a note of apology; ramblings from a Maker's Mark Whiskey binge

Just a note to say I've felt absolutely mortified and embarrassed for any rants I might have done to offend anyone here.
The stress and fear I live with after 9/11 rears it's ugly head every once in a while, and whiskey fueled rage doesn't make it any better.

Again, please accept my apologies, as I am a staunch defender of what EDL is fighting for.

Best,

jbm

I have no idea what you said but if it was drink related I can more than relate to it and have been apologising for Whiskey fuelled incidents ever since I started drinking the stuff.

Apology accepted. :D :D

Thank you and I appreciate that.

The Reader's Digest Version, that led me to start telling everyone off was that that the United Kingdom has always been afflicted with religious hatred.
Whether you were a Protestant or Catholic or what ever else, contingent on where you grew up guaranteed you hated someone else.

What baffled me was that at the end of the day that we're all Christian religions. We all report to the same God (if you believe in it) and I think I we all say the same "Our Father" (maybe with a bit of a moderation) but we all pretty much read the same bible.

From what I gathered about the EDL prior to joining this forum is that there is a whole other religion (Islam) that at the end of the day want's to either convert or kill us. From what I've experienced first hand, I know that's a fact.

So what pissed me off and set me off was some Celtic Poppy arguments. Yes I fully support a poppy, but yes I can also understand the Irish argument, and a more diplomatic way of recognizing all troops in the UK and Ireland should have been considered.

But, and this is the most important fact, to stray from what is the true threat (regardless of Protestant, Catholic, Jew, Hindu, Buddhist, etc.) and result back to ancient hatred sets everyone back and that's why I lost it.

And again, for that I apologize.
