In this time of the Dark Middle ages, Albert was always the Kid who did right.Try to always have approval from his dad. But his dad was a bad daddy. His dad would beat him, call him fowl names, tall him he is worthless, and told him he is the reason his mother killed herself. He was pretty sure the last one wasn't his doing, but his dad made him believe and made him very convince the others are true.

One day, Albert got up enough balls to tell his Father how he felt. This didn't go over so well, it caused more conflict with each other. Albert finally took a pigs head and put all of his valuables into it some bread, a shirt, water, and what little money he saved from his hard labor. And he set off on his own journey. He was making his way to the big City of "The Beewtree" it was the biggest town around, they say the Knights gather here for their meetings and where Kings and Queens dine. King Felibnut rules this land of England.

While he was walking through the big crowded streets of Beewtree, he wasn't paying any attention to where he was walking to and ran into this very big black man, he had many pots in hand ,spoons, and some food he said that he went by the name of Glomb.Albert was in shocked for a moment after, he had never seen a black man, but quickly greeted the man and said sorry for his careless doings. Glomb was alright with it and asked for him to tag along and explained to him that he was a cook looking for an adventure.

The town of Beewtree. I layed my head on my head, looking out the window and enjoying the sunlight. People were laughing and dancing, playing and buying. It was the normal up and bustle of the town. Bur by now, I was not in awe of it. Having been here for around ten years, what most newbies and travelers think is marvelous is only a slight interest for me. I grasped the handle of my sword and turned away from the window, entering the grand doors of the King's bedroom.

" Sir Lance, we have some business to discuss. Stop daydreaming and come over. " My cold eyes looked over to the king in his valiant, fluffy purple robe, and walked over. The man was getting wrinkles, and his hair was graying, but his greed and power showed on his face as if he was only twenty years old. I bowed in greeting.

" Excuse my rudeness, your majesty. May I ask what it is that we discuss? "

I stood up straight again, and waited for his response. The King looked in deep thought for a moment before speaking up, his eyes on me. Trust.

" Im sorry to bother you Lance on such petty matters, but can you get me some herbs from the medicine last on the right side of town? "

I bowed again, replying," Of course your highness. " Before standing up straight, turning around, and closing the big wooden doors behind me.

"Father?" I reached my hand out to him, tears streaming out of my eyes, but he slapped it away, his face scrunching up in disgust. " Dont touch me you filth! Just because of you my wife died! You should die! " He spat in my face, before turning around, guards stricken but struggling to follow behind. I collapsed on the ground abd started whimpering unintelligible words. My father..... Hates me? '

I walked down the huge walkway in the town. People would at times not notice me, but the ones that did would bow in respect or get out of my way. I was of course, the King's personal guard.

On my way, I found some intersting people sticking together. A huge black man, and a white man. That, was abnormal for this town, and I decided to investigate.

" Hello there, mind if I ask what you are doing? L

"Hello, there sir ? We are just out for a strole on the town to get some herbs and meat for out dinner." Glomb responed while he quickly bowed and made Albert bowed with him. They quickly walked away with out making a major scene.

"Albert, that was the knight of the king. You better try to avoid him has much as possible, if not you better watch your tongue and be very respectiful." Glomb stressed very clearly

Albert just nodded in agreement and contiuned to follow Glomb around this new big town, they would shortly leave in time. Once they find the down right outstanding people they want for this journey to the great unknown.

"Glomb! We should make flyers for the expedition, and have additions and the whole nine yards."Albert very highly expressed.

"Albert, that seems like an amazing idea. But I do not think a person would what to addition for an expedition with a black and a white man?" Glomb questioned.

"Well we'll just make them want to!" Albert optimistically said.

Glomb just looked at Albert in doubt.-Glombed sighed in disbelief and contiuned walking-

The sun was setting in the west. A cold breeze was gentle across the town that Isabelle grew up in. Everything was at ease and nothing really mattered to her anymore. All Isabelle wanted to do, was to run away and get away from this royal family that she no longer wanted to be apart of. Everything that Isabelle knew, she'd have to leave behind. It wasn't something she was ready to do, but she wanted to be free so badly. With golden blond hair and blue eyes, standing about 5'5" and small. Her hips curved perfectly along her body, and her hair swayed when she walked.

While staring out her window, she tapped her fingers lightly on the window sill and decided that this was going to be the day that she'd run away from home, into the next town. Grabbing a few things and shoving them into her pockets she waited until she knew that it was going to be a quick get-a-way. She knew that her guard would be off in an hour, and she then would try and make an excuse to go to the garden and then wedge her way through the shrubs that were surrounding it.

"Isabelle" She heard from downstairs. Of course it would be her mother the royal queen calling for her. With her gown dropping to her ankles, and it just barely covering her shoulders. Her golden blond hair hung low past her shoulders as she brushed it at least one more time. Little did her mother know that Isabelle was planning on making a run for it today. She ignored her mother once more, and then walked towards the door looking out as she yelled back. "Coming mother!"

Isabelle rubbed the top of her forehead and walked down the castles stairs attending to her mother who was waiting there. She leaned in on each side of her mothers face, and kissed both cheeks, then bowed slightly lowering her head a bit, and then lifting it back up as she looked into her mothers eyes. Everything was just going to be a blur today, and she couldn't wait to see the expression on her mothers face, when she didn't show up for the evening dinner.

Albert is completely focus on his cheery idea about a flyer, to all the people of Beewtree, he started to work franticly on it, none stop. Day and night, for 3 nights. He wanted it to absolutely bliss, for all the people to see and read. He quickly ran to Glomb to show him, but he had done for the last past 3 nights.
"I can't read Albert" Glomb said ashame-fully

Albert was in a state of shocked for a moment. "You do not know how to read writing? Or write writing, or write what you say or say what you want to write? Why is that" Albert said bluntly

"No one has ever wanted to teach a black person how to read, let alone to teach to write." Glomb quietly said

'Oh? I'm Sorry to hear that, that is dreadful. Well now you can no longer say that, I shall teach you how to read and write." Albert happily said

"I'm looking forward to it Albert Sir" Glomb said while smiling in content.

Once all was said, they went on with there day doing, mischief things around the town, gathering a little bit of money for this expedition. They painted fences, sweep sidewalks, cleaned windows, feed the animals, anything that would pay an extra buck for them. While they was walking on their way home from this hard day of work they ran into that one Knight that had stopped them earlier this week. There was no way of avoiding this, this time it was unavoidable.

I was out for the sudden company I guess you could say. I had finished everything I had needed to do quicker than I usually do, and was standing in the middle of the bustling streets, just enjoying my minutes of freedom and the illusion of being normal. Some would say that it was a gift to not be struggling for money and food everyday, to be spoiled rich by the King and his family. Respected, known. In their prospective, yes, I guess it could be admirable. But in my prospective, no. To have a family to welcome you with open arms every time you come home, no matter what happens they are there to comfort you, you eat home made cooking from your very own mother made with love, your father bellows and laughs at the table as he makes the stupidest joke ever. I wanted a true family, not a pampered King to take care of.

I sneezed, instinctively putting up my hand as a delicate sneeze exited out of my nostrils. I flinched and hoped no one was watching me, before I put my hand down by my side and sighed. Some habits just never left I supposed. A rumor that was able to get to my ears however made me strain my senses as I listened to two woman around the corner.

" A white and black man are taking all the unwanted jobs. Anything for money. "

" Isn't that strange? WHo in the right mind would work with a black man anyway? "

" I don't know, but it's spreading around quickly. "

So the people that had avoided me last time were making their rounds. Interesting.... I turned around to report this to the King, when speak of the Devil the pair that they were talking about ran into me. Their bodies impacted my armor, and I almost pushed them back with my arms, but thought not and stepped back a few steps. I bored down on them, before softening my eyes up a little. Maybe that was it. Was I too cruel to everyone else? Was that why they avoided me? Or was it that I was the King's Guard and they thought I would hurt them? I could've frowned, but it only happened inwardly, for who would take seriously an emotional general/guard?

" Ah , its you guys again. " I announced, somewhat coldly as I fiddled with my armor. It was a bit heavy to my liking. And even though I was pretty tall, men always stood high upon me. I looked up to them, maybe three or four inches taller. Is 5'8" really that short?

" I assume you aren't out for herbs and food for dinner, since I was actually on my way there last time, and I did not see you there the entire time I was there for an hour. " Suspicious. I was tapping my foot, staring at them accusingly. Something wasn't right. What was the money for? Why were they scurrying around the town like theives? They looked pretty harmless, but you really couldn't tell. I didn't notice I was glaring at them, when i softened my eyes again and looked away.

" Well, I - " My voice broke from it's authority feeling, and it almost sounded sad. I said nothing else, afraid I might let out too much emotion, a taboo for my reputation. I clenched my fists and looked down for a bit, before looking up to them, blankly this time.

"Excuse us Sir, We don't mean to be of harm or bother. We were just making our way back to our camp Sir" Very carefully, and a tad startled Glomb had said in reply.

Before you know it, Albert has went on, and told the Knight of the King our silly ,oh so very silly plan about our little small expedition. Before Glomb could stop Albert from saying anything it was already to late, all the words sweep right out of his month, in excitement I do suppose. Glomb at this moment feared for his life, a black man, would never dare try to leave his duties here, You did, you died end of story.

You would think the Knight of the King wouldn't hesitate, and say off with these two's heads. But this Knight was not like the other, Glomb had encountered, He was more scuttled then the other, kinder, more intimidating but better. As more of if he actually enjoy this little wee silly plan of a expedition of ours. He kinda smirked with what appeared to be happiness.

This had made Glomb really wonder why, the Knights reaction was soo scuttled, why he looked a bit pleased.

When Isabelle realized that it was just a matter of time before the dinner that her mother was planning she had to come up with a way to get into the other town. When she followed her mother into the living room area she greeted the others that were there and did her usual speach. "I Isabelle, will be crowned as Princess tonight." As much as she hated the fact that she was going to be the Princess, she said it with a smile on her face.

After the greet, Isabelle mentioned to her mother that she forgot something upstairs in her room and she absolutely had to have it. While nodding off the others, she quickly ran upstairs and grabbed the bag that she already had packed and ready to go. Undressing out of her dress that seemed to flare out at the ends, she threw it on top of her bed, and pulled a hoodie over her self for warmth just in case it was cold outside.

Quickly Isabelle climbed out of her window, knowing the bodyguard was still at her door watching and protecting. As soon as she was out, she closed the window quietly and then climbed down the big birch tree that was beside the window. The air was crisp, but it was perfect for her. She didn't care if she were to get sick. She quietly ran through the bushes that were tied together surrounding the castle careful not to get caught.

Finally, making it past them-- she started to run into the nearest town next to her. That town being Beewtree. She wasn't sure what she was to find there, but it was better than living a life that she didn't want to live. After about an hour of running the town sign came into view. "Welcome to Beewtree." It was refreshing for her and she then promised herself that she wasn't going to worry anymore about being perfect for anyone.

When upon entering in, she noticed a few buildings that were there, surrounding her. She was curious on what they were, but she never stopped. Going deeper into the town, she finally ran into the center of it. She quickly looked around and hoped that no one would notice her. She tried to act normal around everyone else just so it wouldn't look obvious that she was royal. She then pulled her bag over her shoulder, and shoved her hands into her pockets and walked towards the nearest tree that was there.

The tree would be her safe haven if anything were to happen. It seemed to be big enough to cover her completely and blend her in. She quietly kept to herself, and then leaned against it, slouching down to the ground and pulled her knees to her chest. She wondered how long it would take her family to realize that she was gone. She knew it would be soon that they'd be sending out horses and men to look for her. Looking ahead, she saw two men that were talking, but then looked back down quickly before they noticed her.

The black man was nervous, as most people should be. Anything bad and I could tell them off to the King, or as mercy kill them off right there since I had the authority. But I wasn't irritated, frustrated, or even mad, I had a blank look on my face like I was bored, and it really did nothing to scare anyone. I sighed, kicking the ground before looking up again. I supposed reputations could take the entire view of someone. I may be cold-hearted, quiet, and non-feeling as the King calls me, but I'm not a fan of killing people.

" You don't mean of harm or bother dear men? Oh but I never mentioned it occured to me that you were. Did you really, or are you hiding that you really do hate me? That wouldn't be a surprise... "

I flipped my hair and looked away, somewhat confused. Than the littler white man started talking non-stop, as i turned to him in a surprised sort of way as I listened. An expedition, is what i would sum up, over the rushed many words of the man's mouth. It could've been irritating to my past masters and senpai's, but to me, it was entertaining. The King had always told me I was too mellow and kind to ones that were the worst. I tilted my head like a curious cat, for the black man was now tense, and i surely knew why.

Black men were like slaves. They were to never leave their duties, ever, as a rule in the entire kingdom. Everyone knows it. Just the mention of the idea gives me the permission to slice off their heads. I gripped my sword, my eyes darkening, the way my duty always called to me. A smirk spread across my lips, often mistaken as happy for me, which I guess you could say sick amusement instead of happy. But the turning of lips is always a surprise on my face, so I could see why people would mistaken it for happiness.

I gripped my sword tighter, willing myself to unsheath it, when I stopped. For some reason, I didn't want to kill them. It was as if my body had frozen in shock. What do you mean you don't want to kill them? You've killed plenty of people! My mind kept telling me, but it would not will my body to move. I let go of my sword and looked down. What was happening to me? I cleared my throat and stood up straight.

" Well you know the consequences for that sort of thing -- " I started to say before I felt eyes on me, as my eyes were swift to discover a girl. A familiar girl with familiar eyes, if I would say something about it. I shook it off, probably imagining things as I looked back to the men. I couldn't kill them, it was strange but I couldn't.

" I guess I'll tag along, there is nothing better to do here anyways. It would just put more lives on my list staying here. "

Albert and Glomb quickly realized what the Knight was looking at, that young girl was over there all curved up with his knees buried up in her chest. Albert wanted to go over and asked the young girl if she was alright, needed a place to say. He began to walk over, but the knight quickly looked at him with this glare of instant fear into his soul. But you think Albert actually notice this glare? No, not at all he didn't even pay attention to the Knight.

He quickly went over, and explained him self to the young girl. He went over everything, the expedition, Glomb, and the Knight they keep on running into.

" Well Miss, Do you want to tag along? With Glomb and I?"
