Itchira laughed as she walked, "No they do not, I mean if I was to fish and find a gutterfish I would be very disappointed." This was fun, just playing and making jokes, on many occasions she had even forgotten she was playing a game, this was how games were meant to be. When S had gave an idea on how they could get into the river without jumping in or having to go around. "Nice." She said with a smile, "Lead the way. But if you forgot where it was then I guess we can either walk around the island till we find a way in...OR find a pack of wild dogs." She was of course joking, and laughing as she spoke, she wouldn't be that mean. |

Aiken and Miz Made their way northward from Kine. The larger man with a great sword hummed a tune as they went. The fact that he carried a Great Sword meant that he was either a warrior or a Swordsman, sense those are the only two classes that posses the ability to use that weapon. Either way as they made their way up the region, he stopped when he looked about. He knelt down to the ground and fingered around it a bit. He grinned and looked up at Mix. "'ey lass, I've got a whee question for yeh. Would yeh rather go get right ta the stepping stones, or would you rather have a slight detour?" He asked with a smirk. It would seem he found something of interest. They hadn't been traveling too long yet, and up ahead just at the tip of what was viewable was a few small figures up ahead of them, Aiken seemed more focused on what he found lay at his feet right now. S grinned and started walking, but stopped and looked at her slightly confused. "Wait....I don't get it... Why do we need to find a pack of dogs?" she asked seeming to be lost on the topic of them. "But I doesn't remember exactly though on the close map it still shows it." She added slightly idly, still confused as the the comment on the dogs. There was three maps available to the players. One, was a world map, which showed the entirety of the world and where you (and your party should they not be in the same region) are located [though of course this did not work in certain zones due to them being hidden or stipulations on the game itself]. Next is a regional map which showed which zone within the region that you and once again in turn your party are located. The final map, which is called the zone map, though commonly called the local map shows where in the zone you are and is the most detailed of all the maps. Regional and Zone maps however, unless a map was purchased by a choreographer, only showed details on where you yourself have been. Anything beyond it is clouded in a thick gray that you can not see though. (though the markers for party members in the gray areas are still able to be seen.) As such the girl can simply check her local map and locate where it was that she had run across the decline into the water was. "So how long have you been playing these kind of games?" S asked as they walked. Edited by Jester, September 11, 2010, 4:51 am.

Itchira laughed at S' confusion, "No reason. None at all." She laughed again. She brought up her own map and started looking everything over, where they currently were, where she had been, everything. Her map was fairly blank, she hadn't really been far from the city. "How long have I been playing these kind of games? Not long. This would be the second 'true MMO' that I played. However if you broaden that question to 'how long have you been playing games' and that answer increases to fifteen years." Itchira grinned as she looked toward S, "The question now turns to you. How long have you been playing games?" |

Miz traveled behind and to the right of Aiken, her primary attention seemed to be on her knuckles. Her attention was so locked on her knuckles that she barely registered when Aiken stopped. She moved past him afew steps before turning around and looking at him. He was looking at the ground, it would appear he found something interesting. He then asked if she wanted to continue toward the stones, or have a detour. "Um..." She said, "I guess a detour wont hurt." The detour would still probably end up getting her some experience so a detour worked for her. (short) |

S blinked, and got a little sheepish smile to her face. "I think I like the first one more, it makes me feel better. This is the first kind of game like this I've ever played and I haven't played lots of games before." She said slightly embraced. "But I was really good at tetras." She said hopefully. This girl was about as fresh as they came. She must have taken a long time to get used to the controls and concepts of this game. As they made their way around S let out a high pitched scream as the ground under Itchira's foot gave way and she dropped down into what seemed to be a small sink hole. The sink hole only drew Itchira down about 5 feet, and there under her rump (footing lost due to the low agility score of necromancers) was a treasure chest. The game designers some times put little boxes here and there to offer a lit of a incentive to those gamers who take the time to walk and adventure through the world they've created. Most of these are hidden and once come across and taken, they will disappear and another one will randomly relocate to another area in the world. And as it would seem, at the moment Itchira has come across one such prize. The chest under here which was now covered in dirt was a rich chestnut color with metal banding. And luckily enough, this prize chest was not locked, had it been she would had to hope that S-20 had the disable skill. [I will message you the details on what it contains.] [and yes, I do offer people random finds in the RP. I roll out all the chances with my Dice as to if anyone finds something and what they find. This will only happen from time to time.] Aiken grinned up at her and stood up. "Good, cause we've gut us some bears ta find." He said with a wicked smile. Bears being one of the highest leveled animals in the region [in the high leveled zones] this would be an interesting ordeal. "Seems they came down fer some water most likely," He said and started north eastwards after checking the direction. "This'll count towards the EXP anyways lass. Normally I wouldn't worry about it and take yeh ta the steps, but I really like kill'n bears." He said with a grin as they walked. Making their way northwards the plant life varied slightly. The plants began to get thicker, larger, yet more scarce. It was also getting colder farther north. The time was later in the afternoon, the sky starting to turn a more low set light as they headed towards their destination. "So tell me, do yeh have any fire based stuff on yeh?" He inquired. "Fire's damn handy against bears." And it was true. Their pelts would catch fire and it not only damaged them, but the burning fur reduced their accuracy. |

Itchira listened to S talk, she hadn't played many games, that was fairly obvious, and she said she was really good at Tetris. "Ah Tetris, been a while since I played that." Itchira laughed more, though technology keeps moving forward the classics still remain. Tetris, Snake, Pong. Before she could react she felt the ground give some, she felt herself land hard on a chest, then felt herself fall back some. "Ow." She said with a light laugh, "That hurt." Slowly she turned and pushed herself up, rubbing her butt some she looked at what she landed on. A treasure chest. Moving around it she stopped near the front. Her hands moved down some and pulled at the lid, which immediately popped. There was a light creaking sound as she fully pulled it open, her mind filled with that sound from Zelda when you open a chest, but just before you actually get the item. It wasn't actually in this game but she really wished it was. Inside the chest she saw a sword, the games comparison tips telling her it was for levels eight to thirteen, it was the length of a regular long sword. Its blade finely polished, and the handle had a slightly reddish wrapping. It has a round bulbed end to the handle and the cross guard comes out to slight upward curves. Pulling the sword out of the chest she heard the Zelda 'dodedodooo' noise and grinned before looking toward S, "I fell on a chest with a sword." She said with a laugh. "It hurt but now I have a sword I can't use." Edited by Kraveing_volkf, September 13, 2010, 3:59 am.

"Bears?" Miz said before following after Aiken. "Well I guess thats nice then, kill some bears get some exp." It was getting colder, but that didnt really bother her much, its not like it was gonna snow, it was more like a nice cold air. It was also getting later in the game. "No I dont have anything for fire on me sorry." She said with a light smile. "All I have is some potions." Miz only kept potions on her, she didnt see the use of anything else. Though now that she thought about it fire would be nice right now. "So whats the plan, you take on the bears and I stand back and try not to aggro them?" She had never been power-leveled before and she didnt want to do something stupid, like get mauled by a bear. |

S had fallen back onto her rump in surprise at the drop. She sat there on the ground, looking at Itchira over the top of the hole. Her large eyes blinked at the entire ordeal. "....Please don't do that any more...." She said still slightly shaken. As if it was her choice to in the first place, yeah right. "But a sword is good. You can sell it." She said with a nod as she stood up and held her hands out to Itchira. "I'll help you out." the hole it self was only about nine inches shorter than Itchira, but the chest itself was about three feet high, so if standing on it it wouldn't be that difficult to get out. S blinked and sighed. "I'm sorry, my dad says I have to get off now." She said, still holding her hands out to her partner. "Can I send you a friend request so if we're on again we can team up?" She asked hopefully. Aiken grinned and nodded. "Aye, bears." He said as they walked along the ground headed up north east. "Here, then use these." He said, reaching back into his pocket (In reality it was reaching into his inventory) and pulled out a bag and handing it to her. "Fire Shards. If'n yeh got the agility ta throw them then good, if not, just wait till I've grabbed the bastards aggro and then get up close and toss it." He said with a nod. Shards holding the elemental effect of that which they were forged, they would likely come in handy. Aiken laughed as she inquired as to the plan. "Bugger that! You can feel free ta pound away! Just don't go as far as to steal the aggro from me." He said as he stopped and pointed up ahead. A group of figures in the distance. "That'll be them" He said with a wicked grin. Animals, and beasts of lesser intelligence focused aggression on who was dealing the most damage to them unless a varying factor was applied. As such there wasn't too much chance that the bears would shift their attention to Miz if Aiken grabbed it. The large man turned his head to look at her as they continued walking towards the distant bears. "So yeh ready?" He asked. |

Ianna had steered Kaidi around the city, taking in its magnificence and glory with a great impression made upon her. Her bright eyes were caught by every little detail, her attention diverted by a thousand delicious smells - and many more not so pleasant ones - and her ears were almost overwhelmed by the sounds of the bustling starter city. Everyone, NPC or no, looked like they had something to do, specific things to do, and the like. In fact, she was almost at a loss of where to go next when she remembered that she was bound for the river. Apparently, there were some quest herbs she needed to pick for a person, though she couldn't remember for the life of her who gave her the quest, and they were situated near the river. Having then found herself a purpose, and a means of filling that purpose, Kaidi dodged around a pair of street urchins chasing one another, and moved with a slight conviction, though still remaining in that dazed state reminiscent of daydreamers, towards the East gate. It was a proud-looking place, and as she strode by the gate, the polished breastplates of the high-levelled guards caught her eye. They weren't dented or scarred, suggesting they were either terrible guards, or really, really good ones. Still, she passed on by with a serene smile, and took a deep breath of air. Maybe she would stop and make some supplies before heading on - food was always welcome, and it could be useful as she continued looking around the city. Treading further along the Eastern road, the river became easily visible, and it was now that she decided to sit herself down primly, beneath a broad-branched oak. She made herself comfortable, ensuring she was settled on a grassy spot. It was then her summoning began; just simple bread and water, but it took so much effort. Mana flooding down her limbs made her hands tingle, and as the food was brought into existence, Ianna felt a sense of triumph. Looking at her handiwork, she realised that there would be other priests out there, who could do far better than her. A feeling of determination superceded this, and she stood, placing the summoned items in her inventory before moving bravely onwards. |

The exact quest was to retrieve roots from the blue star water lily, a plant which grew in warm waters, and could be found in the a few places in the river around the island that held the city of whiterock. Should she check her quest listing she would see that it was the herbalist who had sent her to retrieve the plant roots. Herbalists were one of the largest, and often most ignored providers of quests for players because they were forever making potions and salves, and so they were forever needing new ingredients. However most players didn't seem to enjoy the idea of spending their leisure time for playing a game hunting around for some particular plant. The area outside of whiterock had several low level animals about it, but it was easy enough to avoid them if one chose to try. At least close to the city. as one got further away from the city walls, they would find the ordeal of avoiding conflict slightly more difficult as the animals farther away were slightly more aggressive. The best chance on gathering up these lilies for Kaidi would be to cross the bridge and descend the bank on the other side of the river because there was only a couple of spots that the cliff of the island slopped to the water. Otherwise they player would have to jump down the cliff into the water and then walk around on the outers side and get back to a bridge. This however was more dangerous because of the leveling of the zones on the other side of that river were higher than that of the island, though the entire region wasn't leveled beyond a novice level. Luckily enough for Kaidi, the direction she was headed lead right to a bridge. Though as she neared the bridge there was a rather unwelcoming sight to reach her. There was a pair of wild boar which had wandered near it. Wild bore in of themselves were not that hight level though the small ones like these were likely at best level 2, but seeing as there was two of them the levels kind of stacked, making this possibly a level 4 fight should it take place. Boars being one of the more territorial animals in the zone made it more difficult to get around them. Edited by Jester, September 15, 2010, 5:13 am.

Itchira gave a light laugh, "I'll try not to fall in any more pits." She said before moving toward S. As she took her hand S said that her father was telling her it was time to get off, "That's disappointing." She stated before starting to climb out, though the dirt itself was crumbling some it wasn't that difficult. Her mind activating a series of buttons while she climbed otu with S' help. Just as she came out and lay calmly just outside the hole S would see a friend request appear. "It would be nice to play with you again S-20 or should I say Sarah." Itchira smiled some toward her new friend before slowly sitting up and moving away from the hole, best to not fall back in. |

He closed the windows he currently had up and stood up. He groaned as his knees popped causing him to briefly lose his balance. He looked down at himself, the time spent sitting had seen to his wounds and he was back to full health. After carefully looking over the guild charters and the locations of each recruiter for them he decided upon The Grey Beasts. He turned back towards the city and started out at a brisk run. Hopefully he would run into another monster on his way back.

S looked down slightly at the comment of disappointment. "I know, I'm sorry, but I promise I'll try to get on tomorrow." she said. Her face grew bright however when she spotted the request and she clicked the acceptance. Sera would now be able to bring up her friends window and see if S-20 was online, and if S was to specify, she could see what region, she was in beside her name. Also friending someone allowed long distance messaging that was more difficult when one was not friended. S smiled and nodded vigorously to Itchira. "It'd be nice to play with you again too. I would have been dead for sure!" She said, and after a pause, hugged her and waved, she then clicked something on an invisible window and her character faded into nothing. If people have trouble moving their own body, such as having restrained themselves or taken a suppressant that they weren't quite able to muscle through and force motion on it before it ran out, they could always manually shut down the program and log out. And with that, Itchira was left on her own once more, with nought but her zombie rat, which sat there staring blankly into oblivion. The full potential of the necromancer class was yet unknown to all players save for those whom worked for KSI and had seen the class progression, as it was for the other classes. There was not released information on them, other than what the class starting description offered and the players themselves have found through leveling. There would be on occasion someone who tried to break the confidentiality agreement and post some information on the internet, however the postings never seemed to stay up long for some reason, and the players soon found themselves banned from the beta. Along the slope of river surrounding the island in the middle of the region, Issac sat down slightly out of breath. He had only one dog left from the peek three he had subjugated, however he did have a wild boar which now sat there looking down it's long grizzled snout at him. He laughed at it and patted it's head, which he was roughly pushed aside. He laughed again and just shrugged. Subjugating the animal didn't take away it's temperament or it's natural disposition, it simply bent it to the beastmasters will. And if the beast master commanded it to do something it would not naturally be inclined to do, it took more will for the beast master to force it. Unlike the summonings that the mage got in the later levels, and the risen undead that the necromancers received, the BeastMaster class was far more dependent on the subject that he had subjugated. Issac just looked out over the water before him. He had set himself in down by the drop in the shore into the river, in hopes of digging around and clearing out a little bit of salvage. But the blasted gutter fish were too much of an issue, and his animals weren't terribly well suited for fighting them in the water. As such he was stuck thinking of ways to be rid of them. Fighting them slowly was what he was doing now, and he didn't have the will to subjugate them and maintain hold of his present creatures, and he REALLY didn't want the boar slipping free, for it would certainly not be pleased with him. |

(short but I'm pulling a blank about what to put) Itchira was surprised when she was hugged, she gave a light wave as S faded. Slowly she looked down toward her dead rat and sighed, "Alright lets go." She walked around the hole then started toward the river again, she couldn't be that far from the place S was talking about. When she reached the point of the river that lead to a cliff she started walking along it in the hopes of reaching the sloping section. |

Any hopes of coming across a creature on the way back to the city was rather futile because of the short distance he happened to be from the gate of the city. Reentering the city one again there was a bit of hustle and bustle going on in the city beyond the regular ordeals of the city. Towards the northern district of the city, there seemed to be a crowd gathered, and a line had formed. There by one of the benches sat two characters, and a third one sat over on a crate that had been moved next to the bench. The character on the crate was a male who had a hide style armor and a spear propped up against his shoulder, his hair being cut short and stuck out in odd directions. The first one on the bench was a woman who had sort of ash brown hair that was tied back, which matched a combination of hide and fur armor which adorned her. She had no weapon shown, though it was most likely simply not equipped and set in her inventory. The man beside her was dressed in fur robes and hand a staff leaned against the bench beside him. The three were the center of the crowed, and the line lead up to them. One person several paces in front of the character next in line having stepped forwards. The line seemed to be almost 20 people long. (It's alright girl, I'll feed it along till you catch some wind.) The cliff lessened till it was not a steep, but still too much to enter into the water. Farther down though it seemed to lessen more, and as Itchira made her way down the cliff line, she would see what would seem to be a humanoid sat on the ground with a boar and dog like animal beside it. Now dogs are able to be purchased in cities from those who train them, but boars are not domestic creatures, and by no means amiable. Just a little to the side of this figure the slope dropped down to the water line. It would seem S-20 had been right. (sorry, this post is in turn rather crap, having to head do some stuff if yo haven't responded by the time I get things sorted I'll fix it and make it more elaborate, if yes, then I'll just run from where you go. [don't hold of on posting cause of that if you have something you think you can post. >.> ]) |

Itchira slowed down when she saw, she had seen beastmasters traveling with whole packs of wild dogs, primarily because dogs wern't turned away at the gates. She had also seen one try and bring a bear into the city which she thought was funny but the guards didn't seem to think so. But she had also seen a beastmaster lose control of some of his pets, so she moved around toward the other side of him before saying anything. "Um...What are you doing? If its killing gutterfish then perhaps you can help me." There was a slight pause before she added, her voice slightly rushed, "I-mean-only-if you want to, I have a quest to kill some of these fish for the old man fisherman. |

The dog had raised it's head at the newcomer and bore it's teeth slightly. The boar was grunting just as much towards Issac as he was at Itchira. Issac looked up as the woman approached. From the look of it a necromancer seeing as she had a zombie rat fallowing her around. Oh the complications that arose from having territorial animals around undead ones, and Issac felt the amount of will he had to impose on the two animals raise. But it wasn't too big an ordeal, he still had will to spare, it was pretty much his highest stat after all. When she spoke he returned his attention to her and tilted his head. along the edges of his face and jawline, as well as the parts show in his armor which was fellrat hide, green tattooing showed out. It was a addition one could purchase, much like scars and other abnormalities to the body, and it was the only really distinguishing thing about him physically. He chuckled and shrugged. "well I was actually just trying to get some bits of salvage from the plants and maybe a bit of the fish and such, but the forsaken gutterfish are causing too much of a castle right now." He explained. "So if you're out to take care of them I'd be more than happy to give you a hand." He said. He had a light Germanic accent to his speech, but it was still easily understandable. Most of the players in the English servers were natives to the English language, however several of KSI industries employees, as such, several of the mods, as well as almost all the admins on the English server were native of Germany, and had accents, though usually only those who had regular dealings with these people knew that. Meaning mainly city busy-bodies, or folks who were either always getting into trouble, or always pestering them for help. Though it was quite clear that by the level of equipment and style that Issac here was not actually a Moderator character. Issac picked up his spear that lay on the ground beside him and stood up. "Name's Issac-R, and this here's Rooner-2 and grouch." He said, patting the dog as he said rooner-2 and the boar as he said grouch. The pat to the boar got him a grunt and a rather harsh push from the animal which he just shook his head at. Wild dogs were probably the most favored of subjugated of BeastMasters because when they are subjugated they revert back much to the original programming for domestic dogs, but boars....not so much. And it wasn't usually that the beast master named the subjugated due to the fact that when he logged off they would be lost to him anyways, but everyone has their own quarks. "They're not much good against gutter fish, but I can use them to help lure swarms away while we pick away at the stragglers." He offered. Edited by Jester, September 18, 2010, 7:43 pm.

Ianna brought up the Quest tracking window, anxious to know whether she'd progressed in the right direction to gather the stated roots. A soft sigh of relief revealed that she had, and before she closed it, she checked who she was bringing the roots to. Looking up after she'd closed the quest tracker, she noted the herbs which she was sure were the ones she needed for the quest, on the bank of the river beyond the bridge ahead. Definitely not too far out, then, she thought to herself, and began approaching them. Her silken locks were heavy on her back, and in the moment it took for her to swing her head, she noticed there were two small boars in front of the bridge. Though extremely wary of combat, they looked together not much higher in level than herself, and she could tell that they hadn't noticed her yet. Perhaps if she sent off a mana bolt or two, she could get their HP down enough that they wouldn't be too much trouble once they got into close-quarter combat with her. |

Itchira took note of the less than friendly disposition of his pets. She nodded quickly when he said he would help by getting the bulk away from them. "Alright." She said quickly, she would take any help, "I'll probably have my rat killing them primarily, I'm not sure how well my spells will work in water." She gave a light laugh as she looked into the water again, her spells would probably still work rather well, after all they were simply life draining spells. Before doing anything else she refreshed her unholy word buff then looked into the water. Her mind fiddling around some with some screens before sending a group request to Issac. "I'm Itchira by the way." She said more as a side thought. |

"I wouldn't do that." He said as he shook his head. "rats, even undead ones are at a disadvantage in the water against gutterfish. And the only spells that are effected by water would be that of the mages, and some spell do better with it." he said with a nod. "But on second thought, you can always just find another corps and get a new one I guess." He said with a shrug as he accepted the friends request. Issac than walked down to the shore of the river, motioned downstream and sent his boar down to one end of the decline of the ridge and his dog to the other. "Ok, so here's what I've got planned," He said as he put away his spear and pulled out a whip. "I'll send Rooner-2 into the river to draw them around, then he'll jump out and I'll send Grumps in to draw them over that way, as they swim passed we grab aggro from one of the stragglers and kill it, but we have to be out of the water in time for the trade off from grumps to Rooner-2 again because I don't want my pets dieing. Rooner-2 is rather likable and Grumps was a pain to get." He said with a laugh. "sound like a plan?" He asked. Issac had actually done a good bit of gutterfish hunting before, and had found it to be a good system, specially if he could subjugate one of the fish while he damaged it. (I'll put up a battle page post once we get started.) |

Itchira looked toward her rat then ordered it to wait. Issacs plan was interesting, and would work better then hers. She could probably stand just out of the water and cast her spell, if that didn't work to well she guessed she could get into the water also. "Alright." She stated as she moved toward the water, stopping just at its shore. "I'm ready." |

He had been waiting in line for a good thirty minutes. During this time he was checking out the levels of the applicants around him. He was the highest of the applicants but the three sitting down were higher levels then himself. It seemed he was gauranteed a spot in the guild by his level. Though that being said there were always variants that people could not count on. The line moved again and he came face to face with the three sitting down. He sized them up quickly before speaking. Hellow, I am Red XIII and as you can tell I am here for a spot in Grey Beasts. He gave a slight bow towards the three showing them the respect of their positions. |

(just as a side note mate, unless certain Items are possessed you're not able to actually tell the Level of those around you unless you are partied with them or they are on your friends listings. But one can always assume by equipment) The line had moved through simply enough, there hadn't been any particular issue with people giving grief about any of the responses or anything. It was simply a matter of numbers. When the line finally reached Red, and he stepped forwards the three sat as they had. The man on the crate seemed to have nearly dozed off into a nap as he sat there. Even though it was a game, the players could still doze off in it, they simply did not dream, for if they were to dream, they would simply reawaken in the game as they had began to. Mostly it was just zoning out into nothingness, and not many people did it sense it was pretty much a waste of time. The woman sat there on the bench impassively looking at Red as he walked up, and the man in robes nodded. He had short, buzz cut style brown hair and a pleasant enough look on his face, despite the intricate tattoo work along the left side of his head. "Alright, I'll need your class, level, reason for requesting, and your User Account Address." the man said. He was most likely noting it all down on a note window as people told him them. The account address was used for messaging the players when outside of a party or guild, or friend list. Several people could have the same character name, but only one person can have a Account Address, so it was what was used in messaging people outside of those lists, within those lists the list was just brought up and they were selected specifically for the purpose of messaging. I am a level seven warrior. My User Account Adress Is Alex3317@World.com. I am requesting to join because I believe it will benefit me to be in the company of people such as yourself. With my motivation and drive I believe I will be an asset to the guild and be able to help the other players if needed. Hopefully this would be enough to gain him entry. If not then there were the other three guilds but he would have to travel a good distance to apply to one of the others. He did not know if the entry would be guaranteed right away or if there was a selection process so he just waited there for the guild masters response. |

The man in the robes nodded and after a moment looked up again. "Very well, thank you for your application. We'll contact you if you are selected for the first stage of the acceptance process." He said. It was a rather impersonal process, but this was after all pretty much just dropping off the application, and probably a up front first impression. The 'interview' stage would likely come next if he was selected. "You're free to go. " The man added afterwards pleasantly enough. The woman who sat beside him had already shifted her attention to the next person in line, and the man on the crate suddenly started back to the present world and looked around somewhat surprised and then sighed, slumping down again once more looking bored. Kine, outside of the ring of onlookers, the likes of which had lessened over the time was now starting to clear out once again. The city of Kine was a bit rougher than WhiteRock. The NPC's were a little less frilled, and the building seemed to be made more crudely than that of WhiteRock. The city in general was still rather nice, but it wasn't as full of frill a the capital of the region. |
