Leo was wandering around, he knew that he needed to feed. He sighed, not sure what to hunt own for food. He was in the outskirts of an old town, the one he grew up in his human life. Leo smelled a cat Better than anything else that I've found. Leo followed the scent until he found it. It was scrawny from lack of food, not surprising in this day and age. He got closer and caught it easily and fed. He felt better once he did, and sighed in content as he stood up. He headed back up to the town, not sure and not caring if anybody was nearby. |

Sitting on the doorstep of our tiny cottage, I could only dream of better days. My brother was inside, starting up a fire, and I could smell the smoke, and the smell of pine even from outside. We both didn't really need a fire, for we stayed cold... forever, but we both enjoyed pretending we were still normal. We wished we were. I jumped up, a huge smile on my face, and was about to run in, when I heard a noise not too far away. It was another vampire, it was easy to tell, and i turned around, a scared look on my face. we hadn't met other vampires in quite a while, and I may be old and knowledgeable, but my brother usually did the fighting. I backed up a bit, and ran into our cottage and shook my brother. "Brothy..Vampire." Sis was sitting outside while I tended to the fire. I had always been close to it, and it made me feel happy. It was when my sis came to me, shaking my shoulder, telling me vampire, was when I started to become angry. Even if I was a vampire, I hated being one, and I hated our race all the same. It could be from past experiences, but I still hate them anyway. "Ok.."I whispered, pulling her out with me as not to leave her unguarded. I could smell him too, the sick, sweet stench of another one of our kind. I went over to the smell, irritated, but seeing what was going on. There he was, just done with feeding, standing there, coming to the little town we lived in. "What are you doing here?" My voice was a growl but a purr at the same time. I was in a ready stance, my eyes wary and ready to fight. |

"I'm only passing through." Leo replied back. He was never a social butterfly, nor would he ever be. It felt strange to talk, seeing as he hadn't spoken a word in months, perhaps even a year. The sound of his voice startled him, he had forgoton what it sounded like. Leo got closer to the other vampire and looked him over. The other was taller than Leo, but he didn't care. He would fight his way out if he had to, but he hoped that it wouldn't come to that. "I apologize if this is your territory, and alos for having a meal." Leo looked up into the vampire's eyes, unsure of his reaction. Leo hoped that he wasn't a violent person, or one with a short temper. |

Enjoying a peace-filled morning, Fatalia beamed as the wind shifted through every single feather in her wings. Everything below her, and only her Father above her. Not that they talked much, just because she was his daughter didn't mean she was by his side day in day out. She loved him dearly, but at the same time couldn't stand to be around him for too long, the false threats got old fast... "Look what's happening to the World!" he'd say... "If those devils know what's good for them, they will go back to the firey depths from whence they came!" He knew that noone in the Shani group would even think of attacking the other side collectively for years to come, so Fatalia couldn't understand why her Father even bothered. She wanted to fight too, but the agreement had been final, and there was no use complaning about it. Deciding to take a look at solid ground for a while, the Angel leant forward and tucked in her wings. Then, the dive began. Fatalia couldn't help but let a laugh escape, the adrenaline definitely awakening her spirit. The clouds were rushing past her at a fantastic speed, until finally the brown, barren earth could be seen clearly below her. As the ground drew closer, she began to increase her wingspan once more, starting to make out any sign of civilisation. No human would've cared to have seen an Angel on Earth anymore. That fantasy was long dead. Only Creatures and Crawlers, the Demons and the Dead roamed these lands anymore. Not all of them were bad or evil, some simply confused or misunderstood. There were even fellow Shani down here, or so the Angel had been told. Finally touching the dirty earth, Fatalia could see only a town not 50 metres away from her. The air was quiet, closely resembling the rest of the atmosphere. Everything seemed dead. Best I check things out in town.. She thought. As she entered the town, the girl felt a sudden chill come to her breath, now visible. Her spine began to tingle, and her wings flexed ever so slightly. She was not alone anymore. She could hear voices, however faint they may have been, and there was a hint of smoke in the air. A fire, perhaps? Hovering off the ground as to not make any noise, Fatalia's wings carried her to the smell of smoke. As she neared a corner, the stench got thicker and thicker. Landing back on the ground silently, she tucked her wing behind her before she peered out from behind the wall. Slowly and careful, her red eyes scanned the area. There stood three beings, two of them -one male and one female - near a makeshift fire, the other a little further away. They seemed human, but something was definitely off about their skin. It was much paler than any human she'd ever taken the life of. Suddenly, the thought snapped to Fatalia's head. Vampires! Of course. The male near the fire seemed to be a little on edge while the female stood half beside - half behind him. Fatalia's brain began to work to figure out what was going down. It seemed that, given the circumstances, it was either a confrontation over territory, or the other vampire was simply not a friendly face to them, even less one that they wanted around. Inhaling deeply, Fatalia took her first, timid step out from behind the wall. She wasn't too good with introductions, having always been shy. Could you imagine that? A Shy Angel of Death and War? She was a walking contradiction. Something needed to be said, before someone attacked, the Angel knew that much. "He..Hello There. I..is there anything I c-can help with?" Her stance was ready, without a doubt. But the expression on her face was enough to tell you that she wasn't comfortable with the situation she'd found herself in... |

Leo had heard the girl speak, but refused to let his head turn. He still felt as though the male vampire would attack him in a second. Leo wasn't scared of the fight, but rather how the girls would react if he ripped the male's head off. Leo took a deep breath and glanced over at the new arrival. He saw he wings quickly, and saw that she didn't like the situation she was in. An angel, but of what? Leo eyed her for a second and glanced back at the male vampire, and saw no violence, nor plan to attack. He let his head turn, making it clear that he was looking at the angel. |

As Fatalia took a brave, voluntary footstep forward. She could feel the third vampire's eyes on her now, his sight set on her entire form. What did he want from her? A feed perhaps? It would not be wise, for while Angel's blood was one of the purest of substances, a healing agent even able to resurrect a freshly dead body, it was helpful only to Angels. To anything else, deadly from the first drop. The minute he bit her, was the minute the vampire bit the bullet, so to speak. Beginning to gain her composure, having become accustomed to watching eyes, Fatalia began to speak again, with more confidence than before. "I am but an Angel, and my affairs lie only with War and Death. If you wish me harm, the moment you attack is the moment I realise you as my enemy." Immediately after finishing the sentence, the Angel stepped forward again, closing the gap between her and the two Vampires near the fire. Suddenly a pure, white bow appeared around her left shoulder, ready to be thread down her arm and into her hand if the need arose. Though noone would've noticed it, a quiver, filled entirely with hundreds of arrows appeared on her back, between her wings. "Pay no attention to the weapon I now possess. It is merely a precaution. I've no intention on hurt anyone, unless they strike first." Her reassurances were hopefully not going unnoticed, as the male seemed very protective of his female counterpart. "Now.. Could we skip the introductions? I'd really like to know what's going on here. Help me out guys." All the formality went out the window with that sentence, as Fatalia tried to ease the tense atmosphere. |

"I would love to tell you, if only I myself knew." Leo turned the rest of his body to face her. He wasn't sure what she wanted from them, but he knew that she was an oddity her home. Leo cocked his head a bit to the right at her words. He didn't quite believe her, but he knew she was speaking the truth. Leo inhaled her scent, recognizing her as an angel before she said it. He was wary of her weapons, but he had his own. He was full and had no intentions of attacking anyone for a few days. Leo'd lips twitched slightly, but he wasn't sure if it was a smile or a frown, but neither showed on his face, as it remained expressionless. |

Something was wrong here, the air wasn't right. There was an evil, however slight, aura to it. Instead of exposing her real thoughts on the situation, Fatalia smirked coyly. This was indeed unusual for her, not that they'd of known that. Her voice took on a tone of mock innocence, playing off the vampire's expressionless face. It was more difficult than it looked. Suddenly it hit her, and as she began to speak, she tried to keep up a neutral front. "So.. this is nothing? Right here? Even though it *seems* like this one over here looks like he's ready to take you on... Demon?" As the air fell silent again, the Angel's smile disappeared from her face, replaced with a glare that only stone could stare through. Lucky, he was made of stone, sorta. Her hate for the demons honestly had no limits. It had been such for two Millennia. All her memories would forever come and go, but her standing with them would forever stay the same. She hated, absolutely loathed them. To be on the same planet as them was an insult, let alone standing not ten feet from one, end of story. Perhaps there is reason to attack after all... She thought to herself. The bow began to slide ever so slighty down her arm, making it tingle as the goosebumps rose. She had a rather clear shot here, if she were quick... "What's it going to be Demon? Flight or Fight? And just for the record, I'm pretty good at both." As she spoke her large wings flapped powerfully, carrying her high into the sky within seconds. She hovered in front of the sun, allowing her some cover as she primed her bow with a rather sharp, black arrow. She could still see the three forms as clear as day from up there. Giggling happily and seemingly innocently as if she were a child, playing with her favourite toy, Fatalia fired her first shot, aiming for the Demon Vampire's foot. Leo jumped to the side, easily avoiding the shot. He wasn't sure ig he would run or fight, but he knew he didn't want to do either. "I chose to simply dodge your attacks!" he shouted up at her. Leo straighten himself up, putting his hands in his pockets. He was waiting for her next move. He knew he was fast enough to continue dodging her, but he knew he had no chance of fighting her or running. He was tempted to ask the others for help, but they wouldn't help. Leo was on his own, fighting for his life again, even though he didn't care too much for it. |

Fatalia simply laughed at the Demon's choice, almost certain that he wasn't one to fight, unless he truly had to. Well, today was his lucky day. Or was it hers? In any case, down she dived, out of the way of the sun and towards, where she'd been not two minutes ago. Her red hair flicked around in the cool breeze, almost like a hot flame that wanted to contradict the scene. "Alright then, creature!" She spat the words out like poison. "But you won't want to keep this up forever." One, Two, Three. More arrows flew at the Demon with amazing speed. Fatalia knew he would continue to dodge her, as he'd stated. But for now, she thought about just having some fun with her newfound prey. The giggles were still as innocent as a child's laughter, and sounded like it too, to be honest. Fatalia hadn't had this much fun in centuries. She had to get out more, go demon hunting more often. She hadn't realised how fun it really was. |

Leo continued dodging her attacks. She said that this would get old for him, but it wouldn't at least not until he had to hunt again. He sighed, tempted to walk away. He had a feeling that she wouldn't kill him, and it wasn't like his life had any meaning. He already had been discharged and didn't have to fight ever again. Leo stood up straight up again. He was watching her, only slightly willing to stay and continue this game. He smiled a bit to himself, knowing that he could walk away, but he had a feeling that he needed to stay. He didn't care of the others helped anymore. |

As the Angel hovered a little way aways from her prey, she sighed beginning to become annoyed that she still hadn't hit the vampire a single time. She'd never once missed a target before. And, granted that te vampire was super-humanly fast didn't make the job all that much easier (even thouh she was technically as fast as him - the arrows were not. "Alright then, creature of the Devil. This seems to be going nowhere and I'm just wasting arrows." The minute the words were said, her bow vanished into a white flash, along with the accompanying arrows. Another sigh escaped the "teenager's" lips as they curled upwards into another smirk. Another flash of light and suddenly, grasped tightly in her palm, was an exceptionally long katana - at least twice the length of an ordinary one. It shimmered brightly as she inspected it. "Let's see how you are at close quarters." As she took stance, the blade sang out a melodic ringing sound. "Come at me.. with all you have." Edited by Blue, August 1, 2010, 2:26 am.

Leo sighed a bit and turned around. He had no desire to fight, and he wouldn't. Even if it meant his death, he would let it happen. This was a pointless war and he didn't believe that sibling should be forced to kiss siiblings. If the stupid had a purpose, then perhaps Leo would fight on the side he agreed with. Leo walked away, for some reason know she would either follow or attack him again. He walked back out to where he had killed the cat earlier, sensing the familarity of the spot. He climbed up a tree, making himself comfortable to wait out the angels visit and he could continue on his way. |

As the Demon turned away from her, Fatalia felt outraged. How dare he walk away from her?! Was he so broken and lost that he could not even muster the strength to fight, even for his life? The Angel spat at the ground. What a coward he'd been, she wished she could just take his life and be done with it. However, as much as it made her skin crawl, she turned away from him. It was her duty not to kill those who were defenceless or had no will to fight, no matter their race or faction. One last sigh escaped the disappointed Angel's lips. Something was bothering her, other than the obvious. What was his purpose if not to fight? The Angel flapped her wings again, still bearing her favourite sword safely and tightly in her right hand. She could sense the Demon somewhere nearby. A flicker in the only tree around confirmed her suspicion. Taking flight, she rushed over to it, almost perching herself on a stable branch. High above, she could see the Vampire sitting, looking as though he were waiting for something. For her to leave, or so she assumed. "You. Thing." She called to him with curious hate, trying to get his attention. Flapping once more, she quickly found herself next to him, suspended in midair. "Why do you not fight for your life? What is your purpose? You, a Demon Vampire. Yours is an existence that many wouldn't take lightly. Do you not work under that Dark Master of Hell?" The questions were rather pointed, but she honestly couldn't have cared less. |

"I have a name you know. It's Leo. And my life means nothing to me, so I don't fight for it. And he has no power over me antmore, I've paid my debt." Leo was getting annoyed with this Angel, but at least he wasn't praticaly yelling at her, demanding answers that he had no right to. Leo refused to look at her. He jumped out of the tree, planning to talk when she gained something other than hate for him. He usually didn't mind, but he knew she was capable of at least treating him like he was more than dirt under her feet. He had had enough of that for the rest of his life. |

Fatalia was not an Angel of Patience, she was one of Death and War. She couldn't help that she was a little forthcoming and rude at times. After all she'd seen, he probably would've understood... Well, perhaps he already did. She wanted some answers, and she wasn't leaving him alone just yet. It was time to cool the engines a little. Her voice became a little more welcoming, its tone turning velvet. "Well then.. Leo." It was difficult to think that a follower of Satan had a name, and even harder to swallow as a fact. The Angel followed quickly behind the Vampire. "Perhaps I was wrong about you. I apologise for earlier." No way had she stopped hating him, but she could at least respect him as her sworn enemy, and pity him as a fellow living, breathing-- well, as another being anyway... Suddenly, it came to her attention that her blade was passing him as she walked a few footsteps behind him, and was clearly within his field of vision. A long, white flash and Murasame disappeared from view. "Old habits die hard I guess.." Stepping forward, quickly, she caught up to him and began to walk side by side with the who called himself Leo. "If your life mean nothing, wouldn't you simply take it, an be done." Realising how that must have sounded, Fatalia immediately backtracked. "Well, you know what I mean. If living is such a burden for you, why do you continue on?" |

"That wasn't so hard now, was it?" Leo smiled a bit, glad that he wasn't being treated like dirt anymore. He saw the blade and tensed up a bit, until it was taken away. He watched as she caught up with him, then walked next to him. "I'm really not sure why I do, I just keep going." Leo didn't look at her. He really didn't know why he kept going, but he did. Leo looked at her with his eyes, not turning his head to face her. It's been way too long since I had any type of interaction if I'm this nervous around her. He was neverous, and he knew that it was why he wouldn't look her in the face again. |

Liota ran around the training camp for her daily practice. Well, it was a training camp, if by training camp you meant a small track made by clearing trash away. It was only a minute long walk from the shack and it was always good before what you could call meals. It's never really been the same since the demons came. Only the strong can survive now. She hadn't met many people since the uprising. Or at least people that were still alive. She had no time for people anyways. Kill or be killed. You could never really tell who was who anyways. With the shapeshifters and whatnot. |

Fatalia frowned at the way the Demon walked. He wasn't injured in any way during the fight, that she was aware of anyway.. But there was something making him walk a little awkwardly.. Was he nervous? He needn't be. The Angel was over trying to kill him. He technically wasn't even a demon anymore, merely a seemingly neutral Vampire. Not a threat to her. "I see. Well, there must be something. Maybe I'll stick around a bit, help you find what it is that gives you purpose in life." The sun had now crept away, and the darkness was upon them. Well.. not really. Fatalia was glowing divinely, being an Angel meant that you were your own personal flashlight. Everything from at least a couple metres away could be seen as clear as the day. "I have grown tired of my Father. He is not who He used to be, and I feel like we've grown quite far apart. It doesn't bother me, I'm still an Angel of Death, but.. I don't think.." Fatalia stopped, an epiphany striking her like a lightning bolt. "I don't think I can be a Shani anymore. I'll have to go on my own, and carry out my own will." There were no tears shed at the sudden loss of her own identity, no grieving for the countless Angels she'd be leaving behind. Turning slowly towards the Vampire, the girl reached out a hand, her wings lowering themselves. "Will you come with me? Perhaps it is both of us.. who need a new purpose." |

"Yeah." Leo smiled and look at her, stunned for a second from the light. It hurt his eyes a bit, but the pain went away quickly. Leo wasn't really sure what else to say and he looked away again Damn it, what is it about her that makes me like this? He bit his lip, and smiled to himself as he looked at her with his eyes. |

Fatalia watched him smile at her for a moment, she finally took in his eyes with her own. Almost purely black pupils, how interesting. "Excellent, we'll stick together then." Returning the smile with a welcoming one of her own, the Angel let out a small yawn. She hadn't had much sleep lately. "I uh.. don't suppose you sleep, do you?" A cute laugh escaped her lips. No matter how hard she tried, for the immortal life of her, she couldn't muster any type of anger or hatred towards this creature anymore. They were equal. She wasn't a Shani, he wasn't a Demon. They were simply who they were. Already, Fatalia could feel herself warming up to him a little bit. How extraordinary.. It wasn't love, not by any standard. But.. it wasn't exactly hate either. So would consider herself his friend, but if he saw it differently, she supposed that she would go along with what he liked, within reason anyway. It was then she realised she was still staring at him. Eyes darting away quickly, she returned to the matter at hand. "I think I'm going to get some sleep before we head out on our little journey.. I hope you don't mind waiting for a few hours.." Turning away from him, she flew back off to the tree they'd exchanged their first real greeting, found a large branch and got comfortable. In the moment she was in the air, she must have looked like a great star in the Night Sky. She called back down to Leo, wondering if he'd come up with her. "Don't try anything funny while I'm sleeping!" she joked... Well half-joked. She hoped he wouldn't try anything. Violent or otherwise... Edited by Blue, August 1, 2010, 5:01 am.

"I don't mind."Leo said, following her to the tree. He looked up at her while she was flying. Wow, she's beautiful Leo shook his head, getting rid of those thought imediatly. He climbed back up the tree and settled in next to her. He didn't need to slepp, but he would wait. It had been years since Leo even looked at a girl that was more than his boss. He had forgotten how to act around them. He was extremely nervous with this Angel, who's name he still didn't know. "I didn't catch your name earlier, could you tell me again?" he asked, whispering into her ear. He was afraid that she might be asleep and he didn't want to wake her up. |

The Angel failed to supress a slight giggle as Leo whispered into her ear. Her hearing had always been very sensitive and whenever one would whisper into her ear, the vibrations would tickle her. She squirmed at the funny feeling, trying to remain as still as possible so that she didn't accidently knock her new friend off the branch. "Heehee, you don't need to whisper. I can hear you just fine." Another yawn arose, a large one this time, and her chest heaved heavily, before relaxing back into its original state. Fatalia's eyes remained shut, her consciousness beginning to slip away. "My Name...is Fatalia.." She ended up whispering to Leo anyway, even after she said it wasn't neccesary. But soon the sleep fully eclipsed her, as she fell into her peaceful dreams. Or at least what she hoped would be peaceful... |
