![]() Leena stared out the window of her new dorm room, looking out into the distance at the ocean a few miles away. She had requested a room with an ocean view. Though the ocean was only a speck in the distance, she could still see it; it still made her room feel a bit more like home. Reluctantly, she moved away from the window and over to her suitcase which rested on her bed. She had to unpack all of her human clothes. Clothes. She still found them to be an amusing oddity of human life. Ever since she started living among humans full time, last year, she had had to wear them. It took some getting used to, but she rather enjoyed being fashionable now. With delicate fingers, she began to unpack everything that she had packed up the year before hand. She needed none of these things when she went back home. Leena would simply slip on her sealskin and swim back to her family. But now that she was at school again, she had to pretend to be human. She had only been back in her human form for a few hours now and she was still getting back into the feel of having fingers and other such appendages. Humans were such odd creatures; she much preferred her seal form and the ocean to her human form and the land. Once she had finished unpacking she picked up the seal pelt that she had carefully placed upon her bed. Leena never let it out of her sight, not after what had happened to her mother. A vile human man had stolen her mother's pelt and now he keeps her hostage away from the sea and her true family. Leena would find her someday and free her, but for now, she had to stay at Hidden Hills and be schooled in her gift. She carefully wrapped the skin around her neck, attempting to make it look like a fashion statement, then she left her room. Classes wouldn't start until tomorrow, but until then, she did need something to eat. It would be nice to reconnect with the few friends she had as well. The few people she actually may trust, though trust is an odd word for such a cautious Selkie. No one but the Headmaster himself knew what she really was. And despite these friends that she had learned to love, she meant to keep it that way. |

![]() "Good bye Dad," Aki voiced to her father, through the realm of the dead, "Tell Mom that I love her and that I'll be okay. See you guys Winter break!" And with that, Aki was free of them. Finally, she was on her own in this great wide world and she could do what she wanted. Well, sort of. She still had to go to school. Hidden Hills School For The Gifted, a place she had dreamed of since she was a little girl. Her parents had told her all about the place and how much it had helped them learn their individual powers. It excited her beyond belief that now she could go. With a small giggle of excitement, Aki skipped down the halls of the school, suitcase in tow. Freshman year, it was so thrilling. Her own dorm room, an added exhilaration. New friends, a wonderful new pleasure. This place was just so full of wonders Aki could barely contain herself. At every corner, her vision shifted, the spirits in this place were so numerous it was almost a graveyard. But she knew it was not a place of death, it was merely a place of curiosity for any supernatural being. She wished to talk to the spirits, but she knew she should get to her dorm from first and maybe even meet her new roommate. Another giggle escaped her lips at the thought of a roommate. Aki was an only child and her parents had smothered her with affection. They didn't let her out of their site because it was chance enough that they had this one precious daughter, they knew the chance wouldn't come by again. So new people and a little independence were new things for Aki. Maybe she would meet another person like her. Maybe another vampire or a demon like her parents. She had met no others like her parents because her parents had been exiled. Others of her kind made her excited too. Well, everything seemed to get Aki excited now. |

Junior... Nika tested the word again, but it still didn't feel quite right. She had gotten so used to calling herself a sophomore, but yet here she was, more than halfway through her education here. Grabbing her suitcase, she walked through the campus, once again dazzled by the extraordinary school that she had been attending. Hidden Hills certainly lived up to its reputation as an incredible academy for "gifted" students. As she walked, she couldn't help but wonder what sorts of people she would meet this year. Already, she took note of one very excited freshman girl skipping down the hall, her suitcase in tow. A corner her lips curled into a smile. She remembered how excited she had been herself when she had first arrived here, absolutely amazed by the beautiful school, and by the fact that she had been invited to it. Her thoughts returned to the present when she came up to room 102, which was her dorm. Opening the door, she took in the sight of a clean room, almost like a hotel. It appeared that she was the first to arrive, which meant that she got to claim her half of the dorm. She looked over her shoulder to her bags, a small duffel bag tied to a larger suitcase which she had been dragging along. Rolling them up to the bed to the far left, she tossed the suitcase onto it, and began unpacking. |

Kastiel could see the school growing larger and larger on the horizon. He had a perfect bird's eye view of it, literally, as he flew through the blue sky in the form of a seagull he had mimicked upon leaving his summer home. There was just something exhilerating about flying, that's why Kaz never drove anywhere. Luckily Hidden Hills allowed him to keep his things in room 304 over the summer. Bringing all that luggage back and forth was just a pain. So Kastiel continued to fly unhindered to the school. He delighted in the thought of seeing how all his old students had grown over the months. He delighted even more so in having a batch of new students to teach. His mind wandered for a while until he hit a strong gust of wind that knocked him back a ways. He peered around again and was surprised that he had covered so much distance in what seemed like such a short time. With one quick tilt of his wings he had begun his descent to the school grounds. It wasn't long before Kastiel was hovering just above the school. He tilted to the left and started to circle around it in a downward spiral until he was close enough to safely land. Kastiel quickly outstreched his skinny avian feet and touched down not far from the front door of Hidden Hills. After his perfect landing he raised his beak in the air and let out a loud, "CAW!" With a few flaps of his wings Kastiel had started the process of changing back to his true form. He wasn't one to hide his power, or take it for granted. Within a few seconds the bird that was sitting in the grass before had been replaced by a dark-haired man in jeans and a white button-up dress shirt. Kastiel figured he had some time to sit and enjoy nature and greet arriving students before he had to go inside and prepare for teaching the next day. Edited by psy, July 14, 2010, 8:09 pm.

![]() Another year at this school for the gifted was to begin tomorrow, but Dr. Raphael Volerus was trying not to think about that at the moment. He was currently holed up in his dark room, shunning the sunlight that streamed down from the heavens outside. His window was always kept covered with heavy drapes during the daylight hours, and today was no exception. Though he seldom slept off the days, he did like to be in the dark of his room. Except when he needed to teach or hold office hours for helping those students who cared enough to approach him about his classes. At this particular moment, he was in the guise of a large white wolf, curled comfortably in a deeply shaded corner of the room. He gave a soft sigh of contentment before resting his head on his paws, his eyes fixed on the door. If someone approached the room, he would revert back into his normal, humanoid form. For now though, he was enjoying his spot in the corner. Edited by That Butler, July 16, 2010, 7:39 pm.

Kara briskly strode through the school's courtyard, her eyes nervously peering from over the fan she held in front of her face. She was embarassed enough revealing her nose to herself in the mirror in the mornings, let alone to dozens of complete strangers! She paused in front of the imposing front doors, then cleared her head. "It'll be worth it in the end..." She murmered to herself, pushing the doors open and stepping into the school building's cool interior. She looked to the small paper she held in her other hand, on which was a map of the ground floor. She swept her gaze across it, settling her eyes on the number 103, her dorm. Without looking up, she quickly navigated the halls to her destination, and darted inside. Now away from the piercing stares of her peers, she lowered her mother's fan with a sigh and began to unpack. As she did so, she noticed a few personal belongings that were certainly not her own. "A roommate..." Kara muttered with a sigh. Edited by Shin Majin, July 14, 2010, 11:23 pm.

![]() Over in Room 203 in the Boy's Dorm, a gray-skinned humanoid with wispy and wild white hair was stretched out casually on his bed. No roommate had yet to show his face, but that suited the young changeling just fine. He'd rather not have a roommate at all. It tended to make people uncomfortable knowing that they were rooming with someone who could change their own gender at will. Then again, some boys might think "Score!" and take full advantage of that. But whatever. This was a school and not a place for boys to be bedding "girls." Well, okay. Daen had to admit that before classes started would be a prime time to have a little fun. But once classes did start, attentions should be more focused on learning. It would be a real shame to be kicked out of this place, and Daen wasn't looking forward to going back on the streets should he be forced to leave. He really had no where else to go. The sound of heavy machinery and dirt flying could be heard nearby, but nothing was there--Nothing but a white haired man standing in the middle of purgatory. The man felt a sharp pain in his right bicep. As he looked to see what had happened, the man was in shock. His entire right arm was missing. There was no blood and no hole, almost like an ethereal force took his arm away from him. Sweating and panting, the man tried to grasp reality... Until it came to him. Within a half-second, Cable was sitting straight up. He glanced at his prosthetic arm and then out the window. "That dream again. Well, I suppose the start of another school year just isn't the same without it." There was a long pause. "Gah, who am I talking to? I need to get moving. I want to see my new students." Cable said, getting dressed. He left his room wearing dress pants and a clean white shirt with the collar buttoned up. Cable figured he shouldn't greet students wearing jeans and an undershirt. Thinking most of the students would be in the cafeteria, that's where the white haired man would be. With omelets now occupying his mind and that blue glow in his eyes, he was off. |

Marash looked appraisingly at the clean chalkboard, then nodded approvingly. Most teachers had moved on to projectors, or at least whiteboards, but Marash did always like to do things old-school. It didn't hurt that chalk was so receptive to her favorite geomantic magic, and that projectors usually didn't take too well to magical manipulation. Glancing to the classroom's empty bookshelf, then to a large stack of textbooks. She raised her paw, made a few subtle gestures, then effortlessly sent a book gliding smoothly through the air, placing itself neatly on the shelf. A few dozen books followed, on varying topics. Marash always felt most comfortable when surrounded by books, regardless of the content inside. Perhaps it reminded her of home. Satisfied with her work, she used the same spell to manipulate the door's knob, then stepped out into the hall to observe the students, both new and old. |

Waking with a start as the bus came to a halt near the front of the school he opened his eyes to see a high school far far larger than his own. The bus doors screeched open as several students filed out, sleep slowly falling off him he grabbed his duffel bag and slung it over his shoulder as he stood, taking his backpack heavily filled with books in his left hand he exited the bus. Andy stared up at the new school as the bus drove away. He had traveled two days to get here because of that stupid and strange letter, his parents thought it would be best for him and there was less of a chance that there "little secret" would be found out; and we all know that they would rather send there son away then be the local laughing stocks. He had a good family yes, a drunken father a needy sensitive mother; but that was his life and he couldn't change it. Looking down at his shoes then and wiggled them a little, his nerves were getting to him as they did most kids on there first day of school. He had never really been away from home before, especially this far and it was kind of scary. Andy had always wanted to get away of course but this wasn't exactly the way he expected it. Sighing lightly he closed his eyes and took in a breath before slowly and shakily letting it out. He had no clue what this was going to be like and what the kids were going to be like, he heard that they were probably going to be annoying city kids and that he would be an outcast because of his home town. Or at least that's what his some what friend said before he left, what encouraging words to someone who is already scared half to death. Andy could cover his fears and emotions well with his charade of anger or just "I don't care, fuck you-ness" about him, but on the inside he was in utter turmoil and fear. Opening his eyes once more he looked around, his brown eyes almost appeared to have fire burning inside them as the color red would flicker about in them, his eyes adjusted from the darkness to the piercing light of the sun, frowning he looked back up at the school before sucking in a breath and marching forward. |

In the distant, towards a small hill overlooking a small portion of the school and in the direction where the sun would soon set, stood Ryoku Nagasaki. A senior at Hidden Hills. He looked around as the school was starting to pack in every corner, he didn't specially care. He thought to himself that it was nice that people are actually trying to learn what they have. He gave off a loud sigh and laid back on the grass and stared at the sky. "Fourth year, oh what a bore" he said. He knew he didn't have much left to be there for. Since he's virtually gained control of his power and could unleash his full potential when asked. He could even be a mentor for the younger students, if he wanted to be. But, it's the thought after Hidden Hills was done for him. Where would he go? Ryoku met all sorts of great people and teachers, Mr. Kaz being one of them. Mr. Kaz is the only teacher that Ryoku is fond of, he's not sure why, but he's learned to be more of a less bitter person, whenever Kastiel's presence would be felt. Going down towards the school, and be ready for the next day, Ryoku strode through the small meadow field, with a small suitcase being carried in the right hand over his back. He reached the school's main gate and entered. And Instantly, it became noisier than a beehive. This is what he was expecting, he hated noisy places, so he frequently went off to that hill to get some peace. He didn't particularly payed attention to anyone while he was walking, he knew he didn't make too many friends the past years, but he was there for thing. He looked at every direction to look at the students walking around everywhere. Sitting down on a statue located dead center in the courtyard, he was more bored then as ever. He decided it was a bit too early to go to his room, so he sat down for a while and examined anyone that passed by. |

Ryan smiled and waved good bye to the SUV that contained his parents after they'd dumped him at the entrance of hidden hills. The smile was more fake than his parents love for him and quickly faded as soon as he knew they couldn't see him Good bye and good riddance.. turning away from the road he looked around himself to the two duffle bags by his side that held all his stuff for Juinor year at hidden hills. Picking the two bags up with a light grunt of effort Ryan made his way to the dorms. Joining the throngs of other students who were doing the same. He started to smile a bit as it sunk in that he was back where he belonged, among other students who had powers like himself. Even the staff had them, granted they had much more control than the students but atleast it wasn't the kind of school where the students and teachers were divided in that matter. Speaking of professors Ryan noticed Mr Kaz land down at the entrance of the school. Ryan would have waved if his arms weren't loaded down with the duffels. Instead he kept trudging on, bags in hand. After a bit of struggling to not knock people over with his bags on the way up the stairs and up the hall. Ryan finally made it to his dorm room "Room 205..finally." checking the door it didn't seem like he had a roommate yet, but he was sure that'd change soon enough. Meanwhile he got to choose what side of the room he wanted. after choosing and laying his bags on the bed he stood up and stretched he'd unpack in a bit, but for now he needed to move around a bit. Grabbing a small pad of paper and a pencil Ryan goes out into the hall to see who he could find that he knew from previous years. Edited by Venin666, July 15, 2010, 6:05 am.

![]() Jayashri sighed as she stepped out of her mother's transport circle, envious at the skill with which the accomplished mage had moved her daughter across space. If only she had been born with a specific ability, instead of being a general witch. If she got really good at what she did, she might achieve the rank of sorceress or magician, but it would take a lot of work. Lugging her apparently small satchel, which contained far more than it ought to, Jaya made her way past the school gates and into the official campus. There she paused, and looked up at the building where it loomed above her. She loved the sight of Hidden Hills, always had. Of all the Kiseki children, from the rather large and diverse Clan, she was the only one allowed to attend Hidden Hills, at least for now. It was quite an honor. Another sigh, this time with happiness, and she was moving again, quickly making her way inside and toward her room. On the way, she spotted a few familiar faces, and she waved cheerfully to them. As soon as she had tossed her bag in her room, she would go exploring. Visit the old haunts...the library, the cafeteria, the chemistry supply closet and classroom... Maybe stop in on old friends and see what they did over the summer...Try and spot a few freshman and guess their race/gift. A bounce entered her step as she thought over her plans for the day, and a smile slowly curled across her face. Her room, 101, came into view, and she spotted a girl there who she had not seen before. A freshman, or one of the dozens of sophomores, juniors and seniors she had not met? Either way, it was rather obvious who the girl was. "Hey!" Jaya called out cheerfully as she neared the other girl. "Looks like we're roommates. You have a preference for room side?" She followed the other girl into the room, and looked around. Yep, just like she remembered it. "Oh, yeah. I'm Jayashri Kiseki. What's your name?" Hopefully, she could at least be friends with her roommate. Edited by Murasaki_Sama, July 16, 2010, 2:09 am.

![]() Lien watched the school from the woods nearby, peeking out from behind the trees at the large building. It looked old, and well lived in. She could see some ivy, or some similar crawling vine plant, on the very base of of the casements, but it didn't rise to far. So, whoever ran the place kept it in good condition. Good for them. She still didn't want to go there. But the hermit, whose name she still could never remember for long, had insisted. He told her she would be safe there, and that no one would try and experiment on her and run endless tests. She would be taught, not just the usual things, but how to control her powers. She didn't want to control them. She wanted them to go away. If only the doctors had taken them when they took her eye. With a feeling of doom, and gloom, she made her way from the treeline toward the school's gates. A pause outside, one more attempt to reason her way out of attending, and she moved through them, and into the moving mass of students. Sure, they were scattered across a rather large lawn. But it was still more people than she was used to seeing, and in a much larger space than she had been in at any time over the last several years. Already, she could feel the discomfort and uncertainty that marked the manifestation of her gift. She just had to get through the students, enter the building, navigate it, without help, and find her room. There, she could hide away from everyone else, and try and calm down. A deep breath in...and out, and she was off, moving as quickly as possible. About half way across the yard, only a few meters from the door to the building, she misjudged the depth of a small pot hole, and tripped. Her small bag, containing the only two other changes of cloths she owned, cushioned her fall, but not very well. With a grimace of shame, Lien rose, and made her way toward the building. Let no one have seen that and let no one remember. She did not like being so clumsy, so unsure of herself. But she couldn't help it. She couldn't see properly! Once inside, she calmed down a bit, more used to enclosed spaces than open ones. Eight years in a lab, most of that time spent in a small room, and the outside world was a large and frightening thing. Navigating the building, luckily, proved to be rather easy, and Lien quickly found her room. A quick check inside showed it was empty, and the tiniest smile touched her lips. Maybe she would be lucky, and not have a roommate, even with the two beds in the room. Without a pause, she made her way to the bed farthest from the door, and plopped down. She curled up into a ball around her small bag, facing the door, just in case someone came in. Her eyes fluttered, closing for a moment, before opening. She was also not very used to exercise, and she had walked all the way from the hermits house to here. She was tired...Maybe a small...nap..... |

Cable's eyes were constantly moving on his way to the cafeteria. He saw faces, new and old, smiling and frowning, confident and scared. One thing he's always enjoyed about the school is it's diversity, not just in powers but in people. Everyone is unique. As Cable approached the cafeteria, he had a thought. I think I'll get the staff coffee. And so he did. He ordered five coffees on a tray and proceeded back to the teachers' set of rooms, holding the tray along with a content smile. Nearing the start of the '300' rooms, he began to knock on the first five doors as he passed each one of them. It didn't seem like too many of the teachers were in. "Raphael? Kaz? I brought coffee." He shouted, standing outside room 305. |

![]() Raphael gave a soft growl in the back of his throat when he heard the knock on his door. He had been so comfortable, and now he had to get up. But he certainly took his time stretching out his lupine body before turning back into his seemingly human form. He pulled on a cloak to protect him from light in the hallway before opening the door with a pale hand to see Cable there with several coffee cups. That was a nice gesture on his part, though Raphael really didn't have much of an interest in food or drink unless it was spiked with blood. Or was entirely blood. Cable should know that. He didn't bother hiding what he was from the teachers. He only kept the students from knowing what he was. "Generous of you, Cable," he stated in a silky voice. His voice had always been pleasing to listen to, but it was certainly moreso since he had become a vampire. "Though I am sure you are aware of my tastes..." Cable jerked his head back to look up at the ceiling. "Right, sorry. I'm forgetful, sometimes. After all, it's been two months." Looking at Raphael and levelling his gaze, the white haired man would ask "I didn't wake you up, by chance, did I?" Cable proceeded to pull one of the coffee cups out of the tray. He took a sip and then asked yet another question. "Actually, don't answer that. I've got a better question. How'd you become what you are? You know, a vampire, I mean. Of course you were bitten, but is there any back-story to it? Like my arm, for example. I don't think I've ever told you how it came to be, although I'm sure you've noticed the constant changes in it..." "It got dismembered in an accident when I was working at my old job. I used to do construction. Hell, looking back at it, I should've sued the place. I wonder if it's too late for that." Cable had started to ramble, letting a slight chuckle escape his lips. |

![]() "Hey! Looks like we're roommates. You have a preference for room side?" Aki turned when she heard the voice behind her. Her roommate was here, oh how exciting it was. Her eyes sparkled and widened with excitement when she saw the purple haired girl before her. She looked nice, at least at first glance, but Aki always had good first impressions of everyone. She opened the door quickly so they both could enter the room and begin unpacking. "I'll take either side, I guess," Aki said with nervous excitement, "You can have the one by the window if you wish. My house is dark— I'm used to the dark." "Oh, yeah. I'm Jayashri Kiseki. What's your name?" "I'm Aki," she responded quickly to the question, "Aki Omallia. I'm a freshman this year. Are you a freshman as well? Oh, I'm so excited to get started. I do hope we can be friends. What are you, if I may ask? My Mother went to this school when she was young and she said there were all sorts of different people here. One of her best friends was a dragon. He was a shape shifter though, so he could fit in the halls. My Father also went here, but they didn't meet here. That's a long story for another day. Oh! I'm half vampire and half demon; at least that's what my parents say. Most people say that's impossible, but here I am! Out of my mother's womb with traits that are definitely my fathers. Not that mail man's child! But what did you say your name was again, I already forgot! Oh my... I've been rambling haven't I? I'm sorry. I do this when I'm nervous... or excited... or... I'll just stop." Aki turned a bright shade of red after realizing that she had rambled so much to her new roommate. So much for a normal first impression. Well at least everything was on the table, sort of. She hoped she wouldn't mind rooming with someone such as her. Her mother warned her that some people were a little prejudiced. |

Sonny Jensen jumped down the steps of the bus that stopped outside of the school. He had had to get a few buses; one from his part of town – a bus with graffiti down the side, smelling of cigarettes with a cracked window and ripped seats – to just outside the town and then another out to the school itself. The young boy felt himself lucky to have managed to scrape together enough money to get to the school. A bright smile lit up the boy’s bright green eyes as he walked, with a bounce in his step, towards the grand building. He shifted the large and rather grubby rucksack on his back; it seemed to be almost as big as him and was filled with all his belongings, which equated to very little. In his hand he held a small, creased piece of paper containing his timetable and his details; his name and his room number. Sonny glanced around excitedly, standing still for a moment though he was shaking with effervescence as his wide eyes took in his surroundings, breathing in the clean air and watching the grass ripple in the breeze. Students and teachers were dotted about moving into the school and talking to people they’d missed during the summer break. The young male could spot the few freshmen, here for their first year and looking around, some with anxiety and some with confusion. Sonny gave a small giggle of happiness, and time jumped backwards a few seconds, people taking a few steps backwards and reversing before time resumed to normality. A few people glanced around, and Sonny recognised the feeling of déjà vu in their facial expressions; he blushed a little, feeling stupid that his ability acted up due to his excitement. He wondered for a moment, whether those around him, given they all knew of the types of powers than existed, would think it was someone’s power acting up. Most of the people in his regular school and around his neighbourhood never knew it was him that kept on accidentally reversing or accelerating time – he knew he could also stop and slow time but he’d never done the latter, and the former only happened once when he saw his sister walking obliviously into the path of a speeding car. Shrugging off his small embarrassment, Sonny headed into the school and glanced around. The inside seemed to be buzzing with activity, people brushing past him and walking in groups, laughing with each and talking happily. Everyone seemed to be a lot bigger than him but this had never bothered him before and he smiled up at the few people who welcomed him. After a while of talking to strangers and looking at everything in sight in rapid succession, Sonny headed off in the direction of the male dormitories a kind senior girl had pointed him towards. After a while, Sonny began to get distracted from his destination, room two-oh-five. He began to wander aimlessly down the corridor, fiddling with the hem of his tee shirt and walking in a zig-zagging line. It wasn’t long before Sonny walked straight into someone, stumbling backwards and landing on the floor. The young boy looked up and saw a tall, brown haired boy with glasses; he was holding a notebook and pen. “Oh, hi!” Sonny said with a bright smile, literally jumping up from the floor. He shifted the large rucksack, swaying slightly as the weight pulled him backwards again. The boy managed to balance himself then looked up at the taller male, “I’m Sonny, I’m new here. I don’t suppose you know where room two-oh-five is, do you?” he asked, with an inquisitive tone. His eyes seemed to never stop moving, looking everywhere and taking everything in. Sonny clapped his hands together – one of his habits he’d had from young caused by his ADHD. Another spike of sudden excitement caused time to flicker forwards then backwards in quick succession. Sonny mumbled an apology, in case the older male had noticed. |

![]() Jaya eagerly moved toward the bed on the far wall, beneath the window. Now she could see the stars at night, and the campus during the day, and who knew what else? She turned to look at her roommate as she introduced herself. Aki Omallia, what a nifty name! She smiled kindly as the girl, who announced herself to be a freshman, then preceded to ramble on. It was all very interesting, and Jaya listened avidly, loving to learn new things about people. That is until Aki said what race she was. "...half vampire and half demon.." All Jaya could think was Awwwwwww...Now I can't guess! That was one of her favorite things to do when she met a new person. Oh well, at least it was an interesting thing to be, right? After all, how many half vampire, half demon -.....Wait. ...Was that even possible? Well, obviously, it had to be. She was here. But still, it didn't seem like it should be possible... Jaya got an odd look into her eye, like a scientist dissecting a very fascinating specimen, as she walked toward her roommate, looking her up and down carefully. Yep, she looked a bit like a vamp all right. She had no idea what a demon as supposed to look like.... "That's awesome...What attributes of each race do you have? Do you have any special weaknesses created by the meshing or two species? Second gen, to, eh? I'm like...eighteenth generation Hidden Hills Alumni...Sophomore, by the way. Can you go out into the sun?" The words spilled from her mouth as she continued to examine her roommate. Oh, asking her questions might quickly become a past time of Jaya's. When she wasn't working on homework, or reading some random book from the library that had caught her attention...or when she wasn't already interrogating...questioning....talking to someone else. Ryoku had just seen a girl with an eye patch trip and fall, but he just didn't bother to even notice it. After all, that girl must have been new anyways, and especially with the eye patch, it would have been hard to see anything. After all that time sitting around and just randomly looking at the new people coming in through the gate, he decided it was time to get in his dorm. He walked through the mass crowd of people walking everywhere. Sending off a little static to anyone he lightly bumps into, after he passes, people would murmur "what's up with that guy" he chuckled a little and continued strolling along. He was walking through the quad now, and there he stumbled upon a boy who seemed to be overly excited and way too happy to be here. He also spotted and glanced at Ryan Tills, a face he's seen before, but haven't really talked too. Ryan Tills' power amused Ryoku. He saw Ryan the previous year in the art rooms, bringing his small paper creations to life and giving them depth. He wondered what a useless power that must have been, but as he began to wonder, it might not be so useless after all. If he could learn farther than what he can learn, he could draw a lot of things that will help him survive like, food and water. Reality snapped back to Ryoku, and he glanced at Ryan Tills one more time, before proceeding to the hallway labeled 200s. There, he opened the doors, and walked down the hall. As he passes, the light bulbs flickered, getting a few students to wonder what the hell was going on and with a ominous feeling, students started to run outside. Ryoku reached the room labeled 2-0-4, he touched the door, and static particles would form around the doorknob as he touched it. He looked in, and no one was there yet, he seemed to be the first one in. And as so, he took the bed to the window and set his suitcase there. He opened the blinds covering the window and let sunshine in the dark room. After doing so, he went back outside. He glanced around at the now empty hallway. Feeling bored, as always, he goes back outside where Ryan Tills was, dragging his fingers along metals walls, to create electric discharges. He didn't see anyone coming, but then, a freshman bumped into him and Ryoku accidentally shocked the boy, making his hair stand up. "Ayeeeeeee" said the boy as he got shocked. Ryoku, feeling sorry, wanted to help him, but it would just result in him discharging more static to the boy. "Sorry..." he said. The boy recovered and paced off quickly. |

“This truly is going to be a very interesting experience for me.” Matthew said concealed within a tree. It had taken him a couple of months to get to the school since he had left as soon as he had received the invitation to Hollow Hills. Even the trip getting here rewarded him with valuable experience fighting on an unknown territory. After a few successful robberies and some unpleasant events he made finally made it to his destination a few days early then when it was supposed to start. He had used that time to survey the area and also potential storage spots for his spoils and possible other treasures in the future. “I probably should get out of this tree so that I might learn more about these people.” He thought, while letting himself slowly down to not draw attention. As he landed gracefully on his feet he checked his belt for his dagger and lockpick. While on the way to Hollow Hills he had almost lost it in an ambush made by less talented thieves. With ease he simply vanished from where they had seen him, and then he quickly took each of them down with his dagger. A couple had managed to lay hands on him, but with a natural twist of his body they had gone flying into a couple of trees. With that he had taken some of there loot and had hidden away the rest because of weight issues. As he started to walk the entrance of the school he suddenly vanished from everyone’s view. This created a little smile onto his lips as people started looking around at where he had gone. Hopefully they would not know or think yet of what he would use this for, but for now he simply kept on walking straight to the entrance and then to his dorm where all that lay on his bed so far was his backpack. |

![]() "I have taken notice of your arm, of course," Raphael stated evenly, glancing at the limb in question as Cable drank some of the coffee. "I sincerely doubt anyone has not. As for my own story, there are some things I would prefer to leave to speculation. The story behind how I became as I am is one of those things, I am afraid." It was not a very satisfying answer, but he didn't much like talking about his past. He'd discuss his past research with anyone who wished to hear about it, but other than that he was very tight-mouthed about his life to this point. Particularly anything having to do with his life before he became a vampire, and certainly the events leading up to his change. Edited by That Butler, July 16, 2010, 7:40 pm.

Ryan had just gotten out of his room when...WHAM a small body moving fairly quickly slammed right into him. stumbling back he managed to keep a hold of his notepad but his pencil dropped to the ground. Instinctively he reached into his pocket for the pen that was always there.looking to who could have run into him Ryan found himself looking to someone rather short and, as far as he could recall, new to the school. Literally leaping into a standing position from being knocked down The freshman introduced himself as Sonny and seemed to be full of energy. Most importantly though he seemed to be Ryan's new roommate... Adjusting his clothes from the collision, Ryan pocketed his pen and paper and straightened his glasses. "Nice to meet you Sonny, I'm Ryan, and as it seems..I'm also your roommate... 205 is right behind me to the right I've put my stuff on my bed so you'll have to take the other one." Sonny seemed to never stop moving even clapping once, seemingly out of the blue. At one point he flickered backward and foreward real quick. Something to do with his ability? Ryan muzed. A small Apology came out of his new roommate's lips causing Ryan to smile lightly "your a freshman aren't you?...it's ok you don't have control over your gift that well yet." Ryan put his hands in his pockets taking a deep breath and looking around the dorms briefly before his gaze returned to his new roommate. Someone this full of energy may require that some of his drawing be done outside but that was yet to be seen. Out of the corner of his eye Ryan noticed Ryoku walk by the usual flickering lights announcing the newly senior's presence. Ryan knew the basics of Ryoku's gift but didn't talk with Ryoku much so he didn't know much. Ryan did however have to stifle a laugh for a few seconds as a different freshman got a real shocking welcome to his first year at Hidden Hills. It was a kind of fitting begining for both parties in Ryan's opinion Edited by Venin666, July 15, 2010, 6:12 am.
