So much for Al Beebazeera, and the so-called "quality" press.

(I hadn't seen this report here before, so if it's been posted, feel free to delete it.)

MORE than 1,000 passionate EDL marchers turned Peterborough red and white for their protest against Islamic extremism on Saturday (11th December).

Many of the protestors, who had vowed to carry out a peaceful demonstration, waved St George’s Flags, political placards and Winston Churchill posters during the city centre rally.

Some even donned Santa hats and full Father Christmas suits for the group’s first demonstration in Peterborough.

They were surrounded on all sides by hundreds of police officers mobilised in one of the biggest operations Peterborough has ever seen.

EDL protesters flocked to Peterborough from across the country and made their presence known from 10am by proudly singing their trademark chants.

By noon a dozen coaches and three minivans had arrived in the car park next to the Peterborough United ground with supporters being directed to local pubs, which had all stayed open ahead of the march.

Then at 1pm eager supporters surged forward from its starting point next to the Posh Ground before calmly crossing over Town Bridge.

The chanting and shouting supporters, whose ages ranged from teenagers to pensioners, were in buoyant mood as they reached the fenced off static protest outside Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Lower Bridge Street at 1.15pm.

The static protest included entertainment by a live band, charismatic speeches by Stephen Yaxley-Lennon and Guramit Singh and recordings of protest songs including the Sex Pistols.

Intrigued shoppers watched them from behind a ring of steel created by Peterborough City Council to separate them from the protest.

At 3pm the protest came to an end and marchers were directed back towards London Road.

Some clashes between protestors and police marred the journey back, with two arrests made outside Bridge Street Police Station.

Contrast the report of this demo with the lying, racist, fascist, trade-unionists at the UAF conference, who tore up photos of the black people and asian people who support EDL, then proceeded to attack a jewish woman, a pakistani woman, and a gay man, and try to smash the video camera showing what fascists they were!

These leftards are the problem - they actually want to stop muslims joining EDL. Their jobs and status as professional "anti-fascists" are at risk if they end up with the population finding out there are no anti-fascists to fight.
