Welcome to the Socerno Academy IC. The OOC can be found here --> click Background Socerno Academy for Extraordinarily Youth is a private high school for mediums, psychics, shape shifters, alchemists, cartomancers, necromancers, voodooists, and other young people gifted in the application of paranormal magic. This school is designed to help the students focus and learn to grasp their talents. People as gifted as the students at this academy are few and far between, many coming from different continents to attend the school. Talent, however, does not always lead to happiness and it is easy for young people to lose their way in these arts. As a result, the academy is very strict. Students are only allowed to go off campus on weekends and vacations. Dorms and roommates are assigned. And all meals are arranged and conducted in the school’s dining hall. Despite all of these efforts the new school year begins with a feeling of restlessness. Many small groups of curious students are breaking the rules and seeing just how “extraordinary” their talents can be. Accepted Students Freshmen: Risani LeRoux, Aliettie Liera Sophomores: Amery Valletti, Max Hinston, Allen Sixx Juniors: Zero Flara, Ira Maran, Leon Noel, Suzi Haynes Seniors: Vicente Garnell, Mako Jow, Zane Allister, Hara Pierdut Boy's Dorm Room 211: Max and Vicente Room 212: Mako and Leon Room 213: Allen and Ira Room 214: Zane and_____ Girl's Dorm Room 205: Amery and Zero Room 206:_____and_____ Room 207: Hara and Suzi Room 208: Risani and Aliettie * * * * * * * * * It's a new year at Socero Academy for Extraordinary Youth. It was announced this summer that all dorms would be reassigned, meaning new roommates for everyone. The first day is purely for settling in and classes won't be started until tomorrow morning. Students are dropped off, left off, flown in and it's pretty clear who the new people are as they try to find their ways through the giant and extravagant halls of this ancient academy. It's mid-morning on just another fall day at Socerno. |

For the first time in a long time Max had felt real-physical cold. It was a gnawing feeling and he didn't like it; after living in the warm sun of California all his life. He was already sad - he had to leave his friends and family behind because of such a minor issue. He kept quiet, though. He had just gotten off of the plane and was only allowed to bring a certain amount of luggage; so many things he missed were sitting in a half empty room in California. His head was sunken low. From what the brocure said about this place, it seemed like a wacked up place - and he felt defenseless if any of these things were true then he had a lot to fear. He was walking into his nightmare. He was currently clothed in the uniform that was given to him and the coat that was included - he had no warm clothing - he stubbornly didn't listen to his parents - only having the long-sleeved uniforms and jacket; the personal clothes he had was simply shortsleeve things. Max was of average height, and had dark black hair. His skin was pale but not the ungodly pale one would get when not going in the sunlight for months; actually, he looked like he had some sign of sun, leaving him red on his face and parts of his hands. He didn't like the feel of the school; it wasn't a casual atmosphere - it was a rather cold and sad place. It depressed him very much. "You're just having a bad day," he'd tell himself, but he wasn't so sure that that was the answer. Onward he walked, until he had found the dorm room he was assigned to live in for the rest of the year. "I hope my roomate isn't here yet..." he thought to himself. He slowly opened the door - success! No one was there. He looked at what his dorm consisted of; two beds, what seemed to be a bathroom, and two dressers, and a closet. Not much; and it was all a boring gray-hue to all of it. There was nothing marvolous about this place, atleast in Max's point of view. He sat on the bed, and, well, started to cry. He didn't like it here. Not at all. |

Spoiler: click to toggle I was in a big black car, shiny as a polished diamond. We were going almost one-hundred miles per hour, for the agents wanted to drop me off as quick as possible. My head was out the window, black-blue hair smacking me in the face as I mechanically tried to take it off. The wind was dry and cold, and it was hard to breathe in the quick atmosphere. I knew why they didn't want me though, it would be obvious to anyone in the government. I was a cold blooded killer after all, turning to kill off criminals since it was the only thing I was really good for. A cast out experiment not needed anymore, a girl without parents or family. I could be some mix up of D.N.A. from the now jailed scientists for all I knew. The car made a gigantic ear puncturing screeched when the agents tried to stop on the dirt road, the rubber burning and making my nose scrunch up from the disgusting smell. However, since the Agents were too focused on Zero and had duller senses, they did not notice the nausea messing up her stomach. Looking out the window trying to calm herself, she made a huge mistake smelling it even stronger. Not even saying thank you as Zero broke down the door with glares and ran out to the school, she didn't look back, not once as she ran up to the front of the school. The car screeched again, as it rode away. Bags in hand, the girl with mountain blue eyes, ( look at the eyes of the snow leopard in spoiler ) looked at the passageways and alleyways of the school. Luckily, since she was in a government facility she had looked at the floor plan of the entire school. Looking at the drab, gray school of stone, Zero instantly started thinking. It would be easy enough to apply the floor plan to the school, but what would her room mate be like? Would she be younger older? Stupider Smarter? Annoying? Strange? would she be, Just like her? Zero shook her head of such troubling thoughts, knowing it was no use of thinking of such stupid things before she walked into the school, a blank looking expression on her face. Before she even got into her room however, she saw a door ajar, a boy definitely in the best of moods for she could hear him muttering to himself in the room. Stretching her back and neck back and craning her head to look through the crack, she saw a very bubbly but at the same time serious kind of boy. What power could he be? Why was he muttering to himself? The blank feelings and face showed him nothing, as she put her stuff neatly in an organized pile near his door. Opening the door all the way, she looked at the distorted boy, look of pain, confusion and sadness on his face. Though Zero was not aware of the feeling of actual feelings, she could recognize them on others. Especially where the emotions were written all over their face. She was one of those people to see a stranger crying, stop what she was doing and ask what's wrong. She often wonders why people don't stop and help them. Coming up to the boy and putting a hand on his shoulder, her teal blue hair falling into her face and black upon her shoulders she whispered," Are you ok? " Her voice was like a sad melody, having the effect of ice but a cooling, refreshing feel. |

Amery maneuvered her way through the courtyard of Socerno on her way towards the girl's dorm. She didn't have to maneuver that much though, she could just sort of just glare and people didn't get in her way. It was a simple defense mechanism really, lots of shy girls used it. Both of her hands held onto the handle of her old leather suitcase, clinging to it as if there were something special inside. There wasn't but maybe just to make people wonder. Except for the mind readers. She had to avoid them like the plague. Once upstairs she brushed open the door of her dorm room. It was empty. She set the suitcase down on her bed and moved her dreadlocks over her bare peach-colored shoulder. She shivered as she opened the suitcase and realized how under-dressed she was. She pulled out a deep red cardigan and put it on. She went to the single window and pushed it open, looking out at the thick woods that made up the backdrop to Socero Academy. She stuck her elbows on the window sill and leaned out, lighting up a cigarette and placing it to her lips. |

As soon as the door had swung open the dears had stopped falling down. He didn't want others to get sad just because of him. That wasn't the case. Nonetheless, it still surprised him that someone had entered into his dormitory; a girl whose eyes in particular were stunning and stuck out the most. This was a caring type of girl, Max was sure of that. Max's sad face shifted into a slight smile; a welcome, come-on-in kind of smile. Max looked at her strait in the eyes. "To be honest..." he said, and then his face shifted to the floor where Max stared down his shoes. "No. I'm not fine. I don't like it here...everything is so....dark...and cold...and impersonal...and you're not even safe here...and you're away from family...and for the longest times...and it's just all terrible! And if the rumors of this place are true then people who read minds come here!! You don't even get privacy here! I don't feel at home!" He said, and sometimes while speaking it'd be a scream; a plead. ANd he needed to vent it out; and it wasn't common for him to this; not common at all. "I'm sorry," he said, looking down, and the tears continued to fall. He was an emotional wreck. |

It was chilly and dull but not as chilly and dull as Dublin was during the fall. Unlike in Dublin, Allen wore a black long sleeve sweater, dark blue almost black skinny jeans, white shoes with neon pink and purple laces, on his hands where fingerless leather gloves. If not for the white cord that led from his pocket to his ears one would think Allen was talking to himself. Allen though, wasn't talking to himself nor lip singing the lyrics to a song, he was talking to the entity next to him cross. Allen words where soft almost silent and his mouth also seemed to hardly move but it was moving. When Cross didn't seem to reply, Allen looked up slightly to look at the dark entity. "Be careful when around the people here, of course I'll help you pin point the dangerous ones." Cross said in a growly hard-to-follow voice. "Eh? Whats wrong with the people?" Allen asked looking around campus." "Some of the people will find out what happened and some will try and kill you." Cross said lying through his demonic mouth but of course he knew that Allen would listen to him. The boy always seems to listen. Allen's eyes widened with slight fear but nodded his head as his hands tightened around the luggage he was carrying. "I get it" was all he said. Approaching the boy's dorm Allen didn't look at anyone, why should he? It wasn't like he could make friends here and he doubted the school advertisement was what it said and was just a gathering for freaks like him who had been fooled. "Why did I bother to come here?" he asked but cross didn't answer. Coming to his room he opened the door seeing that his room mate wasn't there, well that was fine. Allen decided to put his things away then went to sleep. The whether was chilly and the white haired girl dressed in winter style clothing approached the school. A snow while cashmere sweater was hidden under a sky blue slim coat, the pants being dark blue skinny jeans tucked into black suede boots. A scarf wrapped around her neck covering her mouth. The girl's eyes looked cold but in actuality she was scared beyond belief she was away from her Oklahoma home, away from her mom. Her emotions were being held under tight guard not wanting her ability to get out of hand, especially now. For now she listened to music as she headed to the girl's dorm. Hara tried to avoid as much people as possible quickly walking. When she came to the dorm she looked for her room finding it. Walking in she was glad that her roommate didn't show up yet. Unpacking her things and changing clothes Hara laid in bed with a sketch book and drew until she fell asleep. |

His tears had stopped the moment she had walked in, but it was respectable for she had been observing enough that she knew people ether were ashamed for other people to see them cry, or didn't want others to bother themselves with them, make them sad for them. Zero's eyes softened, her face never leaving the boy's face. His smile greeted her, but she did not believe it, for his eyes were filled with pain and his smile was faltering. She wasn't oblivious, she could see emotions and was almost like an empath, but wasn't, she just observed so much because she wanted to feel what she saw. To cry... Why do you cry? To smile... Why do you smile? Crying is asscociated with pain and sadness, as she remembers, and smiles are associated with laughing, and jokes, and happiness. His eyes met hers straight on, which would have surprised her, if she could feel it, since most people falter from her gaze. But this boy, his eyes looked at her head on, string and brave. However, her voice was like the polar opposite. It came out weak and frail, like it could break into a million prices if she said one thing wrong, or even breathed on the boy in front of her. He started a confession, on how he thought the school was drab and scary, he missed his family, he just wanted to go home. She had sympathy for him, a feeling that she was starting to get the feel of, but she couldn't exactly say she felt the same. The school felt like the lab, it's creepy aura reminds her of home, so that didn't affect her. The only family she technically had were test tubes and scientists, who were now in jail, it didn't matter to her. And to go home was to go back to the goverment and she wouldn't look forward to that. But none of the less her sympathy lived on, concern as well for the boy before her. Especially when he broke out in tears. Watery drops collected at his eyes abd fell down, his resistance seeming to fall after he let that out. He muttered an apology, but she didn't care as she wiper her tears with her index finger, slightly smiled, and pit his face in her chest where he cried and cried and cried making her shirt quite wet. But she still didn't mind. Not really. She cared more for the boy than her shirt. Cooing and petting his head, she finally replied,"There is no need to be sorry. To cry is to let out all the sorrow that you contain. No one can blame you for that. And to vent out is to also let something go, to lighten a burden most people should not shoulder. I, may not miss my home, I may not care for mind readers, and I may not care for this place, but your fears are your own. Your sadness is your own. Everyone has different feelings. Don't be sorry. Don't ever be sorry. Zero rested her head on top of his, she was leaning into him since she was standing and he was sitting. She wouldn't leave him until he wanted her to. These people, she had learned, always needed someone to take care of. They can't take care of themselves, they need a partner to take care of them, and they will take care of their partner. Zero.... |

![]() Staring out the car window, Risani wondered what her future at Socerno Academy would be like. Yesterday night's conversation still rang in her head. Mom! Why are you sending me away?! I'm fine here! Ris, dear... we can't have you here until... not yet, you'll understand why when you are there. Her mother and father were sitting on the sofa across from where she was standing, having just come down from her bedroom. What her Risani more than anything though, was the way her parents had looked at her. She saw fear in their eyes. Fear and guilt, the guilt which Risani was still clueless about. Risa. I know it is very confusing and we haven't really told you anything, but know this... we love you, Risani, no matter what we still love you. We will miss you and we hope you come back happy... With this they broke off and her mother started sobbing uncontrollably while her father comforted. Risani, still uncertain and now hurt, went upstairs to finish the rest of her packing. She remembered seeing spots and almost blacking out at one point, but splashing cold water onto her face quickly brought her back. The car came to a halt and Risani snapped back to the present to see the formidable and intimidating Socerno Academy. She got out along with the taxi driver who helped her with her luggage. Once Risani got settled into her room, she decided to explore, keeping herself busy and the thoughts away. Walking down a hallway, Risani heard sobbing. Alerted to this, she tentively tip-toed to the source, which was an open door to a room in the boy's hall. Peeking in, she saw a boy in tears along with a girl who seemed to be talking to him. Suddenly, the boy started talking about mind readers and no privacy. Risani looked around at the atmosphere of the place and realized that it did seem dark and impersonal. However, contrary to the boy, she kind of liked it. Back to the boy, Risani knocked and smiled. "I'm sorry for intruding, and passing by I couldn't help overhearing... what exactly do you mean by people who read minds?" Edited by LavaPup, November 14, 2010, 9:20 pm.

Enter Zane... Zane Alister, one of the many seniors of Socerno Academy. Such a feat to accomplish, but it's not done yet. Most people only wish to be of such high caliber, and with such, it also means near mastery of Zane's powers. Anyone foolish enough to confront Zane would be granted wrath beyond imaginable. Zane has had already arrived before anyone else would have, and there, he chose to wait by his favorite tree overlooking the whole school. It was a nice day at Socerno, a nice day to to enjoy and to breathe in that it was another school year starting. A few minutes and already students are starting to gather, and many more have arrived. Zane, is overwhelmed at how fast the place picks up in a short amount of time. To show off, Zane walked down to the gates of Socerno, hovering off the ground at least 2 feet in the air. It's not surprising to see students showing off, in fact, it was a necessity for at least every student to show off some of their powers. Zane couldn't hold it, he's been waiting so long to talk to friends again, so to avoid huge crowds, he chooses to float higher in the air, so he could literally just "airwalk" over people. Not many are surprised, but to the Freshmen, they certainly seemed to be awed. As he airwalks over the crowds of people, he does so with such joy, energy, and excitement. He looks down and waves to almost every person he comes into eye contact with. He was at least, probably, the most cheerful person in the school that anyone will come to know. Having not seen his friends yet, he just goes around, still walking all over the air, like a hot air balloon ascending the sky, free. Once he reached an open spot, located far off of the quad where it was closest to the cafeteria, he waited and sat by a statue. He didn't know what else to do, so he messed with his powers even more. He saw a rock, sitting there, being all lonely and such. He reached out a palm, and immediately the rock started to hover and it slingshot over to his palm, as he swiftly catches it, he instantly tosses it up in the air, and moved around his fingers around a bit, so the rock would follow it. The reason being? Why, it was Zane's power of course. He has psychic powers, and good ones too. He can even do telepathy, but rarely does he ever, he does not like to abuse his powers in any way shape or form. Making his palm into a fist, the rock instantly crumbled into bits and Zane laughed out loud at how he was amazed by his powers. He never looked so happy using something that anyone from the "outside" world would consider as a bad thing to have. |

Zero looked up, her face becoming duller as her emotions went down the drain. " Goodbye. " She whispered before she opened his window and jumped out, intentionally avoiding the person who came in. She really didn't want more drama. A person, who bothers' others, who doesn't know when to leave someone alone. Landing on both feet from her agile powers, Zero looked around and puffed out her cheeks, breathing deeply before changing into a white beautiful snow leopord, the wind feeling good against her white fur. Zero walked with big paws for who knew how long. She ignored her senses and just walked, people getting out of her way as quickly as they could. Zero would purr when they did as a thanks, but that was a she would do as she walked on and on. She hoped the boy was ok, and he wasn't mad at her for leaving him. She just couldn't take another person being there. She liked one on one better, not groups. Groups reminded her of bad things. Groups were always stronger than one. She's never liked the thought of schools. Zero finally encountered a boy, a happy boy, his back to a tree his power looking like some sort of physic thing. As if she cared. Zero watched silently from the darkness. Waiting. |

It was the day that Socerno Academy reopened its doors. It wasn’t a particularly warm day, which never made Mako happy. Being from the warm island of Hawaii, he was never a big fan of cold weather. Even so, Mako didn’t even bother with a heavy coat. His duffle bag slung over his shoulder, Mako walked up to the walls around the Academy. Though most everyone was entering through the front gate, someone who had spent years walking around the school wasn’t about to get tangled up in the mess of the front door. Mako crept around the side of the wall, heading directly for the rear corner of campus. He adjusted the strap on his bag, slightly discomforted. It didn’t contain much other than some clothes and a few objects he still possessed. Since his mother had essentially disowned him, he had to carry his belongings with him almost everywhere he went. It didn’t bother him much, though. He couldn’t quite blame her for not wanting to deal with him. He had, after all, committed some very heinous offenses. He didn’t expect her to understand who he was. Sometimes, he didn’t quite understand it himself. At least here, at Socerno Academy, it was ok to be different. Everyone was expected to be unique. He fit the bill pretty well. He already towered over most everyone he encountered. Physically, he was the titan of the school. Though that didn’t mean as much as it used to, most people at least thought twice before they crossed him, and he was quite proud of that. It was mostly fear, as he was utterly ruthless when he let himself loose. When he let himself free, he was virtually unstoppable. The problem, however, was that doing so meant that he would literally harm anyone who got near him. Of course, that lack of control was one of the reasons he had ended up at Socerno in the first place. Control had been a huge issue before. Mako had spent countless nights in the wilderness just to prevent himself from killing anyone. Though he was far better at it currently, he still slipped quite often, especially when someone really pissed him off, which happened on a regular basis. At least now he restrained himself to minor injuries. Usually one or two punches was enough to get his point across, even if he was pulling them. At least he knew that now. Mako walked around to the rear of the wall. It was still tall enough where it was out of arm’s reach, even for him. However, that had never stopped him. He tossed his bag over the wall, a quiet thump echoing as it hit. He squatted down, his back bent into an unusually acute angle. He launched himself into the air, his feet easily passing over the wall. He tapped his foot against the wall, just enough to ensure his body passed all the way over. He landed hard, right next to his bag. He reached down, plucking the bag from the ground before he casually walked off towards the dorm. Mako walked in the back door of the dorms within a minute of vaulting over the wall. The campus layout was so ingrained into his memory that he could move swiftly to any location he desired, many times without being seen. He immediately trudged up to the second floor in one of the less used stairwells, quietly pushing the door open to the guy hallway. He groaned. There were already people in here. Mako quietly pushed his way down the hallway to room 212, busting the door open violently. He marched inside, tossing his bag on his bed, roughly. “Always seems to be something around here….” Mako grumbled, hearing a commotion outside. New students were the worst. Of course, he couldn’t blame all of them. Most of them were too confused, many of them too disoriented by their powers to really have a grasp on what they would go through here. He hadn’t been much worse the first time he’d walked through the doors here. In fact, he’d knocked a few people unconscious. Back then, everything pissed him off. He’d get into fights just because someone dared to look at him. Mako walked over to the window, throwing it open somewhat violently. He slid his arm through the window, his large frame barely capable off fitting through. He pushed off, leaping from the building. He landed heavy, though he barely bent his knees to cushion the impact. It was one of the many perks to being who he was, he guessed. Little jumps like that weren’t all that big of a deal to him. Mako straightened up, sliding a hand into his pocket. “Guess I’ll see if there is anyone stirring up trouble. I can’t stand it when new people get cocky.” Mako said, walking quietly around the side of the building, keeping well out of the normal lanes of traffic. He was doubting anyone would bother him. ((OOC: I feel like this is bad, but I think I need to get this posted so I can get into a groove....)) |

Those precious moments of comfort from the mysterious women were gone; she had left through the open window and she jumped, Max went to gaze out of the window; he ignored the girl who had entered into his room for now; he saw her - she was a shape shifter. She had been able to transform into a magnificient snow leopard; a site that was worth seeing. "I'll have to see her again..." he thought to himself; he was sorrowed, but he wanted to be polite. Max didn't look into the eyes of the girl who intruded - he avoided it at all costs. "Yeah...we're in the academy for phycics....so you don't have the comfort of a private mind...be careful what you run though your mind..." he said. and with that, he went and sat down on the bed. He knew what he needed to do; he needed to clear out everything that was consisted in him. He needed to let out the emotion the school had left him; he needed to let out everything...he needed to remind himself of who he was before he would become caught up in the school. But not yet...he had company, and he could wait. |

![]() Risani suddenly realized how rude it was for her to intrude. True, the door was open, but usually stuff happens unexpected. She made a mental note to be more polite in the future and not barge in. However, the exit route taken by the girl was quite strange. The agility was spectacular. The boy replied that there were psychics in this school. Psychics? Why would my parents send me to a school with psychics? I'm obviously not one... Quickly turning, she dashed off slightly embarassed for being so rude. Argh, not a very good start... Edited by LavaPup, November 14, 2010, 9:20 pm.

Unable being able to sleep much longer, Hara looked around, it seemed she hasn't been asleep for long and she had no way of checking the time. Getting up she brushed her hair out and changed her clothes into what she was wearing earlier and headed outside. When she was outside, Hara began to look around and soon ended up lost. Trying to find her way back was no easy task and she ended up more lost. Her emotional state at the moment- not good. Hara knew that if she was to break down, she would have to leave the area but she didn't know if she could leave. Instead Hara gave a sigh and tried to calm down telling herself it was fine, but that small annoying little voice in one's head told her otherwise. Not wanting to waist anymore time Hara tried to find something, ANYTHING, to give her a distraction. Walking a bit she came across a place that seemed to be empty of people but she was wrong when she saw something that shouldn't be right, A rock floating in mid air and upon further observation, it seemed someone was controlling it. Hara...didn't know what to do, should she stay where she was and watching? Go up to the other? The thoughts ran through her mind... but if she stayed where she was and was found out, then wouldn't that person thing she was some form of a creeper? She didn't think she could handle herself if she was called a creeper... Edited by Dragon_Yaoi_Goddess, November 14, 2010, 7:06 pm.

Seconds turned into minutes as Zane played with the pieces of rock. It's like he was juggling them, without using his hands. They were all somewhat dancing in the air, just moving around in circles. A few more minutes passed and Zane started to get bored of his little "show". Abruptly, he dropped the rocks down to the ground, with the dust unsettling towards the crows in the center. He looked around for a little bit, and he saw Mako, at the edge of his eye, doing his normal thing. He always preferred to enter the school in unorthodox ways. But to Zane, that was cool, like himself, Zane entered in without care nor did he hesitate to show off. Zane also caught another glimpse of a girl that was cautiously watching in the shades of darkness. He waved to her as soon as he caught her eye, he shouted in a very happy mood "hey there friend!" to the girl looking over the corner (Zero Flara). Zane knew he was way too happy, happier than anyone would be, I mean, you would think that a Paranormal school would be full of depressed and disoriented kids, because they knew that their powers are not accepted in humanity. But Zane didn't care, he wanted a good time, and he did, no one was about to take that away from him or stop him from having such fun. In fact, Zane's probably the most popular kid in school due to the fact of how long it took him to master certain abilities taught to him. Even the teachers would have been amazed. Having seen the more or less shy girl hiding in the shade, he walked over to her direction and disappeared in the blink of an eye. He really manipulated the essence of his being to move at a faster speed. Soon, he reappeared near the side of the girl he assumed to be a new student. With her guard down, Zane abruptly came from the side of her and screamed "YOOOOOOOOOOOO". (Sorry xD, got a bit too excited. Let's see how Zero Flara reacts.) |

Before Hara knew it, her thoughts caught up with her and was somewhat lost in them. Lost enough that she didn't hear the boy she had been paying attention to caller her out. Actually it wasn't until she she blinked that she realized the rocks had stop floating and that the boy was moving in her direction...then vanished? Like a girl from a comic she looked around slightly and didn't see the other around, but her a yell which startled her enough to jump in the air and loose slight control as the wind carried her into the air. Once she regained her composure, she tried to lower herself to the ground but didn't land to gracefully and ended up on her but. She sat like that before looking around hoping no one else saw that. When she felt she was somewhat safe she sighed and just stayed like that for a moment, then again she was sure she wasn't able to stand properly with how bad she was shaking anyways. |

Watching the boy was like watching a broken record play over and over. But for some reason Zero kept watching, observing as she always has, for, it was different. These people were different. But the question was, how did thet become different? Become like her? Well, sort of. Zero traced the circling rocks and twitched her ears. That was something she could definitely not do, since what she was programmer to do was become a predator of the night, and yes, kill things. Even the goverment thought that was the only thing she was good for. A failed experiment. Zero lowered her eyes for a moment, but she didn't feel sadness or pain like she should. She felt nothing, which MADD her figure out, she was much different than these people. Footsteps. Zero's head quickly snapped to a girl, who, didn't look like the happiest person in the world. What was up with all the sour faces here? Why were they all upset? Nothing here really affected Zero, since well, she could barely feel anything. But instead of coming out of the shadows and comforting the girl, she felt no need to, she didn't seem as upset as the boy, and Zero didn't really feel a pull towards her anyway. All she did was look at her blankly, clearly not amused. Than she remembered, her luggage was neatly stacked next to the boy's door. Zero purred. Maybe she could see him again when no one was there. The boy moved. Her head snapped back to him, the big smile on his face, and she finally felt comforted. Someone, someone had a smile. A thing Zero personally enjoyed the most, even though she was born into a pretty depressing place, whenever Zero would be sucessful in tests and the scientist s would show their rare smiles, it made her entire day better. Seeing others happy was a gift, for she didn't have to do anything. They were happy in themselves, she didn't have to take care of them, or feel the pain they did. However, he saw her, that boy, and instantly Zero's claws dug into the ground making a metalic sound against the rock. ' Dont come. ' Was her message, but he didn't seem to care. When he suddenly disappeared, she could hear the air currents near her, and she could picture his body where the air currents would be disorted. He appeared again next to her, sort of overly happy with a big 'yo.' Zero thought for a moment. What did 'yo' mean? Maybe it was some foreign language hello? Zero looked blankly at the boy. Even if she was a snow leopard at the moment, she could still speak English. " And who might you be, the one with a smile? " The only one. |

"And who might you be, the one with a smile?" such an unusual greeting, said the girl that Zane was hoping to catch off guard, who seemed to be a snow leopard now? Zane was all confused now, one moment he saw a girl, and next she was a Leopard. Zane had a tendency to confuse himself, not really paying attention to the girl, Zane looked around for Mako, the big bad dude of the campus. It's kinda weird, but even Zane was able to make friends with a very uneasy person such as Mako, and from the day they were freshmen, they kinda, just had each others back. It's kind of a mutual respect, even if Zane was just as annoying as he was back then, but Mako seemed to not mind at all. As Zane was looking everywhere, his head snapping left, right and every other direction, he has a habit of getting easily distracted, but that's only because he's bored and nothing serious is happening right now. Zane looked at the Snow Leopard girl, Zane knew she was a shapeshifter after collecting his thoughts to calm down a little bit. "So you're a shapeshifter, I see" he says towards the girl. Having said that, before he could even give her to answer, he disappeared once again, he was like a pinball, bouncing off anywhere and everywhere. Zane's powers are linked to his emotions, if he's happy, his powers are more focused and less chaotic. If he's mad, his powers grow in strength, out of control and are more lethal. By using the same method he used to get to the girl's side, he manipulated his speed once more to travel quickly from the campus, to this tree that was overlooking the school. If anyone looked at the tree, they would instantly see Zane just sitting or laying down on the biggest branch of the tree. It was his usual spot and to get away from all of the commotion. If anyone wanted to talk to Zane, THEY KNEW where to find him. He wondered if anyone followed him. |

Finally calming down, Hara stood up and was about to head back where she came only...she didn't know where she was, the wind, her curse brought her to a completely different area that she didn't even know if she was still on the school ground. Walking in a slow circle, she sighed she was still on school grounds, but where she was a complete mystery. Hara groaned to herself sliding to the ground she was reaching her limit, she wanted to throw a fit or cry but she couldn't. She knew she had to control herself, and that was why she came here. Hara sighed running her hands through her shirt white hair laying in the grass. Hara placed her arms over her eyes wondering if she should risk using her curse so she could have some relief..."No..." she said to herself and sat up looking around some more. |

Amery watched the woods for awhile. She liked that the window in her room looked out at the peaceful woods rather than the bustling quad and front lawn. It's not that she disliked people, not even slightly, it was just the lost look on those freshmen faces or the smug look of the seniors. They were twisted, the lot of them. She sighed and blew out some smoke. She glanced down at the green back lawn. There was a girl there suddenly. A notably cute girl, who seemed confused, almost having some internal struggle. Amery leaned further out the window curiously. Most of her upper body hung out the small portal. Her dreadlocks dangled out in the air freely. "Dangerous." A voice told her. "What, you think I'm going to fall to my death?" Amery asked the anonymous ghost, her deep brown eyes still fixed on the girl below. Ghosts often liked to come up and talk, bother people. There were many at Socerno. Amery and the other mediums had a lot to practice on. "It happened. He fell out the window." "Yeah I met your friend last year. Students who die here have a tendency to stick around... but I'm not going to fall so stop telling me it's dangerous." She blew a ring of smoke out at the spirit, the smoke momentarily showing the outline of a human form beside her. She smirked and went back to staring at the new arrival. "It's not that." The spirit paused and Amery rolled her eyes. "It's her." It teased, indicating Hara. Then it was gone, flying out the window and making Amery's hair sway as it went out. "Her?" The brunette squinted, although her companion was gone and wouldn't reply. Big bluish eyes and soft silvery hair, not very dangerous looking. She leaned out further and one of her hands lost it's hold on the ledge. She fell forward with an umpth, but didn't quite fall out the window, just landed uncomfortably on it. She looked down to see her box of cigarettes fall from the second story and hit the ground below. "Oh Goddammit." she cursed. "Hey you!" she called out to the girl. "Get those for me, wouldya!" It wasn't so much a question, more an order. |

Mako Jow Mako kept close to the buildings, his eyes scanning out over the courtyards and quads. He saw multiple new arrivals, a large number of them were nervous or unsure, though it seemed an equal number of them were quite excited. Mako groaned as one of them demonstrated the tiny bit of pyrokinesis the new guy was capable of. He was quite proud of his ability, gloating about how he had learned that when he was only 8. “Why do freshmen always have to be either arrogant as hell or whiny runts?” Mako grumbled. He felt the urge to go over and pound him in the face, just to get the point across that his ability meant next to nothing here. However, the little guy wasn’t worth the effort. Mako rounded a corner. He immediately spotted Zane, one of the few people who Mako actually spent a decent amount of time with. He had a feeling that part of it was that Zane actually had a level of talent that Mako could respect. Another reason was that he was capable of dealing with Zane was his relatively happy demeanor. Though he certainly had a level of arrogance about him, Mako could at least admire what the guy could do. Where Mako was almost entirely physical in abilities, Zane could do multiple things just with his mind. Zane was excited today. He was darting around like crazy. Mako chuckled a bit to himself. He wasn’t surprised. The guy seemed to have too much energy at times, and the first day always seemed to have this kind of impact on him. He was rushing around a snow leopard. It was pretty obvious that it was a student, considering that such an animal wouldn’t be in this area, and if it was, it probably wouldn’t be staying so calm around people. “It’s gotta be a shapeshifter. Looks like a pretty good one, too.” Mako muttered to himself. He had a decent understanding what it was like to be an animal, though usually, if he did that, he would be a bit too dangerous to be around people. Whoever it was obviously didn’t have the same emotional problems he did. And just like that, Zane was off. “That guy hasn’t changed much. Not a huge surprise there.” Mako said, walking over towards the big cat, his steps perfectly quiet. Despite his gargantuan size, he was surprisingly quick and quiet. He walked up beside it, his shadow fortunately not crossing in front of the animal’s path. “Well hello. You look like you’re new here.” Mako said in his rough voice. He said it pretty softly, for him. “Why don’t cha’ switch back to however ya normally look so I can see whatcha look like.” Mako waited quietly, seeing how the beast would react. Some students would get defensive, others aggressive, others nervous. It was always interesting to see how they would act. |

Hara didn't want to stay here any longer and stood up and looked around as she decided on where she wanted to go but without knowing the way she didn't know and she pondered as she pretty much walked in a circle. Not knowing she sighed closed her eyes and spun. Upon stopping that would be the way she would take, and she stopped about to leave if it wasn't for the fact she heard something fall from above and someone from above pretty much order her to get them. That did not fly with Hara, she was already in a stressed mood and someone ordering her pushed her. "YA know ya'll could ask meh a little mare nicely" she said in the stereotypical Oki twang, she wasn't in the mood to put up with people being rude. |

![]() It was obvious she was a shapeshifter, so why did he have to state it? These new people, were so confusing. Zero wasn't sure how to put them, they were so different. That's all she could say, different. But she was different herself. Too different, so different, that others would leave her alone. Forget her, for she isn;t important. She is a failed experiment. A failure at life, and a cold-blooded killer. The boy left, not even answering his name, and Zero was alone again. Would she always be alone? Zero layed on the ground and put her head between her paws, thinking quietly. She heard him even before he got there. Even if she wasn't looking, she was trained and tested on to make sure she heard every single noise, air current, footstep that occured. It was, the thing she needed to survive, but it also made it harder for people to sneak up on her. Zero lifted her head up slowly, her ears moving wherever she heard that silent footstep. The guy was good, but not good enough. As he appeared before her, she noticed straight away he had too much emotion. It filled her empty space and he was just looking at her. Strange. A man with too much emotion. Is that even possible? "Dear Sir, of course I'm new here. If I wasn't would I be stalking students like you? Or giving dirty looks to freshman like you were? " She had caught him in the spot, as she had said before, she was always observing. Observing so much, that people would be surprised on what she saw every day. Some things she didn't even want to mention. His face of amusement as he asked her to change back. She looked at him blankly. Why was he amused? To see her reaction? At this, she almost made a pained laugh, or she would've been sad, and just a hint of it crossed her nerves before it faded as quickly as it came. 'You wont get one from me.' She thought. 'For I can't feel anything.' " You want to see me as human, sir? Interesting enough. " Stretching like a human, she changed into her human form again, her eyes always remaining the same color, her blank expressionless face always staying the same. |

![]() Amery grinned internally. Whatever that accent was it was cute. She was a sucker for that sort of thing. She hid it though, leaning out and arching her eyebrows at Hara. "Hey I ain't gonna say please sugar." she informed her, feigning a sort of toughness. "But I'd advise not making enemies so quickly." she sounded ominous with the hint of a threat. She'd gotten pretty good at it, seeming very dark when she wanted to, the kind of girl you didn't want to mess with. Yeah, that's what she had to be. Bully or be bullied, right? |

Hearing that Hara wouldn't get the politeness she deserved she placed her hands on her hips. "Than I won't get those fer ya, there bad fer ya anyways." she said her twang didn't stop and she didn't even realize it. Stress, fear, and loneliness swallowed Hara for years and the environment of the school wasn't making it better. Now she had to put up with some person ordering her to do something. Nuh-uh. Hara though somehow managed to keep her emotions, curse in tact and no storms where blowing up. Good right?...Right. Now she had to do something about the person above her ordering Hara to do something. This was not her day. |
