Son's Emotional Tribute To Fallen Hero Dad. The 10-year-old son of a soldier killed in Afghanistan in March has paid a loving tribute to his father. ![]() It is one of several new tributes on Sky's Fallen Heroes page to mark Armistice Day. Serjeant Steven Campbell, 30, was a "really strong man and he was brave", said his son, Brandon. "I used to play football with him and every time I got near the goal he'd dive for me," the 10-year-old explained. "I'd be lying on the floor and I couldn't get up!" Serjeant Campbell and Brandon The little boy spoke of his adventures with his father when he was home in Chester-le-Street, County Durham. He laughed when he remembered how after being caught in freezing rain during a bike ride his father won the race for the first bath when they got home. "I really miss him and I love him," he said. "He said 'If I don't come back, I always love you and miss you'." The serjeant - his regiment, The Rifles, use the traditional spelling of the rank - was killed in an explosion in the Sangin district of Helmand province on March 22. As well as Brandon, he left his wife, Lisa, and his parents. TRIBUTE TO L/SGT DAVID GREENHALGH FROM HIS FATHER Among the other new tributes on Fallen Heroes is one from the father of Lance Sergeant David Greenhalgh, who was killed in Helmand province in February. In the moving video, Stephen Greenhalgh describes how he left his 25-year-old son's ashes in a place where he could "guide people". http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-News/Brandon-Campbell-10-Pays-Tribute-To-His-Fallen-Hero-Father-Steven-On-Remembrance-Day/Article/201011215799140?lpos=UK_News_Carousel_Region_1&lid=ARTICLE_15799140_Brandon_Campbell,_10,_Pays_Tribute_To_His_Fallen_Hero_Father,_Steven,_On_Remembrance_Day |

Poor wee lad, at the very least he has some good memories with his dad. We really do seem to forget the families that have been left behind by our fallen heroes. |

not saying all secular people, but my opinion is that secular life doesnt help much for remebering the dead.it seems to move away from the bereaved. god bless this young lad.you cannot buy what he holds in his heart, the same to all the fallen heroes and their kin folk and friends. keep the faith paxi. |
