Got it. Another mention by the police interviewed - `We can limit the number of people who can attend`. |

I talked to that Central Tonight journo/reporter at the Brum Sep 5th demo. I don't think that's a Muslim name. The piece was not THAT bad, considering. |

good to see the bloke trying to stop the guy shaking the lampost, we really don't need this sort of behaviour on our protests! What do you gain out of beating up a lampost! looking forward to Leicester, NS

Trouble is the media spent a long time focussing on the lampost being shaken and until you pointed it out I did not see the EDL guy stopping what was going on. I don't think many would. |

Humberstone Gate East? Wrong location and its a recipe for trouble as it is mainly frequented by Kurds,Iraqis and Albanians.I have seen several vicous fights in this location during the day.It would lead me to think the police are going to limit numbers to around 500 as it would be impossible to hold a demo with 2-3000 people in this location. |

Well, if they only let half of us in - they have to put the rest somewhere. Or, just keep telling us the buses will be back soon.....

Wonder how many they 'restrict from attending' if we have a right to protest, we ALL have a right to protest... right? |

Surely its the way forward, that OB seem a right fcuker and no way are they going to let a 1000+ of us at 1 demo point. It has to be thought about seriously otherwise too many people will miss out again! |

i say some one contacts the police about our concerns and if they dont reply we just park the coaches other side of town and get out there cause some real chaos. |

It wouldn't surprise me if this is going to be the pattern everywhere from now on; only allow 500 into a static and box the rest in trains, pubs, coaches and side streets for hours on end. |

LoL haven't heard the world 'baggsy' for a while ![]() I think they're causing more trouble by boxing people up in places they haven't saved up and paid for. I'd be majorly pissed off if there was a demo on the other side of the country and I didn't even make it there. |

right for one, the police ran away from the group of muslim soldiers and were scared giving the muzzies a much needed boost, we pay their taxes and yet they run away, the cops ffs. they are just ordinary people like me, you n everyone else, if they can get away with what they want to do theen we have to show them what we want not what they want us to do, dictating when we have to be at demos, dictating if its going to be a static demo, ffs static demo you may as well run home and hide under bed lol, whers the passion the raw energy we need to fight in the name of our countrys downfall. we dont listen to them they listen to us ENGLAND AND PROUD |

http://www.citizenseye.org/2010/09/29/humberstone-gate-east-is-chosen-for-protest/ It really is crazy.HGE is a major route for buses leaving the city and heading east. Its around half a mile from the railway station.I bet a certain amount will be escorted to the demo whilst the rest are taken to holding pens on Nelson Mandela Park. |
