In the 1950s we went to Saturday morning Pictures and saw Gene Autry Films from the US. As a kid growing up in Hackney East London I always wanted to be in a place "where never is heard a discouraging word" "where the deer and the antelope play" "And the skys were not cloudy or grey" Gene Autrys Cowboy code was followed by millions in the English speaking world and is worth looking at again 1.
