A Iranian woman has been told that she could be hanged for the murder of her husband, despite never being formally convicted or charged for the offence. The case of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, 43, sparked worldwide fury after she was sentenced to death by stoning for adultery. I feel she may meet her fate soon, her government will not wish to lose face over this - especially from western pressure. Very sad indeed and so unjust. |

And not a student protest in site in England. I think there is a human rights talk on thursday in Newcastle about Iran and Burma next to the church at the monument in Newcastle. |
