It’s Athens, Greece in 450 BC. While the humans go about their daily business below, the Greek Gods watch with anticipation. A small group of ‘special’ humans have gathered. They aren’t like the others, these humans are part God, and they want revenge. Determined to expose the Gods for what they really are, the group set out to destroy Mount Olympus. However in order to reach them, they must complete 12 tasks all set around the world. Although the 12 tasks don’t sound like much, they require more than just there average human strength. Using their god-like powers they must complete each task. The tasks are perilous, and some may suffer great losses amongst the way. The tasks are revealed the more they find clues. Every person gets a chance to create there own tasks (you can stick it on the end of your character sheet). One ‘human’ accompanies them however. She is unlike the others, and despite not being half God half human, she too contains powers above and beyond the norm. Be warned, she is not all she seems. Although none of the group knows it, she’s working alongside the Gods, in particular with Hades, who has promised her the chance of a lifetime – to become immortal. The story begins with the group in Athens. They all know each other, and know what they must do. I will be playing one the six, but I'm going to be nice and let you guys do your stuff first Try to make each character totally different to make it more interesting ![]() What you need to know |

I'd like to jump in on this. I should be studying/writing a paper for a final that's tomorrow so I'll probably write up my CS tomorrow to post. |

Wait, two questions. Can we play as the actual gods? Or was that not intended? I'm just curious. And are there going to be other nationalities other than Greek? |

Juicesir - Yes you can play as a God, and at the moment as I'm not sure how many will join, I may offer people two roles like the half god and god roles Just makes it more interesting Also, I'd prefer if most were Greek, but I understand if you want other nationalities, just run it by me first and I'll give you the all clear and that ![]() Ravenroses - wicked, like I said, no rush, I haven't even started mine yet! Dream - Take your time, see reasons above

Name: Alexis - means helper or defender Age: 17 Nationality: Greek God/Half God: Half God Personality: Alexis is strong-willed and kind. He's the type to look out after you, a good friend to have around. He can have a temper when pushed, but is most of the time very gentle. He doesn't like the God's, but was unsure about joining the group at first. He loves a good joke, but isn't particularly funny himself, in fact he's quite a serious person. Apperance: Alexis is tall with broad shoulders and a well built frame. He has longish brown hair which flops down over his eyes, and he has silver eyes (a sign that he is a half god, and who his father is). He has a charming smile, and although only 17 looks like a man already. History: Alexis doesn't like to discuss his history. But here goes... His father is poseidon. His mother was a human woman. His mother was out sailing with her husband when a terrible storm hit. This is because poseidon fancied his mother. He made sure she was knocked over-board and dragged down to his dwelling. It was there that he had his way with her. Nine months later Alexis was born. When Poseidon had learned that a son had been born he killed Alexis's mother and tossed her into the sea. Saddened by his rage, he asked Zeus to turn the mother into a beautiful sea horse. Zeus granted this gift. Meanwhile Alexis was left alone. His mother's husband had been killed at sea when his mother had had her virginity stolen. He was taken in by a family and taught to speak, read and write quite well. He became a scholer at the age of only 15. He was particularly interested in the works of Aristotle. The other children laughed at him, but he tried to deal with it. When he turned 16 he decided he didn't want to be a scholer anymore as he was sick of the teasing and curelty. Instead he chose to join the Greek army. This led him to meeting the group, and joining in their quest. Powers: Being the child of Poisedon, Alexis has the ablity to control water, as well as water creatures. Weapon and armour: Alexis wears a leather breast plate which was given to him in the army. He also carries around a wooden spear made from the finest wood. TASKS: 1 - To retrive the lost scrolls of Aristotle's first work on half Gods never been seen before, and burn them without reading. The scrolls place of hiding is unknown to the group currently. 2 - To reach the Island of Gaia which was lost under sea 100 years before after a terrible flood. There they must defeat the sea creature who defends it - Leto (meaning lost or forgotten) |

Name: Lydia Age: 19 Nationality: Greek God/Half God: Half god Personality: Lacking in much of a personality, Lydia is one who is very strict with herself. She does not let her hair down so easily around those she does not know. Even those she does know, her guard is usually firmly in place. She spent too much time alone to know how to properly act in front of others. Appearance: Dark long hair graces just below her shoulder blades. It's usually tied up in a high ponytail with bangs in her hazel eyes. Lydia is average height and slim but well built. She is well-developed for a woman of the woods but people rarely know that of her. History: Created from Artemis without the aid of a male, Lydia sprang forth on this earth from one of the goddess's arrows and a kill. Although her "mother" denies her existence, Lydia holds no ill will toward the woman. She grew up following her "mother's" footsteps. She learned to hunt and loved the mountains. Day and night she would roam through the trees and up the steeps inclines to track and roam aimlessly. She spent little time with other people. It wasn't until she was ten that the other gods even learned of her existence; even then, it took some convincing that she was the daughter of Artemis. The other gods convinced her to leave the mountain she grew up on to visit them and learn the ways of the world. Lydia learned quickly that it was not something she enjoyed but she did it anyway to save face. She knew what was expected of her and did what she had to in order to be in the full gods' good graces. Powers: Skilled hunter and tracker. Also has the ability to wield any weapon with ease. Weapon and armour: Her weapons are two straight blade daggers she keeps in sheathes on her belt. The blades hum with some power infused into the metal. The armor is light. Shinguards and a round shield are all she will carry with her into a fight. Tasks: 1. Hm.... 2. ..... [[Obviously this is a work in progress but I'm hitting writer's block. Also, if you want, I don't mind playing more than one character (a god and human) if others don't join.]] Edited by ravenroses, May 15, 2011, 11:53 pm.

Sexy Shoeless God of Something
|
Name: Hades Age: Really Old Nationality: Olympian God/Half God: King of the Underworld, God of the Dead and Riches Personality: Compared to his lustful brother Zeus and his stormy brother Poseidon, Hades is a picture of calm. Content to brood in his dark domain, he rarely interferes with the above world, but his placid facade is just a farce. Beneath what his brothers perceive to be a calm and docile exterior, Hades is malevolent and cruel. He enjoys the suffering of others, and often visits Tartarus to watch as those condemned souls boil in the ever destruction therein. He sets his demons and spirits out secretly into the world to gather information and sew discord amongst the other gods, and his secret scheming and plots he keeps to himself. He is as uncaring as death itself, and will not hesitate to kill someone in his way. Apperance: Spoiler: click to toggle History: The oldest son of Cronus, Hades was swallowed by his father as soon as he was born into the world. Eventually being released by his brother Zeus, they waged a war on the Titans. With the gift of the Helm of Darkness from the Cyclopes, he was able to sneak into the Titan's camp and destroy their weapons, assuring his brother's success and the fall of the Titans as gods. While his brother's claimed all credit for the war, Hades was content in torturing his father Cronus and the rest of the condemned in his newly created torture realm of Tartarus. Hades has always been at the helm of death and darkness in the world, and he has enjoyed toying with humans and creation in the secrecy of his domain and with the ability of his Helm of Darkness. Taking Demeter's daughter Persephone as his wife assured him companionship in the Underworld, but he has always longed to sire a mortal. Unable to truly interact with life in this way, he became jealous and loathsome towards the living. Until he found Aletheia, that is. The two were a divine pair, matched in ways that Hades only could have dreamed of. The girl had a natural gift and affinity for summoning the darkness Hades controlled, and while he did not approach her at first, his curiosity eventually got the better of him and he got to know her better. Hades considers her his protege, and the best hope he has for truly controlling the realm of the living. He lives vicariously through her, and she has garnered his respect, something which few immortals have. Powers: Hades' touch steals the life from anything living it comes in contact with. In this way he can steal a person's soul for his own coveting. Hades is immortal and can fire death bolts from his hands. He seems to carry a cloak of flies wherever he goes and can use this pestilence to decay a place beyond recognition. Weapon and armour: Helm of Darkness (grants invisibility), Pitchfork (shatters anything it stabs into), Staff (can summon and banish souls). |

I'm still really stuck on what sort of tasks Lydia should have. Any suggestions? As for the gods, a part of me really wants to play Artemis but since my character is a daughter of her I think I should stay away and maybe do Poseidon. Hmm |

I am interested. I would like to claim Poseidon, but I don't know if he will try to save or destroy Olympus. Also, How will the gods interact with the demigods? will they be with them on their quests, or will they just send apparitions or will they just partake from a distance? |

Have any of you guys seen the new clash of the titans film? Because the interaction between half-gods and gods will be like, never fully direct except for a few rare occasions. After that, and if yall feel ready, I'll set up the IC ![]() I will try and set up the IC soon so we can get started

1st: I have not seen clash of the titans. However I have read the Percy Jackson series and many stories and myths of Greek origin. 2nd: so what will the main plot follow? The gods or the demi-gods? 3rd: If it follows the demi-gods, what will the gods do while the demi gods do their thing? |
