Hey all am just asking a quick question, this may have been asked before but couldn't see any other topic. I've just had the police visit my house in regards to the purchase of a EDL hoodie, just wondered if anyone else has encountered the same thing?

Hi, why would the police visit your house to see if you've brought an EDL hoodie? I cannot see how you've broken any law by purchasing a top over the internet unless you've done it with a dodgy credit card!

Were you on the leaked list of names and addresses?

Mal, I could be wrong but you may have been on the leaked list of people who made donations or bought and an EDL item. NS

hey thx for replies, they said the clothing site had been hacked and basically the UAF or other lefties had my home address plus those of many others whom had recently purchased anything off the EDL site (Please delete if my comment is senistive to EDL site security). Then they basically demanded all the names and ages of those living in my household and if I intended to attend any future rallies. I believe in the end they were trying to intimidate me into abandoning the cause to be honest, they must be getting worried about EDL numbers if this is what they are resorting too.

Some forces are visiting people on the leaked list. Ideal opportunity for them to gather some intel as well as making sure that they are ok.

If they do visit you, be sure to make a formal complaint about the leaking of your personal information on the interwebs. ;)

theres women and kids on that list,
theres ethnic minoritys, disabled people and other vulnerable people,
so its about lees and co's level to be harrassing them.
thing is,
remember if anything did happen like vandalism, harrassment etc, that whoever commited it will have their name and address up , when theyre in court.
anyone trying anything physical will be guaranteed jail as well.

I agree m8, just using this to "talk" and get info. It,s a worry particularily the personal security of members.

Equally worrying is that the ob can visit a private home and ask questions about individuals involvment in the EDL simply because a piece of clothing was purchased.

I smell several rats here.

I can't honestly believe that a list of names of people that may or may not have a loose association to a non political organisation is of greater use than the BNP list of 10,000 members that were put up on the net? Some people on that list were buying presents for others, and I also know that someone had their identity stolen and this persons name has appeared.
I hope the idiots that are posting this list are found and dealt with by the Law. Can you image if one of them gets caught and their details are posted in the net, it doesn't bear thinking about does it?
