"It's not that." Ash told him. She wanted to join the two, but she couldn't. "I told you before, women don't have many freedoms in my kingdom." She hoped that he understood.

Emery let out a sigh and started swimming on his back again “alright I understand” then speaking under his breath “no pint in running away from what you hated if you still fallow the rules”. He didn’t really like that part of her, she still felt like she was in her land. But Emery figured it would be best to let it go, can’t change someone if they don’t wish to he figured. As he was floating on his back, Claude jumped on him and pulled him under the water. Emery came back up gasping for air, he swam to land and got out of the water. Falling to his knees, Emery was trying to catch his breath “Claude… I still hate you” he said short of breath. |

Ash got up and went over to Emery. She kissed his cheek lightly. "That's not it either." she told him quietly. She looked up and glared and Claude. |

Hearing Ash say that kind of confused him, he just can’t figure her out and he hates that. Finally catching his breath he sat down for a second “ Alright I understand“ he said it again and smiled, he looked up at Ash and noticed she was looking at Claude. Claude looked around and felt a little odd at how she was staring at him “what? Did I do something?” he knew why she was looking at him but he liked to act like an idiot. |

Ash rolled her eyes at him and turned her attention back to Emery. She knew he had no idea what she was talking about and she was alright with that for now. |

Claude got out of the water, he walked over to his clothes and put them back on. He started shaking his head to get the water out of it. “Lets head out” he walked over to his horse and jumped on him “it would be best not to sit in one spot for to long”. Emery agreed, standing up and putting his clothes back on. He whistled for his horse and his horse stood up . Right When Emery jumped on the horse he heard someone call his name and it was Claude or Ash. He turned to see who it was, and it was the guards of his kingdom just on the other side of the lake “Ash hurry!” he said as he held his hand out for her to grab. Claude started riding off without them, making sure the guards didn’t notice who he was. |

Ash reached up and grabbed his hand, swinging onto the back of the horse quickly. She pulled her hood up, hoping that it wouldn't fall. She knew the guards would recognize her and they would take her back. |

Riding as fast as they could, just to get away from the his kingdoms guards. Emery held Ash’s hand around him as tight as he could so she wouldn’t fall off. He Tried to follow Claude the best he could, but he just got away from them. Emery moved his horse into the thick of the woods, seeing tree’s pass them by, jumping through bushes. Looking back he noticed that the guards were no longer there. He looked back to see if Ash was still with him “Ash?” he was hoping she was, he couldn’t live with himself if they got her, all because of him. |

Emery slowed his horse down to a walk, he let out a deep breath “I thought I lost you”. He cracked a smile as she kissed his ear. As the continued through the forest, Emery was looking everywhere for Claude but he was nowhere to be found. “This is bad….” Emery looked around all over hoping he would pop up. “Well the good news, we got away from the guards. Bad news we’ll have to find the nearest town…. And hope he’s there” he wasn’t sure what was in store for them now. But it didn’t seem so bad, it was a beautiful day out and he was finally alone with Ash. Emery leaned back a little and kissed Ash “even though we lost our guide, I’m glad I get to be alone with you for a little bit” he smiled as he made sure his horse was walking at a steady pace, for himself and for the both of them. |

"Me too." Ash smiled up at him, glad that he had kissed her again. "Before, when I was going in the water, remember how I told you women were kept on a short leash? Well I can't...you know." Ash looked away, embarrassed. |
