Hello. As I am new could you explain what happens on a march, ie, do we meet up first for a light beverage and introduce ourselves and because I am new, you won't know what I look like, though I doubt you will forget me I only ask because behind this rugged manly exterior I am a bit shy, and don't mention the ears I hope to attend the Peterborough march Sean. |

Demo's are great - you'll meet some proper people and be in very good company. Remember we all have one thing in common and we're a friendly bunch !! |
|
EDL = United by friendship regardless of race or colour. We may not see or speak to each other as much as we should , and we won't always agree on everything, but we WILL always pull together through thick and thin BECAUSE WE ARE FAMILY. | |

There's a great stewarding team in place - they are EDL through and through and if you have any questions , they'll help you out. Just go with the flow and enjoy it Flapper ! NS |

To be honest, most people in the EDL had never been on a demo before. Just take the plunge it's good fun! |

I not sure on my local division, I posted a thread in the Northants part of the forum but no reply yet. Do I have to join my closest division or do you have to join one which is in your county? |

The Preston demo has a muster point an theyre will be a couple of pubs to frequent if ya wish. Then we will be marched to the demo area where there will be waist high barriers but we wont be penned in.You have to stay in the designated area while the demo is going on(obviously) to listen to the speakers etc.Get yourself to the nearest one to where ya live saturday. If you think its a just cause just turn up an im sure you will soon be chatting to people. |

Maybe you have a little more cash to throw around than me then mate... Itd cost me a good £100 in fuel... so if theres some1 to share the journey with it drops the price of the trip. |

Click on Poole division on facebook and ask if he has any spaces going from Dorset. You could get a train then from your area to Dorset.

For those who are a bit unsure about going to their first demo, let me tell you this. My first was the Geert Wilders in London. All that I knew of the EDL at that time, was what had been reported in the media. However I considered that making a stand for England, Western Civilisation and the future of our children, was more important than my own safety. And so I went. When turning a corner and seeing a pub where the EDL with flags aloft were gathered, I knew that I had made the right decision. And even though I did not know anyone there, it was easy to talk to anyone, because we are all of like mind. Since then I have been to every meeting and demo that I can. It can take time to get to know people, But I can say that now I am beginning to make friends within the EDL family, and can report to you, that even though they didn't know me from Adam, I was, on Monday, able to shake hands with Tommy, receive a pat on the back and a great smile from Kevin and have a few words with Roberta. Don't be shy, we are all in this together, and together we will win. NS. Next Nuneaton. |

Search for your nearest EDL fb page and look on the left hand side column for an admin or contact. Tell them your situation and await a reply. Simple. (Off you go then, not much time left!) Might be worthwhile keeping an eye on your inbox in a separate tab/window. Good Luck! |
