BBC's the Big Questions ran a debate (introduced by a lady Vic) called Are Christians Being Persecuted; seen some quite acidic comments. Kids having to pray to Islam the barring of crucifixes were her points, pretty much lost in a messageboard hatefest, my two penn'orth ended up as a new thread called Wear your Crucifix

No two ways about it, Christians are being marginalised in the UK.

Say what you like, and I´m a lapsed Anglican, the UK IS a Christian country and it is Christian values that have made it the country it is today (certainly what it should be).

Couldn;t read any more these 'people' saying it isn't a Christian country forcing their laws on us. Can't be arsed educating them that Christianity is what this country has been built on. Go and live in a country with no religion, maybe the one were they lick the backs of frogs to get high, and wear loin cloths.
They don't like it up 'em.
Don't tell them your name Pike.

the trouble is with self deprecation other people think they have the right to put us down. they think that because we criticize ourselves and our religion we are seen to be without faith and they see us as weak and join in the chorus. i'm not saying you shouldn't criticize any faith especially your own because that would just make you blind and or unrealistic. but you shouldn't say things derogatory about Christianity if it is purely unnecassary. as someone pointed out on another thread Christianity is the basis of our tollerant sociaty, our culture, our judicial system, everything. what we have come here to defend. or we may as well throw in the towel and have the Sharia.

Britain isn't a Christian country anymore, it is a secular country, especially after the abandonment of the British people by the Anglican church. Minority religions are becoming bolder as a result and that includes the Catholic religion as well as Islam

You can be a Christian but many people feel disanfranchised from the CofE, therefore they don't attend church, this in turn weakens the infrastructure, churches are closed, merged and impact of traditional Christian values are diluted and lost, leaving a vacuum which other religions will fill

Britain is still a Christian Country. people need to stop saying the reverse is true. thats half the struggle. you don't have to believe, just recognize it. for all our sakes.

wait til Chistamas; watch these disespectful maggots have a go about Chrisrmas trees - they'll do anything other than be dhimmi in reverse, sort of thing. I don't care I am putting up a tree in my front-room window. But was amazed at the need of the maggots to refute the wearing of a Crucifix.

I'd love to see a life of Brian type film about Muhammad. Nathan Lane as Muhammad.
Because Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance. No screen writer would write the script,no actor would play a part in it ans no cinema would screen it.

funny guys. haha. still, on a serious note about christmas. we should be right in their faces this year. we should have a massive Christmas celebration. I know that my local council won't be putting up a Christmas tree in my town. cause they haven't for the last 5 but they used to. I'm going to get onto them to put one up this year. also a nativity scene. which i'm almost certain will be vandalized. if a Muslim takes the bate, you'll be sure to see them on the news.

I don't want to see a single Happy Holidays. I want Merry Christmas. no xmas. Christmas. in full. I will even donate some time and money to make it happen. keep you updated.
