Drago Casatte Panicking slightly, (he really wasn't good at fighting) Drago half hid himself behind Lin. "Great...a fight" he whispered, half to himself. He knew that it would be a good show, and there would probably be something he could write about from it, but there was no doubt that the young skald really hated fighting. He wasn't any good, and felt that he was more of a liability then an asset in those types of situations. After watching for a moment, he picked up his lyre, and played a fast-paced tune to the battle, the instrument's music blending with the sounds of the fight in an interesting melody. ((sooooooooo sorry!! i've been really busy!)) |

I'll whisper in your ear, You are mine, and you will never have to be alone. And when I pull you near, You'll know I love you like I never loved anyone. So let me be the one to lift you up, I'll carry you home. 'Cause now I'm here to keep you safe, And to catch you when you fall. | |

Adantiella Encarta The situation still seemed very much in their favour, though the girl couldn't help but think that the odds could be tipped even further. The sun was still shining, no clouds present other than the one the Merc's Ship had glided in with. As the angry old men began to pursue the First Mate, Adantiella was quick to answer his plea for assistance. Leaping up on top of the Crow's Nest railing, she balanced herself gracefully against the wind. "Shadow Strings!" She cried out, clapping her hands together. Suddenly, the mercenary closest to Adrian found himself unable to move from the place he stood. To him, it would've felt as though his bare feet were stitched to the floor. "Hey, What the?!" He shouted, looking down in hopes that he'd find some answer. Unfortunately, he wasn't going to like it. His shadow seemed distorted in some way, still pinned to his body, but stretched out and pointed in the wrong direction; towards the opposing ship. "What is this?!" He began to shout. A laugh resonated across the ships, cutting him off and almost in perfect unison with the Skald's tunes. "You're mine!" giggled Adantiella. With a circular flick of her finger, the Mercanary was flat on his back with quite the look of surprise on his face. Drawing a circle with her hand, the girl raised her arm quickly. The old freelancer made one full rotation on the airship's deck, before being thrown into the air by what was supposedly an unseen force. "Piercing Darkness!" came yet another disturbingly calm cry, followed by an equally disturbing sight. The man's shadow, still firmly on the deck, shifted shape until it made the perfect circle. Suddenly, the form turned completely black - as though it were a pool of oil. And then, out of nowhere a black tendril shot upwards towards the Mercenary, like a thin and incredibly sharp tentacle. It impaled the man in a clean motion, before throwing him back down on the deck. The shadow returned to it's own and the black spear dissolved into nothingness. Many of the others were wide-eyed with shock, but nonetheless held their ground against Adrian. Adantiella sighed. "Looks like our work is far from over..." Edited by Blue, March 31, 2011, 7:47 am.

Kaline Heathrow was the picture of calm as she sailed through the sky. The sky was her home here all her worries faded away. With her trusty air board at her side and her skill of manipulating the weather and wind she could go any where. Today she just wanted to get away to be a famous record holding athlete meant that she constantly had fans and paparazi surrounding her. At first she held such glee at her name being a household name. Wind Riding had taken hold of the port cities a mere decade after they had taken to the skies and it had become the biggest sport humanity had ever known. There was literally no one who had never dreamed about being one of the riders. At least that's how she saw it. With a sigh of content Kal leaned back on her board letting the wind steer her. With not a cloud in the sky Kal begin to drift off to sleep letting the warmth of the sun soak into her tanned skin. What seemed like minutes later Kal woke up to the smell of smoke. Quickly leaping to her feet she stared down in horror as the solar thrusters were ablaze. Her board was old and they were prone to overheating when used for long periods of time. She had only meant to be gone an hour just a quarter of the time that it took for her board to overheat. It seemed her nap had been much longer then intended. Her only hope was the cloud in front of her. At this distance it looked to be a Class A if it were a smidge bigger it could grow to be a Class B. Her powers had given her an interest in clouds and she had spent most of her free time learning about them. Directing flows of air and water toward the cloud it began to rapidly expan and writhe. Heat lightning began to flash near two ships a few bolts landing in a large semicircle of men flinging them about like rag dolls. As her face turned back to the cloud for the second time today her face was a picture of utter horror. The small Class A cloud had grown into a Class D and was still expanding. Sheets of hail and rain began to pour down from the cloud pummeling both the ships and Kal. With the fire extinguished she quickly steered her board towards the ship that hadn't been struck and for the third time today as it was to late to stop a horror was painted on her face as she seen the ships Jolly Roger. As her board crash landed she quickly rolled landing on her feet she quickly unholstered her colts and pointed them and what she assumed was the captain. Surely the captain of a pirate ship would own a revolver she thought to her self. |

Kusabana grinned when Adrian asked for some assitance. The captain was going to enjoy this. What type of animal should these mercenaries face, today? A mountain lion or a wolf? Maybe she could be really sneaky and transform into a black widow spider. A few of them would easily die from poison before the others start to notice. Oh, the pleasure that the captain takes from transforming into animals. If only the human skeletion can manage that type of technique. It would make it a lot easier and less painful. When Kusabana was about to get on all-fours, she noticed something strange was going on. The weather seemed to have been oddly changed. There were poofs of smoke in the air. A cloud above expanded and shot bolts of lightning at the merchant's mercenaires. A cloud above started to expand more. Then, hail and rain started to pour. This might be the work of a type of magic that Kusabana had never seen before. Though, who was the one pulling the strings? Suddenly, a girl came crashing down on a sky borad. Kusabna just stared at the girl as she did a roll landing, and pointed her colt revolvers at the captain. It seemed that the Heavens were bringing more than just gold and action to these sky pirates. "You really should put those guns away. They could hurt someone." Kusabana said. "I would love to chat with you some more, but my crew and I are kind of busy at the moment. You can join in on the action if you want. Just don't expect any money for your generous help. We claimed this ship, first." Instead of waiting for a reponse, the captain shapeshifted into a tarantula. She quickly scurried arcoss the ship, doing her best to keep herself hiden from the brutes. When she got to the closest one near her, she crawled up his leg and bit him. He also crushed her with his fat hand, but the captain managed to jump away in time. After a few minutes, the mercenary started to sweat and feel rather sickly. He took a few steps away, trying to return to his side of the ship for first-aid. Though, that was a waste of his last seconds in the sky. He dropped dead from posion. |
