SOLDIER IS BANNED FROM A CAB FOR WEARING UNIFORM
By Lucy Thornton 11/11/2010

EXCLUSIVE: Snub taints sister's wedding day

An raf engineer proudly wore his uniform at his sister's wedding - but the big day was marred by an outraged cabbie.

The taxi driver told the senior aircraftsman "no way - no uniform" and refused to let the 24-year-old in the black cab. He had just attended the nuptials with his family and they were stunned when the driver refused to take them to the reception.

The soldier's dad, who is a lecturer, said: "His mum hailed the cab and it pulled up outside the town hall.

"She opened the door and he joined her. But when the taxi driver saw my son, he just pointed at him and said, 'No way, no way, not in my taxi - no uniform'.

"She demanded an explanation but my son turned his back and said 'leave it, Mum'. The driver just drove off.

IT MUST BE GETTING BAD IF THE MIRRORS STARTING TO REPORT IT :ermm:

I believe the word one should use to describe this cabbie starts with a capital `C´ and ends with a ´t`, and comes swiftly after the words "traitorous f**king".

It was a black cab, so I assume he works for himself, however he still needs a licence to work, but I don't think anyone has made a complaint yet.

Yep they need to complain directly being a black cabbie.

this is 'racist' on part of the cabbie tbh and he should lose his license forthwith ... these kind of people are not embracing social cohesion, and should they feel offended by a brave man or woman in uniform they can fcuk off to some Islamic sh1thole that would be more of their liking tbfh ...

I can't believe this if a burka dressed person got in a cab and a white guy said no way there would be uproar.
They don't like it up 'em.
Don't tell them your name Pike.

Thing that makes us different from them Geoff is that we don't do things like that, we're better than they are and they know it. Part of their problem is a massive inferiority complex that comes through in the Koran and in their attitude towards any non Muslim. It's why they hunt in packs too, never one on one.

He's not a soldier. He's an airman. There is a distinct difference you know!
