http://www.yesmagazine.org/issues/can-we-live-without-oil/table-of-contents Can we really live without oil? Some say yes, some say no. I personally thnk that it would be a better world for all of us if we could rid ourselves from our shackles that chain us to the original rats of the desert! How the political climate would change when the hypocrites of the sand dunes no longer receive our protection, and can no longer buy our jets and armouries at the stroke of a quill, so read some of the content in my link and make your own mind up! Wodin. |

I think we could. Think about it. Scotland could have hundards of wind farms. Its always fecking windy up here and worse up in the highlands. Hydropower could be used also. They have cars that run on hydrogen, but no one can be arsed to make the jump. |

Hemp Oil works better than normal Oil. If you can find it, find the documentary on Youtube about it. America used it years ago before Cannabis was made illegal. |

We might not have to rely on the desert boys in a few years. Apparently they have just confirmed that there is oil just off the Falkland Islands, last year they estimated that there could be up to 60billion barrels under there. Considering 80billion is the biggest oilfield in the world, this could be great for Britain. One thing that does make me wonder though. Is this why we made such an effort to keep hold of the Falklands...afterall its just a sh1tty little rock in the South Atlantic! I reckon that there are a fair few untapped oilfields out there. I read somewhere that Alaska has a huge untapped field, and the yanks are just waiting for the right time to tap into it and shaft the middle east. Suppose this kinda thing makes political sense, not good for the little man like you and me, but good for big business. Lets be honest while there are still people making big bucks from oil, there is never gonna be a thriving market for 'clean' energies, even though they would be viable, they wouldn't be as profitable as oil, and as we all know...MONEY IS KING! |

Right now in Scotland we have next to no wind, and it is extremely cold. These two facts are not unconnected, these are classic anticyclonic winter weather conditions. Even when the wind is blowing windturbines just don't cut the mustard in terms of energy production. What we do have is some oil, a lot of coal, and masses of coastline that is ideal for nuclear power plants. |

no offense to our heroes who went there Para's-Marines, Guards and put up with freezing conditions, trenchfoot nd demented latinos shooting at them etc. but im glad there is something other that sheep and fcukin penguins on the islands... funny thing is when i first heard that Argentinan troops had invaded the British Falkland islands, i tought they could be in edinburgh or glasgow within 48 hours. because i just automatically assumed that the islands was up near the isle of sky or sheppy isles. yes i know off the coast of scotland... boy did mama and papa laugh at that one..

I worked in Saudi Arabia once and they actually know how to treat Pakistanis. They pretty much use them as slaves. They heard them round like sheep, pay then 50p per hour then when they've finished with them send their muslim brothers back to Pakistan! In our country we give them unlimted benefits, housing etc etc you know the rest. I don't think the Saudis will hold back their oil from us if we got rid of the muslim extremists. They are probably laughing at us for treating them so well. At the end of the day they only want the money. |

yeah ive heard falklands has an untapped oil source which is why were are there and something for future generations!!!! once we stop arse licking the saudis arse ect for oil i think the tables will turn....they will no longer be able to spread the word of radicall islam....cause lets face it thats where this radical islam comes from saudi arabia they train thousands of immans from a young age and send them round the world to preach there ways.....they have even changed the quaran to how hey want to and no body has even menstoned it??? once they are no use i think it will stop i just think it will be to late....it needs to be in the next 10-15 years ,but i think will be over 100 years by that time its all over it will be an islamic world!!! |

Here's some food for thought gentlemen. It's been estimated that oil in the middle east will have run out in 20-30 years time. It's also been estimated that in 20-30 years time, Islam will be dominant in Belgium, Holland, France etc.....So even by the time we stop sucking Saudi dick in exchange for oil...The damage would already have be done! |
