Ive applied to go on question time in a few weeks time, what questions would you ask that would get through the censors, the foreign aid increase and the halal meat issue spring to mind. Also i was pretty appalled to see every party you could think of including the usual socialist anonymos parties but no sign of the BNP when asked which party i voted for. To give me a better chance of getting on i answered some lefty answers to questions such as the war in afganistan etc.

I think the last governments attitude to immigration as identified by the Times article that demonstrated that they wilfully abused the arrangements and limits to "rub it in the faces of the british establishment". The rest of us can go hang the schools the NHS can all just fend for themselves just so they can prove a point?!

I think if you ask a question relating to the special ones in any way, you may not get the opportunity to ask the question as they are all vetted first. I think one of the many reasons for the vetting of questions is to prepare David Dimbleby so he can adjudicate.

Given the opportunity myself, I wouldn't know how to resist presenting a 'dummy' question for vetting and then (after consulting on this forum) ask the most electrifying question I could to go for maximum studio and panel reaction. Without doubt, the question would have to have significance or relevance to many people or to a subject that's in the minds of the public but is denied by the wonkers upstairs.

You could, of course, ask why there has been no justice for Charlene Downes.

Why are you on question time, as in what is the subject matter or reason for debate?
and I also agree with Christine, say whatever you need to get your ass on the seat, and then put forward the main ammo. Will probably be edited out unless it's a live program though, depending on how controversial the question ;)
