Rashio long ago it was only spirits, they knew nothing about their past, and nothing about other realms. They lived happily, surviving with each other, never dying always together.

Eventually 'Immortals' started arriving these were odd people who brought about words like, 'male' and 'conflict' and other worlds. These words were unknown to the Spirits, but yet the Immortals still spoke them. The very first Immortal even attempted to take over the realm, she wanted to rule and nothing was going to stop her especially with her new powers.
The spirits hadn't known danger, they never knew fighting but yet at this new danger many of them suddenly remembered things. They remembered how to fight and about powers they had before death.

The Immortal was killed and her body destroyed. She was then made into a statue which stands in the center of the great lake Geratu, a reminder and warning to all immortals.

When an Oni appeared the Spirits and even Immortals feared an attack, however the Oni asked for refuge and warned of another attack. The attack was thwarted before it even truly began. And after that the Oni woman was aloud to bring other Oni into the realm if she felt they wouldn't cause any major problems.

The final arrival was interesting, Goddesses. The first of which tried to cause mass mayhem be cause she was now trapped in this realm. She eventually stopped on her own after fighting an Oni. The next arrivals were slightly easier to calm with a few exceptions.
The Goddesses attempted to get others to worship them but it nearly never works out. The Spirits don't normally wish to change and worship something. Most of the Immortals see themselves even with the Gods so they don't bother. And the Oni and Goddesses appear to have a bad relationship already.

The goddess shrines are visited, however, because death was no longer unknown in Rashio, everyone from Spirits to Immortals could and probably have lost people, most mourned in private but a few chose the Goddesses shrines. The question of 'if this is the realm of the dead where does the dead from here go' has been raised many times, but never answered.

These last few millennia have been new for the Spirits, with fighting happening quite often.
Recently, just as things seemed to be calming down, an odd power has begun flowing through the land. Most guess it is a powerful being that has been granting all it passes over power. Others think it is an item much like the items the Immortals used to get into Rashio. There are also a few other odd ideas but in nearly all cases the assumption that getting the item could grant them even more power has been spurring on more and more people to find the item. Its not all that surprising that the bulk of the hope is that the power could get them home.

However the movements the power makes causes it to be hard to follow, and even those who are where the power currently is can't find anything before the power moves again.

The power currently rests on the lone mountain to the north and chances are it wont be long before it moves again.

A light rustling of leaves in distance. Thats all that could be heard, as the sun shone down through the dead branches, dappling the light eerily on the ground. The ground which should have been covered in grasses and bushes. But, for some reason, wasn't. Besides the very slight light on the ground, it was overall fairly dark. The branches didn't let much light through, after all.

Despite the lack of light, one creature was examining the dead trees. It was a female kitsune. She wasn't covered in fur, save for her ears, tail, and feet, which resembled paws. The tips of her wolfish ears were gray, fading from the white that covered most of her ears. The same was true for the tip of her three-foot long fox tail. As for her feet, it faded from white fur, to gray fur, to no fur, as you went upwards, the fur stopping at a little past her ankle. However, the hairs on the rest of her body made it seem as if she were a pure white from head to toe. Her eyes were a striking, fairly dark, gray.

She was wearing a long-sleeved, crimson, v-neck. Under which, was a dark gray tank, effectively covering much of what the v-neck would have exposed. In the way of pants, she was wearing a pair of cream-colored jeans, currently dusted in dirt. There was a There was nothing on her feet.

Around her waist, there was a black belt, that held not only two pouches of herbs she had traded for, but six throwing knives, and two closer-combat daggers. She still wasn't very good with the latter. On her back was a simple, tan, rucksack. It had two side pockets, a smaller section on the front, and, under a double-buckled flap, the main section. Practically everything she owned was in there, from a traveling blanket, to her food and trade able items.

The 20 or so kitsune woman stood around 5"8. Well, she would have been if she were standing. At the moment, she had one knee on the ground, and one bent so she get up quickly if needed, fingering the dried-out earth.

"huh..." Malandra murmured, letting some soil fall through her fingers. She had been to this area not a week before, and it had been green and fertile. But now...something had obviously happened.

Malandra looked around. The entire dead expanse was around 21 feet in diameter. What was worse, though, was that she couldn't tell what had caused this. The forest had just suddenly cut off, and then there was this. Smack in the middle of one of the forest areas of Rashio.

A slight sigh escaped her lips. She had been examining the site for hours, and she hadn't come up with a single thing. With a small huff, she turned away from the deadened area, walking back under the canopy of thick foliage.

Malandra's tail lifted itself slightly off the ground, twitching slightly as her ears perked up at the slightest noise. All she heard was the sound of a slight breeze around her. She took a deep breath of the fresh air, feeling much better as she walked away from the dead area.

In fact, she wanted to be farther away from it than she already was. Something about that place had...felt wrong. Just wrong. As an animal (or part animal) her instincts were less inhibited than a normal human's. And she really didn't like that place. At all.

Before she realized it, Malandra was running. Sprinting, really, through the forest. She jumped, swerved around, and dodged logs, branches, and trees. Soon, she was a good half-mile away from the dead area. Stopping to catch her breath, she examined her surroundings. She really should have looked where she was going.

A sound caught Malandra's attention. Her ears perked up, straining to catch whatever was making the noise. She moved toward the noise, and she soon realized that it was water.

Within no more than five minutes, she had discovered a small, clear, stream. Farther down the bank, she saw some animals drinking from it, meaning it was safe for her to drink as well. She filled her two water-skins, before cupping her hands and beginning to drink from the clear, pure water.

Alexstrasza Cyen sat alone in her 'home'. The room was a large cave in a small rock formation away from civilization. The walls were lit by several torches, these torches brightened the parts of the cave that the sun or moon light didn't. There was a bed at the opposite wall as the entrance, it was wooden, but had wool lining so it was at least fairly comfortable. A stone table sat toward the middle of the room, with four pillows on the floor around it marking the seats. Beyond that the cave was fairly empty, with only a small area used for storing food.

Sitting toward the middle of the room was a Satori demon, she had her primary eyes closed, but her third eye was open, looking into a portal in front of her. The portal showed a cave wall, so to others it would look like it failed, but to her it was showing her her realm, and her eye was looking over the realm for any she should bring out of the realm into this 'paradise'.
Alex was the first Oni to enter Rashio, and since then she had been taking 'good' demons and bringing them into this realm. There have been demons that found their way into this realm that she didn't bring in, but in most cases she was the one to bring them here.

She chose to live away from civilization for one reason, her third eye picks up a lot of thoughts, and these thoughts cause pain if not blocked. She didn't like blocking her eye, it wasn't as painful as the thoughts, but it was awkward, like ignoring something that makes you what you are.

However Alex found she couldn't focus, ever since that power appeared it was hard to focus, and each day the thing seemed to be getting stronger thus she was having an even harder time trying to focus.

Outside her cave there was a mass of trees, the end of a forest, it was there she hunted her food, or got the wood for the torches. If she required other things she would go into town. Currently she was thinking it would be best to go to town to try and find the power, at least then she would be able to focus.

A sigh came from her as she closed her eyes even tighter, attempting to force her mind to stay on task.

Ketsika's mind was blank. She sat in the lotus position in complete darkess as she was meditating. She had been like this for close to nine thousand years. During this time she never moved never slept and never ate. This was the closest she had ever been to achieving tranqulity. Suddenly her eye lids fluttered as a magical presence passed over head. This was strange indeed nothing had ever broken her out her trance this was a strong being indeed. Her stomach grumbled loudly as her eye lids fluttered open. It seemed it was now time for her to leave her cave. Over the millenia her eyes had grown accustomed to the darkness and she was able to see everything around her as if this were an open field with the sun high above. She unfolded her legs and was pleasantly surprised to find that her legs were neither stiff or sore. She grabbed the weapons around her but left the staff on the ground. She placed the weapons at her hips stood up and kicked her staff into the air and snatched it from the air. She turned around to the boulder placed in front of the entrance. She leaned the staff against the wall and kicked the boulder. As the boulder began to roll out of the way and the light began to flood the cave she remembered something from a very long time ago.

~Flashback~

"Men today we have victory" Ketsika roared as he thrust the treasured armour over head. His men cheered as he put on the armour. Then there was nothing it was pitch black with naught a sound to be heard. Suddenly he was blinded as light flooded in from all sides. As his eyes grew accustomed he looked down at himself and knew hatred. In his society women were nothing and now he had become one himself. He roared as he swung his staff around in a big arc knocking many people down. He was then rushed by several warriors that he quickly dispatched them with blows to the head. He roared as dozens fell around him. He soon became exhausted and fell to the ground and everything went black again.

~End flashback~

A frown appeared on her face as the memory began to fade. What had made her think of that she wondered. It had been 25,000 years ago that had happened and she thought it was completely in her past now. Maybe you really could never live down your past and it would haunt you until the day you died. Perhaps there would be a way that she could atone for her mistakes, but standing here she could not. Her mind began to wander as she started to walk down the mountain path which was unusual for her. First she thought about the entity that had entered her mind, then it returned to her home and how her family had done after she left, and finally it settled on food. The reason food came up was a loud rumble from her stomach and the rushing from a nearby stream. Turning a bend in the path she came acros the stream and upon examining the animals drinking water from it and the fish in the water she began to thrust her hands in the water in an attempt to catch a fish.

~Silence filled the room, not even a whisper could be heard. A young boy with blonde hair sat impatiently on the edge of the bright orange bed. Suddenly, and quite without sound, a young woman, appearing to be the same age, appeared in front of him. He gave her a smile as he spoke, "About time, Locyna." he laughed quietly, not wanting to alert anyone to her presence. She glared at him with pretend anger, and pushed his shoulder back. "You're very impatient today, Aaron. Maybe i should just go home." she joked before laying down on the bed, gesturing for the young man to join her. Laying beside her, he couldn't help but smile. This was where he belonged. When he was with the dark-haired Fae, everything was perfect.

Aaron propped himself up on his arm, half leaning over Locyna. "I missed you." was all he said in reply. He then kissed her softly. Unlike their first kiss, he didn't flinch. He was long since used to the slightly bitter feeling of kissing her. A slight twinge of sadness did enter his eyes, however. It was just another reminder that what they were doing was forbidden. Shaking the feeling, he leaned in for another kiss, happy to have the Dark Fae with him, even if it was only for a short time. ~

A young girl stood, shaking her head as if to clear some unwanted thought, her cheeks a bright pink color. She had, like always, fallen asleep in one of her favorite trees. And, like always, the dreams had come. She had no idea what they meant, or why she had them. All she knew was that, each time, they were getting more puzzling. Usually, she just woke up confused, but this time, there was a slight touch of embarrassment as well. Who could blame her after what she had just dreampt. Trying to push the dreams from her mind, she stood, and jumped down from the tree.

With a soft smile, Erin walked through the forest, a small ball of fire floating along in front of her. She had a lollypop in her mouth, which accounted for the smile. She was simply enjoying the day, not having a worry in the world, her dream long since forgotten. As if commanded by an invisible being, she suddenly began to run, spinning and twirling about as she did. After a short time, she stopped in her tracks. Instead of the forest that she had been running through, she found herself staring directly at a barren stretch of land, scorched and dead. Feeling sick to her stomach, her fireball faded away to nothing in front of her. She didn't know exactly why, maybe it was just her connection to the Earth, but the disaster in front of her sickened her.

Taking a few steps forward, she looked with sad eyes at the destroyed earth. Reaching down, she touched the remains of a flower, and willed her power through it in an attempt to revive it. To her dismay, it had no effect. She then ran off, trying to put as much distance between her and the cursed ground as she could.
I'll whisper in your ear,
You are mine, and you will never have to be alone.
And when I pull you near,
You'll know I love you like I never loved anyone.
So let me be the one to lift you up,
I'll carry you home.
'Cause now I'm here to keep you safe,
And to catch you when you fall.

There were six of them--all large, powerfully-built men armed with axes, swords, bows, and arrows. Highwaymen, bandits, petty thieves and murderers banding together in hopes of making a bit of money by threatening passersby on this lonely little road. With six fully armed bandits who looked powerful enough to lop a tree in half with a single axe stroke, most people who came by here, mostly traders or merchants, quickly gave up their gold to save their skins. Or at least, so it had been, in the past, when there had been grass growing on the plains and fruit and leaves growing from the trees. Now the plains were blackened and burnt, the trees standing stark and naked like pitiful reminders of the tall, proud, green majesties they had once been. No one passed through here anymore--the bandits had not eaten well in days. It was thus a surprise and a joy when they had seen her. A lone woman, a spirit perhaps, walking down the path. When they approached, they made out the details of her appearance--the long silver hair pinned back in a ponytail, the skin, dark grey, like the eve of battle--the eyes, glaring constantly, never ceasing their vigil. She wore the armour of a warlord, and a sword was at her side.

One of the bandits expressed reluctance at attacking this one--she didn't seem at all like she would just give up her gold like those cowardly traders. The highwaymen merely laughed away his concerns--"Six strong men against a women of slight height and build, and you worry yourself over that? If you want to chicken out, go ahead--we'll take your share." The man quieted immediately and went along. An unfortunate idea.

"Hello, fair lady," the leader called out as he and his gang approached the woman. She hardly even twitched in his direction, but merely continued walking on her way. He looked at his companions, and then they jogged towards her until they stood directly before her path. She was taller up close than she had appeared from afar--taller, in fact, than most men. Her cold black eyes met those of the leader of the bandits, and then she spoke.

"Get out of my way, filth."

An aristocrat... The bandit leader thought from her condescending tone and choice of words. "Here now, you look like a mighty fine lady, but..." Before he could finish and demand gold on pain of death, the back of the woman's hand, enclosed in a gauntlet and glove, had raised and then struck across his face in a split second--no, less. There was the sound of a snap, and the bandit leader collapsed, his neck bent at a sickening and awkward angle.

Without thinking, the other men drew their weapons, determined still that they could use numbers against her. All at once they fell upon her, in vain. There was the sound of a sword being drawn, and then all five felt the sensation of a sword passing through them as if they were little more than air. The sword the woman had unsheathed appeared not to have touched them at all--there was not a hint of blood across its dull grey surface. And yet now they lay--four of them dead already, the fifth clutching at the mortal wound that had spread across his entire chest and stomach.

The woman strode towards him, and in a single fluid movement swooped down and grabbed him by the throat, holding him up in the air, where he wriggled helplessly. His terrified eyes scanned her face--who was this woman--what was this woman?

"This is why petty highwaymen should not attempt to accost a goddess of war," Leliel said, her dark lips pulled back in a sneer as her metal-clad fingers clamped all the harder around the man's throat. He sputtered, his eyes widened even further, and then he gave a last, croaking breath before he too joined his comrades.

"...scum," Leliel threw the man aside without a care before turning again to continue on her way. She had no mercy for those who preyed upon the weak and defenceless.

It has been almost four years since the power first truly appeared, however it is difficult to tell if the power started in this world or if it came from another. It did not help that nobody has seen what the power is, all they know is that it is in constant motion.
High atop the lone northern mountain, perched on a wooden branch an eagle sat, staring across the land. It watched as specks moved around way below, walking along paths, entering villages. Granted the height made it hard to see a lot as the clouds started to get in the way, but it was still possible to see quite a bit. Gradually the branch bent and cracked as the eagles body changed, growing. Within moment the bird turned into a bear, landing on its back and seemingly laughing as it slid down the mountain, changing into a falcon just before hitting the rocks, where it proceeded to fly around the mountain.
This was the power, a shapeshifter, however even with simple changing abilities someone would have found it by now. The power is more than just a shapeshifter, if someone were to look toward where it was, and it did not want to be seen, then they would not see it.

As the power flew around the mountain it took note of everything around it, until it came to see the burnt forest. Slowly it flew down until it landed on a lower part of the mountain, its eyes going over the land. The burnt land had been there for days, it caught the powers attention a few times. About a week ago the power had watched it burn, and watched as the fires slowly died out, and each time it passed it could watch as nothing changed.
This was moderately confusing, generally things grew or changed when it was near, it hadn't quite clicked that everything grew so fast because it was near.

Ripples. They traveled across the surface of the water, causing Malandra to draw back with a small start. At first, she had thought that is was she who had caused the small undulations in the water, but soon, when they did not die down, she knew it was someone else.

Slowly, making sure not to draw much attention to herself, she drew back into the slightly denser foliage. She kept glancing behind her, making sure to keep from stepping on a branch, but also to know she wasn't backing into someone, or something, dangerous.

Her ears strained, twitching, and her tail moved slowly through the air, keeping her balance precise. From the river, she could hear a splashing a tad louder than what a loud animal would make while getting a drink. Like someone splashing around in the water. That could be it, an animal, or perhaps a young animal playing?

The more Malandra thought about it, the less worried she became. In fact, she became curious what kind of animal was playing in the river, without any joyful yips, growls, or other animal sounds.

No longer trying to hide her presence, she walked from the denser foliage, and looked left and right. Trying, so far without success, to scan the stream for the playing animals that frolicked about her mind's eye.

The ice cold water on Ketsikas dry tounge felt delightful after milenia of going with out food or water. At this time she didnt care that it was just plain river water it tasted as if it were the sweetest berry in the world and she could not get enough. With her hands half way to the water she heard a slight ruslting or grass and the crack of a dried leaf. Normal ears would not have heard anything close to the small noise with out being right on top of it. Ketsikas senses were not normal after all she had spent the past 25 milenia locked in a cave meditating and training her senses.
Slowly dipping her hands back into the water as the disturbance went away she drew the water to her mouth. That was when she heard a louder disturbance. On that a person would make if they were not trying to be overly careful. Carefully slipping the water back into the stream she backed into the shade of a tree and into a small cluster of leather leaf. Quickly but quietly she made her way through the trees. Her movements were not even registered by her keen senses and she was the one making them so she should be able to come up on her intruder unaware. As she slipped up a tree into densly packed branches she peered down at the stream and her eyes met a Kitsune womans back. She appeared to be unarmed so surely there should be no danger from her. Longing on the branch making sure not to make a noise she sat and watched the Kitsune to see what she would do.

Alexstrasza Cyen
Interaction: Erin

Alex had attempted her hardest to focus, and it was no longer working. She gave an audible groan before standing and moving toward the enterance of her cave. Stepping outside she let the warmth of what little sun got through the trees and hit her body.
Casually she walked into the forest, going in the general direction of a town. If she could figure out what this power was, or even where its current location was, she could probably find it and figure out why it was causing her to lose so much focus.
Her eye scared what wildlife was within the forest, it just unsettled living things as it probed their mind. Well the term living may be too much for this place as the animals of this realm are spirits just like the original owners, at the same time the demons and gods and humanoid spirits didn't realy seem as freaked out, even though they should be so perhaps it was just 'animal instinct'.
In any case generally Alex would never have encountered anything during her walks except while hunting. But her attention snapped toward her right when she felt something. Turning she held out her arms just in time to stop a running woman.

She sighed some as she stopped the woman before moving back. The woman had longer blond hair, tied with a ribbon. She had a no sleeved shirt with arm warmers acting as the sleeves.
Quickly Alex' third eye glazed over as she weakened it, it was still active, but it wouldn't read the womans mind. "Hi." She said with a smile, "Is there a reason your running?" Now that question could be answered quickly through a search of the womans mind, just like just about every other question she would have, but she found people generally didn't like it if she just randomly started scanning their mind…they generally got violent.

NPC God(dess) of Death
Interaction: Leliel

As Leliel started to continue walking along she would notice that not far in front of her stood a six foot eight inch tall figure with a long black coat. The womans hair was long, blond, and wavy, with her eyes lifeless and grey. There was nothing about this woman that would have been peculiar, nothing except the sword on her back…or the scythe…no wait it was a dirk now.
The blade was a peculiar thing that was always changing form except when wielded by the first agent of death, the original god of the end.

Death and War are two who would have known about each other greatly. After all War can not exist without Death. Though the pair would have met before, their past, wether they were friends, or enemies, is constantly in debate.

"Quite a change." The woman stated, before turning to walk beside the former goddess of war, "Though a change from 'calm and collected' to 'killer of thugs' really isn't all bad of a change...least not in my book."

Leliel turned her cold stone eyes briefly at the sound of someone approaching, but knew already that it was not another one of these pathetic thugs, nor any such human. Indeed, the figure that stood there was quite familiar--it stood several inches above the 6'2 tall Leliel, but the goddess of war knew that size was by no means an indication of power--and to do battle with that assumption could and would be deadly.

But of course, the goddess of death was not here to do battle. Leliel's relationship with the goddess of death was often changing--at times comrades, at other times they had been mortal enemies, but in the time since Leliel had been cast from her reign as the lord of war and battle, the goddess of death had scarcely seen Leliel.

"I'll go back to 'calm and collected' once that Daēva's broken, defeated body lies before me," Leliel replied with a sneer. "But she's a coward...constantly running. I was fighting mercifully when she defeated me. She knows I won't be so lenient this time."

Malandra was still looking around for the animals she had thought about previously. However, after a few minutes and a lot of nothing, doubt began to creep it's way into her consciousness.

If they had fled, then she would have heard them, wouldn't she of? Unless it was a smaller animal, but then it wouldn't have made as much noise as it did. But then again, her ears were sensitive, so maybe they had just amplified the sounds? No...she knew sounds of animals.

Not to mention that she hadn't heard any yipping, chirping, or any other animal noises. "huh" she murmured to herself, as she realized that, most likely, it was another less-animal inhabitant of Rashio. But she hadn't heard any retreating footsteps...

Her eyes began to dart around the area, while she remained in her relaxed pose, and bent down to get a drink of water. There was no-one around...she could tell that much. No-one in the trees on the other side of the creek. Meaning...behind her.

Quickly, upon realizing this, Malandra whirred around, looking up at the tree-line. It took her a moment to spot the person, but she was definitely in the trees. All that had tipped her off, in fact, was a little spot of clearing, between a few leaves, that wasn't the right color.

"who are you?" Malandra asked coldly, getting into a light fighting stance, "and why hide?"

After years of running back in her own world, she was still extremely suspicious, even after so long in Rashio. Old habits die hard, as they say.

Erin was trying to put as much distance as she could between herself and the destruction when she was stopped by an arm thrown in front of her. Stopping abruptly, she half-fell before catching herself with a small piece of land. She looked up at the person who had stopped her, just in time to hear the question. "Actually. There is." Erin said, her voice filled with her sadness. "Part of the forest back that way has been charred to bits!" She gestured to where she was running from. While the burning of a bit of forest may not seem like such a big deal to most, to the former-fae, it was a serious crime. She simply couldn't understand how someone could ever do that to the earth. She realized how pathetic she sounded, but she just couldn't help it. "The earth did nothing, and they just destroyed it."

((sorry its so short...))

Death grinned as she heard Leliel speak fo wanting to see the Daevas broken body. "Well. Considering I am here, and she is probably not in this realm, I guess I wont be helping you with that. And your goal will be unattainable. Or do you have a plan to escape this realm to fulfill your revenge?" A grin spread across the woman's lips before she shrugged, "Not my problem. Though you can feel the power too, ever growing. Tell me…who would win should it ever decide to attack you? Then again it has no reason to do that, surely you never hurt it."

Death's strange run-around speech on the power ended with a sudden switch to a completely different topic. "So do you plan on just roaming around, killing enough and hoping that eventually your Daeva will be banished here?"

Alex looked toward the woman in confusion as she thought about the forest that direction. "Oh yes. The forest fire. You've probably not been here long. Unfortunately fires around here are very hard to put out. One stray bolt of lightning hitting a tree and a spark can create a disaster." Alex didn't know what had started the fire, but she could guess it was the storm that night.
Carefully she turned the woman and started guiding her toward the town. "While it is unfortunate that so much of the forest burned, the only option was for rain to put it out."
She continued walking, using her third eye to focus out some at other areas, this was nothing sneaks up on them.

"My name is Alexstrasza Cyen." She stated calmly, "I more or less live in this forest…well technically a cave in the forest, but still thats in the forest so my statement stands."
