Nah it's reported by BBC Asia and it's probably for some leniency. Don't forget taxi drivers in Bradford were under the cosh becasue a high number had criminal records.
It's the victim card again.
Oh and he wants the council to fund CCTV's in his fleet out of tax payers money.

I noticed that they did not give any description of the couple that attacked this driver; white, black or whatever. My conclusion from this is that is he is either telling porkies (although I assume he has evidence of a facial wound) or that the attackers were from his own tribe. I tend to go for the latter option myself.

I was thinking exactly the same thing Shelfside just before I read your post.

At least CCTV in asian cabs might stop them driving like maniacs , been pervy on white girls , driving while talking constantly on mobile ect , ect.

I dont drive and i sometimes have to get taxis , i would love not to get in a car with these creeps but all the non - muslim taxi companys have been driven out . Shame.
They are so creepy and unprofessional , not fit to be driving at all half of them , never mind ferrying members of the public around

In their defence, attacks on Taxi drivers are reasonably common. Is that a hint of sympathy? I hear you ask, to which I reply, INSHALLAH!! ;)

I have to say, I got a taxi recently and the driver was from Bangladesh. He was a good driver (didn't speed), and very polite and professional.

One swallow does not a summer make. But there are some good people who are muslims out there. Let's not forget that.

Ah, but attacks used to be a rarity so why the upsurge? What's inciting people to criminal acts?

Perhaps, as our governments are so keen on social experimentation, they should replace ALL muslim taxi drivers with non-muslim drivers AND/OR don't allow people who've drunk alcohol in vast quantities into taxis AND/OR free taxis from having to pick up a certain age group, ethnicity etc. to nail down the problem. As for me, I think people are fed up with social engineering and see certain (or all) ethinic groups as representitive of these failed and discredited governmental policies and are taking out their frustrations (and being complete tawts about it).

Is it racial? I think it may well be but show me any country on the planet where there is absolute racial utopia - if you can.

Cash businesses always pay well. That's why so many of them work in cash businesses.

Taxi drivers round my end are a joke, all the english companies have been forced out and the legit muslim drivers share there cars with relatives who aren't licensed to drive a taxi and in some cases as my girlfriend and a friend found out don't have driving licenses at all, they were in a taxi which was stopped by the police, the driver didn't get his story right so they questioned him a lot till they found he had no driving licence at all.

The cab drivers in Huddersfield (only the asian owned ones) were all fitted with c.c.t.v courtesy of the council tax payers in Kirklees a couple of years ago at a cost of many thousands of pounds. Having said that, a decent married man and father of 3 young children was kicked and beaten to death by a gang of evil street rats in a village simply because he was an asian man. I dont think we the tax payer should fund c.c.t.v for taxis when we dont put it in areas of cultural tension (birmingham terrorist supporting areas for instance) the other side of the coin is though, that, the taxi driver was murdered by evil scumbags BECAUSE he was asian. this is wrong and we should address the fact that there are bad and good on both sides of the fence. I happen to know a couple of taxi drivers one a sikh and one a muslim, they are both nice people and they both get angry and upset about the same issues. normal people like you and I. extremists tend to stay in the shadows where they can, they dont like to mix with the kaffur. lets not get the everyday working man mixed up with these evil hatemongers.

Just like abattoirs, they've a stranglehold on some areas of business and commerce. Should be against the law to provide a legitimate business or service to the general public whereby that business or service is denied or withdrawn due to your own beliefs. If not, they should be considered to be a part-time business or service.

Okay, @Shelfside, you may consider yourself as the winner - but only 'cos my post should have continued with the inclusion of 'countries' that have a large amount of immigrants trying to change the demographics, political agenda and'or religious profile (or allegiance) of the said country. Or am I now being pedantic? :D

(Gulp!) I know, that's what worries me! However, I'm proud of my family heritage, we have all been gifted with a determined attitude to never give in or concede in the face of adversity. Thanks for the compliment although I do find difficulty in engaging in protracted posts at great depth. (Result of PTSD following an 'incident' affecting concentration, can't go any further in the public domain.)

Sorry to hear that. But I believe I am like you in certain respects, adversity is there to overcome not to walk away from. Although it has cost me in the past!

A bit off topic, I know but the same here. I've always stood by my principles and lost two jobs in Saudi because of it. Not that I did anything wrong but corruption is rife over there and I refused bribes and threats against my personal safety 'cos I wouldn't be bribed into accepting large sums of money to falsify accounts with the result that the care provision for hospital patients would have been compromised. (Long story.) Principles cost me a Job in UK as well but at least I can hold my head up and I couldn't say that if I was aware of the gradual islamification of UK and did nothing about it.
