Allen glanced over his shoulder as he walked out of his apartment. No, he didn’t exactly live in the best part of town. Of course, in Las Vegas, it was hard to define a “good” part of town. Everywhere you went, there was gambling, drugs, prostitutes, thugs, and a variety of fairly hazardous things. Though yes, there were certainly the nice hotels and high end housing complexes, most of the city wasn’t exactly the place for a teenager to grow up. Allen knew that. His parents knew that. Yet they were still here. Still in this little thrill ride known as Las Vegas. The area of the city he lived in was just a bit better than some, fortunately.

Allen began to walk down the street on his way to school, as he always did. As a senior in high school, most would have figured he’d have a car by this point, or at the very least, take the bus. However, he and his family were fairly new arrivals to the city, and because they moved around so much, his parents didn’t want to spend the money on something that would just be a burden to drag halfway across the country every time they moved. It was probably for the best, of course. The last think Allen wanted to do was sit in a car on a trip from DC to Las Vegas.

The young man brushed some of his light brown hair from his face as the wind gusted in his face. It was windy this time of year. Enough so that even though it was sunny, he still felt the need to wear a jacket just to cut down on the bite of the wind. He was wearing a black and red jacket, black pants, and black and red shoes. Some might have thought that he was in some sort of jogging outfit, though it was a bit nicer than that. He probably shouldn’t wear something that looked so nice. He knew it. However, it was just his style. He didn’t like much else.

Allen turned a corner, walking past an alleyway. He glanced down it, noticing a few guys who looked like they were trouble. He kept walking, not wanting to get into trouble today. However, they had other ideas. “HEY!” one of them called, running out onto the sidewalk. Allen didn’t stop. It was a bad idea. A rough hand gripped his shoulder, twirling him around. Allen’s eyes shot open, looking at the man in the eyes. He looked a bit drunk. “Give me your money, punk.” the man said, gruffly. Two big guys walked up beside the guy gripping Allen’s shoulder.

Allen gulped, looking at the two big guys nervously. “Alright. Well, you see, I don’t have anything on me. Just my-” Allen was cut short when the guy shook him. “I said give me your money!” the guy barked angrily. In that instant, however, Allen leaned over slightly, the guy’s hand just leaving his shoulder. Half a second later, Allen was sprinting down the street. The men took chase, Allen ahead by nearly ten feet. He was doing his best to keep up, though he wasn’t keeping ahead by much.

The kid turned a corner, running down a different street. It wasn’t on his way to school, but it was all he could do to shake the men. It didn’t work. They stayed on his tail. Allen skidded, turning into an alleyway. There was a fence not too far inside the space between the buildings, but at this point, it was his only option. He sprinted towards the fence, preparing to leap. I can do this. Even though I’ve never even gotten close to doing anything like this before, I can- Allen’s thought was cut short when his foot slipped on something round. He fell backwards, landing on his back, hard.

“Damn… it….” Allen cursed, feeling to see what he had tripped on. He pulled it out from under him, examining it. It was… a bottle of pepper spray? What was that doing just laying around? However, at about that time, the men came rushing around the corner. Allen did his best to jump to his feet. He managed to get to his knees. “Good enough….” Allen said, aiming the bottle at his enemies. However, when he pressed the button, the spray shot at his face.

Her eyes were closed, legs folded over one another, and body suspended upside down in the air over a mountain of purple, plush cushions. Folly had a small smile on her painted black and white face as she hummed to herself the melody to an 80's song she'd gotten from her latest master. Heck, Folly was certain that the CD was tucked somewhere within her rat hole of a home. What was it... Guns and Roses? Yeah, that was it. Folly snapped a finger and in a small puff of purple smoke, headphones appeared with a CD player and the CD of Guns and Roses movin' round and round within it's confines. She was content in her solitude, jamming away to decades old music in an outdated music player and no awareness of the outside world. That is, until she was suddenly thrown against the inner wall of her cozy abode.

"What the?!" Folly yelped as she continued to tumble around. Was her house... rolling? Someone had to be playing a joke. Folly growled under her breath and tried to remain somewhat stable until finally her comfy cushions and furniture settled into place. "Now to figure out what caused that ruckus," Folly grumbled as she smoothed the ruffles of her black n' white stripped tutu and patted down her frazzled purple hair. All she had to do was wait... and, there was the sound of her pepper spray going off and sucking her back into the world of humans. Good grief.

As usual, Folly's entrance wasn't exactly graceful; it never was exactly. Her body was pulled through a tube and spit out the can, causing her to tumble right into the dummy that "pressed the button". She curled into a ball, tumbling over a smallish body until finally, and abruptly, coming to a stop. "Hah, that wasn't too bad," Folly admitted as she uncurled herself, only just realizing that what hadn't seemed bad was actually quite bad as she finally allowed herself to look down. She was sitting on someone's chest!

Folly smirked, placing her hands on her hips as she looked down at the odd specimen she was using as a cushion. Where had all the big hair and eyeliner of the 80s gone? Boy, was she out of touch.

"Now, why the heck would you be using a pepper-" Folly's remark was cut off by the sound of approaching feet. She glanced over her shoulder curiously and noticed a group of thugs facing them. "Oh," she blurted as it all clicked together. And there it was, the rise of pressure through her body, up to her throat... and out came the laughs. Oh, it was all so priceless! A male homosapien had actually used a pepper spray can, which was usually used by helpless females, in order to fend away evildoers! Folly just had to cherish the moment.

"Hey, weirdo, what are you laughing at?" One of the thugs growled. Oh, there always had to be one party pooper. Folly cut off her giggles and rolled her eyes, hopping off of the boy to face the other silly humans. She frowned playfully and twirled one of the bells on her Jester hat, allowing it to jingle.

“Me? Weird? You gotta be jesting me,” Folly said with a dismissive wave of the hand. Simultaneously, a brief but strong wind suddenly took over the alleyway and swept the thugs off their feet, causing them to fall on their backs with a loud thud.

Allen’s eyes quickly turned from the thugs to the bottle as he realized he was holding it the wrong way. He flinched, expecting a spray of that painful mist to come shooting into his eyes. However, something… odd… happened. Instead of pepper spray flying out into his face, a small, purple blob appeared. Within half a second, the little blob expanded into a full-blown girl in a strange purple jester’s outfit. The girl hit against Allen, his body getting blown back several feet, landing sprawled on his back. “OOF!” Allen exclaimed as he hit the ground. He clutched the bottle in his hand, staring up at the strange new woman. “What the hell was in that spray…?” Allen muttered, wondering if it was at all possible he was hallucinating.

Allen looked up at the jester. She looked kind of odd. She seemed to be fairly attractive, under the leotard and tutu, but the face paint seemed to be a bit much, as well as the hat. The girl looked down at him, laughing at how she it had been alright. She glanced over her shoulder, noticing the thugs as they stormed into the alleyway. She then started to do the one thing Allen wouldn’t have expected. She started laughing. Allen’s face turned red, not sure if it was from embarrassment or from something in that spray. He was too shocked and confused to understand what was going on.

The strange girl stood up, facing down the thugs, apparently unphased by the size of the men. It was as if she was looking down on them, as if they were nothing more than ants to her, which was weird, because all of them were at least a foot taller than her. She had this odd notion that she didn’t look unusual, which, to just about anyone on earth, would have been a laughable statement. However, Allen wasn’t exactly in a laughing mood. He pushed himself to a sitting position, slowly dragging himself to his feet. He shook his head, standing behind the unusual woman.

Allen’s eyes widened as a strong gust of wind swept through the alleyway, knocking all the thugs down. The wind shot past him, forcing him to take a few steps forward. His body ran into the girl’s, his arms accidentally sliding around the woman’s waist, gripping her tightly to hold himself up. He stayed there for a moment, looking over her shoulder at the guys who were currently on their backs. Allen was a bit confused as to if the wind had something to do with the woman, as she hadn’t even budged from the incredible wind, or if she just had a far better footing.

Allen looked down, noticing how he had her hands wrapped around the girl’s body. His arms shot off her, taking a step back. “Oh, oops! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to!” Allen exclaimed, waving his hands in a declining fashion. He stopped, his eyes slowly going over the girl’s body again. She was… certainly different. “So… what’s… your name…?” Allen looked around the strange girl at the thugs laying on the ground. “And… did you create that wind that knocked those guys down?” He asked.

Folly was amused by the groans that came from the thugs that were now basically pasted to the floor. She'd made sure of that. She clapped her hands, as if brushing the dust off of her palms though it had all been such a piece of cake. Really, what were thugs but humans with baggy, ridiculous pants and an ego the size of Folly's hair? It was pretty pathetic and hysterical. She was a bit cooped up in her little fantasies about making a thug sandwich when she realized that there was an odd presence around her waist.

"Aw, jeez. It just had to be this kind of person, didn't it?" Folly complained as she prepared to zap the male's arms off of her body. Though, before she could give him a rude awakening, he'd let go himself. Good. He knew what was good for him because Genie knew that she was not that kind of genie or woman for that matter, no how. Even if she did have to call this dude Master. Oh, jeez... the horror.

Folly gave the thugs one last glance before waving her hand once more, causing them to blow away with the wind and off in some other direction. She had no clue where they would land, though she hoped it was somewhere hard and lethal. Hmm, maybe a cliff.

"You are pretty direct aren't you, pee-" Folly started before the inevitable shutting of the mouth started. It was like a zipper had been yanked across her mouth, causing her insult to be muffled behind closed lips. The tradition of it all was such a tiring process. Finally, stubborn Folly gave in. "Master! Jeez, luise," Folly grumbled as her lips automatically became functional. She rubbed her jaw, rolling her eyes at the boy, and answered him begrudgingly.

"My name is Folly and yes I caused that. Why? Because I'm your genie, direct from a pepper spray can. Lamps became outdated centuries ago so yeah," Folly jabbered on with little interest, waving her hand around and causing a little tornado of air around her wrist out of boredom. "So, how do ya feel now that you know that almost all your dreams can come true? Amazing isn't it? Yeah, totally."

The woman in front of Allen seemed to be mildly upset about how he had accidentally touched her. She didn’t seem to be fullblown enraged about it, but nevertheless, was far from ok with the situation. However, she seemed content with launching the thugs very far out of the way. Allen tilted to the side, looking around the girl as the punks were sent hurtling far away. Allen whistled, having never seen anything quite like that. Sure, he’d seen it in movies, but not with his own eyes. It was pretty impressive. Incredibly hard to believe, but impressive…. What the hell was in that gas?

The girl finally turned to address him properly. She began by attempting to say something to him, if Allen had to guess, it was along the lines of ‘pervert’, but about midway through the sentence, the woman’s lips locked up. Though she continued to try and speak, she couldn’t manage to get anything out for a few moments. Allen raised his eyebrow, not entirely sure what was going on. “Looks like you might need to get that thing checked out….” Allen said, attempting to make light of the situation. He was a bit tenser than he would like to admit, though.

The woman then began to say something odd. She started by calling Allen master. Allen leaned back, eying the girl suspiciously. “Now what the heck are you talking about…?” Allen asked. She continued, explaining that her name was Folly, and that she was a genie who lived in the pepper spray can. That, of course, was unbelievable. Though sure, it kind of fit all the mythology, Allen wasn’t one of those people who believed everything he was told, especially something so ludicrous. “Now I don’t believe that.” Allen said, crossing his arms, looking the girl up and down.

Allen looked the girl in the eye, leaning towards her slightly, a slightly cocky look in his eye. “Now how do I know that this isn’t some sort of practical joke? Those thugs could have been on some wires, you could be an actor, and….” Allen watched as Folly created a little whirlwind in the palm of her hand. “That could be just some holo projection. You gotta admit, you can’t possibly expect anyone to believe this.” Allen paused, tapping his foot as he pondered what to do. “If you’re really a genie, why don’t you prove it, Folly, if that is your real name.” Allen said, a slight tone of arrogance in his voice, mostly because he ‘knew’ she couldn’t do it.

Folly hated this part of the whole ordeal. It seemed every time she introduced herself to her master, they'd say something as stupid as "Nuh-uh! Du~de!" or just flat out not believe her. Sometimes, she wondered what she had done in a past life to deserve so many centuries of pain. It was truly some serious torture she was placed under any time someone decided to summon her from her homey abode.

Folly sighed heavily, crossing her arms defiantly as the boy scanned her over. What was she, an alien?! She frowned, glancing down at herself. What was so wrong with her outfit, or her face? Last time she checked face paint was all the rage. Times sure had changed since the last few decades. Say, what year was it anyway? "Hey, y-Master. What year is it? Everything's so different," Folly grumbled, scratching her head slowly as she glanced around her for the first time. There was weird doodles on the walls. Ah, graffiti! At least, that's what she thought it was called. So many new things, so many new things.

When the boy started to interrogate and doubt her, Folly really started to get annoyed. Wasn't her entrance good enough for this person? Yeesh, even if she'd gone on a 400 year diet, she would not have been skinny enough to pop through the small opening of a pepper spray can so easily. He was obviously in complete denial; A denial that irritated Folly to her soul. It was like the first time every time. She really should have a write up of what to do every time she got a new master, since it hardly ever varied from what the boy was saying now.

Her face got red when the boy doubted her name. Of all things! She loved her name and here this miniscule human was implying that it couldn't be a real name! He had the nerve. "Oh, I'll prove it all right," Folly said with a growing smirk as she rubbed her hands together. This one would get a real treat. With a snap of her finger, a sound of jingling bells hovered in the air, along with a small poof of purple smoke before finally disappearing and leaving the boy only a few inches tall. Folly placed her hands on her knees and peered down at her 'Master'. She reached down and plucked him up by the back of his jacket, holding him up on eye level.

"You were saying, short stuff?" Folly teased, swinging him lazily from side to side just to taunt him further.

Allen could tell right away that Folly was quickly getting agitated by his remarks. It seemed odd to him that someone would be upset if they were just pulling a big old stunt on him. “I’m probably just on one of those game shows where they prank people. She’s just mad that I’m not falling for the little stunt so she won’t get paid as much.” Allen muttered, pretty sure that the woman wouldn’t hear him. It would probably have ticked her off more if she had heard him say it out loud. Of course, she didn’t give up on the ‘act’ just yet. She probably needed to see if he would buy it.

The girl asked an odd question, though when he thought about it, it fit right into the scene quite well. “The year’s 2010. You’re doing such a wonderful job of acting, of course.” Allen smirked. He was pretty sure that she would have to give up on it eventually. After all, there were only so many ways that they could have planned to try and trick him on a game show. It wasn’t like they could just come up with a stunt on the fly. They had to set everything up in advance. Of course, he wasn’t quite sure how they would have been able to know he would have run into this alley and trip over that can, but that’s what they paid the producers the big bucks for.

The woman took a different tone when she accepted the challenge. Allen cocked his eyebrow, waiting to see the so called ‘proof’ that she was a genie. He tapped his foot, looking around for the little sign that someone was going to do something. “Alright. I’m wai-“ In the middle of his sentence, the bells chimed, and the purple smoke engulfed him. He coughed, trying to clear his throat. He waved his hand franticly, trying to get the random junk out of his eyes. “What the hell is this-” Allen found himself looking at Folly’s shoe, he looked up, his mouth agape. “Oh… damn….” Allen gasped.

Allen looked up at Folly’s smirking face as she bent down and plucked him from the ground. His arms flailed around, mostly because he was afraid of falling, and he was desperately trying to find something to hold on to. He couldn’t quite reach up to grab her fingers, which made him feel like he was in a worse position than before. “Alright. I think that is enough proof for me.” Allen said weakly, his voice high from the amount of adrenaline flowing through his veins.

Allen, however, wasn’t about to let this be the end of it. Now that he knew what he was dealing with, he might have a bit better time cooping if he used some of the things he knew to his advantage. “Alright, Folly, since you’re a genie, you have to do what I say, right?” Allen’s face quickly went from a fearful grimace to a big smile. “So… if that’s true, let’s try switching places and see how you like it!” Allen called to her.

Yeesh! So much time had passed since her last master's time. Last time she was around it had been 1980 something. It seemed like a long time from 2010. No wonder this guy looked so... bland. Who knew that what was in 4 decades ago would be out! What a shame. Especially since she didn't stick out like a sore thumb back then. It just seemed normal to be odd. Not anymore, she assumed. What a pain.

Folly laughed in amusement at the boy's comments. An actress? Ah, if only. It did tickle her fancy to imagine herself being a comedic actress if she wasn't, oh, stuck with this genie gig. Why couldn't this kid just accept the fact that she was real and get on with business? Really, she had liked it much better when her master was too much of a druggie to really get a grip on what was supposed to be real and what usually wasn't. Ah, those were some good times and some really good tricks.

She was having way too much fun dangling him in the air and her smile widened as his voice rose in pitch. The sound of fear was music to her ears. It was brillient! Folly was glad that she wouldn't be too bored out of her mind with this one. "Say, what's your name? Seeing as we're going to be stuck with each other," Folly mentioned with a shrug, since she'd already accepted the fact that she was doomed to be either stuck in a can of pepper spray or bending to the whims of a moronic human being.

At his comment, though, Folly thought of him as something completely different. "You little-" Folly grumbled, glaring at the new pain in her side as he set off his first command. They were off to a sunnyside up start- Not. She grit her teeth and like that, they had switched spots. Folly crossed her arms, cheeks puffed and eyes glaring up at her new master. "Ta-dah," she muttered, wishing passionately to be able to do some serious damage to his now oversized face. Why couldn't she be stuck with some elderly person? That would have been a good chunk of luck that Folly was never to fall upon. Instead, she was stuck with the likes of this teen. The horror!

Allen gave a light chuckle when the genie seemed to get pissed off at the cleverness of his little command. Clearly, Folly wasn’t used to dealing with someone who was… well… smart enough to take advantage of all the little rules that applied to her. That wasn’t a surprise, though. If someone who had half a brain had gotten their hands on a genie, they’d be the richest person in the world in a matter of second, probably. Wait, maybe Bill Gates got his hands on one? That would explain how a college dropout had made billions of dollars.

Allen suddenly found himself standing where Folly had been moments before, the little genie dangling between his fingers. He lifted up his palm, setting her down on it. He wasn’t that mean to leave a lady hanging like that, even if she would have done the same to him in a heartbeat. He held her up close to his face so he could have a better look at it. “Hehe. I’m surprised that worked. Normally, I would have thought I’d of needed to say ‘I wish’, but it never hurts to try something like that.” Allen looked around, briefly, making sure no one was watching, before he extended his pinky out towards the genie. “Well, I’m Allen. Nice ta meet ‘cha, Folly.” Allen said quietly, trying to seem friendly.

Allen began to pace around a bit. He knew he was going to be late for school, but at the same time, he wasn’t sure if he cared quite as much. I mean, this was a huge event. Was it really worth it to rush off to class and let this drop? He didn’t think so. “Well, unless you like sitting in the palm of my hand, you can return to normal. I don’t want to be mean to you or anything. Even though you’re a genie, you’re still a lady, after all.” Allen had a feeling she’d still be a bit cross with him for that little stunt, but he didn’t mind. At least he knew who was in control.

Allen stepped over to the edge of the alleyway, peeking out and looking both ways before returning his attention to Folly. “So you’re a genie, huh? That’s gotta be fun at times. Sure, you’re stuck in this thing a lot, but you must get to have some fun while you’re out, right?” Allen asked. His eyes scanned over her once more. She was pretty, even though she had a lot of makeup on. “You have anything particular you like to do with all that power, or are you just one of those that doesn’t care about anything?” Allen had a feeling he knew the answer to this already just from seeing her getup, but he wanted to hear it from her.

Lily sat squashed against the window of the plane. A middle aged man was leanin against her snoring loudly. She shoved him away, but only found that her efforts were fruitless. The bottle glistened in the aeroplane's metallic light as it lay nestled in her handbag.

Charm was not coming out any time soon. He was to blame after all. It was because of his stupid seductive attitude and antics that her boss decuded enough was enough. Everything she did was by the book and Charm just had to make her go clubbing every night. Anyone would crumble under the number of horny people throwing themselved at her night after night.

So far the flight was pretty unbearable, 7 hours down only 2 to go. The little plane on the screen before her bobbed across towards the Charm's dream city.

Yay... Lily was going to have to put up with him in an even worse mood. It was amizing that she was able to find a job at all and fortunately, the senior secretary provided a good reference! She was kind of glad Charm was with her though, he was her only friend albeit a narcassitic one but her had to grant her, her every wish. That was definitely an improvement.

Lily glanced at her watch 1 hour and 45 minutes to go. It was going to be a long flight.

Charm hardly remembered what it was like without a mistress for him to serve. In all truths, he hardly remembered any of his almost two millenia's life, but that wasn't the point. When had his first - to his memory - mistress died? It was what, forty, fifty years ago now - though it seemed like a blink of an eye despite his memory loss.

This mistress had come across him purely by accident, hidden away in his glass bottle, and all of a sudden he was servant to a thin, drab woman with the ability to turn her nose up at even the more upper-class of venues. The reason why she let him venture to such places was simple; if she didn't, he'd probably go crazy.

Was it his fault he loved the feel of human flesh? Young or old, curvaceous or skinny, flabby or muscular - male or female - what did he care? Charm's web-weaving abilities were greater than any human's, and he could manipulate almost anyone to fall into it without their knowledge.

His antics, though, had finally earned him a place in the metaphorical dog-house. Lily had lost her job due to exhaustion, and now they were flying over to Vegas to be - oh, de-ja-vu - the secretary of a lawyer firm. She even did that by the books. Unfortunately, 'twas not the smutty, trashy genre he was talking about - it was the non-fiction she seemed to live in. If it had been, they would have had a lot more in common.

Taking his opportunity to stretch back and relax upon the richly decorated bed within his little bottle, he released a soft sigh. Despite how much he hated his Mistress' inability to keep her head straight around testosterone-fuelled men, he also detested it when she kept him in here for something which was her own fault - of course. She bowed in, remember!

Bearing this in mind, he jangled the bangles (rhyme<3) around his wrist. The subtle sparkles were viewed only by him as he magnified his voice. The funnel-throated neck of his chamber allowed these spoken words through.

"You can't keep me in here forever, you know. Sooner or later,
you're going to get terribly lonely."

Irritated, he brought his hands back through the thick mane of dark hair, tempted to force his way out and face the consequences later.
My pen has scribed words you cannot imagine;
My fingers stained black with ink.
Try as you may
You never can tame

Folly let out a laugh. Oh, the movies sure did do the genies justice. To imagine having to hear "I wish" every time her masters wanted something; she'd have gone nuts by now! The power of the master seemed too concrete and enforced to have to heed to the formalities of command prompts. Ah, if only it had been that easy and people only got three wishes. Folly would never be that lucky... ever.

She sighed, taking the boy's pinky in both of her hands and shaking it in a sign of surrender. He wasn't as dull as her other masters and so she would have to find other ways to mess with him. "Allen, eh? Nice to meet you too, I guess," Folly replied, peering down at the ground as he began to pace to and fro. She was amused by his reaction to it all and thankful that he hadn't made the usual move of wishing to conquer the world or something dumb like that. If only Folly could get a nickel for every time she heard that line, she'd be a rich genie.

Without hesitation, Folly went back to her normal height. She wasn't exactly a fan of being the size of a little action toy, especially when in the presence of humans. Like she hadn't been degraded enough by her current position! She adjusted her hat out of boredom, causing the bells to jingle along with the ones she had tied in her hair. The sound made her smile slightly.

"Yeah, yeah. Being a genie is the bees knees," Folly replied sarcastically, rolling her eyes. "And don't diss the can. I like the can," she added on as she looked around for it. "Say, where did you put my little shack? If you lost it, I'll deck you." She knawed on her gum, wondering about where on earth she was anyways. Where had her can taken her? Last time she had checked, she had been somewhere in Mexico on the run with her master for, er, stuff. Hehe, now that had been fun.

"Oh, I love to do tricks. Tricks, tricks, and more tricks," Folly admitted with a wide, mischievious grin. She folded her legs and arms, her body automatically levitating in the air. Slowly, her body tilted and rotated until she was upside down, her hat and clothes miraculously staying exactly where they'd been, though the hat lay swaying on her head with bells jingling. "I love to just have fun when I'm bored as you can see. Heehee, you're upside down," Folly rambled on. "So, is there anything your heart desires at the moment?"

Allen gave Folly a nice smile when she shook his pinky. He could tell right away that she was not amused by the situation. It wasn’t a surprise. For her, she was probably more upset about having to listen to him than anything. If he was a big douche, he’d take full advantage of that. However, he respected her, at least enough to try and avoid degrading her too much, save for those times when she was asking for it. It was pretty obvious there were going to be a lot of them. She already seemed to be looking for every chance she could to humiliate him. He’d just have to make sure that he returned the favor.

Allen glanced over his shoulder at Folly when she inquired about her pepper spray can. He shook his head, holding the can up casually from the bottom. “I know I’m only 18, but give me some credit. I might be a bit of a klutz, but I wasn’t going to let go of this thing.” Allen looked away for a moment before he looked back at Folly. “Though I will admit, I almost dropped it when you turned me into a little shrimp. I… wasn’t thinking about it, considering I was focusing on your giant breasts... I mean face!” Allen recovered, though it was probably too late for that.

Allen quickly tried to change the subject. “Well, can’t be much worse than going to school. At least you have a good bit of freedom ninety-nine percent of the time. Besides, I’m pretty sure you….” Allen twisted his head some as Folly floated upside down. He shook his head, continuing his sentence. “…can spend a good bit of your time pulling tricks, right? It’s not like you can only do what I tell you to do. I mean, I didn’t tell you to do… that… right?”

Allen glanced out of the alleyway again. He was a bit paranoid about being found with a genie. Folly… didn’t seem to have the sort of self control to keep that sort of thing just between the two of them. Though that might be fine, if the only people she blurted it to friends, if he had friends. That was one of the big dampers on being new to the city. He didn’t know anyone, other than his parents and Folly. He wasn’t sure if he counted any of them, though. Least not his parents. Folly was up in the air at this point. It would be nice to have just one friend. Maybe even a girlfriend would be nice.

Allen started to think seriously about his social dilemma. “Well, I don’t suppose you could poof me up a friend, maybe a girlfriend, could you?” Allen asked. He actually turned around at this point, facing Folly. “You see, I pretty much just moved here. I don’t know anyone, cept my parents and you, of course. Guess all I really want at this moment is someone to hang out with. It’s a bit lonely when every couple of months I end up by myself again.”

Folly let out a breath of relief when she saw her little home safe and sound in Allen's hands. She would have had a cow, quite literally, if it had gotten damaged or lost. That place was her only retreat from all the crazies the human world allowed to roam around. She eyed her can as he held it, still slightly nervous about it. She could bet that everything inside was messed up due to his fumbling with it. Ugh, she hated using her powers to clean.

Her thoughts about a change in furniture were abruptly stopped, her face becoming a deep red at Allen's admission. Her whole body became slightly more transparent and she frowned. "Men are all the same. Why should I be surprised?" Folly grumbled mostly to herself, shaking her head at the immature comments about her, er, chest. Her arms moved across her chest awkwardly before finally refocusing on what the boy was saying. Folly was really getting good at self restraint since all she wanted to do was shove Allen into the can without any magical help.

"Oh ho ho, yeah sure. Ninety-nine percent of the time I'm absolutely free," Folly replied, rolling her eyes. This guy had to be kidding. It was at least seventy-five percent "free". Well, that was her slightly exaggerating. Most of the time, Folly felt utterly bored and restrained, not allowed to do much of anything outside the confides of her can. Sure, she had her fun but what it all boiled down to was obeying her master of that moment in time, though she did her darn'dest to fight it with all her might; and this she did through tricks. Lovely, lovely pranks.

"Nope, ya' didn't because I only have to obey you when ya' tell me to," Folly foolishly blurted out. She should have kept that to herself... Now he was going to be annoying with all his requests. Boy, oh boy. It was going to be so much fun.

Speaking of fun, Folly was having loads of fun watching Allen scurry about like a chicken with his head cut off. Hah! Apparently, this kid was supposed to be somewhere, very much unlike herself. "Lookin' for someone? Running from the cops?" Folly teased. He didn't look much like the type to get into trouble with his parents, let alone the law. Though, he did seem paranoid about something. Then again, he was talking to a female floating upside down in the air with extensive makeup and clothing. Eh, he was lucky to be in her presence but of course, others wouldn't look at it that way.

"Hey, where are we anyways?" Folly asked, finally letting her curiousity out. She was sure this wasn't Mexico mostly because the thugs and Allen spoke very fluent english.

Though, his request seemed anything but. The dude was asking for a friend? A girlfriend? Folly bit back hysterics. Hah! Now, that was something she hadn't heard yet in all her years. "Um, I could make someone off the street your friend if that's what you want but I can't make someone just appear... and no to the girlfriend. Actually, I should tell you the basics: No amor, direct killing, raising from the dead, or making money or people appear out of thin air. It just doesn't work that way, sadly," Folly admitted with a shrug.

Allen regretted his slip of the tongue immediately. Though Folly didn’t explode like he had thought she would, she was certainly distraught over the comment. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it. I’m… just not used to being around girls, especially pretty ones.” Yeah, it probably wasn’t the right thing to say, but it wasn’t like he had a lot of experience talking to girls about… well… anything. This conversation was getting pretty close to the longest one he’d ever had with a girl about anything more than ‘pass the papers here’, ‘isn’t the weather nice?’, ‘I’m sorry, did I just step on your toe?’. He was starting to wonder if the only way he was ever going to get a girl was if she was attached to him at the hip.

Folly made yet another sarcastic comment. By this point, her body was pretty transparent. The little effect only encouraged the idea that she was upset about something. Though there was the obvious mishap from earlier, it seemed like she was also pretty unhappy with her current deal. She was, after all, still tied to her bottle for all eternity. Though Allen didn’t think he’d keep her locked in their most of the time, he had a feeling that a lot of the people she had been a servant to before weren’t quite as nice. He’d have to think of a way to fix that one.

Allen wasn’t surprised that she couldn’t go through with his request. It was mostly because he didn’t think she’d be able to do it. I mean, who’d believe that she could just make a friend out of thin air? Sure, she was a genie, but that didn’t mean there weren’t rules to it. If there were no rules, the world would probably be ruled by a bunch of people who had genies. Well, maybe it was, but if that were true, the rulers were doing an amazing job of covering the whole thing up, especially considering that they’d have to pass the bottle off like every few years. Not the ideal way of being a total dictator.

Allen had been mostly looking out into the street to make sure no one was looking. Folly finally called him on it. He glanced over his shoulder, noticing that she was still upside down. “Oh, well, not to be rude or anything, but I don’t think that most people are used to seeing a slightly transparent girl in a jester outfit floating upside down in an alleyway. We don’t even have that kind of stuff at the circus, so forgive me if I’m a little paranoid about someone spotting you like that.” That, and he didn’t want to have to try and explain that. He was already having enough trouble talking to people. “We’re in Las Vegas, Nevada. How long you been in there, anyway? It must have been quite awhile.”

Allen listened to the rules she had to live by. Most of them didn’t strike his interest, anyway. He was lonely, not crazy. Of course, that was one of the things he couldn’t wish for, after all. He’d rather not just force someone off the streets to be his friend. That seemed a bit… messed up. No, he’d only do that if it was someone who might want to do it anyway. Maybe someone like…. Allen looked over his shoulder at Folly. He coughed. No, he couldn’t do that, could he? Oh, she’d hate him for that. But still… if she was going to be around him anyway….

Allen turned slowly, walking a bit nervously over to Folly. Oh, this was going to be bad…. “Alright. I think I have an idea of what I want.” Allen hesitated, his eyes focusing on the ground below Folly, not sure he wanted to look her in the eye for this. “I want you to act like my girlfriend. In exchange, you get to be outside your bottle whenever you want, do your little tricks, screw around, whatever. You just have to act like we’re going out in public.” Allen paused, looking into her eyes, a bit of fear coming into them. “So how does that sound?” He asked. It was a command, but still, he didn’t feel right just ordering her do to something without at least asking her opinion.

Hah! Folly had a real laugh at that one, causing her bells to jingle. Oh, he just didn't know when to stop. First, he admitted to looking at her breasts and now he was admitting that he thought she was pretty! Boy was digging his social grave and fast. No wonder he'd asked for a friend and a gal. Jeez, she kind of felt sorry for him but then again, she had no pity since she'd spent more than 400 years in solitude. Sure, she had masters but they were all a bunch of twits with a few fun and jolly ones along the way, though otherwise she was utterly alone with not even another genie to bond with.

Folly grinned, watching Allen as he continued to look into the street and finally, she placed herself solidly on the ground though she was still a bit transparent. "Hey, you should be happy to have such a unique character with you in... Las Vegas? Jeez, that's different. Land of chance and bankruptcy. Oh, this place was made for me," Folly stated, imagining the havoc she could create in a casino. Oh, the joy and the fun.

She grimaced at his question, thinking of the time between the 80's and now. "Eh, only 40 years. It wasn't that bad, I guess," Folly replied with a shrug as she leaned against the wall and summoned her staff to twirl 'round and 'round out of boredom. She really wasn't enjoying hiding in an alleyway because of Mr. Paranoid. Knowing Las Vegas' background, people would just think that she was an act at one of the casinos that was on break or completely lost. It wasn't a bad city to be in as a genie. Sucked that she hadn't been there before now with a master. Well, at least now she could have some fun!

Or... not. Folly peered over at Allen, who'd suddenly turned even more odd since the last time she checked. "Got something in your throat?" Folly joked, after hearing him cough awkwardly. Oh, genie, she could feel something coming on that she was probably not going to like. Slowly, Folly moved away from the wall and eyed Allen as he started to speak. Ideas were never a good thing, especially coming from a teenage human. She was sure it wasn't going to work in her favor and, of course, it didn't.

Almost instantly, Folly became as solid as the wall- all transparency gone- and her eyes narrowed on Allen, daggers practically flying at him from her eyes. "You sure know how to make a tempting offer, Master," Folly stated stiffly as she ran his latest command through her head. "One genie girlfriend coming right up," she sighed, the signature purple smoke enveloping her for a split second before she appeared again but very differently.

Folly had 'normal' clothes on. Well, they were normal back in the 80's. She wasn't exactly up to date with the latest fashions and so she appeared with the classic 80's rocker girl outfit: bangles galore on her wrists, a torn denim skirt with black leggings and a Guns and Roses T-shirt that was cut so that it lay slack off her shoulder. The makeup was gone, her face natural and slightly tanned. The only aspects of her that stayed the same were her silver eyes and purple hair, though it was toned down with brown hair on the bottom layer.

"If this isn't how people dress today, I'll fix it later. For now, this is how I'll appear yadda yadda yadda," Folly grumbled, pissed that her appearance had changed. Stubbornly, Folly thought of a remedy and snapped her fingers, a tattoo of a Jester's hat appearing on her exposed back shoulder blade. She had to keep something to maintain sanity. "Can't believe I have to look human," she continued to grumble. It took everything in her not to sock Allen in the face... and actually...

"Oh, right," Folly randomly said, her eyes going to Allen and a smirk coming across her face. Suddenly, a swirl of purple mist appeared around Allen and he was swooped up in a purple tornado that twisted him and placed him upside down where he stayed after the purple smoke disappeared. Folly walked up to him and pinched his nose. "My first trick. There are plenty more to come," she said with a mocking smile before walking away and with a snap of her finger, Allen was released from the imaginary hold that kept him upside down.

Folly was happy to hear she was in Las Vegas. It was an interesting city, after all. However, it wasn’t a place that quite suited Allen. The place was more for the wild and crazy type, like Folly, not a wall flower, like Allen. Of course, he wasn’t quite sure what she would do, exactly. There was a good chance that it would be reckless and dangerous, but probably something that would at least be interesting to watch, so long as he didn’t get caught in the crossfire, which… seemed to be her objective at this point. “It is an interesting city. Not really a place for a teenager, though, if you know what I mean. It’s not like they let kids my age into the casinos and strip clubs.” Allen said.

Folly seemed to be biting back a nasty response to his command. She really looked like she was ready to smack him in the face. He wasn’t terribly sure he’d blame her. On the surface, it probably didn’t seem like it was all that great of a deal, especially considering that she’d have to hang around with a nobody like Allen, but hopefully, something would come up to make her feel happier about it. He was praying for that, anyway. The last thing he wanted to do is have a moody genie hanging around with no one to torture but him.

Allen watched as Folly’s clothes quickly changed from the interesting jester outfit to something that he might have thought his mother might have worn back when she was his age. Even if it was thirty years out of date, it was still… pretty hot. He probably would have picked something different, but then again, to her, he probably looked funny. “Sorry if you don’t like it. I hope it’s better than sitting in your bottle the whole time. I’ll… try not to make this too unbearable for you.” Allen said, doing his best not to stare. She was already upset. It was best not to compound that issue.

Folly gave a light smirk before Allen was engulfed in a purple tornado. “What the- Hey HEY!” Allen called out as he was gradually turned upside down. He swung his arms around, trying to balance himself as the blood rushed to his head. Folly walked over, a little bit of a happy strut to her step, before she pinched his nose. She stepped around him, walking away. He heard the snap of her fingers before his body fell to the ground. He landed on his shoulder, doing his best to roll away to avoid hurting himself any more than he had to.

Allen jumped to his feet, brushing himself off. His shoulder still hurt, but he’d have to deal with that. He jogged, catching up with Folly. He reached over his shoulder, putting the pepper spray can in his backpack. He didn’t want to lose it, especially not with how mad Folly was. “Alright. Think that was fair….” Allen said, slowing his pace to walk in step with Folly. “I know that this is probably a bit irritating for you, but I think you’ll grow to like it after being out and about for a bit.”

Allen glanced around. He didn’t really know where they were going. He wasn’t really sure where to go. “Well, I doubt that it’s even worth trying to go to school right now. Something tells me having you walk in with me wouldn’t help matters, either. I’d rather not bore you with the tediousness of high school life, especially since you’ve been stuck in the can for a long time.” Allen hesitated before his next move. He slowly moved his right hand over, quietly gripping the genie’s. He was a bit worried about getting hit with something again, but by technical standards, it was something that ‘normal’ boyfriends and girlfriends did. “Well, if you have somewhere you want to go, just speak up. I’m out of ideas.” Allen said, trying to avoid the subject of their hands being held together.

Folly could only laugh at his comments. Of course Las Vegas wouldn't be that great for a human of his age. She was ageless and so, she could get into any place she desired. One of the very little good aspects about being a genie was the unlimited possibilities when it came to places to go. She could instantly change her image and walk into a bar or a playground, just like that. Poor humans, unable to change their physical appearance. Though, Folly loved her usual appearance, which made this little mission that much more unbearable.

"Grow to liking it? You're a funny one, you," Folly said dryly, not even bothering to mention how she'd kill herself a million times over before ever growing to 'like it'. Who was Allen trying to kid? She was a genie for crying out loud and he was asking her to play pretend with him. It was a waste and a mockery of her powers as far as she was concerned. He deserved every little bit of hurt inflicted by her little stunt. Sadly for him, payback wasn't near finished. She was just getting started with her reign of terror. This was how it was for each master; Folly would try every single one of them until they either cracked and lost it or ran off in order to keep their sanity! It all was such an amusing show for Folly.

Folly pondered over the concept of "school". She'd never gone to such a place but had heard of it from masters. They all seemed to paint it out to be boring but she couldn't exactly go on their opinions since most of them were mental or just losers. She wasn't about to suggest going to school, though, since heaven forbid they'd all been right! She'd be stuck with a bunch of morons. It would be a waste of her precious and infinite time.

Speaking of a waste of time... Folly's eyes slowly moved to look at the hand Allen had so sneakingly crept onto hers. It was wierd because usually people didn't bother to touch her, especially since she was transparent most of the time except for now when she was posing as a human. She grimaced, wishing she had the power to become transparent for that one moment but her own body wouldn't let her! It was like some rule would be broken so Folly assumed that holding hands was one of those girlfriend things. She shuddered at the thought.

"Hm, so many choices," Folly wondered aloud as she tried to decide where to go first since he'd left it out in the wind. Oh, he shouldn't have done that. "Well, first I'd love to go to the spa, they still have those right? We can both get a boyfriend and girlfriend manicure and pedicure! It'll be awesome," Folly exclaimed, all grins. Inside, she was jumping at the thought of the torture it would bring. She grabbed hold of Allen's hand even tighter and dragged him to the closest resort and went directly for the spa, ordering for a double manicure and pedicure. "It's our first date, you see," Folly commented innocently to the lady at the front desk to which the lady smiled awkwardly and pointed them towards the spa room.

Soon, they were both seated side by side on lounge chairs and workers began to give them their manicures and pedicures. "I'd love if we could both get little red hearts on our wedding fingers, just to signify our love and all that," Folly continued the front of a mushy teenager, to which the ladies just continued to paint their nails- keeping in mind the little heart that was to be painted on the the couple's fingers.

This situation didn’t seem to be getting any better, not surprisingly. Who could really be surprised by that? Folly wasn’t happy about the whole ‘girlfriend’ and ‘pretending to be human’ setup, and she was taking it out on Allen, which was fair. Allen, of course, wasn’t feeling all that great about it, either. He’d never been one to enjoy stepping on other people’s toes, both physically and emotionally, and this was certainly about as close to his tolerance as he could get. He was hoping that Folly would start to lighten up with the little bit of ‘freedom’ he was giving her set in, considering that she probably hadn’t been out of her can in decades.

The sarcastic comment Folly made stung Allen a bit. It was one of those things that just made him feel worse about it. “Well, that’s not going to help matters. What ever happened to that cocky attitude you showed back there in the alley when you faced those thugs?” Allen asked, trying to create a lighter spin on it. “Just consider it something new. You just have to try and think positively. I’m sure that there is something that is different that you can’t experience while you’re all genie-like.”

Folly, however, perked up at the thought of choosing the destination of their first adventure. She thought for a few moments, and Allen began to wonder if this was a good idea. Were they going to end up doing something that was so painful for him that he wouldn’t be able to bear it, or something that he wouldn’t want to be caught dead doing. Unfortunately, it was the latter. “Oh, God, that’s twisted!” Allen exclaimed, his body lurching forward as Folly took off with him in tow. He practically fell on his face from the initial tug, as he wasn’t ready for it.

Allen was tripping over his feet the whole way there, though it wasn’t from trying to resist. He couldn’t quite keep up with her, at least not without his arm. She dragged him into the spa, lugging him over to the front desk before signing them up for a manicure and pedicure. Allen did his best to give a smile to the girl, though it was a bit hard. The only time he had ever ended up at one of these places was because his mom dragged him there when he was ten because she couldn’t get a babysitter. He had fought very hard from there on out to never go to one again. It had been a particularly miserable day.

It wasn’t long before they were seated. While they were waiting, however, Allen was sure to bring up a particular point. “Well, for someone who doesn’t like to pretend to be human, you’re certainly doing a very good job of it.” Allen poked fun at her, knowing she’d probably find a way to get him back for it. He was starting to wonder if she was just toying with him. “And I’m sure you’re doing this because you enjoy having someone working for you for a change, eh?” Allen said, giving her a little nudge in the stomach.

When the two of them were seated, Allen began to groan a bit. This was, of course, a very boring experience for him, not to mention a bit degrading. No self-respecting guy would be caught dead doing this. Maybe that was why he was here…. He didn’t exactly have the self confidence. He thought he was going to die a little inside as he watched the heart get painted onto his ring finger nail. “Well, it certainly is a nice way of commemorating our first date.” Allen sighed. She had him this time.

Allen quickly began to think of a way to try and turn this into a slightly better situation. At this point, there was no way out of the manicure and pedicure. He was hoping he’d at least be able to cover that up, if and when he did show his face back at school. However, he wasn’t about to let Folly have the last laugh, at least not yet. She’d have to do a bit better than that to keep him down. He began to consider what he could do at the spa to return the favor.

Allen smirked a little as he got an idea. He turned to one of the people working on his nails, glancing over at Folly as he asked the lady. “Excuse me. I was just curious. You see, we’re going to need some time to ourselves to relax for a bit. This place wouldn’t happen to have a Jacuzzi, would it?” Allen looked over at Folly, giving her his best impression of a loving smile.

Folly had to agree with him there. It was definitely something "new" and annoying. She wasn't liking much of it, except that she was able to be somewhat free, though what that meant she wasn't quite sure. Free just wasn't a word in her immediate vocabulary. Though, if she was completely free what would she do? It had always been a question at the back of her head. To be masterless... how did that even work? Would she still be a genie or just some spirit wandering around aimlessly? Either way, she'd find something fun to do but it still irked her that she never really knew the answer. Though, if Folly really thought about it she'd realize it didn't even matter, because the whole idea was just that: an idea.

Being a human was strange and very non genie-like. She was actually in a physical form and skin-to-skin contact was kind of wierd, especially when it was with Allen. She wondered what else she could do in physical form that she couldn't do as a transparent genie. Well, she couldn't just poof from room to room. That was a bit inconvenient. She could, however, go rock climbing and all that stuff genies usually never did because they couldn't and didn't need to what with their powers. It was both a liberation and a curse. "Ugh," Folly groaned, not letting Allen know anything that was going on in her head. All he needed to know was that this certain experience wasn't the best.

The manicure was from heaven! She'd never had her nails done; usually, she just snapped her fingers and presto! Now, it wasn't automatic but a process that she very much enjoyed. To think that someone else was taking care of her instead of the other way around! "I'm glad I do such a wonderful impersination. It isn't that hard seeing as humans are so one dimensional," Folly shot back with a devious grin. She didn't answer his question, not letting him have the satisfaction of knowing that she was slightly liking the whole idea of being human for a change. Not being a jester had its perks at the moment...

Folly watched as the red heart was painted on her nail and smiled to herself, knowing that she could easily get it off at will thanks to her awesome powers. Meanwhile, Allen would have to suffer. Ah, the genius of it all. She admired her french manicure and wiggled her fingers happily when the lady was done with them. Soon, Folly found her feet placed in lotion and some water thing she'd never seen before. Whatever it was, she liked it as it was warm and massaging. Now she knew of something to add to her little home for off days when she had nothing else to do.

Her eyes slid over to glare at Allen. "A Jacuzzi, huh? You're so thoughtful," Folly said with a strained smile. He had to be kidding. The lady working on his nails just smiled and nodded.

"Yes, we have one if you'd like to visit it after the pedicure," she added to Folly's dismay. Folly continued to sneak glares over to Allen whenever the women weren't looking.

Though it certainly wasn’t his cup of tea, Allen had to admit that the manicure didn’t feel too bad. However, he’d probably have his hands in his pockets a lot when he finally returned to school. If he returned to school. He winced a few times when they messed with the skin arching over his nails. The woman working on him wasn’t exactly working to be gentle. He didn’t complain, though. The last thing he wanted to do was fuel Folly’s confidence about this. He was going to have to play it cool, make sure that he at least managed to pretend that this wasn’t bothering him at all.

Allen gave a quiet sigh as he watched the heart get painted onto his nail. Though it didn’t really bother him too much as far as the whole thing with Folly went, it most certainly was not something that would be qualified as “manly”. So long as that was on his finger, he was going to be getting weird looks. He looked up at the woman painting it, giving her a smile. “Looks good. Thank you.” he said, giving a little begrudging look at Folly. This was just one of those things that he’d have to put up with. Oh, this was going to be a long day!

Allen kept his eye on Folly. She actually seemed to be enjoying herself, you know, between the daggers she was shooting out of her eyes every time she looked at Allen. “Well, you only have to get to know someone to see that they aren’t so cut and dry. Well, some of them are, but that’s why we got stereotypes. Not everyone’s like that, though.” Allen said, trying to get Folly to lighten up. It didn’t seem to be working too well. It only made sense, though. How would a teenager be expected to change the mind of a four-hundred year-old genie?

As his feet sunk into the liquid, Allen glanced over at the clock out of habit. He was just about ready to jump out of the chair and make a run for it. This wasn’t exactly the best experience of his life. Sure, it was relaxing, to an extent, but it wasn’t going to help him make friends when he finally did make it to school, though it was still a bit debatable whether he’d ever actually show up there or not. With Folly around, did he really need to? Either way, he had a feeling that with Folly around, he wouldn’t be getting anything productive done. He had a feeling that if she got bored, she’d be sure to take it out on the nearest sap, and nine times out of ten, that was going to be him.

When the session was over, Allen stood up. “Thank you! You did a wonderful job on these… things….” Allen stalled, glancing at his nails as he finished. “Well, we’d better be off to that Jacuzzi. We’ll be sure to tell the people at the front desk what a wonderful job you did!” Allen was sure to grip Folly’s hand before they started walking. When they were out of earshot of the ladies, Allen glanced over his shoulder at Folly, giving her a little smirk. “Well, honey, you certainly seemed to be enjoying yourself back there.” Allen said, doing his best to keep a level tone, though a hint of sarcasm crept into it.

Allen followed the signs to what would be defined as a Jacuzzi hall. There were four doors with frosted glass, or maybe it was steam, it was hard to tell. Allen walked up to one of them, knocking before entering. It wasn’t a particularly big room. There was a big hot tub built into a tan stone floor, the walls made of the same sort of material. There was a wooden bench off to the side, most presumably for all the stuff that most people would have brought into a room like this. There was also a little room in the corner for changing, though Allen didn’t think they would be using that.

Allen closed the door behind them, stepping towards the little pool before he turned towards Folly. “Well, considering that I wasn’t planning on coming to a spa today, particularly not a pool, you’re going to have to poof up something for the both of us. Just a pair of trunks for me will do.” Allen paused, looking Folly over. A thought crossed his mind. Oh, he was going to pay for this one. “And how about a nice little two piece for you. Something nice and pretty for my girlfriend.” Allen smirked.

Folly rolled her eyes at Allen's comment. No, she was pretty sure every human was cut n' dry when it came to their character. She didn't want to brag but she had a good radar on her shoulders when it came to that kind of thing and humans were the easiest creatures to figure out. Point blank. They wore their stupid emotions on their shoulders and were the worst at lying. Speaking of lying, Allen was so transparent when it came to the whole ordeal of getting his nails done. It was hysterical how he actually complimented the woman for her work! She knew that deep down, he had to be suffering. Good. As long as she wasn't the only one grumpy, all was right with the world. Though, it aggitated her that he wasn't showing it as much as she'd wanted him to.

When the manicure and pedicure was done, Folly felt a dread roll over her. She didn't want to go to any Jacuzzi with Allen any time soon. The boy was obviously out to make her miserable (as she was) and being stuck anywhere with him was going to be the worst. She could only hope that it would be a public Jacuzzi but something told her luck was not on her side.

Folly gave Allen a sarcastic smile. "Oh, I'm just drowning in joy," she said stiffly as Allen lead her towards the door to hell. She started to wonder what a Jacuzzi was like anyways, since the last time she saw one it was full of empty beer bottles and a bunch of drunkies. She'd never actually been in one and she didn't exactly want to start now, at least not here with this person. Oh, boy.

"Trunks coming rig-EXCUSE ME?!" Folly screeched, her face as red as a tomato at Allen's request. He had to be kidding! Over her dead body would she wear a tiny two piece! And seeing as that wasn't happening any time soon, he had another thing coming to him. Her arms shot out almost automatically, ready to strangle the boy until her bangles that had seemed so innocent suddenly constricted against her wrists. Folly flinched back, retracting her bloodthirsty arms, and glared at Allen.

"I hate you with such a burning passion. May you drown and die painfully," she growled as, with a small poof of purple, Folly's clothes were replaced with a tiny purple bikini and Allen was placed in a pair of trunks that majorly cut off his circulation. She gave a steaming huff and practically stomped her way into the Jacuzzi, plopping down on the seating and leaning against the back of the tub with eyes closed so not to kill Allen with her glare.

Allen should have known a bit better than to push his luck with this. Folly was already pretty pissed at him, and asking for something as stupid as putting her in a little two piece should have thrown a red flag up in his head. However, seeing as this had been looking to shape into a big contest to see who could stand the torture the other could dish out, he should have known to take it slow. Of course, he wasn’t the social genius others were, and furthermore, he wasn’t all that good at reading people. He didn’t know much at all about Folly, and really didn’t have a way of predicting how she’d react.

Folly, understandably, exploded at his command. Within moments, the pair of trunks was constricting around his groins. Allen doubled over, the fabric feeling as though it were crushing that particular place in an incredibly painful way. He couldn’t muster words for a full half minute, the pain so great that he couldn’t do anything more than groan from the crushing feeling against his thighs. However, as his head slowly started to clear up, he asked, his voice wheezing. “Loosen… the… trunks… up….” he groaned, his knees hitting the floor before the trunks finally expanded to a comfortable length.

Allen slowly sank into the hot water, his body not adjusting quite as quickly as Folly’s apparently had. Of course, she was a genie, so she probably wasn’t bothered by the sudden heat up at all. It was probably nice not to worry about pain like that. It sure would of helped him about a minute ago. Either way, that was in the past, though he was sure Folly didn’t think of it that way. Oh, he was probably only beginning to pay for that one! Was it worth it? Probably not. He felt pretty bad about it, actually. Though he was pretty sure Folly didn’t have lines when she was pulling pranks, he did, and he’d taken a big step over it.

Allen sat quietly on the opposite side of the hot tub for a long while. He didn’t want to enflame the situation by pressing the issue right away. After what felt like hours, he finally got the guts to speak up. “Look, I’m sorry about that. I felt like it was a good idea, at least as a bit of pay back for the whole spa thing… and the heart on the finger and all that.” Allen spoke slowly, though he had a feeling he was going to get zapped here soon. She was already pissed enough about it.

Allen paused. He was pretty sure that line wasn’t going to go over well, but was he couldn’t really think of anything better to say. He’d screwed up pretty bad there. He was probably lucky that it had only been the trunks and not something that would have maimed or killed him. He’d probably have to make it up to her, which was going to be hard. “I know I just screwed up pretty bad. I shouldn’t be using you just to make myself happy, even if you have to. It’s not right.”

Allen slowly scooted around the outside of the Jacuzzi until he was sitting right next to her. He hesitantly placed his arm over her shoulder, fearing that it would burst into flames from the contact with her skin. “You know, even though my life sucks pretty bad, you must have it so much worse. You spent so many years locked up in that can. I shouldn’t be worried about my life right now.” Allen paused, looking off to the side. “What we should be doing is celebrating you being out and about for once. We shouldn’t be fighting each other. We should be excited… I guess….” No, Allen wasn’t a romantic. He wasn’t good with words.

Allen looked over at Folly, trying to look into her eyes. “I guess what I really want to ask is what do you really want? I’m sure people always ask so much of you, but I doubt most people ask that of you. I think I should at least give you some time to just cut loose, doing your thing, and enjoy yourself.” Allen wasn’t sure this would work, but it was better than sitting in silence for the next hour.

Folly was quite pleased with herself. For each point he scored on her self esteem, she just punched him right back with the loop holes he left in his commands. People should be precise when they ask for something or Folly wouldn't have such an easy time finding ways to twist it to her advantage- especially when she was this pissed. It was amazing that she wasn't blowing up, literally, at that moment. She couldn't believe that her body, usually covered for the most part, was in basically a loin cloth. It was rediculous! Never before had she been forced to wear this junk. But, of course, her past masters didn't really 'need' a girlfriend to lollygag around with as this dude did. She had all the luck in the world...

Folly rolled her eyes, waving a hand idly in Allen's direction and allowing the trunks to loosen, though she really wished he hadn't been able to breathe long enough to make his request. She ignored him as best she could as he made it into the Jacuzzi in one piece. Oh, she had so wished to choke him back then but, of course, direct harm wasn't one of the many things Folly could do when it concerned her master. The horror of it all, the horror. If only her bangles hadn't been her restraints, Allen was sure to be unconcious and floating in the Jacuzzi, rather than sitting in it comfortably.

She couldn't keep her eyes closed and instead, stared off into oblivion and anywhere but Allen's direction, which was hard as she could feel him right across from her. The temptation to strangle him was great, especially with no witnesses around to see the crime. Why, oh why did they make that stupid rule! Folly cursed whoever made it with all her heart.

Folly went rigid as Allen finally spoke up. She grit her teeth together to keep herself from slapping him with her words. She didn't want him to ask for something more revealing than what she already had on. In order to block him out as much as possible, Folly sank into the warm water, submerging herself. Sadly, she could still hear his darn'd voice, plus thanks to her 'human' form she actually would have to come up to breathe at some point. Ugh, every word he said drew her closer to just drowning if that were even possible. Even if she HAD to? There was a difference between making someone happy by being used and just plain being used. Folly glared at him from under water, not liking one bit anything he was saying or the fact that he was creeping closer to her.

Finally, her lungs gave way and she had to come back up just in time for Allen to place his arm on her shoulder! She could have killed him. She could have murdered him, but she could feel the bangles, still in place, tightening with each demonic thought.

His words darkly amused her. Oh yes, they should celebrate her finally coming out to this! TO THIS! She would rather have her dumb old master that kicked the bucket early. This must have been some form of karma to repay her for her years and years of bad deeds. It seemed like more than enough punishment. "What do I want? I want you to get your arm off my shoulder and to get as far as possible from me before I choke you with or without these restraints chopping off my wrists," Folly stated through clenched teeth. There was no hope for her to get what she really wanted so why the hell would she even bother saying it to this moron? Like he could do anything about it and either way, he was probably just putting on an act. All humans did that, just to get their way.

Allen was a little sad to hear what Folly had to say. It wasn’t a terrible surprise, really. He had messed up. Big time. He had treated her more like a tool than a being, and he regretted it. Though no, she hadn’t exactly been the greatest to him, that didn’t give him the right to treat her like trash. Allen slowly withdrew his arm, a solemn look on his face. He moved away from Folly, walking off towards the edge of the hot tub. He threw himself up on the side of the little pool, clambering up so he was sitting on the edge, looking back at Folly. He gave her a weak smile, though he wasn’t really sure why.

Allen gave a heavy sigh, looking down at the bottom of the pool. “Alright. If that’s what you really want….” Allen pulled his legs out of the pool. He walked over towards the bench, his bag sitting on the edge. He started fumbling around in his back, feeling around for that can he had picked up not too long ago. He couldn’t believe he was doing this. However, he wasn’t about to force her to stay with him if she didn’t want to. “Go ahead. Do whatever you feel like. Fix your clothes, stay in the hot tub, whatever makes your happy. If you would be so nice, just put me back in my normal clothes.”

Allen found the bottle. He picked it out. He glanced over his shoulder at Folly before looking back at the can. He’d really screwed up. He had finally had the chance to make a friend that he’d be able to keep no matter where he went. Really, the ‘wishes’ hadn’t mattered much to him. He didn’t have much more to ask for. Sure, he had plenty of other things he could have thought of, but none of them really mattered quite as much as being alone all the time.

Allen picked up his bag, slung it over his shoulder, walking back over towards the Jacuzzi. He planted the can about a foot from the edge, straightening up. “Well, I guess this is goodbye. I’m sorry for all the grief I caused you.” Allen turned around, walking towards the door. He placed his hand on the knob. He stopped, looking over his shoulder one last time at Folly. “The next person who finds the can will be your next master. I hope whoever it is turns out to be nicer to you than I was. I just can’t seem to do anything right.”

Allen went to open the door. He had a sort of cloud in his head, one of those things that is the onset of depression. Why couldn’t he do anything right? It wouldn’t have taken much. All he had to do is be nice, go along with what she wanted to do, and try and roll with it. It really wasn’t all that much to ask. However, because he got greedy, he had essentially ruined what very well may have been the best chance he had at finally making a friend. He wasn’t quite sure what he’d do now.
