My friend is here with me and cannot believe I am a part of the EDL...doesnt believe what I say so invited him to take over the keyboard and ask several questions. Call him Mr K. 1) Are there any muslims in the EDL ? 2) Do the EDL hate all Asians ? 3) Is the EDL linked to the BNP ? I am a proud British Sikh..can you tell the difference between Sikhs and muslims ? |

hello mr k yes there is muslims in the EDL i have personally met them and chatted with some on a few demo's . no we don't hate asains half my family are of asain stock including my 3 beautiful daughters. no link to the b n p . telling the difference between sikhs and muslims is a difficult one to answer i like to think i can especially if they are dressed in traditional clothes and for me sikhs seem to be the ones who smile more. hope that helps and i saw a few sikhs today at the demo with turbans on with no trouble. n/s[R4E]spelling[/R4E] Edited by Steve Freedom, Dec 11 2010, 08:23 PM.

Yes Abdul Salaam being the most popular one. No i hate racism. No that is leftist lies to try to discredit our aim, and our aim is to only fight Militant Islam. Everyone's welcome in the EDL no matter what your religion is, no matter what colour skin you are, Sikhs support EDL facebook page has way more then the ones that oppose us. No i can not tell the difference, unless they're wearing certain cloths which represent what religion they are. But i have no problem with Sikhs, neither do i have a problem with moderate Muslims. Thanks back to lionsingh... was surprised being fed the media crap and so asked him to ask the EDL and look around the forum. Couldnt believe at first that we were against just extreme islam and indoctrination....and not nazi/racists... Believes me now and said he would look at the forum again. The more people who see our message the better for us all. |

Depends on whether they are in full on Islamist mode I guess. I've worked with Muslims on and off over the last few years, one was a damned hard worker though I suspect only a nominal Muslim as he did enjoy his whisky. Others feckless workshy braggarts, then again I've worked with a few English guys like that too. They definitely can't be trusted in groups and will always put their family first, so never lend one any gear it will come back wrecked as you aren't family and don't deserve respect. |

Well done for bringing him here, Lionsingh. Hopefully when he comes back he will be a full supporter of the EDL.

I've met Muslims before, if i can go up to them and have a decent discussion i know i can trust them, so far it's only been 1. Whilst 7 others i tryed talking to just didn't want to know, either wanted a fight or just stick their fingers up at me. So i do know for a fact that there's moderates out there as i've met one, he didn't drink beer, or eat pork, so i assume he was a practising Muslim. Edited by Night_Crawler, Dec 11 2010, 08:46 PM.

Hi Mr K, 1) Yes, but I'm not sure if there are practising ones. 2) Certainly not. 3) Absolutely not, I believe the BNP tried to take over the EDL in its formation, but were beaten off. Perhaps an old hand can confirm or deny this. I can spot traditional clothing, but straight answer is no. Race isn't a sure sign either, because both Sikh and Muslims can be any race. I know there are some Sikhs zealots in India, but in general I admire the Sick religion. If after a period of contact I can't tell a guy isn't a Sikh then he's not a Muslim I'd worry about. |

Hello, I can't talk FOR the EDL but my personal opinion is this: I have no problem with anyone* who upholds decent British values. If you live in Britain, abide by British laws, and show respect, then you have mine. As for Sikhs (and I include Hindu's too) they appear to be a fairly sound bunch. Never had a problem with anyone wearing a turban. and I've been told by a few old timers that they are very proud to be British. Could I tell a Muslim apart from a Sikh? Sure, I'd recognise the turban. But if you weren't wearing one, I could probably tell you were a Sikh just by your general peaceful manner. I have general respect for Sikhs. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In principal, I hate Islam, but that doesn't mean that people who happen to have been born into a Muslim family can't be decent British citizens. The point is, far too many are just the opposite. In my experience, the only sound Muslims I have met and had drinks with have been of African origin. p.s. It will take a lot to convince me that Somalians aren't total flith. Come down to Stapleton Road in Bristol and look around, ask around town. I've never heard a good word said about them. You can call that racism, I call it realism I treat them as I find them, it's not fair to go causing trouble unless trouble find you. |

have been speaking about the EDL for a while...he thought i was off my head supporting a nazi surrogate as he thought.... Is interested as I said...just look at what people write to you back..Its not a trick but real honesty. He was surprised that he got responses...reacted nervously...then "got it". My mother is a real asian (not the muslim crimminals) Indian Sikh origin. Asked me what I was doing ..just said standing up against the Muslims...she is proud..said she never trusts them etc...but paranoid about me getting into trouble. Mothers will be mothers. Think my friend supports the EDL..doesnt realise it yet.. media EDL = NAZI NF etc...Glad Steve F mentioned that there were Sikhs on the march as well. Think that got him really thinking. respect to all the EDL in that we highlight problems that have been hidden by Islam. They make victims out of all others...now claim to be victims... |

1) Yes, although their Extreme co-religionists would call them 'munafiq' muslims (hypocrites and kaafirs) 2) Certainly not; read this link http://s1.zetaboards.com/EDL_The_Forum/topic/3962375/1/?x=90#new 3) No. British Sikhs should be proud, More of them should wear their sikh turbans - very distinctive. Also Sikh beards are completely different as they tend not to trim/shave the mustache. Sooner or later he will realise that we are all in this together. Mr K is welcome back here anytime!

Even if Mr K doesn't become an EDL supporter, at least he now knows that he doesn't have fear us. The more Sikh's that know that the better. |
