Police chiefs will unite on Monday in a bid to tackle the growing problem of honour killings and other related violence in Scotland.
There is one honour killing in the UK every month.

First thing they should do is drop the word 'honour' murder is murder. It makes me cringe everytime the IBC aka BBC uses the word honour. Honour should be replaced with barbaric.

They usually say "so called" before honour killings but you are absolutely correct, it's nothing but murder and that is what they should call it.

Calling them Honour Killings almost seems to add some justification to them. I don't know about you but my definition of Honour is something completely different and would never involve the taking of a life regardless of what they did.

Savages!

We'll see if anything happens other than trying to 'reach out' to the muslim communitys about this issue, honour killing are a sick practice that needs a robust responce.

IMO, a robust reponse would be to regulate Mosques and monitor what the Imams are preaching.

It's "honour" to them. They have to restore "honour" to their family that they lost because their daughter had a boyfriend or something like that.

Did you read that girl's story underneath? Her crime was being caught with a school friend, who was smoking.

NOT 'honour killings' but 'Islamic Faith Based Murder'.

From the second link:

"Every year in the UK, a dozen women are victims of honor killings, occurring almost exclusively to date within Asian and Middle Eastern families."

Why can't they be honest and say: "MUSLIM?"

These reports ought to be front page news in all the British media.
