UB40 offer support to the UAF; They side with Martin Smith

Folks, this is a dark day, it would seem that UB40, my 2nd favourite group, and probably the greatest reggae group these isles have produced, have aligned and set themselves alongside the fascists of the UAF.
When I read this, my UB40 greatest hits album went straight into the bin.

A damn good group and a damn shame to see the back of them.

Great band, But we know how it is its cool to fight "Nazi's" as they would like to claim.
The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.

If you must have Reggae, make it Sir Bob. I know he'd be against the global Jihad for sure!
Brian of London has been actively occupying a very small slice of hideously over-occupied Tel Aviv since early 2009.

They can pull themselves almost to the twenty first century but eventually the cord tightens and flings them back.

UB40 have always been a left-wing band. I'm surprised that people are shocked by this.

Just more millionaire Marxists pontificating on the joys of multiculturalism from the safety of their mansions, just like Billy Bragg.

And to think they are Johnny 'Mad Dog' Adair's favourite band!

Their watered down reggae is irrelevant to this generation.

They were great in the 80's and every time I hear some of their tracks they evoke memories of good times.

However, I didn't buy their records back then and I'm not about to start now.

I can only imagine that they have spent their winnings from their previous hits and need the publicity. ^o)

Way too much "Reefer Madness" to make such a foolish choice; why don't they just stay with the music, they obviously haven't a clue about this.

Sounds like they are trying to revive a flagging career, most ofn their stuff is just cover versions anyway.
Winston Churchill on Islam ; ' The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities - but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world....

tbh I'm surprised actually. I know (not know like best mates) the band from about 15 yrs ago, they used to have a snooker club in Selly Oak, and Robin and a few of the others used to come into the Varsity boozer (old bar) for a few scoops. My mates were in a band back then, and Rich Bitch Studios were (and still are) just 100yrs down the Road. I always remember my mate giving Robin a demo tape, and Robin giving advice about the business, he was dead cool. Roll on a decade or so, and Astro was on the lash down Hurst St for Pride (like everybody else who was looking for a good knees up) and he too, was down to earth and as cool as they come.

They were a great band between 1980-1982 and a good band right uptill 1988 but after that they should have packed in.
As for joining the UAF i think they are so out of touch with real life.

As long as there only " one in ten" there'll always be outnumbered !

( ouch sorry )
"What is our policy?... To wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark lamentable catalogue of human crime. What is our aim?... Victory... Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terror. Victory, however long and hard the road may be. For without victory, there is no survival".
