Ok it seems that there are people who still use one password for all their internet requirements.

Get real, firstly Passwords should be secure a good way to test your passwords is found HERE

if you have any better sites for checking passes please post them here,
Sharing is caring,, Unless its your password :)

Also using the same pass for everything is really daft,
we are only as strong as our weakest link, try and ensure you are not that weak link,
I suggest people go away and figure out if they are up to speed security wise,
with the recent breeches in security, Now might be the best time to start sorting this out,
Any Dodgy PMs on facebook here or anything out of character from a "friend" view with suspicion,

Stay safe

You can help keep your computer safe with a choice from a variety of free programmes on the link below. No excuses. Only takes a few minutes, and you can still use your puter whilst it is all downloading.

I've heard from a few people in the know that it's pretty easy to get anyone's password IF they want to, from scanning open ports and pinging your computer to this method below:

Anyone can easily get online and steal passwords - and it will not cost them much either.

This was the message during a live hack coordinated this morning by Jason Hart, senior vice president in Europe for two-factor authenticaton provider CRYPTOCard.

During the hack, he set up his own wireless hotspot, which he simply called BT Openzone.

As delegates used the wireless service, Hart was able to get hold of whatever usernames and passwords were being typed into web applications, just by using an easily downloadable password recovery tool called Cain & Abel.

When Hart and his team tested out the method across cafes in the UK, 100 per cent of web browsers in the various establishments used the fake BT Openzone service.

“That’s how easy it is, it is instant,” said Hart.

PS I'm NOT trying to scare anybody, however there are people out there who can easily hack into any systems if they so desire.

Shields Up is another good programme for checking your security, it lets you check how vulnerable your pc is to a hacker. If they can't see you, it's harder to hit you.

Google LASTPASS which is a password remembering system. This will help you give different passwords to different sites.

This is VITAL. If one site is hacked, they can't get in to any others if you've always used a different password.

The other alternative is to have your own system where you use some part of the sites name in the middle of a password you can remember.

They can pull themselves almost to the twenty first century but eventually the cord tightens and flings them back.
