Seen a few black ribbons tied to a few muzzy taxies around leeds and got told earlier in the pub that this is a sign of support for the talibum's?

Has anyone else seen or heard of this?

Black ribbons have been used for all sorts of purposes by lots of groups. As for PC Khan in the link WATB gave, it stinks of taqiyya. Can anyone find be a reference to a black ribbon as a good luck symbol. I have found something of interest though.

Not exactly support for the Taliban, possibly opposition even. If this is the black ribbon in question. Why not come out and say so?

Exactly. Why would this black Ribbon be a sign of good luck anyway? No evidence to suggest that it is.

I don't think it's a pro Taliban thing, I suspect I might even have some sympathy. The problem is that you can never ever tell with Muzzies. Lying is such an intrinsic part of Islam that once you begin to understand the nature of the cult it becomes automatic to distrust anything any Muslim says.

Unfortunately, this drives a wedge between non Muslims and innocent Muslims, and this drives the secret apostates straight into the clutches of the hardcore Islamacists.

it is not a wow moment for me but a moment of reflection if only our men in power had av listened in the first place .

Have you any evidence mate? I'm not saying I disbelieve you, I don't. But, getting me to believe you and getting others to are two different matters.

For all its faults, Islam is strongly anti-superstition. if an act is not supported by reference to it in the Quran, then it is haram.

I doubt if these cabbies have decided to go against the Quran in order to try and benefit from a good luck charm.

Draw your own conclusions on the press spin and police involvement.

only evidence i have is what the islamics told me ,trying to get them to repeat it in front of others is like getting an mp to tell the truth nigh on impossible .All i can say is at the time 1991 -1998 , because of my marriage they believed i was on their side and i was told all kinds of what i thought at the time was B/S.needless to say after 9/11 because of my views against those who wished us harm those i thought were mates no longer talk to me .
Sorry i cant give more concrete evidence but thats the nature of the game they play , and to those who will no doubt say its only heresay tell that to my ex who had to go into hiding at 13 (1987) cuase her dad wanted her married .

Quite simple really: Muhammad used a simple black banner as his battle standard which is now housed in the Topkapi Palace Museum.

Fair play Steve, I could tell you about when my father took in language students when I was a kid. Some were great blokes, some were dangerous and quiet, the good guys told us about their religious fervour. The worst though was a fat Saudi bastard who covered his room's walls with centrefolds.

He went to beat me one day after an argument about TV channels, but refrained. My old man was a short arse with a huge ribcage, think international level rugby union hooker. I told my dad about the incident, and the fat git was history. I can't prove it. I can't prove many other experiences I've had in my life with Muzzies either.

We now know the game, but we need to learn to play it better than they do. NFSE
