That video was absolute rubbish, I doubt it single-handedly cost us the bid as the Europeans never had any intentions of giving it to us but this mess of a video certainly didnt help. |

British by birth, English by the grace of God. “St George he was for England, and before he killed the dragon, he drank a pint of English ale, out of an English flagon.” "In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot." | |

I don't know why the're bothering really, if we'd have been prepared to slosh about lots of 'ready cash' for, let's say 'entertainment' purposes, I'm sure we could of won. The video was hardly a surprise, the producers of stuff like that have no real concept of England, or Englishness and sold us all down the river many years ago! I had some guests, from Thailand, over a couple of years ago. We went to London to show them the sights, they asked where the English people were. They were horrified when I had to order a meal by pointing at pictures in a well known (global) franchise just near the Tower of London, because none of the staff spoke enough English ! |

The mirror described russia as a country riddled with corruption and qatar as a country with no freedom of speech. Sounds exactly like british multicultural society to me. |

Spot on Ruby, we'll soon be up there with the best of them. Our MP's are all practicing so hard that their bank accounts must be bleeding and buckling under the strain. |

More Like Putin having the dirty on the people who made the decision. He is former head of the KGB and was a field operative so he knows the best way of fcuking someone up.The fact he didn't bother attending himself shows he knew full what the outcome would be in advance. |

Certain higher ups in Britain think the world appreciates their rose tinted view of the global family. In reality, the world doesn't give a flying fcuk and are just getting on with their own local issues. |

I was gutted when i heard that we wouldn't be hosting the world cup but i flipped my lid when i heard Quatar will get to host the 2022 cup, i mean come on, its half the size of wales and only has 3 or 5 cities, the country is only 100 miles wide by 150 miles long, it takes the piss! |

Sepp blatters English are bad losers rant included this gem... I really sense in some reactions a bit of the arrogance of the western world of Christian background. Some simply can't bear it if others get a chance for a change,' he said. Quite revealing I think. |
