Richard Price was released from custody yesterday. Why they unexpectedly released him yesterday evening is a mystery, but he is a free man spending Christmas with his family. Thanks all for your tremendous support during his time in prison. |

FANTASTIC NEWS! Good for you, Pricey! I wonder if the conviction wouldn't be supported because of the outright incompetence of the judge combined with the trumped up charges that shoud never have been brought against Pricey in the first place? |

No mate, he was convicted of them in court. I think it would take a retrial to reverse that. An appeal would only alter the sentence to my knowledge, although I am sure other people know more about the legalities than I do |

His body might be free . But his liberties are still abused, If this 10 year CrAsbo is still in place, Now i am obviously delighted for Pricey his family and his supporters, I see it this way. Just because the "Authorites" have stopped kicking him in the bollox, They still with this CrAsbo , got him and his co-accused in a choke hold, Until we shake free from this strangulation of liberties and freedom,s. That these Crasbo,s impose upon any voice of dissent, The war is not over, lets not win the battle and lose the war. NO SURRENDER, |

Hear hear mate, these CRASBOs don't just affect the EDL, they threaten the very core value of democracy in this country for all free men and women. The right of assembly is not just guarded by British law it is also, as Slodger has so wisely pointed out, contravenes Article 11 of the Human Rights Act. The right of assembly is something our forefathers died for, not just on the battlefields but also on the streets of this country at places such as Peterloo. The CRASBOs were a direct and ill thought out attack on our liberties as much as the drunken German soldiers who conducted the Peterloo massacre and they must be opposed at all costs. |

Great news, but don't equate him with Mandela! Mandela admitted he was guilty of the terrorism charges for which he was imprisoned! Happy Christmas to him and his family from one Jew in the holy land. |

Great news he is where he belongs with his family at Christmas, but after the festivities there is the asbo to take care of, that is if Richard wishes to pursue it. |

Just because Christmas falls on a Saturday this year, I won't be at the office. I'm told it is a big deal in Christian villages but in Tel Aviv you barely notice it. Anyway best wishes to you all and have a good one. First Christmas tree I'll see will probably be when I land in LA next week on my way to Vegas. Richard 'Solzenitzen' Price would be my choice if we have to give him a middle name! |

Great news that he will be able to spend Christmas with his family. Surely the best Christmas present you could ask for. I think someone overstepped the mark with the initial decision . Lets hope his lawyers press home this small advantage and appeal the Asbo also. Fingers crossed.

brilliant news. I know the charges will still sick as they can't be quashed without an elaborate re-trial, but an apology for locking him up wouldn't go astray. I wouldn't hold my breath on that one though. I wonder if any of us will get a reply top the emails we sent off. No reply from mine yet. |

I'm delighted for Richard and his family that he is out in time for Christmas. It's a good job I caught this thread on my mobile phone this morning. I was going to send him a tenner every couple of weeks while he was in prison, and had the first postal order ready to fill in and send today. I'm sure recent events will have taken a financial toll on the man and his family. So Richard, if your willing to accept it, that postal order is still yours. All it needs is for someone to PM an address to which I can send it. Preferably not an individuals home address. If I don't hear anything by the New Year then the money goes to the EDL. Must have been my email to Ken Clarke that did it! All jokes aside, great news, it was a fugging travesty in the first place. I hope he and his family have a wonderful Christmas, true Englishman! Shelfside. |

Excellent news. I hope he can now have some sort of decent Xmas with his friends and loved ones. I hope, also, that the outrageous 10 year politically motivated ASBO placed on him will be rescinded in full in the New Year. Until it is he remains a political prisoner IMO. |
