  • A group of friends amidst college have decided to become roomies with eachother in an apartment complex at the windy city; Chicago. Seeking new independence, each and every one of these young adults have taken it upon themselves to challenge life's endeavors for whatever is to come. Having to deal parents, jobs, lovers, and more, these young adults are struggling to balance out their lives. Though they have their differences, without one another each of these people would most likely fail- but, when together, this plucky crowd can surely succeed.

They... just haven't noticed that yet.
___________________________________________________________________________________
Currently...

  • The roleplay starts out as the first few people bring their belongings up to their unassigned rooms, which are 9B, 9C, and 9D. Even with the best attitudes, people can show their worst when battling for the largest bedroom or perhaps the cleanest restroom. I hope for drama and hilarity when they show their teeth to one another.

  • Sunny, clouds in the sky, windy. 65 degrees F.

[ Sorry there wasn't much of an introduction, there isn't much complexity to this RP. I was hoping we could start a storyline with all the roleplayers in on it rather than strictly having it to one storyline. This way, we can have more than one plot going if need be or if preferred, depending on how many people join. ]

Name: Charlie Hayes (Jr.)
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Job: He's a pizza guy. You order it, he delivers it.
Personality: He's a pretty chill guy, a joker if you will. He likes to mess with his friends a lot; sometimes, though he does it too much and often get's on their nerves. Despite his joking his ways, he's actually quite chivalrous to the other gender, though he often covers it when around his male friends. The glass for Charlie is usually always half full, no matter how bad the situation. He usually can always cheer somebody up. Some bad points Charlie has, is he almost never follows through with his plans; often times promises can be broken unknowingly. He forgets things much too fast, and he sometimes gets into trouble for it.
Quirks: He dislikes it when people lie, he gets offended at it much too quickly. People who stay inside too much, and are shallow really make him tick.
Biography: He was born and raised in southern Wisconsin, to Laurie and Charlie Hayes. Throughout his young childhood he dreamed of moving to the big city, but never knew how he could. At the age of 14 his older sister (whom had already moved to Chicago many years before) offered him a stay in the extra room at her apartment, to which he immediately accepted, much to the dismay of his parents. Though disliking the idea, they both agreed to let Charlie move in with her as they both knew there were better opportunites awaiting him. Ecstatic, he moved in with his sister. And over time, his wholesome mind grew intelligent and witty, ambitious and adventurous. As he and his sister grew older, so did Charlie's opportunities. When time came that he had to choose a college, he decided to go to a local one uptown. His sister, though welcoming Charlie's stay at her home, pushed Charlie to get a job and an apartment with friends. Charlie agreed, much to his sister's luck. After a year of college and making new friends, the ambitious group chipped in money for three apartments next to eachother a few blocks away from their college so they could all be neighbors and roommates.
That is where Charlie is at this point.
Appearance: Charlie stands at 5'9, and is fairly lean. Naturally, his hair color is a light brown. But since school started, he's died it red based on a dare from a friend. Oddly, after it grew out Charlie redid it, as he grew so accustomed with the colour that he wanted it again. He has dark blue eyes and light skin, but not extremely pale.
Other: Charlie has lately had an open relationship with a girl named Jade [npc] that lives a few blocks down the road in a flat. Partly infatuated with her, Charlie fails to notice how much she dislikes the group he hangs out with, and plans on persuading him to ditch the apartment and move in with her own friends down the street.

[[sorry it's a bit long...I got carried away. And I'm assuming I'm supposed to just post it here in the board??]]

Name:Ada Livingston
Age:20
Gender:Female
Job: She works at the nearby Gamestop, where she gets great sales due to the fact that she's the best looking video game retailer out there.
Personality:The first impression you'd get from Ada is that she liked to keep to herself. She doesn't talk to people she doesn't know unless she has to, she doesn't keep friends for very long, and she would rather sit in her own room and zone out to a good movie rather than hit the town on a Friday night. Most people assume that this quality of hers is due to snobbishness, however it's far from the truth. Ada has extreme social anxiety, and the only places she truly feels comfortable in society are her game store, her room, in the darkness of a movie theater, or sitting alone in a corner of her favorite bubble tea shop. Needless to say, she doesn't get out much except to go to work.

The flip side of her anxiety, is that she is an extremely fun and spontaneous person when she's in her element. She longs to love and be loved, and in fact secretly writes romance fiction online. When she's with someone she feels safe with, she smiles a lot, is rather funny and mostly just an adorable girl altogether. But getting that close to Ada is a challenge, she keeps a lot of walls around her and there's only a few ways to get to her heart. One of them is to be good looking, which, in her mind, means skinny and fair skinned, with a sort of strange beauty. Her aesthetics when it comes to men, and sometimes even women, is the unexpected, she doesn't go for the hot, buff, tan skinned beauty, but more a dark and quirky look.

Ada's major flaws are her anxiety, fiery temper, and introversion. She might seem queit and innocent, but when she's angry about something, she is extremely expressive about it. To clarify, Ada isn't passive, and she isn't quiet for lack of articulation; she simply prefers to not speak in situations she feels would have pointless outcomes. No, she doesn't ask the grocery store cashier how their day is going, the answer is obvious, and she'll never see this person again. However, she will talk for hours about her ideas for a new video game, or the latest movies she's seen with her co-workers because they matter to her, and it's fun to pass time that way. This might come off as rude, but Ada has a very harsh outlook on social interaction, and can be one of those 'tough love' kind of people even in close relationships. Often she lashes out when frustrated, which is usually a big surprise to people who are just her acquaintances, especially when they see her chuck the remote control across the room because there's nothing on or let out angry growls while trying to battle the pickle jar in the kitchen.

Ada has good qualities too though, she is a great listener, emotional and expressive, well articulated, sharp and intuitive, spunky, nerdy and cute. From someone who just met her, it might seem like she's a big mystery, which she is, but if you get to understand her, you'll find a complexity worth the effort. Being around her when she's happy is amazing, she's one of those girls that sometimes you can't believe is real. She'll surprise you in all the right ways, if you can get past all the obstacles on the way. Now, she's moving into her 2nd house since moving to Chicago, and has been living in the area for 2 years.

Quirks: Things malfunctioning. Whether it's her stupid Xbox or the vending machine at work, when something frustrates her, she doesn't hesitate on releasing her anger, and often ends up breaking things. Pressure, if anyone tries to push her in one direction or another, he first instinct is to run away, burning any bridges in her path. Her parents wanted her to go to college, what did she do? She moved out on her own to sell video games. Other pet peeves include: socks, worms, bad smells, neat freaks, bus drivers, homeless people and bureaucracy.
Biography:Her story is much simpler than she'd be willing to admit. And so for the most part Ada doesn't talk about her past. But if you were to look into it, you'd find that she had a normal, happy upbringing, with well meaning parents, a younger brother she is extremely close with and lots of pets. She grew up in Idaho, in a square town, with square people and going to a square school. She was always the loner, choosing media and animals always before other people, losing herself in stories and games. She went all through high school never dating anyone and left for college only to blow everyone off and move to Chicago, hundreds of miles away from the college she was supposed to attend and anyone she knew in her life.

She still talks to her brother, Hadyn, who is 16 now, but refuses to interact with her parents until they come off their high horse and accept that she's going to do whatever she wants with her life. She loved her family, but it's more about making a point than anything. Ada has never had a best friend, and has never had a serious relationship. Now she's coming to terms with being an adult, not in being self sufficient(she has that one down, being more mature than anyone she knows in her age group), but with being a woman and finding a way to have love in her life and healthy relationships with real live people.
Appearance: Thick blond bangs frame her heart shaped face, fringing into a long bob with red underneath. When she ties her hair up, usually in messy pigtails or twin buns, you can see the bottom layer is a dark auburn, while the top layers are a light natural honey color. Her eyes are blue, but more of a grayish green hue, she often jokes that her eyes are the ocean, because if you look close there's little flecks of gold resembling sand bars in the sea. Her skin is usually mid toned, freckles cover her cheeks, the bridge of her nose and her shoulders. It's soft and smooth, always seeming rather sun kissed and warm, even though she isn't much of an outdoorsy type.

She is 5'7, not extremely skinny, but not overweight either, more of a womanly figure with gentle curves and a very fluid form. She prides herself in not looking like a little boy and not like a porn star either. Maybe she has that kind of girl next door kind of look. Her features are young and fresh, with subtle lips, soft curving eyebrows, large oval shaped eyes and a rounded straight nose. Her hands are boyish and not as dainty or graceful as some women's hands, and she keeps her fingernails short and natural looking. Although Ada isn't a stick figure, she is small and has a very “small” feeling way about her. She doesn't wear much makeup, but she'll wear a thin layer of brown eyeliner and mascara to accentuate her eyes, which are her best feature.

Ada isn't extremely fashion forward, she likes to wear comfortable, casual clothes. Her color pallet for everything from her room to her shoes is grays, black, white and accent colors like marine blue and bright yellow or pink. She often wears sweats and a screen printed t-shirt, with her hair tied up and wearing flip flops or worn out vans. If you catch her on a day she feels like dressing up, she might be wearing a light flowing white dress or a black silky jumper. Either way she dresses like a geek, but looks good no matter what she puts on. Around the house she's either in boxers and a tank top, an over sized flannel tshirt with leggings, or sweatpants and a printed shirt. No socks, she hates socks and avoids them whenever possible.

Other: Besides being a total nerd, Ada can be extremely competitive when it comes to anything. She's not a neat freak, but she has an organized chaos, often seeming messy to others, but she enjoys the relaxed feel of her space. But when it comes to grossness, she's slightly neurotic, especially involving clothes and sheets, which are washed religiously. Her room is bold and graphic, with bright contrasting colors, game posters plastered on the walls along with movies and music she likes. She has a rather boyish room, but in her mind it's the coolest place in the world. It has a very mod feel to it, and is very fun to hang out in simply for all the things there is to look at in the room, which is filled with collectibles and organized clutter.

That's okay, I don't mind long biographies, they're interesting to me. Sorry I didn't reply to you earlier, I've been dogsitting.
You can post, if you like, and we can plan for our characters to meet up somehow. Also, the actual roleplay is in the IC forum under realistic, it won't be hard to find.

I'd like to say that first off- Romantic Calamity Girl, have you been inside my head? Your Ada character is like... my idea of a perfect girl. :>>

Name: Dash Stevens

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Job: Dash sells his art work for a living.

Personality: Dash is, well, a nice guy (and is kind of a geek). In his high school, he never got the girl, he never went to dances, he got pity asked to prom... His life was, well, pretty bland. He made up for this, though, with an uproariously outrageous demeanor, which was countered by an often, introspective, contemplative quiet.

Dash, though occasionally chauvinistic (mostly for teh lulz), is also gallant and chivalrous. He will hold doors for girls, allow them to pass, and be nice (he's a nice guy, remember?).

Dash does, however, have a problem with anger. He can be angered somewhat easily. And, when he is angered, he responds like C4- bluntly, inarticulately, and very very destructively.

Quirks: Dash cannot stand fake people (hah, coming from a roleplayer). Dash can neither stand bullies. He can't stand people who make fun of him or his art work. He can't stand homophobes.

Dash, also, finds that there are three things that relax him. Playing Call of Duty (mostly Modern Warfare 2), drawing, and playing his guitar. He almost never leaves his acoustic guitar down when he's about, and at home, the amp for his Les Paul is turned to 11.

Biography: Dash grew up in a seaside town known as San Francisco, California. There he attended the San Francisco JBBP for his elementary years in order to study Japanese. His parents were mildly well off, both being Registered Nurses, and thus he was able to live relatively well. Later, Dash attended the San Francisco School of the Arts High School (quite a mouthful, call it Sota). He graduated pretty much bottom of his class- his poor work ethic left him distastefully poorly off with his school work.

A guiding light, however, came in the form of a recruiter for for a college in the Windy City. After a few discussions, and a signed paper stating that Dash would work hard, he was accepted into the school. He detained his immediate inclusion, on the grounds that he was scheduled to tour Europe and the Mediterranean for a year first. His spot was held.

Appearance: Dash is, well, a big guy. He stands at a rather impressive six-foot-two, or roughly one-point-eight-six meters. He has short, shaggy brown hair that he wears no longer parted, and it hangs in his face. He has steely blue-green eyes that shift color from day to day. He has tanned skin, which is natural, seeing as he is of Native Hawaiian blood.

Dash tends to wear comfortable clothes that have a function. He wears, typically, a button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up, over the top of a regular tee shirt and blue jeans. He has a pair of size 13 extra wide converse (a rare find) that are black and beat up. They're great, he says.

Other: Dash loves nerds. Can't help himself. He finds that he can interact with them better than "normal" people.

(I apologise if you're no longer accepting, but I assumed that "O/A" had something to do with being open and still accepting. If not, just tell me to remove my post and I will do so.)

Name: Brendan Meredith

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Job: Brendan works four days a week at a fiction store that specialises in Anime/Manga. The hours are great, and taking in into account the amount of time he works, so is the pay (it allows him to pay for his share of the apartment). But the boy really took the job in the first place because of his love for anime (he's still just setting out on being an expert - he's watched about 5 different anime series, and would like to get into Manga as well one day.)

Personality: Brendan is a complex boy. If you were to ask him who he was, he'd give you the obvious answer, - his name - but deep down, he doesn't know who he is yet. He's working on it day in day out, but his struggle in doing so seemingly never ends. The first, key point of his personality is that he suffers chronic depression. He is friends with only a select group of people, and really isn't too rushed on making new ones. He does not respond well to change and feels that familiarity is key to stability in his life. Another thing to note, his shyness. A critical point about Brendan is he is a pacifist when it comes to people. He cannot physically bring himself to assert himself or his opinions, believing firmly that it’s not worth the trouble.

For example; if someone were to cut in line in front of him at a fast food outlet, he'd stand by and let it happen. If someone tried to start an argument, he would immediately back down. Confrontation frightens him a little bit. Making a scene is the last thing this guy wants. The word "pushover" comes to mind when attempting to describe him and deep down, it’s one of the things he hates about himself. He is also a people pleaser, trying where he can to help his friends in need and going far out of his own way to lend a hand. He does this partly because it’s the right thing to do, but also because he feels if he doesn’t, people will like him less.

He’s very insecure about himself, especially in the cases of his appearance and his intelligence. He’s really a bright boy, but finds himself daydreaming too easily – distracted too easily, and believes that he is stupid. He has the potential, but to the outsider would seem as though he was waiting for something. His biggest fault? He lacks motivation. He would rather stay inside for the rest of his life than see the world and live. Something in his psyche just holds him back, and he honestly doesn’t mind that. The easy, breezy, normal life for him. There is only one thing he wants in this world, and if he doesn’t get it soon, he will give up on life. That thing... is love. Not a familial love, not a close friendship kind of love. The real, unrelenting type that isn’t based around someone’s looks or things they do, but on the fundamental, basic ability of one’s heart. He wants to feel it for someone, and he wants someone to feel it, in turn, for him.

Quirks: Nothing could possibly upset Brendan more in this world than when people aren’t true to themselves. He is the exception to that rule for the time being, because he doesn’t know who “himself” is. But in the world of materialism and what it is to be human, there are a million and one things he doesn’t like, things that get on his nerves. But, due to his extreme case of pacifism, he won’t call anybody on their faults or objects of his dislike.

Biography: Brendan was born in Australia, where his parents raised him until the age of 16. Because of this, he has the accent – people still understand him relatively well in the States, though at times he can talk a little fast. His parents loved him to death, and wanted the best for their son. And the best is what they gave him, spoiled him and his younger brother rotten. He lived a sheltered life in Australia, and mentally; this is probably what led to all his personality faults. His parents (especially his mother) were very overprotective of him, which in turn led him to sort of fear the world. Fear people.

He had few friends at school, having around 7-8 “real” friends. They cared about him and vice versa. But when his uncle called for him to come and stay in the States “for a while” - experience another world for once - Brendan reluctantly agreed, leaving what he knew as “his” world behind. His friends were not supportive of his decision, and isolated him. He no longer speaks to those “friends” he once had, and even his parents are now distant, (it had been two years after all) sending gifts for birthdays and Christmases but never offering to come to the States or ask him to come down for a holiday. Brendan had become a resident of the United States, feeling that his immediate family and friends had kind of abandoned him.

Trying to assimilate into U.S. society was a challenge for him. College had been the most difficult part. Students (supposedly “Grown up”) teased him about his accent, his love for writing and Anime and Manga. He was the “freak” of school. This was the final step down into his depression. This went on for a number of months, bordering on a year, until finally he felt he couldn’t take anymore. Walking to a drawbridge near his uncle’s home, Brendan stood on the edge. He was so ready to end everything, all the abandonment, the bullying, the pain and the sadness. But (almost too conveniently) just before he let himself fall forward, a cold, feminine hand grabbed his arm and yanked him back off the safety railing. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?!” Brendan didn’t say anything, simply sitting on the side of the road in a broken, dead silence. The stranger took him into the nearest hospital, who called his already frantic uncle. He never saw that stranger again. But he knew in his heart, she’d done more for him than anyone had. She’d shown him that someone truly cared in his world... That was almost a year ago.

His uncle was paying for his college fees, and also for him to see a psychiatrist. But as for paying for his living expenses, the free ride ended about a month ago. “Brendan.” He’d said “It’s time for you to move out, start living your own life. You can’t sit around here all the time, doing nothing. That’ll destroy you. I’ll still pay for you to see that shrink, and for your education, but you’ve got to move forward.” This came as a shock to the boy, but at the same time, it hadn’t been unexpected. So, his Uncle began to help him search for apartments. Then, while attending college he caught his big break, his group of new friends (they’d welcomed him when no one else would, after his “accident”) he was in had decided to move in together. It was a risky chance, but the boy took a leap of faith, hoping they’d accept him in this pact they were creating.

Appearance: Brendan is about 6’0, has light brown hair in the sunlight, but dark brown in the shade. The style can only be described as overgrown bowl cut, lengthy (nearly down to his shoulders), but in place around his head. His eyes are a deep cobalt blue, and they feel no shame in shedding tears. He is hunched over when he walks, and never ever stands up straight. He constantly has bags under his eyes (he prefers to stay up late, liking Night over Day). As far as smiles go, they are few and far in between. His complexion is less than appealing in his opinion, he has a mild case of acne and already has slight scarring from it on both cheekbones. Under that however, is a face some people would see as handsome. He is in the middle of “healthily thin” and “healthily overweight”.

An outsider wouldn’t call him fat, but he claims he’s “getting there”. He feels most comfortable in the house in tracksuits and a t-shirt (blue is his favourite colour in shirts). Outside, just replace the tracksuits with jeans, preferably black ones and if the occasion is special (and you can convince him to go) a suit jacket will go over the shirt he’s wearing. His shoes are simple sneakers.

Other: It is easy for Brendan to become “down” and depressed. In the event that this happens, he really doesn’t like to be alone. He loves the comfort of familiar people. It seems that his depression is on a clock, as the time around which it hits him hardest is usually later at night.

Still accepting? :3

Name: Delila Valencia

Age: 19

Gender: Female

Job: She doesn't have a job, per say, but she volunteers everywhere, doing odd jobs, charity work, and even helping strangers in the off-hand chance somebody might pay her. On top of that, there's always the possibility that somebody will discover her natural talent and whisk her away to become an actress/musician/designer, depending on her mood.

Personality: Full-hearted and passionate about everything. A full-blown drama queen, if ever there was one - everything has to be done to the limit, or not at all! She throws herself into things, be it jealousy, grief, or love. The true Italian temper shows through a lot here, but really, it's nothing much. Those for whom she cares about most won't suffer her worst wrath, however, for there is always an underlying fear of losing those whom she considers family.

Bright and bubbly when in conversation, she can be exhilarating or exhausting to talk to, depending on whether or not you agree with her view points, and of course, she loves a good argument. All the more reason to flash the dramatics! Occasionally, she can come out with some hilarities, but they are few and far between, and she prefers that people laugh at something she's said on purpose, not by accident. Her appearance and pride are the most important things to her besides family and friends - if somebody were to mock her, then her temper would flare, and an exuberant tantrum would be the result.

Despite her apparent shallowness, there is a deeper streak to Delila. She appreciates beauty in any form, be it natural, man-made, or even temporary. And, because she loves beauty, she strives to protect it. On days when she's not at school, she'll be campaigning for something, volunteering to clean up some place, or even just handing out fliers to people. This doesn't mean she's a hippy - she can't stand people with ugly hair - rather, it means that she does everything within her power to protect what she wants to.

And after that all, she may not be the brightest bulb in the pack, but she's definitely one of the most trusting and loyal. Break her fragile (and all too large) heart, though, and she'll try and break you, or will get her daddy to come and do it for her.

Quirks: She hates people who put their music on too loud! It is her one pet hate, which will get her extremely fired up should somebody refuse to turn it down. Because her taste in music is a little strange, people who play mainstream music loud get on her nerves as it is 'meaningless rubbish', to quote her exactly. Those who just don't care are a close second. Furthermore, people who consider themselves ugly, or have low self-esteems, are equally annoying, though she's willing to overlook the trait in her friends. Everyone is beautiful. People who actually are ugly, though, are even more disgusting to her.

Pet peevs include: mess, bad musicians, bedroom hair, toothpaste in the sink, hair in the plugholes, stubble at the bottom of the bath or shower, people using her toiletries, things that are generally too loud, fogged up mirrors, when the dishes aren't properly done. (Yeah, she's pretty easy to annoy)

Biography: The daughter of a retired mafia leader, James Valencia, and a fairly pretty barmaid, named Bonnie Crowe, Delila was given a pretty good start in life. Her parents had met several years before her birth, at a bar that Bonnie had been working at, when James came in and almost stole her heart. They courted for a few months before they became a little more serious, and five years later they were married.

Delila grew up an only child, but was never lonely thanks to her bubbliness and good looks. Popular with both her large family and anyone she met, she became out-going and flaunted her vocal talent whenever she could. Attention became like a drug to her - always needed, generally gained, each hit decreasing in intensity, until there's never enough. She developed her talents, partaking in contests to feed the urge, winning or losing not entirely the point at that stage in time.

As she grew up, however, it increasingly became her life - the contests, the pageants, the talent shows - and pushed most of her education out the way. By the time she was twelve, her mathematical skills were equal to those of a seven year old's, even if her mind was that of a premenstrual teenager. At fourteen, she began to get involved in the other part of the 'glam' life. It began with parties up till late, but quickly esculated out of control. At fifteen, she was smoking pot. At sixteen, she was drinking, and lost her virginity in a blurred portion of her life which she couldn't even remember much of. Her academical skills progressed little throughout this period.

During this time, her parents had not been entirely idle; rather, she had been ignorant of their advice. Her mother was despairing - the woman had always had an unhealthy addiction to morphine, and she began taking it more and more often as she watched her only daughter progress into a seedy life of parties, sex, drugs and alcohol. In fact, this was enough to bring her to overdose. When Delila stepped into the living room, her mother was lying there, dead, with a bottle of gin in one hand, and tablets in the other. Needless to say, it shocked her profoundly.

Bonnie's death was enough to bring Delila out of her habits. It was enough to bring about an almost instantaneous change as she morphed from thoughtless, hormonal teenager, to a slightly more respectful, quieter young adult. The change was enough that those who had been her party buddies condemned her for being a party pooper, and promptly proceeded to dump her in a most embarassing, tear-jerking manner. It was at this time that she discovered her other friends, the ones who didn't care if she didn't want to drink or take drugs any more. Living with her father, they were brought closer together by Bonnie's suicide, and although he's been urging her for some time to move out, they are still close.

Since her mother's death, she's been in private tuition to try and catch up on the many years she has lost, though secretly she feels she will never quite be as intelligent as her friends. Still, they love her for who she is, right?

Appearance: Delila is very much Italian by looks, though there are some memoirs of her mother in some places. Her skin is a smooth gold, freckled lightly from the sun, and tanned in some places more than others - her legs, stomach, arms and cheeks are the culprits here. Her face has no hints of any acne whatsoever upon it, although a few years ago, she'd had a rather disasterous outbreak; if one were to look closely at her cheeks, they might note the scars upon them.

Physically, Delila is rather gorgeous. About 5'7 in height, her body is voluptuous, her figure hour-glass shaped, bust and hips full. Perhaps there's a little extra on her stomach, but it seems to be disappearing quite well. Her face is lovely; the kind of exotic, intimidating beauty which mixes sensuous curves with feline angles. Her lips are full, dark pink in colour, plump and often smiling - behind them are two rows of perfectly white, in-line teeth (somebody obviously wore her retainer...) and more often than not, they have a glossy sheen which just further accentuates her favourite feature.

Her eyes are warm, honey brown, very articulate in that they show the things that she's hiding. Framed by heavy, even darker brown eyelashes, they are often the clue when she's lying.

Delila's hair falls to her jawline, in thick barrel-roll coils of dark chocolate hair, which is silky soft and often pristine in appearance. She prefers it at this length, where it looks good but is also not too heavy, as opposed to the time when her hair fell to her waist.

Clothes must both be comfortable, and look good. There can be no compromise. She won't wear stilletto heels, or cinch belts, because of it, though really she wears whatever takes her fancy. Normally, this is a pair of denim shorts, faded through salt spray from the sea, which fall half-way down her thighs, rugged at the edges, accompanied by a tank top of some description. If the weather is cold, she wears an over-sized sweat-shirt, which bares her shoulders and falls down to cover her upper thighs. Her favourite colours are warm neutrals, such as beige, cream, and sandstone. To accompany it, she wears warm greens, blacks, turquoises and dark browns. Accessories such as little belts and necklaces are often donned and discarded as necessary.

Other: She's been bulimic for three years now, but nobody knows about it - how long that will last will probably depend on how close she'll be to a bathroom. Funnily enough, Delila has retained the information about her mother's death, in case people use it against her, or have pity for her, which in her opinion is even worse. Not even her closest friends know. Keeping away from love, alcohol and parties in case something like before happens again, she appears to be on edge most of the time, and is evasive when people ask about her family.

Oh, and by the way, she still smokes weed.
My pen has scribed words you cannot imagine;
My fingers stained black with ink.
Try as you may
You never can tame
A girl with words in her soul.
