Drifting his eyes from the Behemoth to Lock he had started summoning up a large amount of power. He then called out for a beast to come to his aid. As if in answering his call the sky became pitch black as if night had come again. The short moment before the beast made noise Edward thought that the summoning might have failed.

A large gust of wind forced Edward to the ground letting him know that the summoning had definitely not failed. The sheer force of the wind had actually knocked his breath from his lungs causing him to take in sharp gasps of air. Returning to his feet Edward watched as the giant beast began to go on a rampage against the Behemoth. Despite how quickly the Behemoth had destroyed their team, it was having some trouble hitting the huge beast.

Contrary to the Behemoths failed attempts, it seemed like every attack the summoned beast made hit with either great force or at least damaging it to some extent. "Amazing, we could barely scratch it and yet this monster has almost decimated the Behemoth in only a minute or so. These beasts are to be feared to say the least," he said almost wondering why they were even trying to fight these beings to begin with. Fortunately Reia could see that he was in trouble and had tried to heal him. At least if they needed to fight again he would have a better chance than before.

Lock looked up, and in the pale light of his summoning, and all the thunder, he felt true fear. What had he done? Ziz was more fearsome now than he had even seen before? Had it Ziz only threaten the Earth Lord before? He had expected it to be a fair fight, and yet, now he saw it was never a fight to begone with, Ziz only played with the Behemoth. He took a swallow, his fear moving down his throat as he saw a light move around Nykrim, healing his wounds.

Lock knelt down, and moved a hand around his mouth and throat, then his chest. he was still breathing, and his heart was still pumping, but he had yet to wake up. Must have taken a lot out of him that magic just couldn't fix. he'd wake up in a while, even if he didn't, their was no point in saving his life just to leave him here. Standing back up, Lock looked around and hollered, "GROUP UP!" he had no idea if everyone be able to hear him over the fighting of the Elemental Lords, but, seeing as he couldn't see them, he had to try.

Cryth moved through the crumbling city quickly. The Elemental Lords had appeared, a worthy kill if he had ever seen one. He was once a member of Chaos' 'army' if it can be called that. In fact he was a member of the 'army' until only about four hours ago. He could still feel Chaos attempting to force his way into his mind.

He knew that the Elemental Lord of Earth was here, and that was who he was going after. Who better to test his claws on then a being who's defense should be high enough to ignore them. The sky had gone dark, a strange thing. His attention turned up and he saw the Elemental Lord of Air. Growling some he looked around. The Earth Lord was about to die, but too far for him to reach.

He cussed the Air Lord under his breath before looking around. He could just barely make out a number of figures. Turning he started toward the closest one. Cryth wasn't stupid; he knew that if he was going to take out an Elemental Lord he was going to need some help. Who better to ask for help then those who would probably recognize him as one of the things that slaughtered them before the Lords arrived?
Yea that logic wouldn't make much sense to others, but to a Vearn that was the most brilliant thing out there as fear is easier to control than most other things.

He heard Lock call to them and started running towards his voice. Along the way he stumbled a lot but managed to hold onto Jessicas arm. It was important that both of them reached Lock. He feared when the giant bird was done it would turn towards them. Surely if they got to Lock they could think of something. In the distance he seen something else moving. It seemed like it was another beast come to attack them. He pushed Jessica behind him as he prepared to fight the on coming threat.

Ziz unleashed a blood curdling cry, knowing it had won as it struck out with its great talons, aiming for the Behemoth's lower jaw. It would be a quick, and hopefully painful death for the Earth Lord.

[result=1d20]7[/result]

It was then that the green glyph that had formed in its coming came again, and before the Air Lord could refuse, or fight, it disappeared. At the same time, Lock was sent down to his knees, exhaustion starting to kill him. Having called a untamed beast, there was a price to pay.

The Griffion's claws just barely scrapped the Behemoth's face, glancing off at the last second before being forcible stolen away. And yet, by some miracle, the Behemoth still lived. Jaw notably unhinged from the rest of its head. The earth Lord moaned in pain, and fell over. Before, he had barely been left standing, now, it had no more strength. Even the pathetic humans he had so hated, might be able to kill him now. What a miserable way to go. Had trying to save his own people been such a wrong dead?

His mind was clearing upon death, Chaos' influencing was dissipating. Yes, what he had done was wrong. Neither side had been in the right. And his fellow Lords were still fighting a war that was losing on both sides. "Mercy...." His voice had sounded like two slabs of granite being ground on one another, yet his word was clear.

Cryth took note of the man who readied for a fight. The words 'smart human' passed through his mind, normally that would be the correct stance but not in this instance. A low growl deep in his throat escaped from Cryth, "You sure you want to try and fight me?" His voice growled, "It wont be smart."
From the direction of the Behemoth he could hear it request mercy. His mind racing with various thoughts from Chaos as he heard it, but he subdued them and turned so he could see both the man and the behemoth.

"You are an enemy therefore we I must fight you" He readied his sword for the on coming foe. He quickly glanced back at Jessicka. "Are you able to help me fight this creature off." He spat on the ground as the thing got closer. He twirled his sword as he rushed toward his new foe.

Things had become so strange. The gryphon was now gone. The behemoth was fallen. It had asked for mercy. Maybe this thing was just tormented? It seemed everyone had a dark side. Maybe reasoning with the lord of the earth would end his rampaging. He swallowed and set the little girl down. He wouldn't want her to be part of what was happening. He especially didn't want it if it decided to turn on him. "Little one, got to Lock and the others. I want to check this out," he ordered Reia. He turned and flew to face the behemoth. He stayed aloft to stay eye level with the behemoth.

Greetings, Lord of the Earth. I am Tor. I seek to speak with you, if you will allow it. I will also try to heal your injuries so that my allies do not seek to end your life," he offered. Without the behemoth's consent, Tor began the healing process. His hands started to glow blue and he set them on the behemoth's head. He concentrated all of his energies onto the behemoth as the spell took affect.

The bird disappeared and the sky returned. With it Reia could see that Lock was hurt on his knees and dying. Reia also heard the Earth Lord ask for mercy. Mercy would be fair.
She was placed on the ground and told to run toward Lock. She gave a nod and turned running toward the hurt Lock. As she ran toward him she noticed another had joined them, a large fuzzy beast thing, Tyrin charging it.

Reia gave a light growl as she threw a shield up at the beast thing. Even if it would miss the shields energies should catch their attention. So she started yelling at Tyrin. "There's no time for that Locky needs help. Hes not feeling well and you want to fight a large puppy...stop being so mean."

Cryth gave a sigh as the man started charging. Turning toward him Cryth dropped lower and brought his claws down to his side and readied, this mans blood would heal him. He doubted the man understood his foe, few humans do.
"Enemy?" He growled, "So do your enemies often let you get the first strike?" He gave a laugh before pausing when a strange bolt went by him, he knew it well, it was a shield. He had seen it used many times before, but never toward him.

His attention turned toward the caster and saw a little girl running toward a downed man. The girl called him a 'puppy' Was that supposed to be something? His mind slowly connected the image of a small dog he had seen when he first arrived, a girl then had called it the same. Though she didn't call him one. An odd thing to call him, he was not as small as that dog, perhaps it was the fur. Perhaps they simply had nothing close enough to his race to name him.

His attention turned toward the man who had charged him, then started turning toward the man who the girl was running toward, "You should listen to the whelp, it would seem another of your...no not of your kind." Odd the injured man was not a human, looked human, but wasn't.

Jessika looked on when a beast looking creature stood before them. Tyrin had let go on her. She gripped her blades tightly. This didn't seem like a time to fight. She still wasn't fully healed and it didn't seem like she would get better anytime soon. Most likely, she'd be useless. It was a good strategy for her to hang back and attack if Tyrin was weakening or if someone healed her.

Reia ran up and began yelling too. Jessika couldn't help but agree with her. Tyrin always seemed to want to rush into these battles. Sure, he's strong but he likes picking fights, she thought to herself. She wasn't good backup but with the small girl here, she could pose as some help. Jessika took a few steps closer to the impending fight. She felt she had to help even a little if it came to it.

He stopped cold as he saw the bolt fly at the man. It did not seem like an attack. It seemed more like a shielding spell. But why would Reia try and shield an enemy. He looked at his blade a thrust it in the ground. He turned his head and looked at Jessicka. He motioned for her to stay where she was. He slowly walked towards the creature. He had his hands up in a way to show that he was not going to attack. "If you are not my enemy then why are you here? Are you like the other three fighting on our side against Chaos?" He wanted answers and if worse came to worse he could still use his fists to defend him self. The creature had said he wasn't an enemy and strangely enough he believed him.

It was quite obvious that the demon of air that Lock had summoned had won the fight against the Earth Lord. Now Lock laid exhausted and the Earth Lord laid dying. Gripping the hilt of his sword lightly Edward figured he should at least be on guard in case the Behemoth decided to change his mind and attack them again.

Taking a few steps forward Edward watched as Tor attempted to heal the beast. While Tor could probably tear apart many of his allies and enemies it didn't seem like he was the best healer around. Snickering quietly Edward said, "You might let little Reia here do the healing, she might have better luck." With that Edward cast a glance of approval to the little girl who had healed him as well.

Turning back to the defeated Behemoth Edward wondered if he would agree to being part of their team. Not physically with them all the time but to be summoned like Lock had done with Ziz. Edward knew that he wouldn't be able to control the beast himself but maybe if someone else had learned how to summon him they could do it.

Lock could just look up. The Earth Lord was still alive? Why hadn't they killed him? His mind was hazy, but then he realized it, his mind must have come back to him. That, was beyond good. Then his ears started to ear something, fighting, still? He did his best to look at the source. His eyes went wide. That, would be their luck, wouldn't it. One of Chaos' own personal minions, a natural born killer, from body, to mind. Why was Tyrin still alive? He should be dead already. Lock took a deep breath, and sighed. He could move his fingers, but that was about it. Had Ziz really costed him that much? Of course it had, he'd be stupid to think other wise.

The Behemoth's eye righted itself to Tor, examining him. The halve dragon that could fly. Interesting. Yet, there was a deep seeded darkness in him. Chaos... The great eye blinked, when the mans magic failed. Was the caster to weak? Or he simple to large? "Thank you.... but... it seems my wounds are to great." What looked like dark brown water poured from his mouth, wetting his voice, smoothing it in a way. His time was running out. He they couldn't heal him, then they could kill him. But, before he'd ask them of that, he had to know something, "Answer, me this.... all of you... why do you fight? When you, are so pathetically weak?" It should have sounded like an insult, but instead, it came out like an old man stating plain truth. They had been no match against him, the current weakest of the Lord, and they had at least seven to go. Only three of which they would know of.

The man stopped, plunged his sword into the ground, then started toward him with hands up. The man was finally going to try not picking a fight with him, smart.
Kill tear his heart out, rip him to shreds.

The man asked him a very funny question, so funny that Cryth actually started laughing, gripping his sides as he did so. "Oh that's just good human. Am I here to help you fight Chaos." Cryth slowly stopped laughing and turned toward the behemoth, the behemoth asked a question, it was to everyone, and Cryth decided to answer two questions at once. "I'm here to test my skills against things like that, like you. The Elemental Lords themselves. Though you are weakened so there would be nothing to test."
Kill, maim, set on fire.

The thoughts were hidden behind his subconscious, and were still quiet, like whispers, so it was simple to ignore it. Always simple to ignore, until it started screaming at him, then it became harder and harder to ignore.

Smiling a bit, the beast was still quite the character. Clearing his throat a bit Edward called out, "I fight to survive until tomorrow and find the one I love. I may be weak but my resolve is strong!" It was as simple as that, Edward couldn't say anything more.

Crouching down Edward was still fatigued from the fight despite how little he had done. As he rested he was sure that the others would give their reason for fighting and hopefully, one of them would win his favor. Whether that was him though didn't matter to Edward.

Reia smiled as Tyrin stopped being mean and simply spoke to the puppy-man. "See was that so hard to be nice?" She said happily, she heard Edward say she should heal the behemoth but instead she went for Lock. "I would but Locky is injured." She said as she ran toward Lock again.
As she arrived she quickly slowed to a skidding halt. "Are you okay Locky?" Reia asked weakly, worried, yet strangely her voice still held joy, happiness. "Don't die we have a puppy-man now. He just wandered in here, and I wanna keep him. Ill feed him every day, he can walk himself though."

Before Lock could say anything the Behemoth spoke, asking why they fight. Reia smiled as she turned and yelled, "I fight because its fun, and I can make people happy by healing them. I know I'm weak right now but I will get stronger, and thus better." Reia gave a light giggle before adding, "I can heal everyone then mister giant rock, then everyone will be happy and playing games again."

Jessika looked up at the Behemoth. It asked a decent question. It was certainly something she asked herself at times. She always remembered why though. She wanted to live her own life. It was a terrible life for her to live but there wasn't much of a choice anymore. Only her sheer determination and the thought of her loved ones kept her going.

She stood her ground. Tyrin and the dog/wolf creature had stopped their oncoming fight to look up at the Behemoth. The creature already answered. Reia had run off. Before Tyrin got to answer, Jessika shouted, "For my dead loved ones and for myself. I wish to live on in their place and make them proud wherever they are." In her mind, it was an answer that wouldn't please a creature who didn't feel things like she did but it was the truth. It was the only truth she knew of these days.

Lock pushed himself up, looking down at the man still on the ground. That worried him. He then gave Reia a small smile, and nodded. He felt terrible, of course. Him standing was currently pure will power, and determination. Not to mention agonising pain, but, it seemed to only be his muscles, nothing was wrong with his bones, or anything else, that he could tell, at least. That was good at least. He took a deep breath, and unholy pain filled his lungs, like he had breathed in pure fire. He held face, Reia could heal him later. For now though, he had to understand what was happening. Ignoring the.... giant puppy, as Reia so eloquently put it, he looked up tot he Behemoth, and stepped forward so he wouldn't yell in Reia's ears, "For Order, to kill Chaos, and correct the natural balance of our worlds. As is my duty as a Sky Lord." Maybe it was a bit dutiful, but, it was the truth, and what his dreams and resolve rounded. To be back home, with order and peace reigning again.

Tor was pained to see his spell failr. He really was a rather weak spell caster. He sighed and bowed to the Earth Lord. "My apologies. It seems I have not the magical strength to heal you," he said and he hung his head. The behemoth's question snatched his attention, however. Why did he fight? All of them were being asked this. The others gave their answer, and the behemoth seemed to like some of them, however, like Lock, there was those who he didn't accept. Tor thought about the question and looked back to the Earth Lord's enourmous eye. "I know we are weak. I myself am weak, as much as I hate to admit it. Chaos has thrown the world into the apocolypse and some one must stop him. We may be weak now, but if we continue working together, then we may be able to face him and beat him. Until then, I have made it my own duty to protect those that are even weaker than me. We have a small child in our group. I want to help these people reclaim their world. That is why I fight," Tor explained. It was as truthful as the behemoth was large. Even if this mighty creature did not accept his answer, Tor was still satisfied with it.

The Behemoth tried to nod his head in both appreciation, and acknowledgement. Many of them, had solid reason to fight, and the resolve to carry on. The young man before him the most though. His heart was pure, and good. Even if tainted, he could preserve threw, and come out pure. The Air Lord, there was no trust, or sympathy. That man would have slit his throat, had he the strength. They would all have many trails to face, the other Eight Lords the least of them, "I except your resolve. Take my power and use it well." The Behemoth sighed heavily, the ground shaking from the force as he started to lift one of his gargantuan paws, and touch Tor on the forehead, what should have killed him, touch with surprising gentleness, "May the Earth bless you." At that, the Behemoth closed its eyes, and its paw fell, shaking the ground yet once again. His dieing thoughts were not pleasant though. His blessings had not been soon enough, as he could feel something returned to Earth being corrupted by Chaos. Their trials, were truly just beginning.

Yet, not all was bad. The group would soon find a new power running threw their veins, healing their wound, and reenergizing their bodies. Some of them would even find the presents of Lord of Earth at their side.
