Game on. Digitalising was still a tad funny, looking at her game character's arms as if they were own. Mariposa's skin was paler than hers and she'd never wear those bulky gloves. Or knuckles, they called them. Something was oddly satisfying about Mariposa, however, she did not look anything like herself. There was going to be an event of sorts today and it became clear to her it would be a crowded field later on. Now was the time to grind out, killing whatever monster was going to be as foolish to walk into Mariposa, then taking its sweet, sweet loot, but more importantly; exp. She checked Mariposa's inventory; only a few items left. She wasn't as worried about her health, Iron Body and Blindsight took good care of that at her level, but she had gotten low on stamina potions. It was terrifying how fast she burned through them in a day of training. If she wanted to level Mariposa up properly; she would have to make some money, but at this hour there weren't many moneywells awake yet. In fact most of them had probably just fallen asleep. Inconvenient as might have been, she would have to go for lower leveled monsters for a better income ratio. Mariposa hit the palm of her left hand with her right fist. "Let's do this." Speaking of which, Mariposa's knuckles were up for an upgrade too... |

Robert reached the KSI building and made his way in through the front door, giving a friendly nod to the receptionist he made his way towards the elevator. After getting in he pressed the button with the number 4 on it. As the elevator pulled him upward he leaned back against the back wall of the small metal box. When the doors opened again he pushed off and walked out onto his floor. Making his way to the testing room he slide his key card and opened the door after the resounding click was heard. Walking into the room he looked about his work place once more. A sizable room with various couch like beds and several monitors and computers. He didn't have to worry about monitors or the computers. All he had to worry about was the couch like furniture and the headsets beside them. Walking in he noted that there was two other people in the room already. One was a woman who had dirty blond hair and the other was a man whom one could not make out the hair for the helmet. He cocked an eyebrow though and shook his head at the man laying there. He'd have to have to send bill a message when he got plugged in. It wasn't healthy to have been on this long. Bill was a night tester and he was still on. There was one person sat at a desk with a computer. A man in his middle years and glasses. He looked up from his screen and gave a nod. Robert returned the nod and gave his customary wave to the security camera that was focused on the door way then walked over to a free station. He turned on the monitor, at the computer there (the machine already being on but the monitor being cut off ) and logged in and started up the network with the headset. As it booted up he walked over to a table with a selection of prescription bottles and picked his favored muscle suppressant and went to the water take. getting a paper cup of water to wash it down he took the pill and tossed the cup away. He then walked back, officially clocked in his logging time and then placed his headset on and laid back and waited. As it took to the log in screen he once again thought out "KS-Weiß". Though this time as it brought him to his two frames, Robert reached out to his Mage instead, and soon enough he found himself stood where he had last logged off with the character the day before, and began to get to work testing boundaries of the game for his employers. |

She had slept for some time after logging off; how long, Ianna wasn't entirely sure, because there had apparently been a powercut after she'd gone back to sleep, and her mains-fuelled alarm clock couldn't deal with keeping the time in its mechanical brain. That, of course, meant that she had no idea whether or not she needed to get up - and thus she rolled out of bed in a panic, fell onto the floor in what would have been a comical manner if she hadn't been so worried, and then scrambled to her feet, darting to the table where her mobile phone rested languidly upon a pile of envelopes about student loans. The phone itself was reluctant to wake up out of its power-saving sleep mode, but with enough cussing (how very unpriestly!) and a little bit of bashing, it managed to pull itself out of the phone dream-land and state blearily that she had an hour's free time before she needed to start getting ready for work. Typical. Ianna briefly considered going back online, but then thought against it. Perhaps she could get ready now, go down onto the beach briefly, and then go to work? Nah, she'd be covered in sand, and both her employers and her patrons would not be pleased with little sand piles everywhere. Looked like she could just relax. Two hour's later, after a battle with a hairbrush and an embarassing trip over the side of her shower, Ianna had decreed that this day could only get better. Boy, was she wrong. She'd gotten to work on time - well, she assumed from the clock on the wall in the restaurant that she was on time - but she got shouted at for tardiness, and then almost run over by a rather hot co-worker who was unfortunately taken by some other girl, who was probably far more attractive and much less tardy than she was. It hadn't got better from then, either. A group of men, who had probably decided to eat something a little more nutritious than pub food, had leered at her when she'd taken their orders, and their eyes had frightened her. It wasn't difficult to frighten the short blonde, but their predatory glares made them look like they should be prowling in the forest covered in hair, not sat like quite civilised men in a booth at a down-town restaurant. The rest of the day had passed slowly and painfully, but the men had been the worst thing, despite that her clumsy footwork made her end up with dishes to pay for. To be honest, she wasn't paid enough for this. She averaged about eight hours a day, working as much as she could, and she held down a weekend job as well to deal with the time off she got. Even then she barely scraped together what she needed for payment, and she idly wondered whether there was any way she could earn more. Needless to say, the day couldn't end soon enough, and, while it was technically a long time before she arrived home, at that point in the day it seemed like she'd only worked an hour. Closing her door behind her, she'd set to work on making Supernoodles slightly palatable, and the results hadn't been too bad. She just hoped that she found the rest of the blue-star water lilies tonight, or she'd pull her hair out. |

The day was yet young in the wold of LZ. The morning dew was drying in as the sun raised higher into the sky. Yes, the world even had a dew from the night's chill. The nocturnal predators that inhabited the outer zones of the region were returning to their dens and resting plays during the brighter times of day. The animals and beasts of day where rousing ever driven on their naturally programmed instincts. And as Mariposa made her way across Ereumana, there was a slight rumble in the ground. It was a rumble that never spelt good times for single players out on their own. The ground up behind her broke open slightly and out from the ground came a sizable black shell gleaming in the early morning sun. It was armed with large pincers and antenna. It was a giant ant, and it was being fallowed by two, three, several more of it's kind from the ground. These creatures where the scourge of the region due to their numbers, and their underground lairs let them pop up almost anywhere in the outer portions of the region. The one saving grace, was that they didn't move very quickly so someone who was inclined could usually outdistance them. As for the moment, five of them where headed right for Mariposa. |

Sera finished her shower, then set off toward a local fast food place, not the best place for her, but she didnt feel like walking to any other place. By the time she got home, more full than she was before, she took a mental note that she needed food, but that could wait until later. Setting the timer she powered on her game system and proceeded to play her 'generic shooter' (XD) for the next several hours. She of course played with her team, and though they were only playing for fun currently, they only wound up losing one battle. The battle they lost was because they all decided to just run around knifing everyone, so it was extremely fun, but did nothing for the objective. At about midnoon Sera set off and got her shopping done for the next week. When she returned she continued playing her game, her team now playing for real, actually training. She listened as they bitched at her for taking a tournament 'hiatus' to play the 'silly roleplay game'. She reminded them that the next tournament wasn't for a month, and she was still training so obviously she would still go to the tournament. Her conversations after that were quite enjoyable, and filled with quite a few interesting arguments about how her team was 'cheating noobs who cant win unless they use X weapon' then beating the other team not using X weapon and being called 'cheating noobs who cant win unless they use Y weapon'. She laughed constantly at the various things people would say when they lost, and laughed more at her teams responses. |

There were those kinds of moments in LZ she just knew the game hated her. She wasn't exactly thrilled to see the ants; the plan was to save money while leveling; not spending all HP potions she had on her... If Mariposa could deal with these things in the first place. The game character shrugged and Mariposa started running in the opposite direction of the ants. Hopefully she'd come across an unfortunate newbie or 'valliant knight' to protect her, be it willingly or not, as she felt little for testing the ants' persistence and running all the way to the city without a single kill... Mariposa had little luck finding someone out and about in the zone. No newbie could have survived making it out that far, and most of the hire levels weren't logged in yet. as she had said, soon they would be filling the fields because of the event, but for now, they are rather empty. The ants where sizable, and their legs gave them a good land speed, but their they where not the sorts to run for hours and not break off. After a few minutes of pursuit they broke off, and started to make their way back towards the area that they had come, their heads swaying to and fro near the ground. The run had winded Mariposa, her fatigue having set it a bit. The game designers had a set fatigue system. The lower one's was the more poorly they performed in physical acts such as combat and physical activities like running, swimming, climbing and so on. As it stood Mariposa's fatigue was about halved from the several minutes of running. At a distance she could see the form of what appeared to be a bear, and over to the other side several smaller form farther east, but for the moment she didn't seem to be in danger of being attacked by anything just yet. |

The grappler was supposed to be a physical class. She hated how quickly Mariposa's fatique went up; she couldn't wear plates and knuckles had to be some of the lightest weapons available. Perhaps she could consider herself lucky; if she had chosen the warrior or guardian instead the ants might have actually caught up with her. Still, She couldn't keep wondering about whether they had good drops. LZ being in its beta-phase didn't help with that either; all the guide-sites were works in progress. On the other hand, beta was a relaxing experience; no killstealers, no guild-drama, no corrupt markets. That was something she could appreciate. Still, she needed to level Mariposa if she wanted a good shot at whatever event there would be later today. Her level was still nothing more but a single digit. In the distance there was a bear; and a little further to the other side several creatures she couldn't make out. Well, the bear it was; Mariposa had gotten tired of running but her player even moreso. Mariposa picked up a nearby rock and hurled it at the bear, hoping to aggro it into attacking her. If fatique worked on players, it just might have an effect on beasts and monsters too. Even if not; while it would run towards Mariposa; she could recover some of her own. |

The rock fell short of the bear, whom was still far enough away that she would have to approach it before attempting to launch an improvised projectile at it. However the act of walking would still allow her to clear more of her fatigue. Not as much as sitting or laying would, but it did not prevent it from dropping. There was a chirping of birds in the day's air, and one sat over yonder on a bush, it's head tilted sideways some watching the woman. Up above in the sky, dark clouds began to move in from the north, which seemed to promise rain for later on, possibly causing the sub-event to be a little more soggy than many had planned. Unbeknown to the players in the region, it would be an hour yet before the event started, for the game administrators had a thing for noon. (Post is shit, but I'm presently working on some 'game' information I'm updating. Sorry. ) Edited by Jester, November 23, 2010, 6:32 pm.

Her stone invitation didn't seem to work; looked like this had to be handled the old-fashion way. Mariposa walked up to the animal, not caring whether to catch or not catch its attention. If it noticed her she'd go for the counter-attack, if it didn't, she'd punch it. Punch it in the face. |

Sera had entered a sort of trance, she did this whenever she truly got into a game. Her eyes glassed over, she had relaxed, the motions of her hands became steady, there was no controller, no wires, she was the game. This was why she was a gamer, and why she enjoyed playing. She loses herself and enters a zenlike trance when the game is really good. She was partially hoping that the mmo game she got would do the same, but right now that didnt matter much. "Going for C." She stated calmly, watching as the corridor moved past her, "Red going for B go defend." She said as she noted a blur entering a building. Her finger carefully depressing when every someone was stupid enough to step in front of her. Her character spinning around when someone tried sneaking up on her. With her team there was always someone watchign someone elses back, always communicating. If you died you stated where and how many you saw. If you see an enemy you call their possition if they are too far or entering a building. It was rare for them to lose when trying, and rarer for those losses to happen outside a tournament. The rest of the evening had been handled with a careless manner. Ianna had decided that she didn't care if anything went wrong, which was good because after she tried washing up, she realised that the sink was blocked. By what, she wasn't quite sure, but it was enough to warrant a visit from the plumber over the next couple of weeks. After that, she'd decided to watch television, but the signal was bad because a sea mist had settled in from the ocean and was ruining a comedy she'd seen three times already. Radio wasn't much better, and it was far too early to go to bed. She hadn't earned enough to buy a computer yet in this new home, so she was officially stumped. Well, not completely. She did need those blue star water lily roots... * * * Kaidi twisted around. The place she'd logged off at last night was different by the light of day - it was disconcerting, especially as the eerie glow she'd encountered there was not present now. It was as if the game programmers hated her. Raising her head up to the sky, she inhaled a deep breath of air. It was so much better than the smog of Plymouth. |

Kaidi logged on, and as the worked warped back around her after the feel of just a gentle breeze blowing along pushed by, the sound of the river flowing along beside her tricked into her ears. These sounds were only partially held though for a far more concerning sounds came to her ears, the sounds of heavy footsteps and a surprised shout came as all of a sudden she was toppled over by the force of what seemed to be a person smashing into her back. It was indeed a person, a archer by the fact that they were holding a bow in hand. It was a relatively short archer at that. he seemed to be little more than four and a half feet hight, but he had been running at such a speed that he had toppled them both. "Gah!" He shouted and kept running in a disjointed manor as he turned around to fire off an arrow as he pulled it from his quiver. It zipped past Kaidi and only a moment later two wolves came zipping by as well one with two arrows in it. The diminutive archer shouted in almost a comical squeal as he continued to run, taking pock shots at the wolves as they bolted after him. |

For a moment, everything was calm and beautiful. Kaidi hardly recognised the serene scene from the nightmarish one she had witnessed yesterday. The babbling of the river was soothing, melodic, and she closed her eyes to fully enjoy this rhapsodic moment. Of course, that left her extremely vulnerable to the short thing that suddenly bowled into her. The shout and footsteps had hardly registered on her mind, and thus she had time for a short scream of shock before the weight was off of her, and she could stand and see what the hell had just happened. The tiny archer was persued by wolves, of all creatures, and Ianna had Kaidi turn to target them. Perhaps a mana bolt wouldn't go amiss in helping him - and maybe a healing spell, too. With that in mind, she decided that she'd send a spell to the one with the lowest hitpoints, wherever she could find that. |

Kaidi launched forth the mana bolt from her spell list. It stuck the wolf who turned on her and charged. She managed to get another bolt off as the wolf struck her. The Archer in the meantime, having run father and pinned the wolf already injured with pinning shot he fired another arrow into it, felling the animal. Turning his attention to the priest as she had been latched onto by the canine creature, shot it himself, and she managed off a final mana bolt that felled the creature at last. The short archer sighed and panted as he huffed down onto the ground, and rather than trying to speak through his panting he just waved both exasperatedly and thankfully at her. |

Offering a nod to the archer whom she had helped, Kaidi reached down to loot the wolf she'd killed. A slab of wolf meat would go a long way - if she could learn how to cook it, that is. For now, though, she was as good at cooking in this game as she was in real life - useless. The meat was stowed away in her inventory, and she turned to survey the short archer. She was curious about how he'd managed to get the two beasts on his trail, but remained quiet until his breath returned - everyone knows how hard it is to breathe and talk at the same time. At the moment, though, she was more worried about the damage done to her virtual arm. How long would it stay for? |

Luckily for her most of the monsters in the starting region were not capable of dealing prolonged damage to a character. The arm would heal on it's own as her hit points returned. The archer, after several moments of panting managed to catch his breath and slowly stood himself up and walked over to the wolf and started to recover what he could. After a moment he stood up and gave the priest. "Thanks." He said with a nod as he slumped himself down onto the body of the wolf like a massive furry chair. |

Kaidi smiled. "You're welcome," she replied, glad now that she had somebody to speak with, even if it was just briefly. Her own life was made up of a small collection of people, with whom she might briefly converse - somebody else on this online haven would perhaps ease the loneliness which she often exhibited. "So, how did you get those beasts on your trail?" she asked, paying no attention to her arm. Hopefully it would clear up soon - though she smiled at the use of the dead wolf. |

The diminutive marksman sighed and shrugged. "I wasn't paying attention and was stalking one and he other one came up on me." He said shaking his head. Archers were powerful distanced fighters and they hold quite a few of the games unique niches, but unless the player builds and levels them specifically for it, they do not make overly good closed ranged fighters, so if they can't outdistance their opponents things might bet tricky for them. "Bu-" The small archer went to speak and say something but he paused when he looked up at something that took his eyes. [Second post coming] |

Kaidi nodded in sympathetic understanding. "Damned game designers, eh?" she commented, brushing aside her thick hair and focussing her eyes on the short archer. His distraction made her frown - was he lagging, or was there something in the distance? Turning her head to see what this was, she scanned the immediate area. "Is there something here that I can't see?" she asked, frowning a little. She hated it when she couldn't see something that was right in front of her - it made her feel so stupid. |

[I was going to post the message for everyone but I lost it and had to reconstruct it. >< You were supposed to get this the same time he did, but you're now going to have lagged a moment cause you posted. xP] ~Every Player on Legend Zeit had a announcement window pop up in front of their eyes at middle screen. When opened the format and script on the announcement was quite decorative and fancy looking. Those players who were not logged on at the announcement's sending would get it the moment they next logged on. ATTENTION The staff of Legenden Zeit would like to welcome you to the start of the Thunder Forge Scavenger Hunt. All players have 3 weeks to collect as many of the items and materials found on the notice attached as they can. You may work in groups, or by yourselves. The winners of the scavenger hunt will be awarded unique prizes. The runner ups and such will also be given special prizes as well. Further details on the even will be sent through later notices through the events. Any questions in regards to the event, please contact your sever admins. Everyone enjoy the event, and have fun with the hunt. Server Administrator Sir Victoria-C Attached to the announcement was a notice that was formatted in similar font and style, The attachment revealed the list of items on the scavenger hunt. The List At the same time as the attachment is opened the players would note that a physical copy of the list in the same decorative style writing was added to their inventory. Many of the items on the list most of the players had never even heard of, many more still were quite hard to come by and way out of level for most, and quite a few folks didn't even know where to find them. There was plants, salvage, as well as items. It would seem this was actually quite complex a scavenger hunt.~ Edited by Jester, June 8, 2011, 12:40 am.

She guessed that she'd lagged, for what had distracted the Archer was now stood in front of her. Scanning the letter, she grinned widely. Now, there's some fun to be had, she thought, Not to mention experience. How interesting it would be, finding all of those! The prizes were probably really cool, too. "Oh, I was lagging." She rolled her eyes, and looked through the list more closely. It was unlikely that any of those could be found in the beginner section, so she needed to level up soon. Level four wasn't much of an extension of level three, but it would mean she had a greater choice of useful spells, with which she could help a group. After she closed the announcement screen, she looked back to the archer. Considering those wolves, she was pretty sure she wasn't a high enough level to go anywhere with him without pulling considerable aggro from high-level creatures, but perhaps if she did some grinding on monsters and quests, she might level up soon. |

After a few more moments the archer wiggled his fingers a little bit as a subconscious action as his eyes flipped about, it seemed he was sorting through a few windows. After a minute he sighed and rubbed his hands together a bit and reached into his pack and pulled out a apple and took a bite out of it. He looked over to the priest. "well, looks like that'll prove interesting." He said with a grin. It was a chimpish grin. Quite the odd little archer. Most guys liked to make their characters average or tall builds, this one seemed quite the opposite. |

Ianna was curious about the person behind this character. Whomever it was, they must surely be a good laugh - the few male characters she'd come across were all taller than she was - and he obviously didn't give a damn in concerns to role-play situations. In a way, she quite admired his guts - perhaps she should have made her character freakishly tall for the fun of it. Still, she was digressing and there were words to be said and training to be done. She still needed the last of those blue star water lily roots, and if she came across some other animals while she was hunting, so be it. The faster she levelled, the better (in her opinion). "Yeah," came her oh-so-witty reply. Damn. What do you say now? "Wonder how many people are going to be hunting all of that down?" |

"well, right now there's over 1300 topics involving the hunt on the boards, so I dare say a good many." He commented. "folks with higher levels or friends with higher levels should have a upper hand at some of these." he mentioned, which was true. Some of the rarer things were only found in a handful of high level places. "you wouldn't happen to have any of those would you?" He asked with a laugh. |
