opponent. ✌ What you can do: manipulate the element by shaping it, moving it, soothing it, or causing it to become disastrous. One can make a small spark of fire shape itself into a seahorse, fly through the air, make it die out, or cause it to become a wildfire. One can make an ocean turn into a whirlpool, make it part like Moses did (allegedly), cause its tides to lessen their impact on the beach, or cause a tsunami; All of this, of course, within reason of energy conservation and concentration. (See what I’d gone done thur ;P) ✌ What you cannot do: Summon an element. If you are in a vacuum (how the hell did you get there?) you cannot “make” air appear. If you are in the middle of a desert with no clouds in sight, you cannot “make” water appear in a good portion, though you could probably make a few droplets fall on your tongue if you focus on the water vapor in the air. If you are in outer space (Again, how did you get there??) you cannot make ground appear beneath you if there aren’t any landmasses nearby. If you are in Antarctica, there is no way you’re getting a fire going. Though, fire is pretty easy to manipulate since heat is mostly everywhere. If you just arrived in Antarctica, you could probably use the heat from your body to produce a fire… though, that would mean running the risk of you freezing to death before being able to make a decent fire… You also cannot be connected to an Element, as stated in the myths. This entails: holding a conversation with the element (and it speaking back. You can talk to it all you want), seeing what the element has touched, “seeing” the element spiritually, among other things. Basically, stick to the manipulation of the element, nothing more and nothing less. ✌ Suggestions: Carry a small amount of your element around with you, either in a pouch or jewelry of sorts. Carry enough to help you in a fight, survive, etc. Do NOT try to manipulate elements when you are sick, injured (not like a cut but a broken arm, being stabbed, etc.), tired, dehydrated, or starving. Why? You do not have much energy. Conserve it. DO try to manipulate elements when you are healthy, in good shape, energetic, hydrated, and well fed. Plus, it does help if you’re young ;P ☛ Follow these guidelines and you’ll do great! Don’t and I’ll narrate that your poor character drained himself/herself of energy by creating such shenanigans and died. If you have any questions about any of these matters, the incorporation of weapons with elements, or what exactly “too much energy” consists of, don’t be shy and ask. ☚ With love, Wicked
Landscape, The People, and All That Jazz Courtesy of Ryoku✌ The landscape is as such: It is what Pangea is theorized to look like; If you don’t know what Pangea is or what it looks like, it is a giant continent on Earth that existed until it split into continents and drifted apart to create the multiple oceans that we have now. However, like any continent, it has many dynamics. There are tundras, rainforests, plains, mountain regions, canyons, rivers, waterfalls, lakes, and coastal areas. Though the Fire clan is developed, that does not mean that New Earth is. There is no such thing as concrete so there aren’t paved roads. There are beaten down paths that are so because of trade routes, travels, but that’s about it. As for transportation: feet or animal use. Wooden carts move harvests and water is drawn from wells. Buildings are hand constructed and metal is rare, precious, and used by only a select few (including the developed Fire clan). ✌ Clothing/Accessories/Make-up: Clothing is made either from the hide or hair of an animal. Nail polish doesn’t exist yet. Piercings are rare but they can be found as a tribal sort of decoration, as well as tattoos. Make-up doesn’t really exist, though people may use the stains they have for clothing, which consists of pounded fruits. So, you can stain your cheeks or lips a rosier color with the use of cherry juice but you won’t be finding any Maybelline here. ☛If I need to add more, I will but I'll notify everyone ☚
♩♪♫♬ Technical Stuff *Drum roll*♩♪♫♬ ☛Stuff☚✌ Each clan (Earth/Air/Water/Fire) has a leader/Master that shall be appointed. This spot can be applied for by PMing me, so that I can make sure the character exemplifies the element he/she is applying for and is strong in their control over the element. However, it's not as if the RP cannot go forth without leaders for some of the clans. I can easily produce some story about the leader dying or the position never being taken. It can create some friction between members of the clan who are power hungry, as well. ✌ All is not as it seems. THIS ROLEPLAY WILL HAVE SURPRISES/PLOT TWISTS, so don't apply if you don't like surprises ✌ There will be three spots for people who do not feel like being an element. These people should expect to feel like outcasts, since it is rare to not have an element and is downright strange.
Rules ✌ If you don’t like the surprises, <.< Oh well. ✌ Listen to me and be kind to your fellow roleplayers ✌ Romance and violence are lovely things that keep an RP alive but keep it PG-13-R. No X-ey stuff going on. Also, though this is a war-based roleplay, you cannot kill off anyone unless they give the go-ahead or they’ve gone dormant for an extended period of time (though I’ll probably kill that character off). ✌ This is semi to fully literate. ✌ Post regularly. At least once every other day (If going offline for a long period of time, PM me). ✌ All profiles (except for Masters, which must be approved through PM first) are posted here for acceptance. ☛If I need to add more, I will but I'll notify everyone ☚
Character Stuff Sheets for Masters must be Pmed to me for approval, all others are placed in this OOC. - Code:

Name: Ash Loredane Age: 20 Element: Fire Rank: Element Master Bio: To many, the girl named Ash is everything fire is not. She is reserved, cautious, patient, kind, quiet, and relatively frail. Many viewed the daughter of the recently killed Fire Master as an impotent weakling who would fade like ashes in the fall. They were wrong. Orphaned at a young age to the Air Clan, Ash and her twin were raised in the Air Clan ways, but it never melded. Once the clan discovered her element was Fire, Ash was sent off in secret, taken into the care of the Fire Master and raised to be his own daughter. Ash has few memories of her twin sister, and sought to adopt the Fire Clan lifestyle, shedding her old life and troubles. Above all else, Ash understands the the cunning of fire, the need for timing and restraint so that the heat can burn much hotter. So she waited 5 years after her father's death to stage a massive and perfectly timed coup against her father's killer and the new Fire Master. After killing the man in a duel for the title of Master, she ascended to title. Unlike many others of her predecessors, she has been well received and highly intelligent in her execution of her clan's business. Bringing about prosperity and stability, she has led for a year to great success. She is one of the first Fire Masters to extend diplomatic outreaches to the other tribes. Many see this as a huge turning point for the Fire Clan, but there are some who have suspicions that Ash's intentions may not be pure. Whatever the girl's true intentions may be, they are unknown to the clan at large. She leads peacefully, extends help to the other tribes, and has generally been noted as one of the most successful Masters in ages. Other: If past Masters have been firestorms, Ash is a quiet flame guiding her people through the night. She is hesitant to engage in conflict, which often brings her into very direct opposition to many of her counselors. There are many within the clan who would return to the old ways. For purposes of protection she has a group of bodyguards. Referred to as Everlights, they are comprised of not only the finest warriors, but also the most passionate exemplars of her ideals. She uses them as negotiators and hosts, but nobody questions the fighting prowess of an Everlight.

| Rakula Goshan - Outcast/Nomad |
|---|
Name: | Rakula Goshan | Age: | 32 | Element: | N/A | Rank: | Neutral | Bio: | Bio is long Before he came to call himself Rakula, he was born into the Fire Clan as any other child was, but he was far from normal. His strangeness wasn’t apparent until he reached the age where a child’s affinity for their element should have begun to manifest… but his never did. He passed on into adolescence and early teenage years without ever showing even a spark or ember of heat. At first, his parents and family thought he was just slower to develop, something like that wasn’t entirely unheard of. However, he was the subject of many insults and some people even insinuated that it might be a sign that his family was being forsaken by the elemental spirits. Then his younger sister developed her fiery affinity and those rumors and words were quickly aimed solely at the boy. He tried to tough through it all, but as his own family started to withdraw from him and people continued to deride him, he started to crack.
His parents didn’t have to wait until he turned thirteen to kick him out. He left on his own, gladly, before he even turned twelve. He forsook his name, called himself Rakula Goshan, fled from the village in the middle of the night, taking only what necessities were required: food, water, clothes and a tent. Nobody went looking for him either. As he wandered out into the wilderness, far away from home and family, he had to learn to survive on his own without any help from others or even from the fire spirits that were supposed to bless him with their power. He learned to hunt and cook, to make use of all his fallen prey’s body for clothes, tools, and other things. As time went on, he lost his sense of shame and misery that he felt upon fleeing and in its place rose up a humble pride; that he didn’t need the fire spirits, or indeed, any spirits in order to survive.
Then one day, as he was out hunting for his next meal, he came across a cave that bore into the bottom of a low hill. Curious, he ventured into the darkness. He still can’t remember or guess how long he spent down there, but eventually he came to a dead end in the endless caverns and there he found a cavern made by an underground river. Inside of it he found a truly miraculous site: the walls and ceiling twinkled and shimmered in the harsh lighting of his torch. What he found was a great number of gems and precious stones embedded in the walls. Astonished, he hurt himself finding a good rock to use in dislodging one of the gems; a diamond if what he was taught about such rare things growing up was correct.
Rakula moved his camp to just outside of that cave, and from then on, whenever he wasn’t hunting or performing any other task, he ventured into the caves to that shimmering chamber and began the exhausting and difficult task of excavating as many of them as he could. It was not something done in the span of a few days; he spent weeks and months slaving over the collection of the gems. His hands became callused and his muscles strong and hard. His eyes became more sensitive to sunlight and now he has some difficulty sometimes with breathing, but it doesn’t matter to him. And as he continued to dig, he started finding more things. One such thing was a strange type of stone that stronger and had an interesting, rustic red color to it. It was iron. His memories took him back to that place he left behind so long ago to the fire users that would find this metal and use it to craft useful items.
So he gathered as much of the ore as he could, hauled it to another smaller cave that he was using to store the gems he found, and bore out a small chamber. Over the course of several days, he sought out the necessary tools to turn it into a small furnace and worked the ore into something he could use. He made a hammer, and with the hammer, he went through a great deal of trial and error to craft himself something that he could use to help him hunt and to defend him from predators. Up until that point, he just used rocks or traps, but it always proved exceedingly difficult. He thought of the knives and ceremonial daggers that were used and went from there. He thought of all the things he did in his day to day activities.
He made quite a few pieces of junk, often having to melt them back down, get more iron ore, and start over. But over time, he started to understand and get better, until eventually he created a curved blade like a crescent moon that was about two feet tall and sharp on the outer edge and most of the inner edge, except for a section near the tip and what was to be the handle. He wrapped the handle in leather made from his hunts and attached to that same end a small hook which he tied a long rope made from coiled, thicker strands of leather and made himself plenty of slack which was kept coiled up at his side. It was an item that, more than just a weapon, was also an incredibly useful tool for hunting, skinning, clearing out foliage, slicing fruits, etc…
Of course, even having made it, he quickly learned that using it was a different matter entirely. He injured himself several times at first, but as days went by, he learned safer ways to use it and to maintain it, often repairing it and strengthening it as he found more new iron ore. Eventually, it became an extension of his body and he couldn’t imagine being without it.
By this point, years and years had gone by, though Rakula wasn’t entire sure how many had passed. He had grown strong, living out on his own, and his thoughts once again turned back to his former home. How was his family getting on? The Master had probably changed a couple times since he left… Perhaps it was time that he paid them all a visit… They probably wouldn’t even recognize him now. He changed a lot over the years… | Other: | Being out in the wild for so many years on his own has taught Rakula a great many things about himself. He learned that he was a coward, but after years of hardship, he's learned how to keep that fear from controlling him and to keep a cool head. He can wait for hours and hours with his eyes on a trap, or tracking a herd of animals and waiting for one to wander off. Of course, such long hours of physical inactivity left his mind free to wander and so he spends a great deal of time in quiet contemplation of a great many things. Unfortunately, so much time spent away from other people has caused his peoples skills to degrade quite a lot. Politeness is not something he is especially good at. He will speak his mind, even if it means insulting someone, and doesn't lie, but if someone confronts him, he could easily mask any unease behind a face of absolute calm and strong confidence; a skill learned from facing down many a predators. Also, while he is unaware of it, he still holds a great deal of bitterness and contempt for the clan that disowned him, and by extension, pretty much all elementalists will receive the same treatment from him. When it comes to women and romance, he will still be really awkward since he didn't get to experiment much with that before he left, but he will treat it much like facing a predator and thus will react in much the same way as if he were facing down a bear. | Flaunt it: | Rakula has been made tough and hard over the years and his body reflects this. He stands just over average at an even six feet with a broad frame and strong muscles sculpted through mining, the forge, hard labor, and hunting and fighting off predators. His skin is scorched bronze, though somewhat dull due to the amount of time spent in the caves. His complexion improves day by day as he spends less and less time there though. His dark brown hair is messy, but he keeps it relatively short at chin-length so that it doesn't get in his way and a thick, short beard covers much of his face. His eyes are of average size, though somewhat narrow and amber-colored. He sports multiple scars around his body from close scrapes with animals and beasts, as well as simple screw-ups he brought on himself. The most prominent scars are a series of deep claw-marks down the front of his torso. His clothes are mostly earthly colors and dull since he makes all of it from animal skins and leather. He keeps his garb fairly practical without much flourish or patterns, and he also has a mantle of sorts made from branches and leaves that he uses when out hunting.

Ack, I'm adding this onto the first post but just for now: Just because someone is born into a clan does not automatically mean that they will grow with an affinity for that specific clan's element. It may happen, though not at a high rate, that someone is born into the Fire clan but bear the affinity for air and so on. This person would then be relocated to a new clan either by a family member, a counsel member, or even simply abandoned to figure it out on his or her own.
... I knew I forgot something >.<
Also, Drakedragon, your character is accepted Marvelous job on the sheet and the sketch.

Name : Zane Victor Age : 24 Element : Wind (Air) Rank : Element Master
Bio
Zane Victor was son of the last leader. Zane grew up with distrust, hate, resentment, and even cold eyes staring him down. He quickly won the trust and respect of his people. However it was not easy. His father had refused to be with Beth, a woman that everyone thought would be the most logical choice. The women wanted Beth there so they could achieve higher influence and obtain their dream of higher ranks. However instead of Beth their leader had a child with another woman. The woman was of low standing and did not have much influence or power. Unlike Beth she brought no cards to the table, and everyone saw her as a mistake. The men started to watch the leader more carefully and this started to form a gap. The women did not get their higher ranks like they were aiming for, and this formed a even greater distrust. This was the greatest mistake the leader ever made. However despite that he ends up keeping his position as leader for almost 6 straight runs. Since he only made that one major mistake, and the others were insignificant.
However when Zane was born he was saw as the child of the woman that was the mistake, and the greatest one his father ever made. Many did not believe Zane would ever be the next leader due to his parents. However as Zane grew older he was showing great potential, and signs of leadership. Zane was born with white hair, and many believed that it was a sign of him being chosen by the wind it self. Since his parents, nor ancestors that they know of ever had white hair. This gave Zane a slight advantage, and he used it. He had a bit of trust despite his father's screw up and who his mother was thanks to his hair. Or rather their cultural and beliefs. He dealt with the distrust, the hate, and disbelief and over came it. He developed good social skills, and manipulative skills due to this, and having this hate as he grew up also helped him achieve better control over his own feelings and emotions. So as a person among the clan he quickly was gaining their favor. Every member of the clan you see is trained in their element even before they are able to use it. So as Zane over came these challenges it was along side his other daily duties or activities. These people skills made his combat skills blossom. Now he not only was gaining his people's favor, but also keeping it.
Zane's training you see entailed combat using the pole. He was taught martial arts as he was growing up so that when his abilities did awaken, he would be off on a great start. His abilities did not awaken till he was 10 years old, and this was a set back. The respect and trust he did his best to earn was soon being damage by people suspecting he was not chosen by the wind actually, and was disowned by it instead. Even the people that did not believe that rumor agreed that him gaining his ability later in life than most others would hurt his training and put him behind the others. Zane however yet again proved them wrong. Once he obtain his abilities it did not take long for him to reach the top ranks of his clan of his age group. Due to his late awaken abilities he was able to focus more on his martial arts and poles, and use any other time he had on his studies. This meant he spent more time than others on them, since he did not have his element to deal with at the time. So when his abilities did awaken he had a better foundation starting off with them than others, and this gave him the ability to catch back up with the others who had their abilities longer, along with some hard work.
By the age of 19 Zane had achieved a position of one of the top ranks in the entire clan. Between his people skills, his combat skills, and his control over his self and others he had gain the trust and respect of the majority if not everyone. His father's was near the start of his 7th straight run, but the last year of his 6th run ended with Zane taking over position of leader. His father had said Zane was too young to take over, and even went so far as to tell Zane to step down in private. Zane by this point used his emotions, but was a point where he did not let them control him, and he made the logical choice for his people and disobeyed his father. He took the position as the new leader, and achieved it by promising a new era for his people. That he would allow woman into all positions all the way up to his helpers, or council as one could call them. That just as the wind is ever flowing and always continuous. That time never stops, and goes ever forward. Change was part of their culture, and he would bring the new change to his people. That he would respect their customs but would not let it stop development with his people. That over the years he had proven them wrong every time as he would take his father's greatness and leave behind his mistakes.
Currently Zane is 24 years old. He now as served a full term as master. He now as achieved the top rank in the clan with his combat skills. Along with his people skills and control he most likely will be the leader for many more terms into the future. The majority of his people love him, respect him, and treasure him as their faithful leader whom they trust with their life. However another set back hits Zane once more. The people still see Beth as a respect woman in the village, and would like Zane to choice Beth as his partner. Zane ironically refused Beth for various reasons which he explained to his people in great detail so they would understand. He had said that Beth was the woman they choice for his father, and that change was part of their culture and that choosing her was sticking with the past. That he wanted a more youthful woman who would have new ideas, and beliefs. Along with going so far as to embarrass Beth by also pointing out the fact she was in her late 40s and could not keep up with him if she was to stand next to him. He made more than two thirds of the people understand and why he was not acting from emotion but from logical. The fraction that does support Beth full heartily however does not budge and may cause trouble in the future.
Other :
Zane is the type to use his emotions, but not to let them control him. You will see him smile, but that does not always mean he is happy. You may see him cry, but that does not mean he is sad. He controls his emotions and only lets you see what he wishes you to see. So reading his thoughts or feelings off his appearance is impossible. He does not let them get the better of him, and won't let them interfere with his work. The reason he does not just toss his emotions all together is because he believes that having emotions are not necessarily not logical, just misunderstood when they overwhelm you. He won't treat you like trash till you give him a reason, regardless of your origin. He is not afraid to offer a helping hand to those in need, but he also is not afraid to kill them if they try to betray him and do harm. He won't let his emotions overwhelm him, and will control them. Emotions after all are needed for understanding his people and others.
However he is very open minded to new ideas, and beliefs. He is very creative and takes his job seriously. He does his best to be respected not only by his people, but by everyone even other clans. He tends to act like a gentleman, he gives the other leaders his respect, and is one to listen to their ideas. However he tends to treat woman better than man due to this. Zane is able to sit still, but enjoys being active more. Rather walking or training he would rather be doing something if possible. When it comes to his clan traveling and moving to one location to the next he does his best to relocate them in places of beauty. He believes a proper environment is key to the development of his people, moral, and their spirit and health. However when it comes to combat he tends to use his extended martial arts and his pole much as possible believing he should save his strength to use his abilities when it really is needed most. This also is why he does not engage in war without proper cause. There is no point in wasting their strength when there is no proper cause after all.
Flaunt it :
Zane stands at exactly 6 feet. He appears weaker than he actually is due to him being small however he is quite strong. His piercing golden eyes will strike right into your very core. His hair is strangely spiky white, and goes down to his shoulders with it covering some of his face. It is quite thick, but very soft. Neither of his parents have white hair, neither does past generations. Since he is quite active outside, he does have muscle and his white skin is quite tan. He usually wheres a black robe with hood, with black cloth made into a t-shirt and pants. Due to his light weight body with his experience his foot steps are soundless. On his back is a five and a third feet long pole which is made of the finest oak wood, it as string tightly wrapped around it to add better grip, and to make it more sturdy across the whole thing.
One would be wise to learn not to judge a book by it's cover. There are many secrets, some good, some bad. His attentions are never truly known. Zane is different from any past masters, and is very much like the wind. Many disagree but that is because Zane takes on the form of wind that many over look, and brings out it's true greatness. The wind is free, and controls it's own path to where it leads. It is precise, and can not be caught. It is gentle, yet can be very destructive when it wishes. It continues to travel, and lets no one stop it. It can be merciful, or unforgiving. It is ever changing and can not be predicted after all. But most of all it watches over the earth, fires, and waters.

Just as a notice: I need two more "Unknown"s before I can begin. I could fill in for one or both, but that would be no fun. As for the Earth Master, I can probably fill in as that role if no one else grabs it by Sunday-Next Sunday (depending on whether I receive the required profiles by then). It can stay open for a while, with the Master and his/her group joining in later but not to late in the game.

And here be my lady,
Yes, I know, really short... but blah... lol, I sorry
Name: Brooke
Age: 26
Element: Water
Rank: Element Master
Bio: Brooke is the daughter of the last water master of her clan. The girl had been brought up nicely in the village, coming into her element quickly, and mastering it just as fast. She saw the leadership role played out well by her mother, and she easily followed within her mother’s footsteps.
When Brooke was sixteen, her mother died in a performance accident during one of the many festivals that her clan often held. Her father was in no shape to step into the leadership role his love had held, and, after much debate, the people elected Brooke, who was honored to fill her mother’s place amongst the people. She was already mature for her age when she took the position, and the young lady has grown more so since then. Always taking time for the people, Brooke has lived up to her mother’s name, and more.
Other: Brooke is incredibly soft-spoken, and gentle, though she can be firm when the situation warrants it. She’s always willing to lend a helping hand where it is needed, and is there to listen, or be there for anyone within her clan. This isn’t something she was taught, as she was like that when she was little as well, a lovely little trait she’d received from her mother. With the creativity that flows through her from her element, parents, and with the constant flurry of activity around the people, Brooke has developed a love for dancing, and performing. She’s trained, and worked her element into her performances, making intricate displays that are unique to her, and her positioning.
Flaunt it: Brooke

Chaos, if I may offer some humble advice, your CS is a little confusing to read. You're repeating yourself quite a lot and the bio seems to jump around a lot. It might help if you describe things in the bio in a more linear fashion or perhaps even give each major point its own paragraph. As for the other parts where there's a lot of repetition, it helps to just cut out repeated phrases where possible.
EDIT: Also, Paradox, if additional characters are needed and nobody else joins, I can always make a secondary character.

Thank you, Drake. That would be a relief, as long as it won't be a stress on you. I'm used to playing two+ characters so it isn't that bad

I might redo how it is set up sometime tomorrow then.
I can read it just fine, however I suppose that is only because I made it.
Since what I did to cause the jumping around was I made the character sheet. Then I went back and worked on it, adding various info to different sections. However I added the info, and did not really re-do the wording or set up of the past area of it to fit the add on.

It was a bit repetitive at moments but those are easy fixes I didn't exactly feel like being knit-picky about. You're one of the lucky few (it must be because it's 3am over here) since I am a grammar nazi.
As for my character sheet, I shall wait for all the essential roles to be taken before plugging in my character(s) in the least occupied clan. I have concepts for each, so I just have to plug in personalities that fit whatever clan needs more people and so on. If I don't recieve two more Unknowns, I have a backup plan so that the plot doesn't become completely gross due to their absence. I always have a plan B... and Z.
Really loving what I'm seeing so far with the sheets. I'm definitely certain that this roleplay will be great

I'd volunteer for a second character, as well, but I don't know if that's a good idea right this second, lol. I've got another character to figure out, and another rp that just started up that I need to post it. We'll see how it goes, though, in the next couple days, I might be able to help.

Ok Guys, Here's the Earth Master:
Name: Dante Terraria
Age: 22
Element: Earth
Rank: Elemental Master
Bio: Ever since early childhood, Dante had been the master of her own universe. She would work hard, never accepting help from others and making sure that the tasks she set out for herself were completed with one hundred percent accuracy and efficiency. Her elemental skills were phenomenal for someone of such a young age, and her dream was to one day be the one to rule over the Earth Clan. By the time she reached the age of thirteen, Dante was doing incredibly well for herself. She was already the best Elementalist in both her close and extended family, was doing very well in school, and was living the life of a secluded young girl living her own life within the clan.
Her parents - concerned that their daughter was pushing herself too hard - began to implement rules into her daily routine, something she was certainly not happy about. The new rules kept her from achieving the same level of efficiency she’d once had – and it showed in her daily life. She was disallowed to train for more than four hours per day – rather than the average eleven per day. During training, she’d lose focus and nearly knock people out if she were to trip whilst using her element. The routine continued to further her sloppiness for an entire year. Her nine year old brother Terrence could see her slipping thanks to her parent’s new rules and decided to challenge his sister to a match.
If he were to succeed, her perfect win/loss ratio (24 wins/0 losses) would be marred by a single negative stroke against her. Dante reluctantly agreed, knowing that the fight was hardly going to be simple like it had been previously – her brother had never been particularly strong. But ever since she’d been restricted by her mother and father, she’d lost a lot of control. The fight was brutal, and the girl found herself unable to compete with her weakling brother – eventually losing the match after about 10 minutes without even mounting an offence. Her parents encouraged her brother the entire time and celebrated his victory with a huge dinner. Not once had she received any of that for any win. If there was ever a case of sibling rivalry, this was it. It was obvious who the favourite was.
The loss crushed Dante deeply, unable to deal with her parents’ restrictions any longer – she would break out of this imprisonment of the mind, one way or another. That fight had been the last straw, and that night, the girl began to plot her vengeance. For the next six years, she would go through her day and follow her the orders of her parents, train for the four hours allowed her, come home for dinner and sleep for an hour, before going back out and training for another 8 hours at night. Her parents had never been the wiser – they soon would be...
On her 19th birthday, Dante challenged her the entirety of her immediate family to a match – the stipulation being that if she won, they’d let her go back to training for as long as she wanted, whenever she wanted. Her Mother hesitated, having seen look of determination in her daughter’s eyes that she’d never seen before. It was almost... frightening. Her father and brother however were overjoyed at the chance to further show Dante that they were superior. Boy, were they in for a surprise... The girl’s secret training paid off wonderfully, and by the end of the battle, all three of them could barely support their own weight, too battered and bruised to move. Dante nursed them all back to health after the fight, being the bigger person after having received her small revenge. As promised, her parents allowed her to continue on the way she had done for years –training hard, learning well and living life to its fullest. Nothing was keeping her down. Many people – including the former Earth Master, Terrence – could see her efforts, her striving to be a better person, someone that people could aspire to be like, someone that people would follow. A leader.
Soon, she was approached by the Master’s Men and was requested to meet him. In acceptance, Dante soon realised that she had been accepted as a Candidate for Earth Mastery, and left her old life behind. For two years, she learned under the tutelage of Terrence himself, and trained with him on several occasions. She learnt all about what it meant to be the Leader of a Clan and what one had to do to maintain it. After that time, The Earth Master was stricken by an incurable illness and unfortunately passed away soon after. Though saddened by the loss of a good friend and mentor, the girl found resolve in the fact that she promised to be as good an Earth Master as the last had been – provided that the People would choose her next to be the one to succeed him. And with a stroke of good luck, after seeing all that she’d learn and accomplished under the Former Master, they elected her. Her reign would soon begin.
Other: Dante is strong willed – virtually unable to be broken. So long as she has hope, she has the willpower to fight back anything that oppresses either her, or her people. She doesn’t like to take no for an answer, though won’t push an issue unless the situation surrounding it is absolutely dire. Half her life is training, the other half is leading the Clan – there is no in-between. She’s a very wise individual for her age and is attentive to all problems within the clan as soon as they appear. The last thing she wants people to think is that she’ll ever let them down.
Dante also hates anything to do with food and the digestive system. Part of the reason behind this hate is her Ageusia, or lack of a sense of taste.
Flaunt it:

Alrighty. I at least want another Unknown before we begin (and it cannot be Drakedragon <.< ). I will have a character sheet up for my role soon and Fredkrug is working on his member character.
If any of you know of other people on the site who might be enticed by this roleplay, get their fannies in here D:< I would much rather have more people than someone doubling as two characters.

I'm waiting on an answer from Juicesir about something in his profile before I can submit mine -___- I blame myself for trying to be accurate with ages and stuff. Alright, I was just asking to see if you were having trouble or something since it's been three hours or so since you said you were working on it.
Guess I look forward to the characters tomorrow then...

Name: Raja Eneas Age: 25 Element: Earth Rank: Neutral
Bio: Sebastian Eneas, a proud member of the Fire clan had elevated himself in the clan and had risen into one of the most esteemed positions one could ever hope to gain: a place in the Fire Master's group of warriors. He was both a counselor to the fine leader and a protector. Everyone believed that Sebastian was chivalrous and determined, a fine symbol for the Fire clan. He committed well, finding Alexandria at a young age and never letting go. The two would have a child during the current reign by the name of Raja Eneas. She carried on the signature marking of her proud family: red, luxurious hair. Sebastian had plans for his little girl to grow up and become a warrior that would stand beside her leader proudly, as he did. However, the universe had other plans in store for the family.
When the year came for Raja’s affinity to make itself known, it did not or at least, it didn’t seem like it had. Sebastian asked his daughter to summon fire; Raja could not. Alexandria asked her daughter to summon fire; Raja could not. And so, they began to believe that their child was an invalid, that she was one without the blessing of the Elements. This took a toll on the family as a whole and Sebastian’s parents coaxed him to get rid of the child one way or another before people could catch wind that the mighty Sebastian had conceived a forsaken child. He soon began to believe that Raja would mean the end of his career as a warrior if he did not find a way to rid himself of the disgrace. However, Alexandria did not think this way. She loved her child passionately, and became conflicted. She did not want to lose Sebastian but she did not want to lose her child. This began an endless fight between the two lovers and they quarreled day in and day out. Raja, all the while, remained silent. She wasn’t the most social creature and did not find it necessary to tell her parents that she did not carry the affinity for Fire, but instead that of Earth. She knew of her blessed nature but shunned it, ashamed that, though she carried the mark of her family, she did not continue the lineage of the Fire clan. Raja, too, was conflicted as to what exactly was the worse fate.
During this ongoing battle, there came the stirs of a new Fire clan leader, a man who had, for some time, his eyes on the title of Fire Master. Raja’s father could not stand that his position was being threatened from two angles. He would not be the warrior of a fallen Master, nor would he fall from the shame of being the father of Raja. In the heat of passion and madness, Sebastian set out to make an alliance with the contender and when the old Master fell along with the warriors, he did not. Sebastian was from then on known as the traitor of the clan, though no one dared to speak of this. Once he had secured his place beside the new leader he made sure that no one, not even his dear Alexandria, got in the way of him when he went for Raja. Raja simply stood there calmly in wait of what she knew was to come ever since she found that she did not have Fire’s blessing: her father’s wrath. He had no intensions of shunning her, but getting rid of her. He would claim it was an elemental accident and that his daughter had lost control of her element and burned in a fire along with their home. He wanted to rid himself of the shame. However, Alexandria would not have it. She blocked the way to her protesting daughter and urged Raja to leave, for her own good and for good. Though it did not please Raja to leave her home, she had to since she knew full well if she did not, she would die. She had to finally admit to herself that it had not been a mistake and that the Elements would not take Earth away and give her Fire.
Raja fled, running fast and hard. It was not until she was outside of the Fire clan walls that she heard the fiery flames licking and consuming her home. She did not know whether or not either of her parents survived the fire and she could not risk going back to find out. And so, she continued to run.
Raja found her way to the Earth clan, finally accepting during her travels that Earth was hers and she was Earth’s. Once getting there, people did not exactly welcome nor shun her. They looked upon her hair as a mark of her family blood. Though the Earth clan prided themselves in being wise and generally calm, they still had doubts about the redhead and alarms went off whenever she was in anyone else’s presence because of where she came from. She had gone a long time living with the fierce fire clan and that worried members of the Earth clan. Due to this, Raja kept to herself more than usual and decided, to make up for her years of abandoning Earth, to commit herself fully to the element, promising to never be distracted from the true purpose of being blessed with Earth: to become one with the element.
Other: Raja is quiet, but not because she is shy. She is consumed in her thoughts and in the sounds, sights, and sensation of everything around her. She is wise from her experience in life, but still sensitive to the past and thus not fully “ready”; in order to gain the self accomplishment most people blessed with Earth feel the need to have Raja knows that one day she must accept her mistakes in the past and to move forth in life. However, though she may not admit it, her life of solitude is a way of running away but also a way to remain in an everlasting moment of contemplation over her actions and those of her family, clan, and the world overall. She still has the determination that runs in the blood of Fire and has moments of passion that are mostly suppressed below the surface.
Flaunt it: Raja
For apparel, Raja tends to wear long tunics of brown, beige, dark green, and other such earthly colors. She wears her hair free and walks around mainly barefoot. She does not wear jewelry.
