i like this comment

"working-class "band of brothers" determined to preserve their way of life.""
also

Historically 99 out of 100 peoples' movements have come to naught – with their leaders in jail and their supporters dispirited.

There is no doubt that everything will be done to crush the EDL because the British government must be aware that if the EDL survives, it will force the authorities to openly choose sides: Islam or England.

If, however, the EDL can survive, stay the course and maintain its strength for just a few years, the battle will have been won.

Excellent! My favourite was:

Excellent article made from an informed opinion by somebody who travelled here and mingled with us. Nothing was stage managed for this gent and he was able to see us as we really are in our own environments and judge accordingly.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it MSM!

The funding issue is a problem. Theoretically if every single one of us (near 40,000 by facebook's calculations) just donated the price of one pint per week each (ie 3 squid each) that would give EDL at least 120,000 pounds a week to organise.
Yes, I realise there are many keyboard warriors who will not put their money where their mouths are but there are many who will.
Then there are also those of us who will gladly donate their time to the cause. This can be through spreading the word, designing banners, drumming up members, leafleting etc etc etc

I think EDL is here to stay, as our motto relentlesly states NO SURRENDER.

Well balanced analysis of the EDL by “Sigurd Ericson”, I am sure the leadership are taking notes and ready to act.

I believe there are a sufficient number of members occupying a variety of expertise / disciplines who could contribute either professional or financial support to the EDL.

I would gladly contribute both money and more time to the glorious EDL. Is it possible to set up a standing order. or would we do better to avoid going through the usual methods of fund raising ?

There is a donation link including a PayPal button on the EDL front page. :)

Sorry just checked: there used to be, it's not there now.

One of the best articles I've read on the EDL, very incisive.
