I was wondering, when and how did you discover the truth about Islam, that it isn't really a religion of peace and that Islamic extremists aren't misinterpreting the Quran? |

when we had to send an army of noble men to defend pilgrims from death in jerusalem....the sacking and daeth of constantinople.all history.i learned it a very young age .i was about 15/16 maybe a year or two younger.i had a castle bought me for christmas when i was about 11.there were knights and scaracens.all in thier colours.and flags.that was the seed so to say.fell in love with El-Cid at that age aswell.fantastic film.highley recommended to people who want to know a little history of one of the islamic crusades. i have a statue of arc angel michael in my house,he protected heaven from the devil,i learned the knights used imagery of ST.George for that reason to stop islam(the devil)on earth. i could go on but there you go just a little snip of a bigger picture. keep the faith paxi

Apart from what Paxi has just said, I discovered the joyous beauty of Islam in it´s purest form after reading about such events as all the aeroplane hijackings in the early ´70s, the Lod airport massacre, the `72 Olympics massacre - not all carried out strictly by Islamics, but in their fugging name. How slow we have been to wake up -practically catatonic. |

At uni (UCL) in 1996. A friend of mine converted and I was bombarded by muslims trying to get me to convert. I needed to edcuate myself to be able to argue back. At the time people were being slaughtered in Algeria by jihadis, fresh from training in Afghanistan. This was the precurser to 9/11. I also met a member of Al Mujharun who scared the hell out of a naive me with his views. At this point I realised this was a massive issue. |

Sh*t, I forgot. We had 2 muslims in my dorm at school, one was called Teza, an Iranian - cultured, friendly and a decent kid. The other (I even remember his surname) was a nasty hook nosed fugger called Jamil Malik from Iraq, always going on about "Russia give us missiles, Russia give us missiles". All he ever said (primarily) was this, why he was allowed in the school was a huge question, but his parents drove a Bentley so that might offer some insight. Anyway, one day he beat the absolute sh*t out of me - even at 14 he was 6 feet tall - after the rumour went around - from me allegedly - that when we had the school nurse examine us and perform the infamous "cough and drop" procedure, he shot his load. He was an absolute c**t, but I did have my revenge later.... That was probably when I realised Islam and it´s practitioners were totally radio rental. |

I first came across it at college, noticing the very secular divide they struck up themselves between the other students. working for the NHS and the preferential treatment they get and then research online. however the most ive learned about Islam is on this site - THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU! I feel now i probly know more about islam than some of the muslims themselves! |

Their areas are the only places i go where i'm constanly alert and they have no respect for the areas they live in, can anyone on here give me a nice area that has a very high Muslim population? because i can't think of anyway. Every area has good and bad people but why is it you get more idiots in Islamic areas then any other area? I know alot of people can't drive but come on now how many times have you been through their areas more then any other in cars and asked yourself if some of these people have licenses because their constantly pulling out on you? They just don't give a sh1t! (Not the best of examples to give but it will do) After years of experiencing their disrespectfull attitudes towards people and our country as a whole it gives you a negative view about these people. Then when you constantly hear about innocent people dying in the name of Allah it makes you hate Islam more and by the time you come round to reading quotes out of the Quran you feel like running into walls head first! I'm sure there are many Muslims who come on here to see what we talk about and yes you might be genuine and there people don't represent you but dont you think it's about time you started standing up against them? |

1. Read Churchill 2. Watched TV on 9/11 3. Read newspapers on 7/7 4. Handed Islamic hate leaflet in Cardiff 5. Read excerpts from Koran 6. Heard about poppy burning 7. Saw women in burka 8. Stupidly, it took all that before I really started learning about the true evil nature of Islam. |

Up until the 'Satanic Verses' book burning and Fatwa I had believed Islam was genuinely a religion of peace. Of course, I hadn't actually bothered to read the Quran at that stage, but as soon as I read I was stunned by its chilling agenda. |

I first heard about Islam many years ago when i girlfriend converted to marry her muslim partner. After a few months of converting she wasnt allowed to associate with me or anyone else and we lost our friendship..just after she had converted i didnt agree with the things she was telling me about the religion...then over the years i was reading articles in papers and on the internet regarding Islam..really hit hard when 9/11 happened and thats when i thought that the world has definetely taken a turn for the worst..not forgetting to mention all the horrendous suicide bombings etc etc that have happened... since joining the EDL i have learnt much more and im so grateful for that...knowledge is power... |

First became aware of Islam back in 1972 (Munich Olympic massacre) though the various media types at the time had it as a political statement by the PLO, rather than their religion. Still it started me asking a few questions though answers were at that time hard to come by, you needed to go to a few religious bookshops (SPCK and CLC) to get answers, even then the full chilling reality of the Islamists was hidden from view. Then came the Iranian revolution and the Satanic Verses and it became plain that Islam and western civilisation were incompatible and that sooner or later it would come down to war. |

And why would someone as civilised and educated as Churchill have such a negative opinion on it ?? They are not stupid. Many anti-Islamists, Geert Wilders, etc are not stupid people, they must be speaking some truth about this religion/cult. |

It's a cult not a religion as the Quran encourages martyrdom and death. |

I learned about the practice of Islam by living as a white, out gay man in an area which over the 17 years my partner and I lived there was transformed into what was essentially an Islamic colony in Buckinghamshire. It was not however until I found my way to this Forum that I began to learn the theory behind Islam. |

When I read about the 1948 Arab-Israel War. How stupid the Arab world has been ... If the Arab/Islamic world had have welcomed the Jews ... a maximum of 15 million of them - then the economies of the Islamic states would be far further forward than they are today. Islam missed a "golden opportunity". I realised that the political and religious leaders of Islam had, to a considerable extent, taken over the mantle of Nazism, soaked up the anti-semitism of the Christian world, and had, in effect, "sold their souls to the Devil". I realised that Islam had truly become an intolerant cult wherein psychopathic minds could flourish. |

I'm a late developer in terms of Islam-awareness. I live in an area that is largely unaffected by Islam. I used to read the Guardian and watch the BBC News channel until earlier this year. A (former) friend of mine was talking (disparagingly) about the EDL, I came on this forum and looked around for a bit. I did some independent research and slowly realised I'd been lied to for most of my adult life, came back and 'joined up'. As a result of somebody who should know me better implying that I'm racist because I'm EDL I started to think back over my life and an interesting thing occurred to me. In the early 70s I had a mate called A--- M----. He was born in Preston of Pakistani parents. He lived around the corner from me, in Blackpool. As far as I'm aware he was the only Pakistani-origin person of my age-group in Blackpool, at that time. There was a group of six of us used to pal about together and we were pretty much inseparable, we were always in and out of each others houses, except for A---'s. He lived, he told us, with his sister and brother-in-law. Nobody ever got past A---'s front-door, or as far as I know, met any of his family. We all used to go to watch Blackpool together. One Saturday I called for A--- to go to see Blackpool play PNE. He met me at the door and said he couldn't come, I could hear shouting from inside the house. Some time later he told me he couldn't come to Preston in case any of his family saw him. I moved to NZ in '74 and when I came back in '77 A--- had moved on, nobody knew where. Fast forward to 2010 and knowing what I know now, it looks like A---'s people were 'on the trot' from something. This was nearly forty years ago. Nobody thought there was a problem then. Makes you think, eh? As an afterthought, I was in detention centre in 1979. There was one person originating from the Indian sub-continent in there. One. Imagine that, now. WTF happened there? |
