After the panorama programme on Monday my Daughter brought to my attention that they were learning about Islamic Law in R.E. I found it strange that Law was connected to what is suppose to be a Religious Education lesson so i phoned them and enquired the head of R.E. phoned me and informed me it was national curriculum and if we withdraw her from the lesson while they covered this subject she would fail her GCSE.

I then rang the Department for Education and this is the response i got.

"It is not part of the national curriculum and any teachings of islamic law are decided by the school and the local Education department the teachings of R.E. in this country are to be kept mainly traditional because this is still a christian country"

Just shows that schools are liars and they are willing to lie to parents just so they can continue to feed this crap into the system, obviously this teacher doesn't know me I always check what they tell me, and I will now be taking her out of this lesson until they have covered this subject.

Education Department said she will not be failed as islamic law is not covered on the test paper..

That's outrageous. Good on you for having the courage to stand up for your daughter. What was the schools attitude after you had called their bluff?

Still waiting for this teacher to call me and its not the first time i have challenged them about stuff like this. Our children should not be taught this if they want to learn about it why not go to a muslim school??

Exactly. Do you have any form of legal redress against this teacher. She has not only lied to you, but has tried to coerce your daughter (by threatening to fail her) into doing something that is not acceptable to you as a parent! Outrageous!

You should make a formal complaint, Lisa, that is totally unacceptable, don't let them

off the hook.

Where abouts in the country was this?

Lisa I would go one spet further and give the Daily Mail or Express a call and let them in on the Story. They would be very likely to carry this.

I think it would be a good idea for everyone to ask there kids if they are being taught Islamic Law (Sharia) and question the schools/education department.

Lisa, would you consider doing what ADW has suggested? It's a really good idea that will make an impact. A step in the right direction against the Islamification of Britain.
