Gravesend's Sikh community will move into the magnificent new Gurdwara (Sikh place of worship) on 19th
November 2010. The new building has been under construction since 2002 and this week sees the culmination of a
huge effort by the whole community to get the Gurdwara to this stage. The new Gurdwara is situated at the newlynamed
Guru Nanak Marg, off Saddington Street, Gravesend, Kent, DA12 1AG.

Yes it will make a lovely mosque in the years to come,
Well why settle with a musky old church when you can have a nice new temple ;)
This of course would be over the dead bodies of many Sikhs, theyve got a bit more backbone and pride than the majority of my so called countrymen
"Our ancestors took this land. They took it and made it and held it. We do not give up what our ancestors gave us. They came across the sea and they fought here, and they built here and they're buried here. This is our land, mixed with our blood, strengthened with our bone. Ours!"

Nations which go down fighting rise again, those who surrender tamely are finished

I wondered what that was on my way into work as I only got a glimpse of it. Fair play to them.
