Ash said shyly. She would ride with him, but not now, she didn't know him well enough to trust him. Emery looked mad at Claude, and Ash wasn't going to tempt him farther for now. She gave Claude an apologetic smile and climbed on the horse with Emery.

No Country #219#	Claude frowned a little, but he didn't really care that she didn't want to ride with him. Emery was happy that she picked him, but he was still irritated. Emery knew Claude's main goal was to piss him off along with helping, and he does it well. Claude took a running jump onto his horse, prancing infront of Emery Claude turned around " I'm sure youn don't know much about the land beyond this town, all you have to do is follow me and we should be just fine". Just before he turned back around Claude blew a kiss at Ash. Emery was following Claude's words up until he did that, but this time he let it go. Claude begin to move forword and Emery following right behind him.

No Country #219#	Following Claude, Emery made his horse walk slower so hecould have some distance between them. "Ash i'm sorry for the way my friend is acting. It's kind of weird that I call him my friend, he always does things like this. But he's helped me alot". As much as Claude was making him mad he was still happy to see him. Emery turned his head a little to look back " I know if he seen your face he would never leave you alone" Emery laughed a little but at the sametime the thought bugged him.

No Country #219#	Emery smiled a smile of relief, turning his head to face forward again. He looked intot he sky, and noticed green taking over the blue. "Wow already in the forest? he really does know his way around" the sound of birds took over the silence. And so did a voice as Claude pulled up next to them "Ash how did you two meet? And I am asking her Emery, I know how you like to answer for people". Emery didn't really mind him asking that, but he thought Claude didn't have to seem like such a jerk.

"you're telling me he just found you? you two didn't have some kind of hidden romance before? You missed him and you wanted to see him again, nothing like that?" . Emery coughed as if he was choking "ha so I was right?" Emery turned and looked at him "you always think you're right, I just had something stuck in my throat is all". Emery thought what Claude said was funny, and crazy at that.

Only means maybe it could be easy for me" Emery didn't like the sound of that one bit "if you think you have a chance, then have at her". He didn't mean to make it sound bad, as if Ash was some play thing, but he was sure that she won't go for him. "Really? you won't get mad if she picks me over you? You won't pull rank over me?" Emery laughed "Ash is her own women, she can pick who she wants". Emery was kind of feeling bad for talking like that "sorry Ash... I really didn't mean to talk about you like that" Claude has always made him act dumb, and that always got him in trouble.

Emery touched Ash's hand on his shoulder, as he touched her hand a smile came over his face. Looking forward he noticed Claude speed up "hang on around my waist Ash" kicking the sides of his horse, speeding off after Claude.

No Country #219#	Claude was going pretty fast, almost to fast for Emery's horse to keep up with. Looking forward Emery noticed Claude slow down, and Emery finally noticed Ash was having a hard time holding on. "sorry about that" he said with a chuckle. Claude comming to a full stop, Emery noticed the ground was changing" I wonder what that is?". As they got closer Emery noticed it was a lake, and from there he seen a river that lead back to the city "I had no clue this was here" he was in awe at how big it was. Claude got down from his horse "what do you say we take a break here?" now that the sun is down they could take a break. Claude wasn't sure if the guards would come this far, but the water could help them. Emery jumping down from his horse put his hand out to help Ash down. But as he did that Claude pushed him out of the way "please allow me to help you down lady Ash" .

Walking over to Ash, he put his arm around her and walked her over to the moon light filled lake "just can't get over how a lake can look with the shine of the moon at night" Claude being a flirt jut talked smoothly to almost all women. Emery just watched them walk off, as he went to his horse and took off its bit. Brushing the horses hair with his hand, Emery paid no mind to Ash and Claude.

He bent down and splashed water into his face. But he kept looking down into the water, letting out a big sigh and petting his horse as he drank. “ so Claude, where do we go from here?” Claude turned his head “we could go around it or through it, but it may be best to go around it”. Turning his attention back to Ash, Claude didn’t pay much mind to Emery “ so Ash may I ask why you are over her? I’m just curious about it. Of course that is you don’t mind telling me”. Emery stood up and put the bit back on his horse. Pulling at his horse as he started his way around the lake “ I’ll see you two on the other side, do take your time!!” he said as he walked off from them.

Claude on the other hand stood there as he watched Ash run to Emery’s side “well isn’t that a sight to see,there’s to this story then she tells me”. Claude shrugged it off and started walking behind the two, wishing to give them some space, and he wanted to observe how things went.

He couldn’t think of anything to say at the time, he just looked as they walked. Looking forward again he took another deep breath “sorry about that….” he said in a disappointed voice. “I shouldn’t be acting like this to you, I’m being dumb is all” he didn’t bother looking back at her. Walking with his head down, and thinking why he was being that way.

No Country #219#	“again sorry” Emery didn’t look back at her, only because he felt dumb for how he was acting. He couldn’t really think of why he was acting like that. He didn’t wish to hurt Ash though, so he changed how he was acting. Emery pulled Ash closer to him as they walked, he felt weird doing that, mainly cause Claude was around, so his face turned a little red. Claude’s eye’s grew big “well well well, little Emery growing up some” he spoke to himself, as he broke out into a little laugh.

She didn't want to get separated from him, he was her only chance. She smiled when he blushed and she was tempted to kiss his cheek, but she was bold enough, not yet.
