I will try make Luton, but when I say south I mean places like Plymouth, Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Southampton, Brighton. I just feel it would be nice to protest down here. Nothing wrong with that is there? :)
You are dead right on this one mate. As we get bigger (well we have 2 this Saturday), I believe that you may see a North/South split some months and a huge one somewhere every 2 months. You're getting lot's of flash demo's by locals now though, so focus needs to be directed. What does you local division think and have you joined?

The problem is not students. What the problem is....is that parents have raised my generation to be lazy, ungrateful, Nd thinking everything should be handed to them without working. This coupled with rap music that promotes not working for a living and being lazy and a criminal has really fcuked my generation up.

However not all of us are bad. Some of us have parents that still were strict and brought us up well.... nd finally labor unions imo are a good thing. The communism that has infiltrated them needs to go. The left used to stand for the working class however that's all changed now. Here in the states you can make some damn good money being in a union. Wheth
r or not its the rail road union , the pilots union or a trade union. I've talked with people from all of them and nobody was a communist..... just looking to make a good living for the working class...

I'm right wing with nearly everything by a lot but as far as jobs go and the economy the right could fcuking care less about the working class. They are responsible for selling out all of our jobs to China. So I won't vote for either side in an election ...fcuk em both

I'm not saying uni education should be free, I believe you should pay for it, but the price of it going up, in my opinion, is not fair. :P
I tell you what mate, My Missus went to University in the states and if you saw the amount they get charged you would sh1t yourself. They have no low interest loans, or debt that can eventually be written off, or a threshold on repayments. Its fooking pay it back now or the bailiffs will be around.

Whilst I think the Education system needs improving, what people get in the UK is a far better deal than in a lot of countries.

Old Bill have played a blinder today, they have isolated those students and anarchists, they have kept them all penned in, all day, they are really pissed off and cold, hungry, thristy, busting to go for a piss, and I wonder how many will have the stomach to do the same thing next time, It's not nice to be penned in, is it, it's not so bad if you know you are going to be penned in but to be trapped is a bastard. I agree, 50% of world trade is conducted offshore to avoid tax, the rest of us have to pay tax for police, army, educated workforce etc that these companies use - they are as parasitic as a lifelong welfare cheat, and then these toffs have the cheek to claim they are patriotic whilst withholding taxes that could go to fund our troops in Afghanistan.
Winston Churchill on Islam ; ' The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. All these riots are being stoked up by the far left socialists because they don't like the con/dem coalition.
Exactly. If Labour were still in power and introduced these changes they would quietly accept it. Where were these protesters when Labour was pissing our money up the wall all these years? I was at uni in 1997. The socialists and student unions were teling people to vote Labour and it was Labour that then introduced fees.

I know people here (mainly Brits) who for 20 odd years have been working freelance using an offshore account and being registered in the UK to avoid paying German tax. These people are earning daft amounts, we are talking 20K PER MONTH in some cases.

The German Tax authorities started to get a hold on them about 2 years ago and they are now all bitching like fook because all of their assets have been taken Including in most cases multiple paid for houses in the UK and they have been landed with tax bills and fines close to half a million in some cases.

Grown men crying about how hard done by they feel. The cnuts get no sympathy from me.

Here is a little insight into what I'm paying here in the states. My first two years were spent ata two year community college. Very small but saved me loads of $$$$....I was able to work off that money and pay it all up front. Now I'm attending a 4 year university. The general tuition costs average $7,500 a semester so you can double that and make it $15,000 a year. So 15,000 times four and you're at 60,000 dollars on average that you've spent on your education here for a four year degree. Personally ill owe around 80,000-95000 dollars or more to the banks because of all my flight training fees that gets attached to the general tuition ... add on an 8% interest rate and well do the math... its sucks ..but what can I do? Being a pilot is my dream and I will do whatever it takes to obtain it...

I have some friends that attend a private university those are even more for a general degree you are looking at 120,000 by the time ur done... better get a damn good job if ur going to one of those... personally ill stick to my 4 year state university...tuition is not too bad for a 4 year....

The socialist style politics doesn't work. I know someone who lives with her mum so is classed as a single parent, got her fees paid for her and her dad is a millionaire.
Many kids don't appreciate education and if everyone had to pay for it out of thier hard earned cash they would cherish it.
I never went to Uni, worked my way up and worked managing people with degrees. If you have the nouce and tenacity you don't always need a nonsense degree. It was labours bright idea to remove people opf the jobless figures.
They don't like it up 'em.

I had to laugh at a video clip of one copper who seemed utterly delighted with the chance to whack someone with his baton.

Seriously, he must have swung it 20-30 times at the unwashed.

I love how all the students are crying about been penned in. Well they shouldn't riot and cause trouble then. . .bunch of tossers.

Think all the people in power (police/govt) are starting to realise the lefties are a bunch of nobs and that we're getting a bad press.

Ok so all students are not tarred with the same political brush, but you are all showing your ignorance. The Liberals like all small parties make a lot of promises that they know that they can never keep, because, they know that they are not going to win, and I hasten to add that the liberals did not win the election and gain a mandate from the public, so they have not broken any promises. If you can be bothered to do some research and read the proposals and understand them you will find that when implemented students will actually be better off. Be truthful you do not want to pay for your further education you expect me Mr Tax Payer to subsidise you through my taxes so you can qualify and earn far more than I possably can or ever could. Tomorrow morning I shall have to go to work at 3am on a freezing morning and drive to Newcastle and back round trip of over 500 miles and back if I am lucky as I may get snowed in. I will do that for the princley sum of 7.50 per hour. Why because at 67 I cannot afford to retire. Do you still want me to pay your uni fees.
My wife was a sleep when I went to work and I will be asleep when she comes in tonight with luck I will see her Friday night, and to think I married the girl to be with her not on some grotty motorway

Everyone knows that these cuts are coming to big and too fast.
No they don't

Some of us think they should be cutting harder and faster, but coupling that with a moderate round of tax breaks to stimulate growth

I hear ya old timer, I hear ya. I married my wife to be with her too. I was in a similar predicament, out the door at 05:30 in all weathers, working with a bunch of twats I didn't even like, getting home at 9pm and feeling totally knackered. Six sometimes seven days a week and for what? To pay bills and do it all again!?

I guess I'm luckier than you though mate. I seen the light early and quit my job! Started up a couple of small businesses working from home that earn more than I could ever earn working for some twat. Now I get to spend as much time as I like with my wife and kids. No more freezing cold treks to work, no more low life workmates and my life's my own.

I still pay taxes though. It makes me sick when I watch my hard earned tax being squandered by this government and the ones before it! Foreign aid, bank bailouts, human rights, the EU, Pakistani flood victims! Then when I look around my country and see the poverty and lack of government investment in our own people and investment in our own land it makes me sick!

These fcuking students need a good boot up the arse mate. Bring back conscription and get them in the army. Teach them discipline and respect. Teach them patriotism and love for their country. For God's sake let's stop paying to send these useless, brain-dead cnuts to university to learn how to be left-wing, bleeding heart scumbags who graduate with no hope of a real job and will only end up as burdens on our welfare state!

There, rant over.

I'm not applauding, i'd rather stay as a student and fight for the war on our own land. Seen what damage the war in foreign fields has done to my step brother.

I agree with you all as well, we should pay for it and all that, but there's sides to every story and as someone said to me once, do the prisoners have to pay back the costs of food and accomodation in jail? There were some other examples as well, which sounded totally plausible. But as it is, i'm happy paying my 3k a year to get into the profession i want. If you want it enough, you'll do it. If you dont and fees are playing a part, then perhaps you shouldnt even be bothering to go to uni and get yourself in the real world

Whilst its not our business or concern to get involved in student grant issues etc, and I personally don't think the students involved in this have much to complain about and they seem to be a bit of a bunch of apolitical spoilt brats out for a days exitement ; where we do have to keep our eyes on the ball is that my suspicion is that the likes of the Socialist Wankers Pratty will be using it to try to radicalise students and groom them into pro-islamist/UAF type politics.
We actually need to try to get the students on our side, most young people are pro-freedom, we have to point out the totalitarian & authoritarian nature of islam and their trotskyist lackeys.
Perhaps the various student lesbian & gay, humanist/atheist, and Jewish societies could have a role to play in this ?
Winston Churchill on Islam ; ' The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Idjut Bungmewonga, I've been thinking along those lines for a while. I firmly believe that the UAF/SWP & Unions are trying to destabilize the government for what ever reason.

They will align with Islam to do this as the Islamic fanatics will love noting more than a good riot.

Once the UAF/SWP and Unions have served there purpose to create a power vacuum Islam will then strive to establish its own states with in the UK.

In short they will use mass civil disobedience to there own gain.
