The year is 3176 and the human race is dying. Demons are taking over, and only a small band of people can fight them, called the Shani. They are the only ones with the ability to fight the demons. There are swells of victories and losses on both sides. Now there is peace as both sides regroup their forces. Which side are you on? Demons, who want to rule, or Shani, who protect?

While the skyscrapers stood tall, something was now indeed lacking in their structure. That something was, without a doubt, life. The Dying City - named for its now almost completely desolate atmosphere - had lost it's pride as a civilisation. There was nothing left of any small establishments, and now, as an entire millennia has passed by since the beginning of the War, even the skyscrapers were beginning to crumble without maintenance. It was true though, that any chance of reviving the city - Hell, reviving the world - was a dream abandoned by even the maddest of men.

Sitting atop the tallest point of the Dying City - actually the former New York City - was a single being. A being with liberating white wings and half a smile - both of these things deemed unwelcome and unfit for this place. She could see the destruction and neglect below her, the trees in Central Park having overgrown and crossed their boundaries, entering and claiming the streets as their own. Buildings crumbling and street lights crashing to the ground. The sky seemed as though someone had thrown crimson paint across it - they wouldn't have been far off.

Fatalia now frowned down upon the lifeless wreck with disgust and regret, her half-smile completely wiped from her Angelic features. The top was quite the lonely place to be, for a human. Lucky for her - she wasn't one of those poor creatures. No, there were barely any of those left at all. It was ironic; Humans had been responsible for the extinction of many precious creatures over the thousands of years they'd walked the planet. And now, they were facing it themselves. Guess the tables had really turned on them.

The white wings flapped once, and within seconds Fatalia was hovering, ready to move away from the depressing sight. "This World.." she grimaced, a tear rolling down her cheek. "Is rotting."

One of the last forests. The trees spreading high off the ground and reaching toward the dying sunlight. No clouds rolled in, to give them water. They reached higher, higher they went, to humans they wouldve called it huge and named it some stupid name like 'big.' The humans had killed this pitiful place, but at the same time I still faught for them. Not because I completely adored humans, but because I absolutely hated demons.

In the small wolf form that looked like a normal wolf, a black wolf with strange silver markings walked along the floor of the Redwood Forest. It dud look like it was bleeding indeed. There had not been water for some time, so the trees had been sucking selfishly and hungrily from the ground, killing grass and flowers that have grown near them. But now they had very little left. It needed to rain. But no matter how much the trees cried, not one cloud rolled in across the matching crimson sky.

I walked towards my hometown, shifting amd stretching as my form became what looked like an innocent girl with black hair and striking blue eyes. I had a red rose in my hair, and my full red lips popped out against my pale skin. I was in a most elegant but childish silk white dress, and I wore no shoes. I smiled as I skipped toward my little house on the outskirts of town. The Shani payed me no mind, for they have always seen me go into the forest. I walked up to my door, opened it, lit the fireplace so I could do my laundry before...

' AHHHH! '

A womans scream interrupted the calm and I ran out the door with no time to lose. She was being chased by a low ranked demon, so easy I didn't even have to shift. Patting her shoulder and telling her to get into her house, I grabbed the surprised demon by it's neck, smirked and squeezed. The head flew off creating red ' fireworks ' staining me and making me look bloodthirsty. Sighing i muttered as I was cleaning up the body,' I guess I have more laundry to do.'

A dark figure, that seemed it didn't belong wandered along the outskirts of the city. He wasn't sure of its name, but it tickled his memory as if he knew the place well, as if he grew up there. It was possible, he was several thousand years old, but his memory was faded. He walked, glancing at the city, trying to remember why it was familiar.

He stopped walking at the top of a hill, and turned to face the city. He cocked his head to the side, the city become less of a foreign object and more like a childhood home every moment. He sat and let his eyes zoom into the city's buildings. He saw a figure hovering in the distance, just above the tallest point. He could tell it was white, but nothing beyond that.

Leo, for that was the man's name, looked away from the figure when his highly tuned ears hears a scream. He was surprised, but didn't stand. He turned back to the city, trying to find the figure again.

The Angel flapped her powerful wings gracefully among the skyscrapers. When the scream echoed through to the air space she was in, Fatalia halted in her tracks, creating a small gust of wind as she came to a stop. The scream - however distorted - sounded human. "Finally." she sighed, flying off in the direction from which the sound had resonated. She would finally able to perform her duties. A warm smile reappeared on her face, her mood suddenly completely altered. She rather enjoyed her life - being an Angel of Death.

As she flew, the girl felt an impulse; specifically, she wanted to sing. The cool breezes continued to rush past her, her long red hair flowing behind her. Making her decision, Fatalia inhaled before letting out the first note...

"Careful what you do..
'Cause God is watching your every move.
Hold my hand in the dark street,
for if you do I know that I'll be safe."

The tone was indeed seprical; filled with depression and death. But at the same time, there was something about it that sounded... kinda sweet. It wasn't a very well known song, and even less known now with the wiping out of most of the human race. In fact, the song had probably been long forgotten - lyrics lost and left to become ancient and dead, like the humans soon would be.

"Even if I'm far away, and alone
I can be sure that you'll find me there
This, I know."

Before she could finish her song however, Fatalia finally caught up with the scene with the scream, arriving just in time to see the culprit shying away from her attacker, who would've developed quite the split personality if he'd survived his beheading. He'd been a demon, no doubts there, but the one who'd screamed - she was human, and on her last legs by the look of it. Landing next to the clearly traumatized girl, Fatalia rest a hand on her shaking forehead.

"Be at peace, Human. You've come to the end of your life - but fear not. I will send you to the White Paradise, where you will no longer feel sadness, pain or suffering." The girl looked the Angel in the eyes, all her fear stopping in it's tracks and a smile now placing itself on her face. It wasn't an odd sight - many humans would rather beg for death these days. It was just before they die when the Demons would attempt to recruit them. But they would not get this one.

"Heavenly, White Paradise.." breathed Fatalia as she stood, her trusted Scythe appearing in her right hand. She closed her eyes as she began her prayer. "Please accept another soul into your loving embrace. Grant me the strength, power and will to send her on this journey." As she opened her eyes, she noticed that the human girl had tears in hers, but they were not representing the grief at the end of her life, but the joy of being able to leave this dreaded planet behind. Taking her Scythe in both her hands now, Fatalia raised the curved blade and held it to her right. With a single swing, the human was gone.

"Receive her with open arms." Whispered Fatalia, her Scythe disappearing and a smile on her face. She did not mourn the passing of others; it made her job difficult.

I turned, to hear and feel the sounds of fear drift away. The human was gone. Were there more humans? I calmly looked up to this angel, not really surprised by the distance and encounters of different races by now. Many races have been showing themselves, and it was no surprise to me that an angel was here. My blue eyes watched over this angel, not sure wether she was bad..or good. Sure, angels did have to power to help humans, but some could trick you just as easily as a fox can.

I licked the blood off my hand, already 'disposed' of the demon body. Yes, I had eaten it. In my wolf form of course, for it tasted strange in this form, but it was the only thing I would eat. Besides forcing myself to eat human food if I visited humans, or was at a Shani village. But back to the point. What was an angel doing at a Shani village? But more importantly, was she a demon? Was she Shani? Was she on the Demons side? Who knew really, and just the thought of her being evil, wouldn't surprise me ether.

I skipped over to this anger, with a smile on my face. The blood had disappeared, I had licked it till it was clean, and my smell was masking my last meal. I looked, smelled, and even felt like a normal human girl. And that, technically, was what I was. I masked a look of fear as I inched slowly closer to her, and stopped two feet away.

" U-Um what did you d-duh do with S-Selena? "

I shuffled my feet and looked down, avoiding eye contact out of 'fear.'
'I could snap her head off in one bite.'

I looked up again, my eyes were an empty blue, but they had a look of innocence with them, as what came with this body. Yes I could actually look 18, but I chose over a child body most of the time to look innocent. Usually, if i needed to seduce anyone I would use my older one.

Fatalia spun around quickly, her uncannily sunny disposition plastered across her features. A little girl.. but surely not a human. The Demons would've caught and killed her by now. No human could stand up to them, let alone care enough to save another one of their kind. Their race was very sick in that respect. The features were all there, with the emotions of fear to boot, but there was no mistaking this was a facade; not the real thing - Angels (specifically Angels of Death) had a sixth sense or sorts for humans.

The one she'd sent to paradise? She'd been real. This little girl, not so much. "I'm just fufilling my purpose, Sweetie. It's my duty to send Humans that are at the end of their lives to the White Paradise. I'm an Angel of Death." The girl's blue eyes seemed to be the only colour - besides red - that could be seen for miles around in the Dying City - everything was black and white at night time. It was refreshing to see a change, heck it was even welcoming.

The Angel smiled down at the girl, placing a gentle, weightless hand on her head. "Mind if we take a walk for a while? It's kinda lonely out here." There was no ulterior motive other than Fatalia just wanted to see what this girl could do when put into a volatile situation. And in this city? It was certain that a volatile situation would be showing itself soon. Demons loved the taste of humans - even if what looked, smelled, even seemed human wasn't even human at all.

Leo sighed when he couldn't find the figure again. He stood and brushed himself off. He looked around and wondered where that scream had come from. He ran off into the trees, as fast as he could. He slowed when he approached the scene.

He saw a young girl and an angel of sorts. He looked at the 'angel' and was unable to determine if it really was a demon or not. I'm losing my touch. I've been on the surface for too long. Leo sighed and settled in to watch this scene play out.

Kallie was walking through a forest. It was a large forest probably the last of its kind. The trees were large redwoods. They had grown without the interference of humans and were now massive. They much resembled the skyscrapers in the city not far off. Kallie chuckled at the thought. Something so beautiful being compared to what a human had made. It was a ridiculus notion and one hat should have never been thought in the first place. She was in here waiting for something to happen. Like always she prefered the forests instead of the deserts that surronded the crumbling cities. If it didnt rain soon then thats what the whole world would be a desert.
This world was dying and soon it would be uninhabitable. Well to mortal beings that is. In her case she quite enjoyed it here. The underworld was quite to hot for her liking and this was a lot cooler than there. As she was walking through the tree she felt a drop of water. Now that was strange it couldnt possibly be rain now could it? As she looked up through the canopy covering the sky more and more drops of water escaped down splashing her on the face and hitting the ground. The cracked ground soaked the water up greedily.
Now this was a sight. It had not rained in the five years since the peace had started. Maybe this was the sign she had been waiting for. There was a nearby Shani village. They would be distracted by the rain and she could attack. No one would suspect her for a demon. She looked like an Angel of Death. Though she didnt like being assossiated with the Demons she didnt liek being refered to as a Shani either. If anyone were to know much about angels then they would realise that her blood red wings were not normal, but angels were a rare occurance these days so most of what the others knew were all folk tales.
Kallie quietly crept through the forest until she came upon the Shani village. She watched as an Angel and a girl walked out of the settlement. Surely that angel would know that I am no longer among thier ranks. I must wait until they leave. She thought as she watched the retreating figures. The Shani in the village were all outside staring at the sky with incredulous looks upon thier faces. If not for her willpower she would have already jumped the nearest one and been on to her second or third kill.

I could smell more smells. More people. The Angel was the least of my worries. I lost my innocence and became my age, my wisdom and cautiousness filling my face almost too quickly. I clenched my fists, and my nose scrunched up in disgust. My cold teal eyes pierced the Death Angel like my own personal daggers. " I see you have noticed, so I will not play with you anymore. I agree, it is quite lonely. " It was. I had been away from my kind for so long, and even worse, they were all dead. I had roamed with the humans for years, but all they would do was worship me. So I decided to play an innocent little girl, and now they completely ignore me. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up, and my human ears still slightly tilt to the forest.

" But I cannot accompany you on our little...'walk'. It is my duty to protect this town, no matter how hard it is. You may be a death Angel, but I do not know what side you are on yet, nor have I known you for very long and I do not trust you. " Smells, drifted into my nose and I wanted to throw up. It had taken me years to finally resist the smell of humans, since my kind eats their souls, but ... other races were disgusting. Revolting. I cleared my throat and continued, but rain started to fall on top of me and I looked up and smiled somewhat. The forest wouldn't fade away. Thank the heavens. Humans ran around worshiping the sky, but had to get back to business.

" If I have to kill you, a Fallen Angel, and a Vampire, I might as well. I will protect this village. And I will not, let you get them. " My eyes turned to the forest. I could not see them, but the smell gave them away. Stupid. " Ahh and I needed to do some laundry. " I said, becoming a child again and puffing out my cheeks in disappointment. I put my hands on my hips and shook my head, giggling. " Well, I guess it's play time. " I cocked my head like a bird, and cracked my knuckles, before my eyes hardened again and I smirked. My hair had become darker and scarier, now that it was wet and my face was damp. I looked ready to kill.

" Let the games begin, Demons. "

The Angel wasn't in the least surprised that this human wasn't human; not a single reaction of astonishment came when the girl shifted her form, or rather grew a little older. What was rude however, was that the girl was staring Fatalia down, like she wanted her dead or something; rip her throat out and be done with her. The Angel, as far as she was concerned, had done nothing wrong. So why was there such animosity being thrown her way? It was just plain nasty.

She clenched a fist when the shapeshifter called her a 'Death Angel'. Political correctness was apparently something she'd been deprived of. Angels of Death were very proud creatures, and to just pass them off was not smart; regardless of what side you were on. This girl knew nothing about her or her kind - and her lack of knowledge made her very rude. Wasn't it common knowledge that Angels of Death were loyal to Shani, and had been for a thousands of years - even before the beginnings of this war? And was it not also obvious that if an Angel lost their way, their wings became bloody, broken and useless? It was *so* easy to tell what side an Angel was on.

Fatalia shook her head, not happy about the lack of respect she was being shown. But as the rain began to fall, she began to cool off and go back to being her normal, happy self. The humans ahead were running around frantically, shouting out to the sky as if their precious "Heaven" was opening up. Fatalia could feel their heartbeats, the blood pumping faster through their veins. The mere sight of that would cause any Demon Vampire to burst into a frenzy. They wouldn't be thinking clearly, merely after something to satisfy their thirst. They would be incredibly vulnerable.

Now the girl was shifting form again, sniffing out a Vampire; as Fatalia had expected. But, a Fallen Angel? Fatalia nearly screamed. If she knew the difference between an Angel of Death and a Fallen Angel, surely she knew which side of the faction fence either of them sat! Her own Angel blood began to boil now, and Fatalia was ready to take something down. She couldn't attack the shapeshifter, despite her lack of respect and a bounty of rudeness. It looked like she'd have to take down her Fallen comrade. The vampire was no threat, she could feel that presence of Death simply sitting by.

"I can't see them, but the Vampire; regardless of his side - is no threat to us. He's just a spectator. We don't kill what isn't a threat." She clarified to the shapeshifter. Lifting her left arm to chest height, Fatalia hissed as a Longbow appeared, arrow primed and ready. A quiver filled with countless arrows appeared on her back. While the rain was keeping her calm and focused, it was becoming heavy and most visibility was going. The fight wouldn't be easy if noone could see anything. Fatalia knew for a fact that she was the only one who could fly; an advantage. And once again, there was no way either of them would be able to see in this weather..

I actually smirked in amusement. I could read emotions well, and her anger showed on her face quite clearly. Definitely a Shani. She wouldve killed me by now. I yawned and shook myself, water drops flailing everywhere but nothing happened, for the rain still fell on me, and I frowned. Yes I was happy that the forest would live, the trees already seemed to be brighter, and the ground actually looked like dirt. But.... I hated rain. It felt like the heavens were crying whenever it did, and whenever rain fell on me I felt the weight of a million sorrows. So, I still hate rain.

Actually, one of my own teardrops fell out of my eyes like crystals, and joined the other sorrows to the ground. I put my hand near my eye and wiped off the moisture, before sighing and just shaking my head. I has been rude, but it was for my own personal reason. I couldn't trust anything anymore, and the face that I didn't trust someone I had just met, seemed normal to me. I admit, I had been pretty harsh in my facial expressions, words and eyes, like when I said I would kill her but, ... I sighed. Everything I did always turbed out wrong.

I can't do anything

I solemly looked to the Angel when she took out her bow and slightly smiled. How ironic, Angel's with bows. For a second I had imagined a harp in her hand..... You know where i'm getting at. I looked up to the sky, the sorrows dropping into my eyes and stinging like no tommorow. I decided to look ahead again. When she warned me of the vampire, I nodded, and made sure to keep him at the edge of my senses so I wouldn't kill him accidently. Huffing and puffing, I grasped my arms and screamed in pain for, everytime I became big, it was painful.

My soft innocent hands suddenly became much bigger, as fur sprouted from the naked skin, and the thin fingernails became thick claws. My feet did the same, as my arms and legs stretched and stretched, fur erupting there two and covering my body like a wildfire, as my legs and arms only became wider and I put my front paws on the ground. My body became bulky, and covered itself with silver strange markings, each of my kind always had a distinct color. My head stretched and opened, my eyes becoming almost white and my teeth stretching so long and pointy it looked like I could crush anything. My scream became a howl and than, I was finished. Shaking off the sorrows, I could now see the Fallen Angel.

The humans all had sparkles in their eyes when they saw me, and now that they knew what I was, they would worship me too. ' Dammit. ' I thought in my head. ' I have to move again. ' Pure instinct made me want to kill them, but I controlled my thirst. " Fallen Angel, " I called out to the minds of both angels, not wanting to scare the humans. " You should be honored. I changed for you. " My smirk was eerie, and it stretched across my lips and showed my razor white teeth.

Leo sighed and stood. He was getting confused at this conversation. Besides, he was hungry. He silently turned and walked away.

The rain was causing what life was left to hide. The world was dying and if life here died, then most other species would die as well, including him. He sighed and tried to pick p a scent, but he was unable to find anything. His stomach hurt, it had been too long since he last fed.

Leo headed towards the Shani village, they were all outside. He looked and tried to decide if any were far enough away for him to attack. He watched for a moment, hoping there was a female near the edge that he could convince he was good.

He found one, and snapped a twig. He was close enough that she would hear it, but too far away for the other to hear it. He smiled as she headed towards the sound. She headed into the woods, closer and closer to Leo.

He stood and greeted her, enjoying her scent. He gave in to inner predator and attacked her, enjoying her screams. He finished quickly and left her body laying there. He had drained her body, and it was useless to him now.

He knew the echo's of the girls screams were everywhere now, and he silently hoped that none came to investigate.

Kallie heard a loud scream that came from inside the village. It did not sound human so she suspected somethign different. Thats when she felt it, it was a srange presence one she had only felt once before a very long time ago. She knew the presence was dangerous, but the rain blocked all view. So surely the being would not be able to find her.
Kallie then heard another more human scream. This time it was a lot closer and it sounded like it was on the edge of the village. She had sensed the vampire some time ago so she was not concerened with that scream. However she was concerned in making her own screams. She felt the familiar tug at a strange presence as a blood red bow appeared in her hands. It was much like how angels got thier numerous weapons, but the presence had a toll. Each time she used it her mind became more distorted. She drew a menacing looking green tipped arrow and notched it on her bow. She could not see where she would be firing but she soon heard an all two familiar scream of a Shani.

Everything happened then, and the screaming was almost deafening. It probably wouldn't have been so bad had it just been one person. Fatalia closed her eyes and attempted to just block the sounds out. Tch, I can't concentrate with all this noise! I have to get to higher ground.. she thought, her wings taking her up high into the rain filled skies. It was then she opened her eyes, and noticed that the left side of her vision was almost completely blocked by the gigantic wolf that now stood beside her - taller than most of the skyscrapers situated not too far away.

The howling ceased, and finally Fatalia felt her focus returning. That was until the wolf began sending telepathic messsages. Wait.. she should be honoured because she decided to alter her form? Hardly. she thought, not really worried about whether her fellow Shani had heard her. While the packs and tribes who could transform into wolves were for the most part, dead and gone; Shapeshifters were not hard to come by. All you had to do was delve deep into the many forests of the world. They'd all be different animals, no doubt. But there was certainly no chance of a shortage race-wise.

Regardless of all this, it was time to investigate where that scream had come from. Fatalia's eyes flew wide open when she realised the Vampire's presence had shifted closer to the camp. Within a second, it all made sense. The creature hadn't been able to resist its thirst. The Angel rocketed down from the sky, arrow aimed at the feeling of death. It was highly unlikely that she'd hit the creature, but injury was not the girl's intention. "Get away from these villagers!" She screeched, letting the arrow fly at amazing speeds. The fact that she'd already been moving at high speed made the arrow fly at terminal velocity. If it somehow did hit the target - and if it hadn't been a vampire - there was no chance of survival.

"Find the Fallen One and try to take her down!" called out to the wolf-girl. "Be careful. She's dangerous!" Fatalia knew who they were up against when it came to that opponent. She had been... dismissed from The White Paradise not long ago. It was obvious now that she was working for the other side. And if the Angel knew anything, it was that Fallen Angels were *almost* as deadly as their Shani counterparts. Hard to kill, but certainly not impossible.

I growled a bit. Yah I could hear the other's thoughts. Circling in only the Angel's mind, I sighed. ' Its just the fun of the moment. And, if you've seen this kind of thing before than... Good-for-you.' I growled, not in the best mood to sympathize with an Angel hurting my pride. I scoffed and suddenly my ears picked up the sound of a bow, and I wondered if it was the angels or the fallens for I couldn't be sure in the stupid rain, but suddenly, I seemed to pinpoint where she was.

I put my paw down where I thought she was and was surprised to find a body under it. I used my long pads to curl around it and pull it up. I looked at it with curiousity, before putting it down before it could poke my eye out. It didnt look able to fly, so I dropped it and let it land on it's own. I wasn't sure if I even needed to be in this form to finish this Demon off, but, I guess I would just have to take that angels word. I snorted. That's so revolting. I shook my pelt, making more raindrops fall everywhere, but it was ok. There were just dancing upon the fallens head.

Shit Leo thought as he turned and ran into some under brush. He was trying to hide, not escape. If they thought he was long gone than he could leave and go back to wandering the remains of the world in peace.

Leo curled into a ball, under the bush. He hoped that they wouldn't seach too deep for him. If worse came to worse, he could always let him out. The one Leo hoped never to see again. Leo shook his head, pushing those thought from his mind.

It was hard to see anything in this downpour. Kallie could barely see two feet in front of her face. This was bad but with any luck this would give her a chance to escape. She turned and started to run. She got but a few feet before she heard trees crack and fall to the ground. She turned around and saw a Shani charging towards her. When she looked up she noticed a giant paw. The paw was coming right towards. She needed to get out of the way or she would be crushed.
The Shani yelled something at her but she was unable to make it out as she rolled off to the side. She felt a branch fall on top of her and she heard the Shani scream. It appeared the paw had crushed the unlucky bastard. The branch on top of her constricted her movement. She tried to roll out from under it but it was useless. She then noticed the vampire as it dived under a nearby bush. She called out for help but was unsure of whether he heard it or not.

I snorted and shook my head. Meaningless fighting. She could try to kill me, I wouldn't care. Shrinking down into my child form, I flipped my hair and started to walk toward her, casually but not quite friendly. I saw her under the huge branch, which would be easy for me to lift, but it was a conflict of if I actually wanted to. Stepping back and weighing my options, I sighed and giggled a bit. Putting my hands under the log, I lifted it up amd put it aside with great effort, for it was quite heavy. I was sweating somewhat and breathing deeply, but she was now free. I closes my eyes.

" I hate demons. But this is a meaningless fight. I'm only protecting what I live for now, so you are allowed to leave as long as you don't hurt anyone here. "

I didn't know why i didn't leave her there to die. Maybe I wasn't as cold as i thought I was, but I really didn't want so much blood on my hands. Even if it was a demon, killing them would only make me like them myself. A murderer. I looked up at the Fallen Angel and tilted my head in question, closing my eyes again.

" So, you going to kill me or try to leave or what? " I asked, softly.

Meanwhile, Fatalia continued her hunt without hindrance. The Fallen One and the Shapeshifter had found each other, and screams echoed through the forest. Despite this, it was unclear who was winning really. The Angel soon landed, instantly spotting the arrow she'd fired from high above. It stood lop-sided in the ground, halfway buried. Her eyes traced the trajectory back, impressed when she saw a single, small hole through a tree that had apparently been in the way of the arrow. She'd known they were strong, but this was interesting..

Back on her trail, Fatalia retrieved her arrow from the ground, careful not to make too much noise. While the vampire would be stupid to try and take her blood - poisonous specifically to the undead - it would've also been stupid to let her guard down. Silence now engulfed the forest, and the breeze simply stopped. Fatalia inhaled, keeping her cool and attempting to pinpoint the presence of death. Moments passed and nothing happened, but she didn't move. There was no way the bloodsucker had been *that* quick in getting away. Suddenly, one of the bushes to her left...

Bows and quiver now disappearing, Fatalia's full attention snapped to the sound. Summoning her Beloved Masamune, The Angel prepared her stance and readied to strike. "Your Move, Vampire. You will not be harmed if you surrender."

'Friends will come and go, but you're stuck with your Mates forever."

Leo had heard the cry for help. He was planning on helping until he heard another person saying it was a meaningless fight. He sighed happily, glad he could concentrate on hiding.

He relaxed and leaned back, wondering how hard his heart would be pounding if it was still beating. He leaned back and fell back, creating a lot of noise as he fell through the leaves.

He sat back up, tense. He knew someone heard that one. He glanced around, making even more noise. Damn it. So this is how it ends. Screwed over by stupid mistakes.

He looked up and flinched back at the new voice. It was directed at him. He moved the leaves over a bit and saw the sword. He looked up the sword to the owner, surprised to see an angel.

"I was hungry." he whispered, giving in. He didn't want to fight.
