Gods and Goddesses alike, it is my pleasure to announce that you all will be taking a wonderful vacation down to Earth. Now, don't applaud too loudly or you'll create a thunderstorm. Yes, my children: I, Zeus, have decided to give you an intervention. You either shape up and realize though you're gods you are still human, or you're stuck for eternity on Earth- or until you go mad! Farewell my children and have fun.

Rating
This is rated PG-13 for mature content, language, mild violence, mild sexual content, and drug references

Story/Plot
The greek gods in all their mighty glory have grown too comfortable in their kingdom in the skies and apathetic to the world below. As a way to cure this, Zeus has decided to send them all to Earth to live as humans, though they still maintain their powers but just in a lower dose than before. It is the current year of 2010 and they are stuck in modern civilization until Zeus believes they've finally learned the ways of life again.

Setting
The year is 2010
The Gods have been dropped off at one of the oddest sights most of them will ever see: New York City. It's buzzing with human life and everything else civilization has to offer, including crime, romance, traffic jams, rude people, and pollution.

Artemis

Atemis was stunned, but she expected this punishment. The others had forgotten what it was like. She sighed as she fell to the world in a city. New York City. Of course I would go somewhere with no animals or anything.

She was tempted to wander off from the others and not go into the city. She wanted to go the other direction, towards the woods off in the distance. She had no desire to be around the others, but she would if she had to.

Athena
Location: Time Square

Usually, Athena was one of the more levelheaded of the greek gods but today she had reached her utmost limit. To be casted away to the human world? What type of horrible punishment was that? There was a shift in the atmosphere as Zeus dropped them down to the world below. When Athena opened her eyes, she immediately wanted to close them again and hope it was all just a terrible dream. It seemed her father had put them in the middle of a zoo. Before her stood tall buildings of steel and glass that reached up into the clouds. All around her was the loud chattering of humans and sounds of unknown technology. There were- what were they called? Oh right. There were cars zooming down the streets. She glanced down at where she was standing. There was some odd heat rising to her legs. Steam was rising from the ground as if some demonic creature was breathing fire underneath it!

Athena hopped to the side in disgust and it was then that she realized she was no longer wearing her armour. Upon her body were the oddest things she'd seen apart from her surroundings. She was drapped in a cotton T-shirt and washed out jeans. Athena blended in well with the rest of the New York City cluster with this apparel but instantly, she wanted to tear it off. Instead, she turned her attention to the people who were contantly bumping into her shoulders and sides. Did no one have any curtesy anymore? She sighed and walked with the cluster, hoping maybe something good would happen here.

Artemis

Artemis sighed and headed for the city. She could hear all the unnatural noise and it bothered her. Why here, to the most unnatural place in the world? and why me too, he knows I hate this civilization crap. She was starting to get a headache from all the noise.

Artemis stopped, wondering if she looked human. She looked down and saw that she was wearing a green shirt and jeans. She reached up and found that she had a headbacnd across her forehead, holding back her hair.

As she got closer to the city, her headache got worse. "Liove you too dad." she said sarcastically, looking up. She was upset more about the location then being sent to the human world. She had been curious for years about what it would be like to live down here.

There were people talking into cellphones everywhere Athena went and she sighed, not sure whether to cause the phones to go dead and do the world some good. Of course, she couldn't just do that, not in the open; it would be too suspicious. Her wisdom hummed within her and told her this was certainly not what her father had meant by being human. To be human meant something more and to love life went hand in hand with that. What was he thinking by putting them in one of the largest inhumane places? Hardly anyone here knew what it truly meant to be human. All they knew of was how to press speed dial and somehow make it to work without being late in this kind of traffic. There was no natural expressions of happiness, just prosthetic smiles and faces that were unsure of what life truly was about.

Athena didn't know exactly what Zeus had meant when he'd told her to "finally find joy in life" by being here. She was perfectly in sync with herself and still knew what it was to be alive. If it had to do with giving up her independence, she was having none of that. This life was hers to live and any man who decided it was their 'job' to help her live it was sorely mistakened.

She wandered around and scanned the area for her fellow siblings and gods. Where they all dropped off here or in different places? Oh, please don't let her be the only one in this maze!

Falling from grace, Apollo had a smile on his face as he came closer to the ground “finally sent from the heavens to the land of imperfect beings. Nothing is more beautiful then to know you are greater then those around you” Apollo looked at humans as paintings that needed to be fixed. Landing in New York, he opened his eyes to be in an ally “now to begin working on the canvas that was bestowed upon me” Apollo stood up and looked around, seeing dogs in trash cans, dead rats, and even poor people sleeping.

Brushing himself off he walked out the ally only to hear the noise get louder. Cars all around with people in a rush an able to enjoy the life they were given. Knowing that New York is considered the art capitol by some, Apollo would see for himself. But first he wishes to walk around and look for the other gods that were banished from heavens. He started to walk hoping to run into someone he knew “it’s going to be difficult to find anyone in all of this. Sadly I can’t fly or even use my light to signal for the others”.

Apollo wasn’t a stranger to this way of life he always kept up with the current events and how the people were changing. Knowing when to cross the street and when not to. Still though he remained in awe of how the building are reaching the sky when so long ago such a thing wouldn’t be possible “humans have came along way, I’m more then impressed. But the hearts of them remain the same”. While walking he started to think that his fellow gods weren’t going to look the same. So he walked over to the nearest newspaper stand and asked the man for a piece of cardboard and a marker so he could write on it. He started to right and on it said Apollo in bold faced print. He handed back the marker as he started walking around holding the sign on his head so his fellow people could see and find him.

Artemis

Artemis started running. She needed movement, and running was the best option. She ran into the city and was forced to slow down, but she continued moving quickly through the crowd.

As she was moving, she ran into a boy holding a sign, and she knocked him over, landing on top of him. The sign landed face down a few feet away. "Ohh, I'm so soory, I wasn't paying attention." Artemis was shocked that she run into someone.

She went over and picked up the sign and saw what it said. "Apollo, is that you?" she asked, surprised that there was another here in New York.

Without her armor, Athena felt naked and uncomfortable with how flexible her clothes were. It was strange to be wearing human clothing; cotton instead of metal plates, jeans instead of her tough, war-ready pants. She didn't want to look like a freak by wearing her usual gettup but this was strange.

She sighed and pulled her hair up into a ponytail, the heat in New York getting to her skin. Usually, she was untouched by temperature but today everything was upside down. Athena set out to find others, hoping she wasn't alone when she spotted the tip of a sign among the swarm of people. Well, it was better than nothing.

Athena tried to reach the person and was shoved and smushed in the process of doing so. "Ugh, let me through," she grumbled as finally the sign came into better view. Apollo, it read. Oh, thank god. As she arrived, Athena practically tripped over the both of them since they were on the floor.

"Well, that wouldn't have ended well," she said as she regained her posture.

Apollo was kind of in a daze after a girl ran into him; he was having trouble focusing his eyes. He shook his head and came out of the daze as the girl asked him if he was Apollo “he focused his eyes and looked at her. Noticing the way she acted he could tell it was Artemis “well it’s so good to see you Lady Artemis” as he was speaking another girl came to them. He looked behind himself and wasn’t sure who it was “so pretty lady may I ask what your name would be?” he knew it was a goddess unless it was a man that got cursed to a women’s body.

Standing up Apollo started to brush himself off, he leaned back in order to crack his back “well it’s a glorious day when I run into two ladies, one that knocks me off my feet and one that makes me ask questions” he started to chuckle. He went to brush his hair out of his face but he noticed he lost on of the rings that was on his finger “hmmm wonder where my ring went?” he started looking around himself hoping to find it.

Demeter sighed. Was Zeus out of his mind? Putting them all down here. What about her children? Persephone, what about when she came home? Without her Demeter simply could not, WOULD NOT change the seasons. That would show him. Let the big man watch his people suffer in an endless winter.summer. Then he'd learn.

Demeter sighed again. She had to find the others. There was no plant life here, no crops, she felt completely out of place. That was it. If she couldn't find the others, she let them find her. She went into a neardy market and began looking around. Soon she found wheat. She baught a shaft of it and shuck it in her hair like a garnish.

As she walked through the streets Demeter's hope began to dwindle. People pushed and shoved through the crowds. One woman even had the gull to call ignorant names at Demeter just for being slower then the woman preferred. She shook her head. This world really was sinking into an era of pain and stupidity. All self inflicted. Not far off she spotted a few kids. One held a sign, before he was knocked over by a young girl. Then there was a third who seemed to be helping them up.

"You looking for this?" Artemis asked. She was holding the ring in her hand and smiling at Apollo. She found it funny how he acted like it was lost, seeing as she was always taking on from him.

Artemis handed it back to him, laughing a bit. The sign was still in her hand, but she almost forgot that she had it. "You want this back too?" she asked almost sarcastically. She was playing with him, just like they always did.

"Hey Athena, you look different and extremely out of place. I'd say it was only the armor, but theres more to that, am I right?" Artemis smile, laughing again. She was a bit giddy when she noticed another, close by.

"Demeter, is that you?" she called behind her, to the new comer. Artemis was always good at catching things others never noticed. It was from her hunting and animals.

Athena scowled at Apollo. Did he always have to be so shallow when it came to women? She'd long ago grown immune to his 'swooning' ways. She shook her head and glanced around, they were making somewhat of a scene gathered together and yet barely anyone noticed. Would they even care if they had arrived in all their god and goddess attire? She scoffed to think of their reactions. Maybe they'd toss her a coin for the theatric allure.

"It's Athena, you hog now get off the floor before you get some sort of disease," she joked. Athena was amused by the games Apollo an Artemis seemed infatuated with playing, though it wasn't shocking seeing as they were both twins. They did practically everything together and in the heavens, there had been rumors they'd even been intimate. Well, that wouldn't be much of a surprise by the way Apollo acted blind to anything but the certain regions of the female body.

"It's my lack of armor that is starting to make me feel ill at ease," Athena confessed as she tugged at her cotton tank top. It was blue and floppy and odd for her. She wanted the comfort of her battle armor, and she wanted it now. Well, then again, she couldn't well have a tantrum over it now could she? She'd just try to find a suitable store that had clothing much more her... style.

((She doesn't have armor on.... She's complaining about how uncomfortable she is without it :P ))

Location: Central Park

The wind swirled a odd assortment of litter, leaves, and smog suddenly in the far end of Central Park. As quickly as it came, it was gone again. In it's place stood a man of unknown origin and age. He seemed angry and his muscles tensed as he looked around.

Ares cursed Zeus for putting him on this godforsaken good-for-nothing island. He heard chanting and instinctively reached for his sword. To his surprise, he felt an odd cloth under his hand. "What?! Where is my armor?" He looked down at himself. "What is this?!" He tugged on the shirt and cargo pants that seemed to materialize on his body.

The chanting continued and he looked for where the sound was coming from. As he stepped forward, he saw a group of people with what seemed like logs of wood, stripped of their bark, holding parchment. Ares strained his eyes to read one. "END THE WAR! THE IS NO GLORY IN A UNHOLY BATTLE!" The sign read in deep red which seemed like blood.

Ares walked over and looked at the humans. He stepped forward and stood directly in front of them. "War?! You call what you humans are doing war?! There is no passion! No belief! War built the world!" He yelled at them, his face turning red. The protesters obviously didn't approve of his sudden outburst and in retaliation they yelled insults and profanities at him.

Ares scoffed and kicked dirt and stones in their direction before walking off in a different direction. "Curse these humans! They have no passion for anything! Damn you Zeus! What have I done to deserve this torture?!" He growled and walked over to what appeared to him as a man-made geyser.

Aphrodite appeared in the middle of the street, she reached down to straighten her gown, only to notice that she was wearing street clothes. She was pissed, send her to earth fine, punish her for being intimate with Ares fine. But put her in common clothing? She was the goddess of love and beauty for crying out loud. She looked around hoping to see the others, she looked down the street and saw on odd grouping of people. One of them had a sign. She strained her eyes "Apollo" it read.

"Of course he would be the only one smart enough to let everyone know where he was." Aphrodite headed towards the group, hoping they would recognize her, even though she was dressed as a commoner.

"Hey! Guys!" She yelled trying to get their attention with out making a scene.
With just a look they shook
And heavens bowed before him.

Apollo looked over at Artemis with a smile and grabbed his ring "thanks i thought i lost it" looking back at Athena he kept a smile on his face "now now no need for such words only being nice now". Apollo still messing around with the rings on his hand; he heard someone off in the distance. He looked and noticed a girl waving "hmm now i wonder who that is?" not sure Apollo waved back just because it was a girl. As he was doing that Artemis was screaming out a name and he heard what she said "wait!?! Demeter is here too?" Apollo could only smile at the fact he was around nothing but girls.

Apollo walked over to Athena and put his arm around her "so tell me love what is the plan? seems father is angry with all of us" knowing that Athena isn't a fan of how he is pulling off before Athena got mad. Apollo also wants to find the other gods but at the sametime he wants to go on his own and wonder around. He looked back at the girl that was walking there way he also knew it was a goddess but not sure who it was. "Artemis who is this lady?"

Athena gave a sideways look at Apollo that she was not amused. It wasn't an unknown fact that Apollo didn't do things just to be 'nice'. Out of the corner of Athena's eye she spotted a store with leather jackets. She raised an eyebrow. Now, that seemed much more durable than the junk she had on. She fiddled inside her pocket and tried to guess how much money she had in there. Thank Zeus, he'd dropped them with some kind of backup. There was at least one hundred dollars inside her pocket. Hopefully, that would be enough for a change of clothes.

Her eyebrows still raised, Athena glanced over at where Artemis had turned her attention. Demeter? Well, it was good to know that most of them were being put here. Maybe they'd all end up in the same place. Now, that was both a good and bad thing. Too many gods, too many personality differences... Like a boomerang, Athena's head turned at the sound of yet another voice. She spotted a female walking up to them. Now, who could she be? It was hard to tell when all their appearances had been shifted. Zeus just loved playing tricks.

"If you do not get your arm off of me," Athena said with a sigh as she went to shove Apollo off. She was relieved when he did remove himself from her. She was a peaceful god but she had her limits. The one man who had looked upon her naked, she had blinded though out of sympathy she'd given him the 'hidden sight' of wisedom. She was willing to do the same thing to any other man who tried her. "I have no idea what the plan is other than to find a place for all of us to rest and gather our wits. I'm sure he's left money with all of us but no other guide. Perhaps we'll need to get jobs," Athena decided, frowning slightly. Her father surely was punishing them.

Aphrodite ran up to the group, knowing for sure that it was Apollo and the other goddesses. She stopped in front of them trying to put a name to the new faces of each of the goddesses. "Apollo, do you not recognize me?" She spun around hoping something had stayed the same about her appearance when Zeus had sent them down to this stupid planet.

How dare that blasted man send her down to this filthy place. Why not Florida, where at least she would be able to breath the sea air.

Ares searched around, looking for a map. He walked among the people along 59th street. A vendor had free maps laying under a rock and he stopped to look. After he read the map a few times, he saw that it was only sixteen blocks to the south. He tucked the map into his back pocket and walked away.

The map was hard to navigate amongst the crowd, so he occasionally ducked into an alley or a shop to check his heading. After being sure he was close, he searched the buildings. The large sign advertising Times Square came into view.

A group of people came into view. He wanted to ask questions and find out where he could find his fellow Gods and Goddess's. "Hey!" He yelled. Waving to get their attention. "Have you seen any people who just kind of...uh..materialized?" He wanted to find a way to locate everyone. "I'm kinda looking for some friends of mine."

Ares scratched the back of his head as he walked closer to the group. He hated the clothes he was in and couldn't wait to figure out his purpose here.

Athena grinned. Aha, so they were all here. Well, at least most of them were. It was safe to assume that Zeus had made this their destination to serve their punishment. Well, that would definitely be interesting. She'd have to make sure to keep things as calm as possible between everyone. She was trying to figure out who exactly the newcomer was when she realized a certain 'aspect' about her. She was very curvy. "Aphrodite?" Athena guessed as she watched the girl twirl around.

It had to be. It seemed Zeus had at least left some characteristics of their former selves in the human form, just to make it somewhat easier to find one another. Athena herself was left with her wise eyes, but that was about it. Why was she dainty? And with short hair? That bothered her. In her goddess form, she was much more durable and strong. Well, now she'd have to rely on her wisedom to keep her sane.

A male voice reached the group and Athena looked towards it, amused. It was obvious this man was looking for them, though he didn't really know who 'they' were. She shook her head, trying to figure out who he was. Well, he was quite tough looking and his clothes were raggedy. As well, he had a tattoo... "Would you by any chance be Ares?" Athena asked, hoping she wasn't making too much of a fool of herself though she kept pride in her knowledge. She was most likely spot on with her guess.

Apollo slowly lost the smile on his face, scratching his head trying to find out who this girl was "I know your a goddess but i can't begin to guess who you are" trying to think of another goddess but nothing came to mind. Looking up into the sky, trying to think of who she was he heard a man call out. He looked straight ahead and seen a man "I know such a face let alone poster" with a grin he walked over and greeted the guy "so Ares how goes your day?" Not bothering putting his hand out he started to walk around him "so brother even you made father angry? But of course! you are always the one to pull hair from his head only to think nothing would happen" speaking in a jokingly manner.

Not being able to help himself he likes to joke around with the other gods to the point of making them angry. "so tell me where did you wake up? i hope it was more tolerable then where father dropped me. Next to a bunch of intolerable humans" Finally not walking around him he stopped and pointed at the others "everyone over there? those are the goddesses, i'd say a most splendid sight if they weren't all my sisters" starting to laugh but figuring he was starting to bother Ares.

"At least someone recognizes me." Aphrodite pouted when it wasn't Apollo who realized it was her first. "So who all is here?" She asked. "I'm going to assume you are Athena, there is just something about your eyes that is forcing me to believe so." She smiled, knowing she was right.

She started running her fingers through her hair. Complaining to herself about missing the beautiful blond color. "I can't believe he did this to us!" She said, with a whiny tone to her voice.

Ares hadn't expected anyone to say his name, he was slightly taken aback. "Yeah, it's me!" He yelled as he got closer. It was obvious a female had yelled his name, but he wasn't sure which one it was until he got really close to them.

He looked the girl up and down, but it wasn't until his eyes met hers that he finally realized who it was. "Athena?" He laughed. "Well aren't you....puny." A wicked smile crawled across his face. "So much for my fellow warrior, eh?" He lightly pushed her shoulder.

Ares looked around at the group and he started realizing who everyone was. "Look who it is, Apollo and Artemis. Big surprise you two would be around each other. Oh, and of course the always beautiful Aphrodite." He listened to Apollo's pick at him.

"And yes, so it seems I have. I arrived in a park, a man-made wilderness. Where people are protesting war. Protesting! Can you believe it?! What a pity." He said boldly with a slight hint of anger in his voice.

Athena nodded, smiling in amusement at Aphrodite's complaint. Ah, yes, she must be pissed about the change in appearance, as she was as well. It was a pain not being her normal self. It was cruel what Zeus had done. Especially so when Ares decided to poke at her very different size. She rolled her eyes, rubbing at where he'd pushed her. Ow? Now, that was something she wasn't used to. This body was definitely going to be quite annoying.

"I will find a way to make this body work, Ares, just you wait. I'll be getting you back for that when I'm sure my knuckles won't break," Athena replied with a playful grin. Though, if she were to lift a weight would it do anything more than make her drop like a rock? Ugh, she was going to let Zeus have it whenever they did get back home.

Athena scoffed at Ares observation of the petty humans. To think they'd be in this rediculous war to begin with was something she couldn't fathom. "You know, I'm not surprised at all to hear that. They should stop that stupid war before they embarass themselves any further. They barely even fight man to man! Have you heard about how they're using remote controlled planes to fight their enemy? I can't think of anything less respectable in the name of war," she practically growled, crossing her arms. It was a comical sight from any observers. This tiny thing was steaming and crossing her arms as if having a tantrum! Was Zeus trying to make her go crazy? Athena wanted her body back so badly...

Demeter sighed as she was reconized. She stepped up to the group but kept queit mostly. She nodded as a greeting and watched as soon the group grew. First Aphodite appeared in her oh-so-humble of ways. Ares soon followed which, between the two of them, should make thins quite interesting, especially since Hephestus, Aphrodite's husband, and Ares's brother, had yet to appear. Also, to her own relief, Posiden and Hades had yet to show their faces.

She sighed as the younger of the group began to joke and play. "Look before we start to relax at all we need to find a place to stay. I've noticed we still have our powers. Not full force but they are there. WE can materialize what these people use as money and in that sense we simply have to choose a new home. From there Aphrodite then you and who ever else is disatisfide with your attire can go shopping. Sound like a plan?" Demeter usually was the kind to sit back but being as none of her brothers or sisters were here, the elder gods, she had to add in a bit of calm into this restless sea of games and hormones.

Aphrodite looked at Demeter as she spoke. "Sounds like a plan." She looked around, "Where exactly did you have in mind?"

She leaned on Ares, it was no secret that they were intimate behind her husbands back. She smiled up at him waiting for someone to answer her question. The sooner they found some where to live, the better. She needed to get out of the common clothes, their humorous father had put her in.
