I'm constantly getting chatted up by gay men. Usually in random everyday places like in the supermarket or post office. I'm never aggressive towards them, I actually find it kinda funny and me and the missus always have a good laugh about it after :D

I'm a straight man and If somebody had told me a month ago that I would have been holding two big sticks, one with a pink Union Jack and one with a rainbow flag in the middle of London with hundreds of cameras around me, I would have said....... Damn right I will.... we're all in this together.
Well done that man[/quote]Holding two big what?!!!....Oh, sticks! I should get new bins!!! :D

You loved every minute of it!
With you holding the Rainbow Flag by the front door of the pub, it still didn't put anyone off getting a pint inside!

Oh the irony, the left must be totally confused? the EDL, a grass roots organisation with a large working class white male membership, defending the rights of Gays and Jews.

This must really be twisting their melons.

My husband ALWAYS gets chatted up too, it must be his blonde hair they go for.
I think it's hilarious. :)
They don't like it up 'em.
Don't tell them your name Pike.

Has anyone claimed to be a lesbian trapped in a man's body yet?
Brian of London has been actively occupying a very small slice of hideously over-occupied Tel Aviv since early 2009.

They can pull themselves almost to the twenty first century but eventually the cord tightens and flings them back.

The more gays the merrier, our demos could do with some stylish dressers ;-)

I could never understand why some people even feel uncomfortable round gays. Unless a gay guy is overtly coming on to you and not taking no for an answer it's a totally irrational fear. Last I checked gay wasn't contagious.
Was reason is when I was 18 me and a m8 went to Crete, end of season cheapy and it was raining one day so we stopped in the hotel bar getting drunk, started a convo with a couple of older fellas who seemed okay so we was drinking with them and got even more drunk. As me and my m8 (1st holdiday) were sharing a room we thought nothing of it when they said they had some ouzo in their room so seemed like a good idea.....hadn't been in the room 5 mins when one of them made it plainly obvious they was gay and interested in group action!!!

....fcuking hell the penny dropped and so did my stomach, we looked at each other for a split second and bolted both getting stuck in the door on the way out....it was like Billy Connolly's description of being in the water when JAWS attacked...we was knocking each other out the way to get in front.

so that shook us up at bit....you can hardly balme me, can you???
Unitedcolours, I do not blame you one bit, and I am gay. Your reaction was normal for the time and place. The only criticism I would have is: relax! No means no, and you have every right to say no. I just don't think you needed to get so scared. Being gay ios not contagious

Put the shoe on the other foot. If a young woman came up to your room for a drink after hoisting a few with you in the bar, and you proposed sex, and she answered: "Thanks awfully for the drink but I'm really not looking for that.", I assume you would be enough of a gent to bid her a pleasant good night as she left your room.

If those two gay men simply suggested sex, you could have said something similar and walked out calmly, not like the place was on fire. 99.9% of gay people are civilized human beings who can take no for an answer.

If those two guys were part of the 0.1% who don't understand what no means, and they tried to force themselves on you, then I would applaud you for smashing them a good one and rushing out of the room.

I was not there so I can't judge the situation or whether you were in any danger.

But you have to be more specific. Is you gaydar on full power so you can avoid them or meet them? I'm not a mind reader. :D

WIGONE....you are spot on about the idea for a banner..."LIVE AND LET LIVE"

VALTERON....it was 1985...remember we had the "gravestone AIDS" adverts on the tv etc...and like I said 1st holiday abroad...naive...etc etc....was just the fact that I suppose it felt like being 'groomed'.

Anyway, I've never been hostile to gays all I said originally is that if I was outnumbered I think I'd feel uncomfortable...thats all...some one else mentioned about overly camp gays....now they defo get on me tits...(no puns please Brian!!!)......just as OTT straight people would.

I did mention about a couple of old mates of mine that "knock about" together and everyone else realized but I was totally oblivious....it doesn't make any difference to me....they are still good friends of mine..

SLODGER...yeah its a good thread, its great where all can make their feelings known in an open friendly atmosphere accepting the rights of others preferences.
