I'm interested in the merchandise being offered by EDL. Do members etc casually wear this gear daily or just for demo's.
I have never been shy to wear my what i like to joe public and ask is this a good thing to do. Wearing these items wouldn't really present me as a Nazi would it or give that impression? I hate how that word (Nazi) is so often used to silence fair questioning. I'd have no shame in wearing this stuff (and why should i?) to go shopping ect but would it be a good idea? Would i be accused if inciting something or the other?
The EDL needs to been seen daily i'd have thought, and not just at demonstrations.
Should i hide my views from the general public or educate strangers.
Hope i make sense.
Would anyone else have concerns wearing this stuff in daily life?

depends where you live i suppose, and if you want to be hassled walking down the street? however i agree with you that the EDL should be seen on mass everywhere every day, this would amybe make people realise its ok to speak out, and not to be scared, it may give the people sitting on the fence the push they need, as the begin to realise there not alone.

-amybe- maybe- damn fingers

i think it depends where you're planning on wearing whatever, i wouldnt walk round some parts of birmingham in a hoody for instance.

my point exactly, but if people wearing these hoodies were more common place maybe people wouldnt feel scared, and if they were attacked the amount of cctv in brum could prove who was to blame. now wouldnt that look nice in the papers.

in the city center it would probly be ok, i think you'd get some bad comments, but you'd get just as many smiles and comments of praise, maybe it needs to be done more?

I proudly wore my EDL t shirt as i did the weekly shop in tesco in the middle of huddersfield this morning. granted I did have a jacket on so only the never surrender logo was visible but it showed to anyone who looked, and quite a few did, sod em I dont care what they think. If asian teens can wear "solja of allah t shirts" let some arsy copper try to tell me im being racist. he will get the full value of my very patriotic oppinion as loudly as I can possibly give it. my streets, my nation, my duty, my principles and my god damned right......

I do wonder though, if wearing this gear, someone was attacked because of it, whether the press would report it fairly. Or would it be along the lines of 'Racist EDL supporter proked anger'. Do you see where i'm comming from?
With the way authorities side with the enemy, i'd imagine it'd be reported as my fault.

I live in Nuneaton and we have a big Asian community living in and around a street called Edward Street. This is a short walk from the Town Centre itself, in a quiet area of Town, opposite the Crew pub. Personally I would wear my EDL clothes to places like, the local shop, my local pub, and when I go out for something to eat but not in my Town Centre because of the large Asian community living not to far away. A man from Birmingham was stabbed in the stomach for wearing an EDL polo shirt and having a shaven head. My Town isn't as bad as Birmingham but I wouldn't put it past some of the Muslims living here to try something similar.
