Suburbs 'greater threat to Muslims'

More utter Boll**iks from the European Muslim Research Centre

Muslims and their mosques face a higher level of threats and intimidation in UK suburbs and market towns than in big cities, according to a report.

Case studies reveal examples such as a Muslim woman who was punched and called a "terrorist" in front of her petrified daughter. The report said such attacks often go unreported, and in this case the woman was too scared to inform the police.

She also played down the incident to reduce her child's distress and avoided explaining why she was singled out for wearing a burka and being a Muslim woman.

The new study, Islamophobia and Anti-Muslim Hate Crime: UK Case Studies, reveals this kind of unprovoked incident is a largely hidden.

The report is part of a 10-year academic research project led by the University of Exeter's European Muslim Research Centre (EMRC). It captures a snapshot of these experiences which are often unrecognised by the media, politicians and wider British society.

The research also combines an academic approach to identifying world events and policy information that inform the way reactions and actions towards Muslims can be influenced.

Findings show that since the 9/11 terrorist attacks, arson, criminal damage, violence and intimidation against mosques has increased dramatically and smaller or isolated Muslim communities in places like Colchester, Bishop Stortford and Boston have become especially vulnerable.

Dr Jonathan Githens Mazer, co-director of the EMRC, said: "Islamophobia and anti-Muslim hate crime are very real problems for British Muslims going about their everyday business."

The report also analyses the local activity by the British National Party, English Defence League and other organisations.

Part of the OIC's campaign to shut down all criticism of Islam under the pretect of suppressing 'Islamophobia' . I don't believe a word of it. Muslims are experts at playing the victim card.

IF any of this really happened do you think it would go unreported!!! Do they really think we believe their lies.

What they are saying then is that English people are threatening and intimidatory people. Well who would have thought it ? For the last twenty years we have had it rammed down our throats that we are tolerant.
So we have created a society that the planet knows is fair minded and generous to those in need, thereby encouraging these people to come, then they call the very people that built this society "threatening and intimidating".

This is a joke right ?

Predictably there's no mention of the threats and intimidation doled out on a daily basis by muslims on non muslims.
I think most of the country is sick of these muzzies playing victim all the time. ''Oh poor me'', ''How unfair'', ''That's offensive to me'', ''That's racist and islamophobic'' blah blah blah.

Never mind 9/11 we had our own Muslim terrorist attacks on 7/7 which have been celebrated by many British Muslims.....

The problem is that Muslims want their OWN communities...
We want to live in your town but we want to totally change it into something unrecognisable and if you refuse then we will be offended and you will be bad! racist/fascist!
Once we have changed it there will be no need for you to live here any longer and we will be better moving in all our relatives then you will no longer be welcome as its no longer your community its ours- the muslim community, comply or leave... but its a big country- you can move elsewhere.
What's the problem?
THEY JOINED FOR MANY REASONS, TO MARCH, TO SAIL, TO FLY. THEY WENT WHERE THEY WERE POSTED, BUT NOBODY JOINS TO DIE. THEIR LEADERS TALK ON TV, WHAT ELSE COULD WE HAVE DONE? BUT THOSE LEADERS LOST NO DAUGHTERS, AND NONE HAS LOST A SON. SO HERE'S TO ALL OUR SOLDIERS WHEREVER THEY MAY BE...AND HERES TO ALL THEIR FAMILIES, I RAISE A GLASS TO THEE...WEAR YOUR POPPY WITH PRIDE.

And one man who joined EDL last week was beaten up by a gang of muslims shouting racist abuse at him. The police refused to record it as a hate crime. It happened in a very muslim-dense area.

But of course, we have no Saudi-funded "Kaffir Human Rights Campaign" nor "European Kaffir Research Centre" to write reports about things like this.

Everyone knows about Stephen Lawrence; yet (statistically) nobody knows about Kris Donald. We all know why - because the lefties and the liberals believe that only white people can be racist (I've got a few racist non-white friends I'd like to introduce them to).

Several studies in the last 10 years have shown that the vast majority of muslims have NEVER been a victim of a race crime. And similar studies have shown that jews and gay people are far more often the victims of discrimination than muslims are.

How many non-muslims are in prison for terrorist attacks against muslims?

no way its true - most ppl living in suburbs wouldnt say boo to a goose let alone a burka'd up muslim woman (which is a big part of the problem, incidentally - maybe the suburbs need to be shaken awake a little?)
